Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Muji breathed deep, watching as the final blast impacted against the lithe form of Koho. Lightning was for execution...earth was for burying...neither fit the purpose. He was no executioner, nor would he bury her and hide her away. Only the cleansing flames could erase the sin and sorrow. Anything else would be improper.

Though he emerged the victor, it came at a cost. He was torn up, both physically and mentally. His robes were shreds, and deep cuts littered his lean frame. The sage moved to use a medical jutsu to heal them, but decided against it. He deserved the wounds, and any scars that may end up remaining.

Where Koho fell, Muji moved to kneel beside her and stroked her red hair. She was on the verge of dying, yet still so beautiful. He wanted to curse all the gods in the world, the elements, even himself. Especially himself.

There was only one way to truly end this, and he had the means. The Statue...the dark art of his kind. It would bring her soul from her body and grant her true peace. Without a soul, there would be no vile resurrection, no torment after death...only the bliss of what would likely be the first moment of peace his Red Princess had ever known.

Placing one last kiss on the weakened lips of Koho, Muji then gave himself some distance and reached down to the earth, using his immense chakra to drag the Statue back into existence. Koho had broken his grasp before, but through his determination, he would force it back into the mortal world once more to attend to the purpose at hand.

The demon rose, giving an ethereal moan and pulsating with dark energy. Under Muji's direction, it began to pull the woman's soul out from it's earthly shell. He would not speak. There were no final words he could give her that would do his feelings justice. His eyes, those pools of moonlight, would say it all in their emptiness. All that mattered was that she would know peace...

[Koho gets a farewell post before she's considered a goner! And thanks, Kouin, for modding the fight!]

A Hellish construct of flames and heat surrounded the woman, towering upwards as the blast engulfed her and many surrounding buildings. She couldn't stop this, all was lost, and for what? A winch appeared upon her face as memories casted back to when she last spoke with Saemon and Muji as a group, a trio, oh how those days were much different in comparison. Her companion, the man who assisted with easing her troubled life, moved over, stroked her hair and knelt beside her limp body. Koho could not really speak, her mind was fragmented by the horrid fleeing of her life becoming something so precious - a moment of realization that this was it, and you know what? It was perfect. The end had come for a woman who was indoctrinated to do nothing but harm and dismay others. She had shown great stride when striking down the innocent, but that wasn't who the real Koho was; no. She was a gentle creature, a misunderstood being that just wanted to be loved.

She felt Muji's strong hand brush through her crispy red hair. A smile cropped onto her face; its body frail as her own frame. They didn't need to converse for each other to know how they felt, and what was about to happen next. "You... take care of yourself, Muji..." She would raise her crispy hand, its leather-like quality would be pressed against the man's face, the occasional flaking would take effect. "I only wish that I could have known normality... Do you think God is forgiving?" A tear would stroll down her face, and just then, it would become apparent to Muji that this was meant - this fight. Koho was never going to leave this village, where would she go? Saemon had betrayed her, and her body couldn't stop itself from wanting to destroy him, so in order to protect him for herself - she would have to destroy her own flesh. This way, peace would be ensured and Saemon would become mortally wounded for eternity; he failed his Red Queen.

The demon rose, it's terrifying form soothed her body, as it began to pull the spirit from the shell. "Muji, I have a note for Saemon... Give it to him please, it's back at my accommodation." And that was it. After those words were spoken she was dead, how anti-climatic. Her hand would fall from his face and tap against the ground. Her soul on the other hand, the human spirit, had a much more exiting journey.

From that moment, the spirit escaped with an utter sense of happiness, unbound to the world by shackles of indignity and inhumanity. But alas, its journey had but begun. The spirit world was an unimaginable thing and upon arrival to the plane of the dead, Koho was but whisked off, sent back into the world. A small realm, a farming region on the other side of the planet, in a decently sized farming home there lay a woman in a bed. She grasped tightly onto the sheets, screaming for her midwife with a reddened face. She gasped and moaned, forced to push, until a baby spilled out from her delicate. Her husband, a very honorable and gentle man, rushed in from outside of their master bedroom after hearing the innocent cries of a baby. His eyes overfilled with salt as all was well, his wife cradling a baby, and his sister - the midwife - crying with joy at their new addition. The man, a hard-working farmer, approached the bed with a humble step, falling to his knees and kissing his wife's hand.

She would smile, rubbing her thumb against the baby's small face, "It's a girl." She would add happily, shaking her head in disbelief. "Let's call her... Shii, after your grandmother." The husband would add, kissing their baby upon the head with an undying smile. The baby, a delightful chunk of joy and blood, would gurgle happily on its own spit as a lock of red dangled from it's head. The spirit, the innocent part of Koho, was reborn again into a new form with a new name. She would be in no harm, she would be gifted with the love of a family and the safety of her father's protection.

A life that she always wanted. A life that she was never given.

But now... Truly, she was safe.

A single tear streamed from amethyst eyes down the Rikudo Sennin's cheek. She was gone. The time they spent together instantly became nothing but a memory. She went from present to past in one swift battle. Was it mercy? Perhaps. Was it a desire to protect Saemon and the others? Perhaps. Suddenly, all the reasons that Muji had settled upon to make his decision felt so distant and unrealistic. It was the right thing to do, but it didn't remove the fact that he killed her. For all his stoicism and detached personality, he realized only now that she was the only woman he had ever loved.

"Any god who could not forgive you...is a god I will tear from the heavens," the sage muttered, his solitary tear now mingling with the blood on his cheek.

But Saemon...how would he tell the woman's fiancee? Sae had admitted that his love for her was lost, but there was no doubt that he would be torn apart by the news that Muji had killed her. His best friend, his brother-in-arms, murdered the woman he had loved for so long. No...he could never know of this. Muji would find the letter, deliver it, and be done with it. She was gone, that was all that mattered.

In a furious start, the sage forced earth around, covering the burn marks and damage to the nearby buildings, then summoned water to wash it all away. Only then, dripping wet, would he lift the Red Princess from the ground. Broken, Muji held her tight as he let himself merge with the shadows. He would take her far away, into some dark place. It wouldn't be a proper burial, but it would be final. As he had decided before, only flame could cleanse her. The sage cremated Koho's body, gathering the ashes and casting them into the night air outside the village. The swift winds of Sunagakure took them and carried them high.

She was free...

[Koho is dead and released from this mortal coil. Topic Left, with great sorrow.]
