Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kimi had made her way to this area several times, this time on official orders and notification in advance the area as she moved in seemed to change. Although there wasn’t a hush and no one stopped working completely there was a change of sorts. People were giving her a bit of a birth since she was here on official business. She could hear the rumored whispers, her being here to go into the tunnels again, some say there might be feral animals to attack monsters she was going to take down, others possibly fugitives hiding or lost in the dark she would take down. For the most part it sounded like she was there to do something beneficial and she wasn’t someone to mess with. Rumors and word of her had spread after she had first came to help the miners trapped in the darkness. The blind girl who saw the unseen, they didn’t know the official reason she was here and the higher ups hadn’t given them the specifics. Stating it was for safety reasons and to a relay ready or a runner in the unlikely event she would need medical attention did pop enough flags for them to know it was serious and not to get too involved.

She was pretty sure she had heard an older gentleman saying good luck under his breath to her. Was he not sure how to come talk to her? Did he not want to bother her? Could he have been one of the ones she had pulled from the cave systems? It was unclear.
Kimi would have a moment to ready herself for her actual mission of finding the entrance in the cave again, the door she couldn’t unlock, and since it was an official mission based through her branch, safeguard any discovered secrets of the village hidden within or seal them off if too dangerous for use or discovery from outsiders or civilians.

(OoC: Current Status: Normal. Current Objective getting to the door from before and unlocking it.)

Right. Left. Right. Left. The steady patter of shoe on earth was the only thing keeping Kimi tied to the ground beneath her. Today was the big day. The time for her to figure out exactly what was going on...to figure out the mystery behind the strange door, and the even stranger crystal fastened securely to her violin bag. She walked briskly to the main cave's entrance, pausing for only a moment to give those watching a small smile, before stepping into the cave. As the cool air wormed around her, she pulled her headphones over one ear, fishing through her pocket for the device. She hit a small button, and her own voice began to replay in her hear.

"...The gap I'm looking for should be about ten minutes in, but I don't think that's really a worry. It was really hard to miss last time. Setting an alarm just in case." Replaying her previous actions, Kimi set an alarm for ten minutes past the current time. After doing that, she took a deep breath, and started forward. She sent a silent prayer of thanks that she hadn't managed to hit that fabled growth spurt yet. Though she really wanted to get taller...anyway, back to the important things.

Those ten minutes went past in relative silence, the steady rhythm of her footsteps serving as a constant drum, keeping her on track. The alarm went off far before she was expecting it to...time went quickly in the cave. Sure enough, not moments after she heard the ringing, she could feel the draft brushing against her legs. She dropped to her knees, crawling through the opening with caution. She felt the roof rise, and stood as it allowed. She took a deep breath...things were going perfectly...wait. Shouldn't that be a problem? Something was bound to happen before long.

It was odd to not hear the creepy voices as she got closer, it would probably make her wonder if she was on the right track to where she wanted to be. She was mostly sure she was where she had gotten before in the labyrinth of cave tunnels though as she waited. Noticing the crystal shake slightly before it violently started reverberating where it was fastened was apparent in the silence. It ‘chimed’ as if it was being struck by something gently and resonated sound before going silent. The first tug from the crystal as if someone was pulling on it got Kimi’s attention. This wasn’t the sort of place for a mugging though so when the second tug came suddenly along with a series of insistent tugs in a specific direction just made this seem a little too surreal as if being pulled by an excited child. Moving in the direction of the tugs Kimi might wonder what it was from, some gravitational pull? Something supernatural? The crystal being a key came to mind, to what and how it related was left to be seen. When she felt she was a few inches from a wall in the cave the tugging stopped and it was silent once again for several minutes.

The sudden creepy voice suddenly speaking might have rattle the young lady a bit in the silence.

”It findssss the door and choosssses to open….” it breathed out in it’s raspy although cryptic explanation. Well creepy voice she was on the right track though.

Feeling the area in front of her Kimi would find something odd. It didn’t feel like a door, it was mostly a smooth stone surface, there were various tactile areas of embedded stones it seemed but this was definitely not a door. No handle no lip of a frame. Would this have been easier if she could see she wondered but the realization she hadn’t brought a light source would probably dismiss the idea. In the silence she stopped. It felt like her right ring finger pulled in a stone. It was recessed now and she was pretty sure she heard a faint but definite click. Could the door be the wall? Did she really want to open the door? Would the creepy voice person be on the other side?

(OoC: Tactile puzzle key lock, you currently have one point discovered and unlocked. Further searching of the wall for points to test are required, you have no idea how many points total there are. PM me if you have any questions.)
