Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ritsuko had never bin at the library before, but since her latest encounter with the boy named Daisuke, she had bin doing some thinking. They had exchanged their knowledge about jutsu, and the question about what she would do if she met an opponent there was immune to genjutsu, made her realize that maybe it was time for her to train other things than just genjutsu. Since she got the dream to be a shinobi she wanted to specialize within genjutsu, and when she started at the academy she was sure that was what she wanted. But she hadn't given it a thought that maybe someday she would encounter someone immune to genjutsu, and if it was the only thing she knew, at that time it would be over for her. She couldn't rely on only genjutsu, no matter how good she may be at it.

Just a little time ago she found out that she had affinity to earth, and her uncle which knew a little ninjutsu and also had affinity for earth had shown her some few jutsus, but that just wasn't enough, so she had decided to go to the library to do some research. The library was big, and there was more books on one shelf than Ritsuko had seen her whole life. She was impressed by the size of the library, all this knowledge placed in one place, it was impressing.

After looking through the enormous amount of books, finally she found two which looked like something usable. She found a table an sat down, first she started to look a book about general ninjutsu through. Ninjutsu looked kind of interesting, though genjutsu still seemed better, but to be a shinobi you have to know more than just one thing. It was a shame that Ritsuko had the earth affinity though, she hated everything dirty and muddy. That's one of the reasons she chose to specialize within genjutsu, it didn't seem like a fighting style where she had to get so aggressive, or dirty.
She continued to look through the books, the library was quit and calm, maybe she was going to hang out here some more.

She finished the book about general knowledge of ninjutsu. She couldn't use this to anything. If she had said that to a grown up, they would probably have told her she was wrong. -You can't learn anything in the shinobi world, if you don't know how it works inside you and your opponents body- she could clearly hear her uncle's voice echoing in her head. Good for her he wasn't here to give her another preaching of moral. She wanted to get the hang of this ninjutsu thing fast, so she could go on with her genjutsu training. Maybe if she found some scrolls with ninjutsu, showing how to actually do different jutsus. She had never seen such a scroll before, but it couldn't be hard to find.

But before she were going to look after the scroll she wanted to finish the other book anyway. Her uncle's word echoing in her head, had made her realize it was true. First time she got the hang of genjutsu, were after her uncle had told her of the opponents nerve system. She finished the book about how you manipulated chakra into an element. since Ritsuko had affinity for earth, she were going to look for some scrolls with earth ninjutsu. Once again Ritsuko was overwhelmed by the size of the library, it was hard to find anything in here. Especially because of her size, she wasn't very tall, she couldn't even reach the third shelf, or see which books was on it.
She dragged a chair with her through the library, it was going to take a long time.

She stopped in the middle of the library, with the chair behind her in her right hand. She sighed, this library was enormous, and she was so small. Maybe it was time to give up, or why not just ask somebody else for help. She tried to get a overview of the library, were would it make sense to look for scrolls with ninjutsu.

Yuu groaned as he stepped through the doors into the large library of Kumo not because of studying, but because of the pain in his head right now. Ever since the incident back in the Nimbus Delectatio a few days ago, he was plagued by headaches ever since. He thought of it at first as a sudden headache back in the New Year's Eve fireworks, but 5 days later, he started to have continuous headaches ever since. Thankfully as he looked around the huge interior of this huge library to distract himself from the pain, it suddenly disappeared once more, much to his relief.

"Good, now that my headache is gone again, maybe I should start reading some books about Genjutsu and Ninjutsu and hopefully more about the elements and advanced elements that Kai mentioned back at New Year's Eve." He then went to a nearby section with an enormous amount of books stored in more than one shelves. As he looked through the books, he did notice some scrolls about advanced elements and Lightning Ninjutsu as well books about Genjutsu and Taijutsu. He had no clue why did he want on the latter in the first place, but he knew it would be useful when it comes to more techniques to it.

