Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

9:45PM. That's the time the clock was blinking at her. Megami sighed, tossing the papers on her desk to the side. She had less than a few hours before this girl was going to die, another one. A serial killer had made himself known in Iwa recently, as several young girls had gone missing only to be found three days later. At first the killings seemed random, until more correlation was established. The girls, all young brunettes, seemed to show the signs of being strangled, beaten badly, and their wrists cut through to the bone. The bodies were all placed the same, and arranged accordingly, hung by a noose, faces drenched in blood. He placed them in a dress, newly purchased, and put some makeup on them, despite the damage their bodies reflected. Their arms were spread, palms up, as if welcoming death's embrace. And finally, somewhere on the victim would be a daisy. It was horrifying to see such a thing happening, especially to young girls around the age of eight. This killer had been given the name 'The Porcelain Killer' for the way he dressed his victims to look like deceased life size porcelain dolls. The Guardians and ANBU had been trying for months, trying to track this guy down or find his hideout, but he was always clean with his actions and almost never left a trace of his whereabouts. Megami was beginning to believe this guy was never going to be found, that more people were going to end up in peril because they couldn't find this guy before he struck again. However, the most recent case, a girl by the name of Jin Nagisa, taken 2 days ago, left behind some rather revealing evidence. There was sawdust left scattered on the floor of the victim's room. Not a lot of places in Stone are part of the woodworking business, as much of these structures were constructed out of the cliff face or with stronger metals, due to the waters edge being so close to the civilization. There was an old abandoned warehouse where wooden carts were repaired and stored, but the owner recently passed. This could be a potential place of interest to look into.

She was going to find this girl. Tonight. She was not about to let more people fall to the hands of this creep. Megami grabbed her sword, hooking it into it's holder on her back. She made her way outward, to the darker parts of Maruishi. The warehouse was in a partially unlit area, where the streets were mostly cobblestone and the buildings a bit more weathered than most. It was an older part of the city for sure, but it wasn't considered necessarily filthy. She carried a piece of paper, with the address of the building scrawled on it in her handwriting. Her boots clicked down the street as many had turned in for the night, and the appearance of a Guardian or ANBU tended to scare off a lot of the delinquents running around. "This is it." She stopped in front of the building. It wasn't very big, and was still in good condition, but it hadn't been used in some time, so dust had set in. The door was a large metal one that slide open, but there was also a door to the side. Megami walked up to it first, the windows dusty. There weren't any lights on inside that she could see. She's managed to commandeer a key from the directory office in the Spire. Placing the key in the door, she noticed it didn't fit. "Someone changed the lock. It's new." This was strange for an old building. A sign that perhaps she was on the right trail. She couldn't sit around waiting, this girl's life was at stake. So, she was going in. She lifted her foot and kicked the door in, creating a loud crashing as it was sent off it's hinges. She looked at it, before removing the sword from her back. "I'll pay for the damages later." And with that she headed into the dark building. Unaware of what to expect.

Well there was no knocking today in the woodwork warehouse, but an exploding foot sending a metallic door from its hinges. It was amazing to say the least but the noises coming from the upper levels seemed to stop as soon as the silence crept in. Megami would hear sliding or dragging cloth rummaging somewhere in the building. And maybe this would be the break she needed. The guy was definitely on his last leg if he had known who was on his trail. Essentially, with the whisking unsettling silence she would then begin to hear muffled screams... crying even. Almost as if there was a child whining in the distance before a slapping sound would break the silence.
"Be quiet. I'm almost done with the make-up hold still."
The voice was so distant it seemed to be on the far end of the building but it wasnt very easy to tell. So there were three ways the voices were heard, which meant there were three ways to get to the voice. One was a long corridor with a light at the end and a single branching left turn leading into another Dark area. Another to Megami's right, a dark hall with no lights and very little visibility, and lastly the ventilation shaft which in the weathered building could lead potentially to any point in the building as a whole. The choice was her's whether she'd find find the girl in time before the man inevitably took the young girl's life.

Entering the building, she stopped, taking in the darkness. Channeling her life essence into her sword, it started to glow golden yellow light, giving her some illumination. It still looked like an abandoned building, nothing too out of place to raise suspicion. She walked around, inspecting the room, and looking for passages that would lead to side rooms or different areas of interest. As she heard distant noises, she stopped to listen. Even if this creep was aware of his presence she was going to take him down. He wasn't getting away. A loud slap echoed through the building followed by a male voice with words she couldn't quite make out from this distance, alongside a noise of crying or someone quite upset. Either way, it was sign enough that someone was here and there weren't pleasantries going on. Megami had enough mind to realize that if the killer was here, he probably was already being violent towards this girl. "Bastard." Megami's brow was set in anger. Children can't defend themselves, not to the extent that an adult could. She needed to get to where the sound was the loudest.

