Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kamaru looked around the currently quiet halls, although several looked at the covered cup in his hand few said anything, those that did were told it was imbibed for part of a ritual for meditation. While the early morning was a bit chilly in the solemn atmosphere is also gave Kamaru a moment to meet with his contact here at the Sanctum . Finding someone blowing up a building in a way could be considered finding inner peace.
For the most part it was something Kamaru hadn’t deal a lot with or had time to think about. Spirituality. Seeing a small group forming in the early hours of the first light of day kneeling and chanting as someone played some kind of wind instrument Kamaru watched as he started to slowly patrol the areas walking with an incenser donned in robes. He didn’t really get it personally but people were able to believe and meditate on the grounds as they saw fit within reasons. This seemed to be one such example solemn praying and for the most part a quiet worshipping besides the music. Kamaru figured his mind might wonder into philosophical debates as he moved through the area his mind though stated focused looking as various people looking for someone suspicious.

The morning moved on without seeing much in the way of suspicious activities there were people worshipping by themselves or in small groups, some seemed scheduled while others seemed to be based on a spire of the moment type of situation. Kamaru stopped and stared for a bit at a mid-morning group. One at the front hit the bell next to him the chime ringing out sharply as the group and bell ringer bowed toward the small statue in front of them.
From eavesdropping the conversations ranged from the mention of something called the ‘Telos or oneness with the elements’ to various philosophies on a specific element people were worshiping and why. Kamru stopped seeing a group that looked like shinobi. The color and fight wasn’t in their eyes Kamaru noticed, plus most were missing limbs or wrapped mostly in bandages. Eventually he figured out the group was a support group of sorts, men and women still dealing with the aftereffects of the dark side of being a shinobi not dying on a mission but wondering if one should continue to work or fade away to being just a broken being, either physically, mentally, or emotionally. Kamaru was surprised to see someone among their numbers not a shinobi but someone he knew could discuss the loss of limbs with anyone new to the unfortunate reality. Kamaru smiled quietly making sure not to be seen or noticed by her and moved back through his patrol. Looking at the event leader for a few seconds Kamaru’s gaze scanned the group before he moved away wondering about things. The reverberation of bells close by being hit vibrated in his ears as he looked around for paper.

Finding one of the priests and using him as his eyes Kamaru not looking got an idea who the event coordinator was and the event. Most of them were new to the situation they were in, just back from missions to the south, there was supposedly a leak of them coming. Things went bad quickly but missions had been accomplished but with heavier tolls than expected, especially on the people that had managed to pull through and survived versus a previous rating where the loss of life wasn’t on the table for the risks or outcomes. The odd bell three men were guarding hadn’t been used for a ceremony of any kind and wasn’t a permanent fixture of the temple. Kamaru although admired the concept and thought behind the plan had a bad feeling about it regardless, at least in this situation.
Covering his face as he got closer a small crystal globe moved through the crowd. It looked like it was going to slam into the side of the unused bell when it moved upwards for a split second the globe stopping under it. Glowing slightly inside it’s crystal lattice Kamaru looked through the crystal eye and frowned, this was an old school bomb. By the side Kamaru could see it was probably a two man lift meaning it was enough to get everyone who had come back from the mission and in their immediate area of the temple.

Kamaru came out of his reasoning and planning when he heard someone say something, he knew immediately they were talking about him.

”You slowed a bit when you were walking. Must have seen something you didn’t want to see huh? You young ones should really learn how to mask your emotions. Guess it’s a good thing though. Gives me something to do… now that you know I’ll have to kill you before you warn people.” someone explained to Kamaru who seemed to have popped up next to him and had been walking for a bit. Stopping Kamaru regarded the man. In his mid-forties maybe with one hand coming out of robes Kamaru realized the man just had the one. He didn’t seem to think he was at a disadvantage, why else would he be talking to Kamaru in the tone he had plus gave him advise… there was the part about revealing he was going to kill him as well.

Kamaru stopped in a small alcove away from the crowds and in just a few feet away from a large group of worshipers Kamaru found himself alone with a man ready to kill him. ”Guess I’ll have to try and not die and stop that bomb.” Kamaru commented back and waited.

Kamaru was expecting an attack to come he didn’t think that man would be as precise and fast as he was, he didn’t see the attack coming as much as he saw the retraction of the limb backinto the folds of the man’s robe and the sudden mind confusing sensation of pain.

Kamaru couldn’t figure out how the man had managed the attack… actually the pain was telling him it was multiple attacks. Before he had had the notion to block or that there was an attack he was reeling in pain. ”Well I guess the event coordinator paid well for your services.” Kamaru breathed out nursing wounds with a hand glowing green. He could only subside the pain so much and he could tell he was outclasses. ”He hasn’t paid me yet boy, besides if the fights already out of you I might have to give him some of the money back.” the man shot back.

Kamaru had what he needed to know as he did something the Temple priests really didn’t want to see happen in their hallowed halls. Going through handseals had the man dashing at Kamaru although no effect came. As he was about to connect the explosion went off. The rumbling had Kamaru looking up when the building shook.

”Your client might be dead?” Kamaru stated still eyeing the man between looks up, ”You’re also wondering if you’re going to bring down the whole blasted temple on us you nutjob!” the older man shot back. Squaring off seemed more of a bluff since the man seemed too practical. Would he kill Kamaru on sheer principle had been a gamble. Thankfully he found out he wouldn’t be.

Looking at the man with an injured individual in a pull cart Kamaru nodded and gave him money. ”He needs to go to the hospital since he looks gravely injured.” Kamaru stated getting a nod from the man, he watched the man veer off towards the destination, the Onyx Sanctum.