"Alright. I should find a table for me to read on. But judging by the size of this library, I should be more worried at being lost rather than finding a vacant table." But as he looked around while he walked through the shelves for a table, he saw not only an empty seat near the table but also a young girl wearing cat ears headband on her flat black hair standing behind another chair, who was somehow looked around the interior of the library. "Hmm... She somehow looks like Kei-chan." Curious and worried about the girl, Yuu then approached to her with books and scrolls in his arms and pulled up the empty seat next to her before he asked, "Hey, you don't mind me sitting next to you? I wanted to read these scrolls and books and I was thinking you need some company."

Ritsuko got her eyes on some scrolls, she dragged the chair with her over to the shelf, so she could reach them. The luck wasn't with her, it was just medical scrolls, she just couldn't find what she was looking for. She dragged the chair back to the table, the books she finished before still was on the table, she grabbed them and were going to put them back where she found them. She had given up on finding the scrolls today, she could always come back tomorrow, maybe their would be someone she could ask then. She had put the books back, and was once again standing behind the chair. She looked around one last time to see if she could find anything. She turned around and was about to leave, when a boy suddenly was behind her.

The boy didn't look much older than her, though he was a lot taller. His hair was dark, and he had blue eyes "um, actually i was about to lea..." She stopped half way through her sentence. "Yea, um.. Any chance you would know were to look for earth ninjutsu scrolls" She asked the boy. It would be fantastic if he just happened to know were to find some. "I was about to leave, cause i can't find them anywhere" she smiled at the boy. It looked like the boy had a little trouble with his arms filled with books and scrolls. "Let me help" She took some of the book's and scrolls and put them at the table. The boy looked nice, and he did ask if she wanted company, so he had to be a kind person, and if just he could help her find some earth scrolls, she wouldn't mind some company. Though she mostly liked to be alone.

When he asked the girl if he can sit next to her, she quickly tried to excuse herself, but to Yuu's confusion, she instead asked if he seen a scroll about Earth Ninjutsu. "Um... Yeah, I just saw it when I'm getting this scroll about Lightning Ninjutsu. I think it's right about there." Then, he allowed the girl to help him out carrying the scrolls and books to the table before he pointed to where he found the said scroll.

After he did, he knew he needed to get to know along with the girl. "So since you're looking for Earth Ninjutsu, I'm guessing you're studying at Aurora Eruditio as an Academy Student, right?" He asked as he waited if he needed to escort her to the Earth Ninjutsu scroll.

She followed his finger, as he pointed her in direction of were she could find earth scrolls. "Yeah I'm at the academy, i ain't long before my genin exam" She yelled in the boys direction while walking. She stood by the shell were the earth scrolls should be, first she looked through the scrolls at the 3 lowest rack, she wasn't tall enough to reach the others. She found one scroll about earth ninjutsu, she skimmed through, it seemed like it was a little to advanced for her. So she walked back to get the chair. "Well what about you, your a shinobi too?" she asked, as she grabbed the chair, and dragged it down to the shell.

She looked through the two upper racks, where she found 3 scrolls about earth ninjutsu for her level. She also found 1 scroll about fire ninjutsu she was going to look through, since she also had a thing for that. Though it wasn't as easy to use as earth. She put the scrolls at the table, and then dragged the chair back. She sat down and smiled at the boy "Well know i also have something to look through, almost like were study partners" She said with a teasingly tone, and started to look through the first of the earth scrolls.

As he watched her finding the Earth Ninjutsu scroll which she ignored the first one she found, the girl then asked if he's a shinobi after she answered if she was in the Academy. "Actually yes, I've graduated from the Academy when I was 9 years old. I'm just here to learn more Ninjutsu and Genjutsu." As the girl finally found the scroll she was looking for, he returned to her chair and sat down before she smiled at him and remarked that they looked like study partners, causing him to blush out of embarrassment.

As she started looking through one of the Earth Ninjutsu scrolls, Yuu then also read through one of the books, namely about advanced elements first. Although he was starting to focus on the book, he knew he had to introduce himself to the girl by now. "I'm Kashino Yuu. What's yours?"