She stepped forward, inspecting her options. There was a light in one corridor, one she couldn't make out, and the air vent. She could probably take the air vent, but this was a woodworking building. The amount of particles that could be inhaled from being in there alone could be hazardous and in the event she needed to move quickly, she wouldn't be able to. No, limited mobility and lung damage weren't going to be the way to go. She looked towards the light. A distraction? Something to catch her eyes in the event he was discovered? No, not that way either. The darkness, something that the most adept of predators flock to. She turned left, instantly throwing herself into the darkened corridor. Of course, with an illuminated sword, is anything really dark?

"Hold Still!"
And a loud smacking sound would be heard, was he beating her? The sounds were getting louder. She was obviously on the right track but with the muffled screams getting higher and higher almost as if he was inflicting harm upon her personal being. She was going to feel this and he was going to give her final moments a harsh awakening. Why did he, the 'Porcelain Killer', do what he did? Was he attempting to recreate something he had seen in a movie? No, this was far more personal. It was something psychological. Something that he was too far gone from being able to recover from. He had become something, a monster, and this monster was set on the demise of these specifically natured and looking children. The sounds of his sliding feet could be heard in the far off distance but Megami's movements would catch a slight ear from him.
"Shhhh."
Then rummaging would sound off, the sounds of metal against metal. And multiple drawers opening. What was going on? She was still too far from where she would need to be to act immediately. Though there was definitely some way she would be able to make it in time to save this child's life. As Megami would continue down the hall, she would see multiple rooms, with an arrow leading to a the grinding room, but that was not the room he was in. Further, it had to be further. As he moved around the room his movements would silently echo throughout. What was this going to become, and if Megami failed... how would this settle in her heart from now on? The Psychological turmoil would be astounding to the woman who led the Guardians and ANBU. The Protector of the old ways which were utmostly to put the people of this village above anything.

As she would continue to move on she'd be met with two long corridors. Both leading to the same destination, but the one to her immediate left had multiple rooms and more corridors branching from it. In front of her it would lead straight to a door with dim light shimmering through a partially opened door. There were multiple approaches but what was most unsettling was that the room she was approaching, it was a 'Wood Burning Room'. . .

Oh dear. . . what was going to happen next?

The echoes of her steps on the cold floor of the abandoned, dark building would be unsettling to most, but this was part of the job. Still, some part of her, that she refused to feel was unsettled. She had to be strong for this kid. She came upon another fork, seems this building architect wanted the workers to really have some options in terms of their work place scenery. How thoughtful. The screams were becoming louder, as well as the hitting and the sound of metal scrapping. She hoped that she could get there before the worst part. But her blood was boiling. The well lit room? No, that kind of light meant it was too open. This guys profiling suggested he would want time to finish his so called 'work'. The more places to look, the more time he could pawn off on his 'art'. The thought made her stomach churn a little bit. She headed towards the hallway with the multiple rooms and hallways. She clutched her sword in her hand. "I don't have time for this. Huyah!" She channeled energy into the blade and slammed it into the wall of the building, creating an outpouring effect of destabilization on the reality around the rooms. If he was anywhere within 20 feet, above, below, side, to side, or even just close to her, she would know. It wouldn't be enough to kill, or severely injure, but it would cause him to scream or grunt in some manner, which would allow her to not only hear where he was, but give her time to sprint off in that direction. Not to mention, she hoped it would keep him stunned long enough not to harm the girl. She didn't expect him to see an invisible force coming.

Smart Move. The Porcelain killer utilized the Echo in this warehouse to delay any would be intruders from interrupting his 'art' and he'd be damned if he'd leave a masterpiece half finished. So, even with the destructive wave of chakra that shot through the area, and even given his loud grunt and moan Megami would hear a gasp for air from the man, as if he coughed up blood. Injured more internally than externally from the angered Guardian Leader. The girl happened to be alittle out of the range of the attack but she was still hurt with the resounding rumble that it gave the structure. Knocking the girl from her place on a table to the floor below with a thud. However, it was enough to snap the rubber from the gag constricting her mouth off.

Oh and then the screaming would commence. Even whilst the man's disorientation from the attack, the girl would give her lungs out for her life. Essentially screaming with everything she had. "HELP! AHHHHH!!! HEEEEELLLP", only to be followed with a grunt from the man, but Megami seemed to be speeding her steps as she would head towards him. As she would enter, she'd see the man hoisting the half dressed girl up from her neck with a pair of scissors up to her neck. "I will finish my Masterpiece!", he'd yell outwardly before beginning to edge backwards. There didnt seem to be anything there but he had something planned.

