Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

  • [col]A cat? Kimi almost couldn’t believe her ears. It was her first mission, sure, but she sort of expected something a little more…charming. What was she thinking? It was silly of her to expect anything more. She shrugged it off, taking her mission assignment in stride. Everyone had to start somewhere, after all. She slung her violin case across her shoulder, and set out. It wasn’t very far away, so she wasn’t really worried about getting lost or taking too long. It was just far enough, however, that there was a small chance of running into someone along the way. She really didn’t know what it was that encouraged Kimi to take the scenic route through an abandoned alley. In all honesty, it was probably a mistake caused by a difficulty seeing. It was something she always tried to pretend didn’t exist, but her lack of proper vision always seemed to get her into sticky situations. She would probably have been fine, if it hadn’t been that specific alley she went through. She was wandering through the slightly darkened side street, when she could hear a strange sound. It was a strange sound, though one she could vaguely recognize as a spray bottle. She squinted, trying to identify the source. It was then that she noticed them. It was nothing but a few shadowed figures, standing near a wall. An arm was raised with something in its grasp. She stepped up beside the nearest figure, so quiet they hadn’t even noticed her approach. ”Whatcha doin?” she smirked, standing on her toes so she could whisper it in the figure’s ear. Understandably, he flipped his shit.

He swung an arm around, catching her completely off guard. She took the hand full in the face, stumbling backwards from the force, catching herself against the wall. She heard a sickening crunch, and reached a hand into the side pocket of her violin case to find the broken remains of her glasses. Great. Just what she needed. Broken glasses. She hadn’t even had time to react to the punch, when the second figure turned the spray paint her direction, and pressed the trigger. Without warning, Kimi was met with a face full of paint. She tried to close her eyes to protect what was left of her vision, but she was too late. The paint had effectively erased whatever vision she had left. She was effectively and completely blinded by the panicked

[/col]actions of the two fleeing boys. She reached an unsteady hand to her face, trying to rub away the paint covering her face, but it only served to smear it further. She opened her eyes, confirming that her vision was, indeed gone. As she tried to sort out what exactly happened, something in the back of her mind clicked. It was as if that event opened some locked door in the back of her mind. Whether her hearing actually improved, or she simply became more aware of it, she had no idea. All she knew was that, despite losing her vision, she could see the world around her. Not as a normal person would see with their eyes, but through the sounds she could hear. She brushed her hair from her face, out of habit more than anything now, the simple action causing her to giggle. The sound was strange to her. It echoed through the alley way, surrounding her in the ironic cheer. She was blind.

Kimi really didn’t know how to react. She couldn’t honestly say it was surprising to her. Somehow she always knew something would happen, something that would cause her vision to fail her. Ironic that it would be something as silly as a few stupid kids and their spray paint. What surprised her more than anything, however, was how natural it felt. She found that she could walk through the street as easy, if not easier, than when she still had vision. She spent a few minutes thinking on the topic, before she remembered something. A cat. Something about a cat….oh yeah! She was still on that stupid mission. She dusted herself off, grateful she couldn’t see how horrific she appeared with paint smeared all across her front in what was probably quite the amusing pattern. She made her way through the rest of the city, following the soft sound of a mewing creature to the source. The cat was most certainly stuck in a tree, she deducted from the direction the sounds were originating from. She reached a hesitant hand out, finding the base of the tree in her hands. She sat down at its base, and thought. As she thought, an idea came to mind. It was ridiculous. There was no way it could actually work. It was the only thing she could think of, however, seeing as how she couldn’t very well climb a tree, especially not in her state.

The young girl stood a few steps back, her body positioned so she was facing the general direction of the tree. She took a deep breath, and let out a soft mew of her own. To anybody walking past, it must have seemed incredibly strange. There was a girl, covered nearly head to toe in paint, staring blankly at a tree, and meowing like a cat. They would have been even more surprised to find a small furry face peer through the branches of said tree. A few moments later, the cat launched itself down from the tree, landing gracefully on the girl’s shoulder. It rubbed its furry little cheek against her head before jumping off her shoulder, and skittering away. Mission completed, she made her way back through the twisting streets to the doors of the academy.

Definitely more than a simple mission.