She had brought a little notebook where she could write some of the most important things from the scrolls down. She had to remember how to do them, if she wanted to train when she got home. "Wow you graduated when you were 9" She asked, as a question where it wasn't to be answered. "I'll be 10 here soon, so I'm gonna graduate while i'm 10, if i pass of course" She said as if there was a chance she didn't pass, but with a confident in her voice that showed that wasn't possible. She was pretty self confident, and to her the chance that she might fail didn't exist. "How old are you know then" she smiled at the boy, and then he seemed to blush.

"Nice to meet you yuu, my names Yumira Ritsuko" she shaked his hand.

"Yeah, pretty crazy, huh? I heard some shinobi graduated after 2-3 years in the Academy. Guess I must be lucky to pass my Genin Exam after one year." However to him, he thought of it as a reward for paying attention in classes he attended. Then again, it might be the fate for him to graduate early. "Well... Right now, I'm 10 years old, so that means I graduated from the academy one year ago."

Then after the girl introduced herself as Yumira Ritsuko, Yuu smiled at her beautiful name despite her dark appearance. "Nice to meet you, too. To be honest, you looked little similar than my younger sister. She's also in the Academy studying to be a Med-Nin." Despite the conversation he was having, his eyes didn't turn their attention away from the book he was reading, yet he felt that he really want to, but can't for some reason.

Ritsuko smiled. 1 year, it was pretty impressive. "Yeah it took my brother 3 years, me though if i pass i have bin in the academy 1,5 year" She laughed silently by the thought. Her brother was a little jealous of her, she got the chance to take the genin exam long before him, guess the teachers just recognized that she had talent.
She was still writing notes of the first scroll, it looked like there was some pretty awesome jutsus you could do with earth. At first she had bin disappointed that she had affinity for earth, but it seemed cool. At first she hoped she would have an affinity for water, but maybe it turned out to be possible when she gets older.

She was lost in her thoughts, she almost forgot that the boy Yuu was sitting next to her, that was until he set that she looked like his little sister. "You have a little sister, cute, how old is she" Ritsuko lifted her head quickly to give him a smile, and then it was back to taking notes again. She really couldn't wait to come home, and try to learn some of these awesome jutsus.

After he explained how long he was in the Academy, Ritsuko explained that her brother took 3 years to graduate while she guessed she might graduate 1 and a half years later. "I see. Well, if you want, I suggest you keep attending classes you want. If you pay attention to them more, you might able to have your Genin Exam very soon." Then after he compared her to his little sister, she then asked how old she was before she gave him a smile and started taking notes from the scrolls. "Right now, she's 8 years old, which she just entered the Academy after her birthday after her brother."

After that, Yuu decided to follow Ritsuko as he pulled out a notebook he used to list off the new jutsu he found so far in this very library. While he had no time to learn closely about the jutsu, he hoped that he can learn by experience with them. But this time, however, he was not only glued to contents in the book, but he didn't even bother to write off what he found in the book. So much that he unknowingly dropped his pencil, which Ritsuko might notice.

"Actually I'm paying attention more than anyone, and not to brag, but i am the first in my class to take my genin exam" so I'm also gonna be the first to graduate she thought to her self, while she grinned. "I also started in the academy after my brother, i had actually had the thought for a while before he started, but it was clear to me after he started" She smiled. There conversation was rather cozy. "So why did you wanna become a shinobi" she wanted to keep the conversation going, and since the topic about the academy and being a shinobi already was up, this seemed like the right question to ask.

She continued taking notes of the second scroll, she considered to skip the third earth scroll and go over to the fire scroll, since taking notes took a lot of time, and she had enough earth jutsu for a while, but she also wanted to learn just a few fire jutsus. She sighed, she hated studying and taking notes. She just wanted to do it in practice, but her uncle had rarely time to train with her anymore, and if she wanted to keep processing, she had to learn how to do it herself.

