Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A foul stench of rot and decay was beginning to fill the hallways of the highest floor, Lab Room 458, corpses scattered across the tables, one of the ventilation shafts had broken and rendered the room thick with a dark green fog, you would only be able to see a few meters ahead of yourself through it, the room was exceptionally large and was usually meant for major group projects, this week was an exception though, as it had been booked by the Harvester Division for a set of different experimentation.

Granted rotten and old bodies wasn't usually the most common tool but the field of study required it. If anyone other than the division members would see it the division would be frowned upon, more so than before, it was rare they ever let bodies decompose as much as these prime examples, 8 different sized and aged bodies were scattered around on their own operation tables, the room was set so 2 doors lead into the hallway each on their own opposite side, there were no windows leading into the hallway, and the only way for anyone to look through the window would be if they were hundreds of feet high and able to peer through closed-off curtains, in the center of the room each body was set up perfectly lined up for ease of approach and enabling the one conducting the experiment the optimal vector for operating.

At the very far-off center opposite of the hallway and doors on a lone chair in the midst of all the operating tables sat the dreadlocked man with a sour look upon his face, a piece of parchment and pen was on his lap, leaning back in the chair as his head bumped into the window behind him, the smell didn't seem to bother him at all, he had gotten used to it in time, having been in there working in 2 days straight. In the corner of the room a short girl dressed in a black kimono was cleaning a few medical tools in the washing faucet. Blood was practically nowhere to be found in the whole room only the covered old dead bodies. The temperature was the lowest it could artificially get to try and keep the bodies clean. But unfortunately with one of the ventilation machines broken the temperature had shifted slightly.

He dotted a few lines of text onto the parchment as he called out to the girl.
"How far are you done with the cleaning?"
"Just finished, Hyuuga-sama~" she answered in a light tune.
"Please, stop calling me that.." he replied with a tired glare sent from his eyes peering above a large toe.

The smell didn't seem to bother her either, granted it's not surprising that it isn't, she was a rather surprisingly powerful demon after all, able to change her form on will.
"Let's continue then." He said with a defeated and tired tone.
He dotted another line of text onto the parchment and stood up shortly after.
"We're going to phase two, correct?" The girl asked with a curious glare from across the room.
"Correct Hitomi, we're beginning the real experiment"

He placed his parchment and pen aside and began went up to the first body, the stomach had been sliced open by a scalpel, perfectly cut with precision so as to avoid unnecessary blood spills.
"Ready?" He asked looked at her as she walked over to him calmly. "Ready~"
Putting on a pair of white rubber gloves He concentrated his chakra in his hand and palm, pushing it outside of the gloves making his hand emanate a faint yellow light. He reached his hand towards the body, forcing his hand in through the open wound, then reaching in he activated his byakugan and stared at the body's chakra lines as he pulsed chakra into the chakra coils located in the stomach.
Hitomi standing behind had readied the parchment and the pen ready to write down what came next:
"67, 32, 52, 12, 44, 26, 41, 8, 32, 14, 19, 10, 9, 2, 3, 1, 1, 1, 0, done."
scribbling the last few numbers she looked up above the parchment.
"Interesting, it took longer this time around, the jolts lasted far longer"
"Indeed, we must be doing something right.." he remarked as he pulled his outside of the body.
"What is again that you're hoping to accomplish with this? I keep forgetting. . ."
"Okay, we know that chakra dies out of a body once it begins decomposing, when the body dies the peak of their chakra number stays the same until a few days I'm hoping to find out if there's a way to sustain this chakra in the body, or change this chakra with my own, to make the body appear to hold my own chakra inside of him. This is to test ANY and ALL potential for utilizing the dead bodies of our fallen friends and enemies to the highest potential."
"Right" she nodded with an awkward smile on her lips. "And again, what was it we were doing again?"
He sighed and walked over to the next body.

The day continued with rigorous tests, he tried different chakra forms, different elements and even tried to utilize dark chakra attained from Hitomi to see the potential application.

The results came up empty for the day, the next few days continued with the same experiments. The bodies remaining where the were.
Upon completing the experiment, at the end of the week, the bodies were removed and the room was quickly cleaned by the division leaving the room in perfect pristine order, making it seem like everything that had happened in the room just the day before never occurred, which was the intention, under clear supervision from the division head everything was back to normal, and the experiment was completed. Although unsuccessfully.

He noted in his journal: "Next time, get fresher bodies."
"The fresher the better."