The second she heard noise she took off sprinting. The screaming of the girl could finally be heard so she kept following the sounds like a beacon. She had to get there. She had to. Coming upon a door, she threw her weight into one side and smashed it open. She felt some pain throbbing in her shoulder but she shrugged it off, and lifted her sword, ready to strike. "You know why I'm here, so you know what I want." As she surveyed the room, she saw the girl, held in the man's grasp. He was rather displeased with this interruption. Well too damn bad. "Masterpiece, huh? Let's not do anything stupid then. I'd hate to interrupt." Megami calmly stood, hooking her sword back into it's position. She raised her hands, placing them behind her head. But suddenly a cocky smirk formed on her face. "Nice scissors." In the blink of an eye she had switched into her fighting stance, drew her sword with lightning reflexes and slammed it into the ground. Another strange technique? Hopefully the man would start to feel himself slowing down, as if in slow motion. Though as he was slowing down, she would do the opposite. She would take the opportunity to try to subdue the man by taking his scissors from him and getting the girl to a safe position behind her. This man was highly dangerous, and she would know better than to assume this was finished if she managed to get those two things just because she would manage to find a quick opening. But she needed to get the girl to a position she could protect her in first. If this guy wasn't smart and had some sort of backup plan, they would have found him months ago. So what game were they playing?

Well, he expected her to make a move. And she did. However, as she slammed her sword into the ground it seemed like nothing changed, he opened his mouth to talk and it was like everything took a century, though her movements were exponentially better than his, in moments the girl was out of his hands, even his scissors. 'The fuck is this woman?', he thought to himself as if he were to have tried to speak it'd come out five minutes later. His body seemed to stagger backwards a bit, but there was something that he could do in the meantime. The other four arms beginning to explode from his sides and then he would be ready. He was of the Hachiashi clan, and this was becoming annoying for him. His plans ruined and this woman in his way.

What to do what to do? Forming a small golden spew of mucus from his mouth he'd spit it in the direction of Megami almost like rapid fire but in slow motion. There was little he could do but there was something he would not be denied. He would make it through her assault as it came. He had a thin layer of mucus covering his body that had hardened in case of an attack on him that he could not stop but this woman had power far surpassing his own. What could he honestly do for a time being slowed down... how could a person outside of her prepare for it?

Well, this was certainly new information. No wonder he wasn't leaving a trace of evidence. He could use webbing to kidnap these kids! Megami never was a huge fan of spiders. They didn't scare her, but that didn't mean she found their existence to be tolerable. The girl was safe though, but she wasn't sure how unharmed she was. More concerning was this guy seemed to be in a handy dandy situation. Megami sheathed her sword. "This is more of a one sided fight." She made a seal, and suddenly the mucus spat at her would just fly right back at him, aiming for his face. "Let's end this." Two more hand seals, and suddenly the man would probably not only be under the sluggish feeling of reality, but also hanging upside down, suspended in the air. Now, this of course would only occur if he couldn't counter in some way or form, but that didn't mean she couldn't try. She would look at the man, thinking what to do next. Cracking her knuckles, she had an idea. "Tch, you've got something on your face." Before he had time to respond, Megami would draw her fist back, and go to slam it into the man's jaw. Of course, this would probably get some mucus on her in the process, to which she'd have to suffer the effects of. But she'd been wanting to do that, so in this case, she figured she'd take the risk. Did this guy have more to bring, or was he down for the count? She didn't know what other surprises he had. He may have a lot of hands, but she had a lot more up her sleeve if that were the case. Funny, because she only had the two sleeves.

Now he was suspended in the air, having his mucus shot back at him. Hitting him and cutting through his armor. Then a swift punch to the jaw... Yes, everything she'd planned on doing worked. And with that he'd be sent through the walls of the warehouse back into the main room before tumbling to a halt. What would come next would not come to Megami until she would secure the girl... but she'd not be given that time though. Because if she noticed, once she hit his jaw the tendrils and threads would loosen and his jaw would seemingly hang on the hinge of black threads. He was the perfect artist. His body was art, and everything with it would come from artistry. So, one thing that the Guardians did not notice, was that he after every kill he took the essence of the child leaving them literally a husk of themselves. Each of their essences made a 'heart' and from that heart he was able to further himself and his creation of the 'Porcelain Dolls' he created. The flesh from their wrists made up the flesh that he needed to place the essence. Or thats how this author explained it in his mind.

"Ugh! I swear, you fucking Guardians dont know when to quit!", shaking his head and stepping back into the clearing Megami would see that his face had been ripped backwards and away from itself the skin peeled back to show his true self. Ugly, disgusting, and vile, he had lost 4 of his six hearts from one blow. This woman was rather strong, but he had much more to give now. "Witness, the true nightmare!", And with that he'd release all six of his hands in a flurry of attacks to her shot after shot attempting to strike the Guardian woman. "I'll make you into my final Masterpiece!" cackling loudly he'd begin to rush towards her as he sent the hands out to attack her, but two hands would begin to drift over to the young girl again. On top of his spitting of more mucus at Megami. He was intent on finishing what he had started, and this would be a two for one night!

