It was early and Saya was already out of the house. Nazomeku was off this day, which was a very rare occurrence. He was normally tagging along with Saya helping her to fulfill all requests of the Senju Overlord or other high-ranking Senju in the main branch. Mostly dirty work jobs that they didn’t want to lower themselves to. All this work had given Nazomeku a sense of humility, although at the same time, a much more heightened restlessness and angst for gaining power so that he wouldn’t have to continue living like this. Even though he was only twelve years of age, his short time working with Saya on these household chores, and community errands was exhausting. He wanted to do more shinobi-stuff and become an asset to the clan, not only recognized as a powerful Senju, but to the village as a whole.
Yawning as he walked past Saya’s room, the door was cracked open, which wholeheartedly caught his attention and intrigue. [Usually, she keeps her door shut all the way,] he thought to himself as he scratched his chest, looking over his shoulder on both sides just to see if this wasn’t another one of her tricks to catch him red-handed in the act of betraying her loyalty and trust.
[Maybe if I just take a peek…] he thought to himself, using his big toe of his foot closest to the door to open it up. He would tip-toe inside and find a book laying open on her bed. He crept over to it and found that it was opened and inside the book, the fox summon page was bookmarked. He turned the book around to be able to read its contents further rather than creeping further into the room and being caught on the opposite side of her bed. “Yuna, the fox overlord…”
Nazo would quickly read the appearance and lore about the Fox Overlord, Yuna, and then return to his room. Thankfully he wasn’t caught by Saya and the quick peek into her room was more fulfilling than dangerous.
