Izanagi punched the tree for what seemed like the millionth time, his knuckles slightly bruised from the contact. It was obvious the boy was tired from all of the training his dad had forced on him the past few days, to make up for the fiasco that was the ANBU class. Honestly, it wasn't even his fault - his teacher was just psychotic.
His fist slammed into the trunk, breaking off even more bark - a bunch of the stuff littered the ground around him, and he'd even got a few splinters. He wished it was a rock, but his dad made it a tree because he knew how much his son hated training with trees - a good punishment, the tall boy admitted, but still incredibly dumb.
He could see his father standing on the porch out of the corner of his eye, just watching and waiting.... For what, he didn't know, but it was getting annoying now. It was like he was being tested, and for what, he had no idea whatsoever.
So he just continued doing what he was doing, and that was laying the hell out of the tree. He briefly wondered if there were any living creatures in it. Not the small ones, like bugs and stuff, but larger animals, like squirrels or birds. They must be scared out of their mind, the tree was shaking so much.
But Izanagi just sighed, and continued abusing the tall piece of trunk. Maybe next time he wouldn't fail a class. If there was a next time.
