Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was chaotic. The village was in a form of unabated madness, to say the least. People were suffering from a sort of virus and some were going wild. Others were likely to fall victim if they were left unattended. So it was Kiri’s job to lead the unaffected civilians to the safe zones prompted out by the medical branch. However, it would prove quite difficult as those infected by the virus were quickly becoming rampant and dangerous, hallucination causing them to attack others or flail violently at the supposed fire that is enveloping them from all over. Still, some would only claim that this unbearable flame was simply coursing throughout their bodies, within and devouring their blood. Whatever it was, it was clearly dangerous and must be treated.

Going about the streets, Kiri would divert the direction of which the unaffected civilians were going off to. The evacuation alarm had been sounded off and they were given prior warning that a possibility of a large-scale quarantine would be imminent. As such, some of the civilians had already prepared emergency bags where enough clothing and rations were stored and could easily be carried around should they need to leave their residences. It helped since it didn’t make the transition any harder. Still, there were those who at first refused to leave their houses, claiming they would be okay. Kiri had to deal with them a little more strictly. And for the elderly, he had to help them walk away.

But just as things were going smoothly in the beginning, not to far from where he was at, he heard a sudden commotion. Quickly directing the people to continue down the path to where the safe zone was, Kiri would move against the tide of people, heading towards where the ruckus was happening. He had heard from reports beforehand that riots could erupt but he wasn’t so sure if he could help stop them. He was still doubting his ability, after all, and he was worried that he might end up making things worse. His heart beat a tad louder.

“Don’t worry. You got this. You won’t go out of control,” said the beast inside him and that was enough of a morale booster coming from his brother. Nodding, Kiri would rush to the scene.

There, he would find that some of the infected civilians were running amok. The paleness of their skin, the tragic screams and the paranoia they were living out as they shook every person in sight or begged or simply shouted in anger was enough to horrify the onlookers. He needed to do something to get them isolated from the rest of the unaffected villagers.

“Everyone, please keep calm and continue down the road towards the safe zone as instructed,” said Kiri as he got closer, “Leave this to me. Just move on. Keep your face masks on. No pushing. Things will be alright.”

Preparing himself, mentally and physically, Kiri would quickly grab the rampaging infected individual and pinning him on the ground. He would then grab something from his pouch, a few of his brought bandages from his med kit, and tied the man’s hands behind him. He would then quickly went for the next, avoiding their crazed flailings and incapacitating and tying them up. He would have used a jutsu or two, but he was scared that he would end up hurting them more. After all, they were also victims in this outbreak. So it was best to just tie them and restrict them from further movements. After which, he would lead them to a nearby empty house and lock them inside for the time being. He’ll have to report this later to Junko or some other medical branch officials.

But that was far from the end of his worries. As he glanced back on the people who were heading for the safe zone, he noticed that one particular individual was seemingly stumbling. A little worried, he went over to help the said person, only to be shocked as the man was pale, yet his body felt hot, burning even.

“P-please, help me. I’m alright,” said the man, clearly frightened and distressed.

“I’m sorry, but you’re sick,” answered Kiri as he helped the man up and began to pull him away from the crowd.

“No! No! Let go of me! I’m alright. I’m alright!”

This was definitely making a scene, but thankfully some staff from the hospital were nearby. Kiri would call out for them to come. He kept the man with a good hold, hoping he wouldn’t lash out too much or expend much of his energy. And by the time the hospital staff arrived, he helped them analyse and screen the man for any symptoms. In the end, the man was revealed to have been infected, if only recently. It was a good thing he noticed or else he would have gone along with the others to the safe zone.

“Don’t worry, sir. You’ll be fine. The medical branch is making sure to cure each and everyone. Please believe in us,” said Kiri as he calmed the man down before he let the hospital staff take him away.

As Kiri watched them leave, he would quickly return to guiding the rest of the civilians to the safe zone. Knowing that some may have similar cases of recent infection, he was careful to keep a good eye on a lookout for anything. And by the end of the day, he must have found at least a dozen who were beginning to show such symptoms. He’ll have to report this to Junko before the day ends.