The strength was real. She didn't mean to blow him through the building. Well, that was a bit of an overstatement. She took a second to help Nagisa up, freeing her hands and legs. The young girl seemed panicked. "I'm the Guardian of Lightning, I'm going to help you. You're going to be ok." Nagisa seemed to be in too much shock and fear to do anything. Suddenly Megami looked over and even fear crossed her face. What the hell was that? His skin was peeling away from his face, split in two. Black tendrils spinning out from him. Nagisa screamed, causing Megami to look at her to make sure she was still ok. As she did though, she felt the impact of several arms throwing her against the wall. Her back hit and a loud cracking sound was heard as the wall crumbled behind her. The wind thoroughly knocked out of her, she was pounced on again by this guy. Where the hell was this strength earlier. But she couldn't let him get Nagisa. Megami started to crawl away, but he grabbed her legs. But she reached out towards Nagisa. "Nagisa. I'll keep you safe. Take my hand." Nagisa reached out and Megami made a fast hand seal. A bright light glowed around her, suddenly fusing the two females together. As the light faded, Megami's hair had turned brown, and her clothing a black version of her civilian clothes. Most likely to compensate for Nagisa's appearance being part of her new look. Megami was still in full control though. If he wanted Nagisa, he'd have to kill her first. "I'm not anyone's play thing." Suddenly Megami started to speed up her own body, and phased out of his grip, appearing next to him. Suddenly she drew her sword again, hopefully while he was in his confusion, and would aim to bring it down upon him while his back was turned.

Like a flash of light he would see her move, edging towards him. Still in slow motion his movements seemed to finally be speeding up but, it was too late. The man reached for the girl nearly dragging both Megami and the child away from one another but a last ditch effort would combine them together, that would be something noticing for later but even with his power now unleashed she was still faster than he. "I will preva-..."</B><i></i> "I'm not anyone's play thing.", how in the hell did she get behind him? What in the hell was it? And what was she? Some kind of Demi-Goddess? He'd make a beautiful masterpiece from her. He would make sure to use every inch of that perfect skin tone, and toned frame to make the doll every little girl wanted to be and every little boy wanted to be with. He would... He would... He... wouldnt...

Everything grew silent.

The only thing heard was the slicing through flesh, the ripping of his tendrils and the falling of splattered darkened blood on Megami and then the floor. Now he really was coughing up blood... suspended in air for the moment he would try to turn his head to her, <B>"You.... bit.."<i></i>, and before he got it out he'd fall forward in the middle of the hall, first to his knees then to his face. Was he dead? Maybe. It was all up to if she managed to heal him or not. Though there wasnt much else he could do with his body incapacitated like it was. He couldnt feel his body. Nor were his blackened tendrils moving. "The...perfect....doll...the...per...fe...ct...", passing out he would fall into his slumber before his essence would shortly leave.

It was done. She had caught the man... saved the girl... and avenged the others who had died by his creeper hands.

As the man fell, Megami lowered her weapon, it stilling at her side. A moment later a soft glow would emanate from her as suddenly Nagisa returned to her own form. Megami caught her in her arms as she almost fell to the ground, the girl having passed out most likely from shock and other factors. She carefully lowed Nagisa to the floor and out of the way while she dealt with the man. She approached him, lying on the ground, mumbling profanities and delusions. This creep was going away for a long time. She kneeled down, placing a finger on his neck to check his pulse. It was there. She also simultaneously checked his status, logging away that he had internal bleeding, as expected. "You don't get to go that easily." She used a small healing spell on him, enough to keep him alive, before placing chakra cuffs on each set of arms. Someone else, a medic probably, could see to him once he was put in an area where his energy was suppressed and he was safe to approach. She stood, and clicked into her headset. "This is the Guardian of Lightning. I need two assistants to come to the old abandoned woodworking warehouse. I have detained and incapacitated the 'The Porcelain Killer'. I'll be seeing to the girl." Megami rolled the killer onto his back, so that if there was any funny business she could see it coming. She then moved over to Nagisa and saw the girl had opened her eyes. Her face was red and puffy from tears, and her body was covered in bruises. She was probably scared and in pain. Megami did the same spell on her, healing her bruises to the best of her ability. "I'll get you home. He can't hurt you." The girl clung to Megami, nodding profusely. Picking her up with little effort, Megami waited for the other two to arrive. As an ANBU and a Guardian entered she nodded to the man. "Lock him in high security. Several levels down." The two nodded and Megami headed back to Arcadia, carrying the girl. Once she had finished the paperwork, she could go home as well. She felt better knowing that the young girls of Earth Country were safe from this madman.
