Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Moving through the streets things weren’t adding up to an easy mission in someways. Granted they hadn’t meet any opposition but the sounds of battle and skirmishes broke out around them in places and danced around their field of hearing. Moving through back streets curbed the chance of an encounter but something didn’t seem right. His new charge he was escorted had fallen silent and stopped complaining. He was either scared or…

”Oi.” Kamaru said as he stopped moving and got a slow response of the guy coming up behind him. Kamaru felt his fist contact with something soft before a spray of blood came out the guy’s nose.

”W-w-what the hell you do that for? Aw man… now I’m bleeding!” he complained.

Not someone transformed to look like him Kamaru thought to himself.

”You been pretty quite. Just checking on you.” Kamaru commented.

”That doesn’t even make sense! And you really want me being all chatting with all those shrieks and people yelling for help?” the man added.

”Excuse me the what?” Kamaru asked after shaking his head and cocking an ear closer since he didn’t think he understood that last part.

”All the wails of people saying ‘I’m dying!’ or ‘Save me!’ and such? You can’t hear that or are you that focused.” the man asked a little confused.

Kamaru listened… silence.

Could it be a Genjutsu? No to get it out to large areas like this without sight of the target is impossible. Kamaru checked the man’s face startling him further. Nope didn’t seem like a poison making him hallucinate…

”I don’t hear the voices, and it doesn’t look like you’re under the effects of a poison or a genjutsu. For the most part I don’t know what’s affecting you so lets go. I can’t have you dying out here if that’s what it does.” Kamaru stated trying to hurry the man along.

Kamaru wondered if the sounds around him were real after thinking things over as the journey continued. Was he suffering from the same condition maybe? He wanted to check things out when he hear sounds of conflict. He steeled his mind not to waver and focus on it’s current mission getting the man where he needed to go. Flashes of the sights and conflicts in Leaf City came back with the random smell of fire or blood in the air, the tinging aroma of burning metal, the sounds of battle.

He couldn’t tell if it was real though and that was the problem. For not he just pressed on until he heard a broadcast coming through his headset as he neared his destination. As he closed in on the Onyxian Sanctum messages of an unseen assailant bombarding the entryway closest to Kamaru with ‘dark energy’ had him slowing.

He couldn’t drop off his charge without fear of being attacked, plus the aggressor was attacking from a hidden position. Kamaru didn’t blame him but it did hinder him completing the current job. As Kamaru eyed a dumpster he figured someone wasn’t going to like the options he went with.

”I have good news and bad news, the good news is it looks like someone is attacking the building I need to get you in and his location is unknown.” Kamaru began.

”How is that good news?” the man countered.

”I means I know not to blinding walk up and get you killed, no for the bad news,” Kamaru explained opening the lid for the dumpster and looked towards the man, ”Hop in.” Kamaru explained to a shocked man.

Before he could protest he found himself being shoved in head first. ”I’ll be back to pick you up once it’s clear.” Kamaru explained looking around he moved up the side of a building to the rooftops. He may not know where the entrance attacker was but if he had a better idea of where the attacks were coming from he’d have a better idea of where to go.

It was laughable to the young man, these people bent on calling themselves the protectors of the people. They wouldn’t rush out headlong to meet his ambushing attacks and be cut down. It made sense though, rushing out blinding only furthered his goal of killing people but it had ended in a stalemate. When he felt the presence behind him he hoped it would be from someone more interesting.
”Afternoon, I need to drop something off inside the building sooo if you could stop attacking it. I’d appreciate it.” Kamaru chimed out.

The young man realized he had been careless in a way although it would have been hard for someone inside the building to spot him eventually someone outside could pinpoint his location easily. This person though seemed a bit stupid though since he hadn’t taken that advantage to just kill him outright. He smirked at the man turning fading into the shadows that seemed non existent in the area.

”No…” was the reply he gave Kamaru as he tried to figure out how to kill the man.

Kamaru muttered with a sigh about needing a cup of coffee, to the younger man he seemed weak and lazy. As he dove at him thinking himself unsense he hesitated seeing Kamaru before hand seals, it was impossible to see him and match his speed he thought, why did his mind lock up. The blinding flash of light suddenly blinding him let him know exactly what he was trying to figure out. A dirty trick of a weak man it seemed. When his vision returned he looked around, he was shocked. Was the man running away? Who runs away from a fight they pick? His lips turned into a snare as he looked at his new prey. Only the weak he figured as he dove after the man sprinting down the middle of the street.
*Flashback*
Kamaru noticed when approaching the man he seemed to notice him far sooner than Kamaru expected him to. Having him under several Genjutsu didn’t seem to bother him either making Kamaru think he was resistant to most of the ones he had been put under. Calling into the same frequency as the warning Kamaru stated who he was and that he had spotted the attacker, request for backup was asked for but the explanation they were taking priority over their own missions was to be expected in a way. Mentioning the members of the team going to the hospital he had assisted and that he was completing their mission while they got medical aid got a long pause of chatter on the line. The promise of support followed before everyone went radio silent.
*End Flashback*

It was foolish to run away, actually it was idiotic to make himself known in the first place so why was he stopping now. What was he looking at? The young man followed Kamaru’s gaze and became infuriated. A coffee shop? At a time like this he was actually thinking it’d be a good idea to get coffee? He took it back the man wasn’t an idiot, he was mentally deficient. As he was about to pounce on the man his face slammed into something out of no where, he couldn’t see it but it felt like he had just ran headlong into a wall.

Kamaru suddenly noticed him waved at him while still in thought it seemed, ”You think it’s too late in the day to get a breakfast blend of coffee?” he asked randomly. This was his big indecision? As the young man boiled over with rage forget what had just happened he dove at Kamaru, his limbs jerked after the first few centimeters of movement, he was shackled to something invisible to his eyes. The fluttering of masked individuals around him he hadn’t noticed before came into few. He had been bound. But how?

”You have an uncanny sense of awareness around you if you’re paying attention. Anger and rage cloud the senses and the mind though. Getting you in the open is the easiest way to attack you… also my question on coffee what do you think?” Kamaru stated casting a sideway glance at the young man. As he snarled and pulled at his binding Kamaru shrugged and moved towards the doorway. ”If you guys can go pick up my charge and take him into custody that’d be great. Imma get myself a cup of coffee.” Kamaru declared as he walked forward. Feeling a hand on his shoulder someone stared at him from behind a mask.

”There’s something else we’d like you do take care of…” the person stated plainly.
