Rain fell down, and around the mountaintop city of Kumogakure no Sato on a chilly weekend afternoon. A rare situation indeed due to the chilling climate of the village, but it still happened once every long while. The rain was typically brought about when it was slightly warmer than the usual freezing winds, giving the air a crisp and refreshing tone. Some, however, couldn't exactly enjoy the refreshing rain while it melted last week's snow. They were stuck in a teahouse. And they were named Ryuichi.
The boy, at this point, was used to being limited in his ninja work. He had been involved in the death of a fellow ninja, as well as unauthorized conversion of that ninja's body into a path so he was stuck doing basic AiT tasks, and training for the time being. Of course, this meant he had to work more in the teahouse to earn his stay. As of right now, that's exactly what he was doing.
There were three people enjoying the atmosphere of the shop. An old lady who regularly came on weekends, and couple who seemed to be within their thirties, and were most likely married when taking into account how familiarly they spoke to one another, even about more embarrassing topics. Then, the two people working were Ryuichi in his pink apron along with a small blue otter, wearing a baggy tea shirt and multiple hair nets. The boy saw that no one else was needing anything for the moment, with everyone having their refill recently so he decided to duck out of the shop to head upstairs for a short moment.
He was quick to grab a canned tea from the fridge of the upstairs apartment, and to head to the bathroom to look into the mirror. That looked back at him was something that always gave him the chills...his own eyes. A rippled pattern that both inspired him, and yet never let him forget why he had them within his skull. His staring didn't last long, as he knew he didn't have much time before he would be needed again. With a shrug, and placing the can on the sink he went to do his business.
After finishing, and cleaning up he returned downstairs, just as the bell above the door rang....
