Standing against the back wall of the colosseum. Yoshi had his arms crossed with his eyes closed. The night was still young and the area was vacant. Replaying the recent chain of events, Yoshi could've did some things differently. He was a genius, but dealing with the insane world and logic of females was still new to him. He was a friend trying to help, but Akane was too intoxicated to see that. To make matters worse, Yoshi was struck in the face by some loser that had a temper tantrum over a damn hat. If it wasn't for Junko raising him to be more cool, calm, and collected, Yoshi would've definitely went toe to toe with the bastard in the susukino district.

"How long do you plan on watching me?" Yoshi said waiting for the figure in the shadows to reveal himself. A sudden growl could be heard, one from a peculiar beast. It didn't reveal itself, but remained in stealth instead. Using the shadows to its advantage, the sound of the growl grew closer. So close, it was like the beast was standing right beside Yoshi. As the deep beastly growl lowered, the being spoke.

"Your brothers have been growing. You should stop by, they miss you."

"Will do. Is father still away?"

"He recently returned actually, but he'll be heading back out soon. Some diplomatic mission in stone with the Raikage."

"Ah, well I hope he has time off for family soon. Akane needs him, I need him, our family needs him."

"You know family is important to him. So, I'm sure he's aware. Until he comes back, take the lead and try not to let your guard down."

A sudden chill was at Yoshis neck as the beasts breath could be felt against his skin. Quickly pulling out a specialized Kunai, Yoshi stabbed at the figure, but only connected with the colosseums wall. Shaking his head, the mysterious figure was already gone. "missed you by a split second Kiba. Lucky." Yoshi said as he put his Kunai up. Refolding his arms and leaning against the wall, Yoshi continued waiting for Hat boy with his eyes closed.

[Uragaeshi Riyoji]

Seems the challenge that Ri issued would come far sooner than he expected. The same night, in fact. Not that he cared, his revenge would be sweet, he just knew it! Having no hat felt so damn strange, it was always by his side, on his head, or around his neck. Damn thing was never where he wasn't, and it had been a long ass time since anyone had dared to touch or damage it. But now, some blonde bastard who thinks he can do whatever he wants decided to crush and burn it. Almost like he knew Akane would fry him the moment they made contact. No one could be blamed.. But him. It didn't take long for him to reach the Colosseum, despite his slow speed and lack of urgency.

Upon entering the building, he was let right through. He'd been there enough that all of the staff knew who he was, and knew that a challenge was posted for him. His wooden sandals clicked against the hard stone floor as he walked, echoing through the dark halls as he approached the staging area. There was no need to wait, as he was informed that his opponent was already waiting for him, so he went straight into the long-ish hallway to the pit. Instead of seeing the usual bright light from the sun as he approached the exit, he now saw a dim glow from torches and lights that lit up the pit for all to see the battle. Immediately after taking his first step in, the crowd cheered. They were about to see bloodshed.

"I hope you're ready you blonde bastard, I'm gonna make sure this wont be fun for you..." This was the only thing he wanted to say before crouching down, hand on the hilt of his blade. He had to make sure the man before him couldn't damage something as precious as his hat ever again...

"I hope you're ready you blonde bastard, I'm gonna make sure this wont be fun for you..."

"Awe, don't call me names. You'll hurt my feelings." Yoshi said with sarcasm and feeling the need to cut loose and have fun with the situation. Stepping into the arena, Yoshi wasted no time in kicking things off. Accumulating speed, the yellow haired Seikon leaped into the air while focusing chakra in his hands and channeled it to his Kunais in his holsters. Doing a single front flip, he launched the Kunai with speed and accuracy towards Hat boy. "Shadow Kage Bushin" Yoshi thought launching the technique.

Instantly, hundreds upon hundreds of replicated Kunai would be sent Ri's way, covering majority of the arena or location he stood in. Hit or miss, as Hat Boy was occupied, Yoshi made a few quick hand signs to form to clones. Afterwards, he attempted to enter the shadows(stealth) of the arena, hopefully leaving everyone puzzled of his location. As an ANBU in training of his caliber, it should've been easy, but his opponents skills were unknown. Turning on the SnapShot ANBU jutsu, Yoshi decided to record. This would definitely be something he'd want to look back on.

"Tch!" This Tsuyoshi kid was starting to piss Ri off, it was hard to tell whether he was a snarky asshole, or a goody two shoes. Maybe he just acted differently in front of women? Wouldn't be the first time he'd seen someone like that. Thankfully, he didn't take much time getting into the action, and launched what seemed like thousands of kunai at the hatless boy. "Well then.." He mumbled as he quickly made some hand seals and summoned a wall of metal in front of him to block the kunai clones. The sounds of metal clashing with metal sounded through the arena, and when they stopped, the metal wall crumbled in front of the giant, revealing the lack of an opponent in the pit. "A disappearing act huh?" The boy shouted, his damned bad eyesight got the better of him here, the shadows produced by torches made it impossible to see anyone inside of them.

He didn't have much time to figure out how he was supposed to find that blonde bastard, so the only thing he could think of now was to produce his own light. Ri reached down to touch the ground, and the moment his hand met with the hard sand of the arena, four strange circles of light appeared on the ground beneath him. Moments later, lava spewed from the earth, not only lighting up the area, but covering several spots with lava, which would certainly hurt if you entered them. Once the lava spouts ran out, Ri quickly scanned the area until he found Yoshi. Yoshis? While he was busy making some lights of his own, clones were made that would certainly make it difficult to locate his actual opponent. To avoid being hurt too much from multiple opponents, the boy activated his molten cloak, covering himself in chakra that seemed to flow slowly out of him, rather than burst, and produced enough heat to burn anyone who got near him. Now it was time to test some of his newer abilities...

Ri's forearms would detach from their biceps, revealing what looked like living lava squirming underneath his flesh, keeping the two sections together. "Well that's an interesting feature..." The boy said with a bit of excitement, it would be fun to test this out. Once his hands touched the ground, the boy rushed some of the clones, swinging his arms at them as he tried to bind and burn them until they either disappeared or tried to escape. He figured this would be the quickest way to find the real Yoshi.

Watching Ri from the shadows, he had some interesting moves as he illuminated part of the area with lava as it soaked and burned several spots across the battlefield. Continuing, the guy was also crazy enough to create a lava out of lava and detach his limbs with ease. Just what the hell was he? "The ANBU branch has some strange tricks, but I've never seen one like this." Yoshi thought as he launched towards Yoshis clones in search of the real Yoshi.

Attempting to move, one of Yoshi's clones were immediately caught and placed in a tough bind. Being burned and squeezed, the cloned exploded into water causing steam to accumulate around Ri's hand and through the rest of the battle field. Taking note of this, Yoshi's second clone immediately rushed in with a Kunai in hand attached with a paper bomb. Attempting to make several strikes with high speed, upon any block, successful strike, or being hit by Ri, Yoshi's clone would exploded due to the paper bomb.

Upon the explosion, water would release over the battlefield. Each bit would create immediate steam as it came in contact with lava. Hopefully, it would be enough water to turn the lava and Ri's armor into nothing more than heavy hot rocks. If it didn't, at least the steam would provide more cover for Yoshi's stealth. Moving in with reality bending high speed next to Ri(QuickSilver Step), Yoshi would attempt a sneak attack. Hit or miss, he'd try to continue with the Quicksilver pursuit technique, allowing him to step outside reality boundaries and dish out four seemingly simultaneous strikes with a Kunai.
