The back yard at her aunt’s house was a perfect place to train and practice, Asuka made sure to place wooden planks vertically and hope she could break them with her new jutsu. Asuka breathed in deeply. Concentrating her chakra into her hands just like she was taught, she had to actually feel the flow of chakra in her hands moving throughout her arm. This had to work. With quick hand signs, she said “Thunderfist.” Saying out loud helped her get the grasp on it. As weird as it sounds. Crackles of blue lightning could be seen before her whole hand was surrounded by lightning going back and forth between her hand and arms. She smiled and quickly got into an attacking position, running up to the first wooden plank, pulling back her hand ready to punch. Just before her hand hit the wood the lightning vanished. Her hand hurt once it made contact with the wood, Asuka clinched her teeth.
That went on for half a day, constantly practicing and she did manage to break a few wood planks but not satisfactory enough. She couldn’t keep the lightning going. Sweating and breathing heavily she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath calming her unsteady breath down and concentrating. She was going to get it this time! With quick hand signs Asuka summoned the lightning, again surrounding her hands and arms. Quickly running towards the plank, she punched it, shattering in half. Splinters flew everywhere, she looked down to her hands and smiled widely the lightning was still there. Laughing and smiling she went around the backyard, breaking every plank that she had planted.
Once done she collapsed onto the ground, today was a successful day.