After he gave her some advice about her Genin Exam, Ritsuko then explained not only that she paid attention more than anyone and that she was the first to take a Genin Exam in her class, but she enrolled in the Academy after her brother after she thought of it for a while. As he continued to read through the book, she then asked why did he become a shinobi. Realizing it was starting to become a recurring question to him, Yuu chuckled for a while before he gave a smile and said, "Well, to protect my friends and family, of course. After a shinobi saved me and my siblings from the criminals a few years ago, he recommended me to enroll in the Academy so I can able to do the same in the near future. And even I'm already a shinobi, I wanted to train and learn more so I can do more than protecting my loved ones from harm."

Just as he can finish with the book on advanced elements, he realized not only he unknowingly dropped his pencil, but he also forgot to take in some notes. But when he tried to grab it on the table, a sudden pain quickly overtook his head once more, causing him to groaned not only from the pain but also an annoyance to its return.

"That's a good reason" Ritsuko chuckled over her silly question. She decided to skip the last earth scroll, and started reading through the fire scroll. She started taking notes.
As Yuu tried to pick up his pencil, he started to get a pain. "Hey, are you okay" Ritsuko asked.

Yuu completely groaned as his headache continued, now completely annoyed that it was back once more. It wasn't until Ritsuko asked if he was okay, which a headache disappeared once more, much to his relief as he rubbed his head. "Y-Yeah, I'm okay. But I'm going to blame Tama-san about this. I don't know why, but I know she got something to do with this."

Although he sounded paranoid when he said, he knew it had something to do after his last meeting with her during his training, which after that was blank in his memories. If Ritsuko might ask about it, he won't hesitate to answer.

Ritsuko finished taking notes from the fire scroll, well maybe she should read the last earth scroll anyway. There was about an hour to Ritsuko had to be home. "Who is this person" She asked yuu, and smiled at him.

The last earth scroll were filled with a little more advanced jutsus, she should practice these a lot before she could use them.

Just as Ritsuko asked who was he talking about, Yuu knew he needs to explain about his sudden headache and the events before all of this. "Mochizuki Tama. I heard she's a star performer and Chuunin of her troupe. But all I know is that she's not only my sensei in one class during my academy days, but she's also my exam proctor during my Genin exam. Long story short, I was training one day and Tama-san greeted me as usual. My memories about it were foggy back in that day, but all I can remember is that something attacked me behind."

Not want another headache to attack him once more, he quickly jolted down on his notebook about some advanced elements he found very interesting during his explanation and then went back to the shelf where he got a scroll about the basics of Water Ninjutsu before he went back near Ritsuko to read it next. "I don't what happened the rest, but after I woke up in the hospital after that, I knew Tama-san has something to do with it."

"Well that sound kinda.." She didn't know what to say. She watched Yuu as he got another scroll. She herself was halfway through her last scroll. She looked at the watch, she had 15 minutes before she had to be home. If she leaved the library now, she could just make it in time. "Well i have to get home" She smiled at Yuu, and grabbed her scrolls to put them back on the shelves.

She pushed the chair under the table. "Well it was nice meeting you, thanks for your company. Hope to see you around" She turned around, and walked for the exit.

When he noticed how Ritsuko was speechless after she wasn't able to finish her sentence, Yuu knew how surprised she was considering he has a few gaps in his unbelievable story. "Yeah, you don't need to finish that sentence. Regardless, if I can able to shed a light on my memory gap, I would able to tell it that you might able to understand and hopefully find out what really happened." Just as he continued reading the scroll, the Academy Student then saw her watch and was surprised as she got up and pushed the chair under the table before she told him that she have to get home.

"You go on ahead. I need to continue reading these scrolls and books and the library isn't going to close until few hours. But make sure you remember what I said about the exams, okay?" He said to Ritsuko, hopefully making her stop walking to the exit so she can hear him. "See ya later, Ritsuko-chan. And good luck." With that said if she left the library, Yuu then continued reading the scroll, only to be interrupted by another headache. "Grrr... When will this headache mania end?!" He thought as he endured it, not wanting to waste his library time over a headache. Regardless, he knew it will be a long stay before closing time.
