Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sunahoshitoride’s true history dates back to the days before the coming of Primus. During the wars against the Ancients, Sunagakure’s climate had begun to heat up, and wind speeds increased due to the sudden rise in temperature. In short, Sunagakure was becoming uninhabitable, and slowly but surely, Suna was being buried in the very sand that it was hidden in.

The first Kazekage decided then, to take action, ordering the development of a environmental program, as no other village had ever done. Climate changes all over the world had been affecting the way the shinobi could had to live, and many had opted to leave for various other countries.

The GAARA organization, Guild of Artificial Aerospace Research and Advancement, were the ones in charge of undertaking the project that would be used to re-locate the entire population of Sunagakure after the coming of the plague. After the Loss of King Primus they were able to determine which areas were the most opportune places for a new settlement, for various reasons. Its climate was much like their previous one, windy with sand all around, its cloud covering provided a natural defense against outside threats, and it was large enough to expand vastly upon.

By the year of the first Kazekage, GAARA had completed its program, and the first probe into the deep desert had been initiated. The first batch of pioneers was mainly scientists and engineers who would be the ones to ultimately make the deep desert into a livable environment. Upon reaching their destination nearly six months later, the group, known as Sasori Alpha, began their reconstruction of an Ancient Temple into Sunahoshitoride. Using the most advanced technology available to them and the power of the Sunaku & the Sunahoshi, they cleared away a large area filled with toxic gases from beneath the temple, replacing it with breathable oxygen. From there, construction of the fortress itself began, and it was well on its way to becoming inhabitable. The next few groups to Sunahoshitoride landed within the next five years, building up the city until its initial completion in the aftermath of the war against the Ancients. Unfortunately, the first Kazekage’s death occurred during that year as well, and he was not able to see the future he’d dreamt of in Sunahoshitoride. Kazekage Noh was chosen in his place, and she proved to be an excellent ruler. Thus, the Wyrm wars against Barynyx under Noh’s rule were known as the time of champions for Suna. When Noh was replaced after her death during childbirth by her child who would be known as Kazekage Kai, things took a turn for stability. Steward Shiro was a strong shinobi and a person of great influence and power. Therefore, he demanded education and growth until having had to fight off coups throughout nearly his entire rule, even having to slay the kindred of her regency due to their actions. Kazekage Kai was finally able to ascend to the throne after training under the Toraono Clan. With help from the Takahashi Clan, the Jenosaido Clan and the Toraono Clan an egg clutch of Wyrms were tamed and used for tunneling and transport about the desert. Suna had to constantly ship supplies back and forth, from Soon and outlying villages. Winds somehow emerged from the depths of the tunnels causing a mysterious plague to occur causing the death of many tamed SandWyrms and their riders. Merchant Lords then tried to take over Sunagakure by possessing the Kazekage through Dark Sorcery. Because of her great control of the sand, and because of the power that the dark sorcery granted her, the diamond sands slowly began to lose control allowing the powers that lay submerged in the former temple to grow as well. After another series of tragedies and the forced movement of Sunagakure underground that it was found that Sunahoshitoride could not be moved due to the climate control systems built into it. The fortress also provided air circulation for the underground tunnels. Now the once submerged entrance to access to the main hall was clear as ancient and terrible beings waited just inside for shinobi from Suna to arrive and release the ancient seals on the Temple so that the forgotten Elder God of wind old could be reborn and have its vengeance upon the world that left it behind.

Kuro arrived seemingly alone although he was never truly alone in a physical sense anymore, simply put the Unbent he sensed did not know what they were actually in for. Onamuji waited in the distance to make his move, but for now it Kuro was the primary scout as he had a vast amount of sensory abilities. Onamuji had heard rumors that Toraono Kuro was some kind of Devil Sage. He just might get to see him in action now.

Initially, Onamuji had wondered what reasoning the Council had for sending only two people to deal with what was considered an imminent threat. Imminent enough to be classified as an S-Rank mission, anyway. When he found out that he was being paired with the Border Sennin, Toroano Kuro, it made a bit more sense. He hadn't known the man personally, but through his clan's notoriety and a few chance displays in public, he had gotten a small glimpse of what he was like. More notably, it was the Djinn encounter that piqued the sage's curiosity. In that fateful event, Kuro had revealed that he was something...different. Something familiar to Muji. He was an inheritor of the First Sage's legacy - a Rikudo Sennin.

Aside from this tidbit of interest, he saw another aspect that caught his eye. The auburn-haired sage was known to be a shinobi of immense chakra...likely one of the strongest chakra signatures in Sunagakure, if not the world. But the noteworthy factor wasn't just the size and concentration of chakra, but it's nature. Most shinobi held natural affinities for certain elements of nature. Some were tied to fire, some water, some earth, et cetera. And this affinity altered the nature of the person's chakra. Those with a gift for fire would have fire-hued chakra, while those with a tie to wind would have a more viridian or green toned chakra. Muji's chakra, on the other hand, was pure in the most direct sense. White in coloration, entirely focused...it had all the force of nature in a single source of chakra. It made it all the more interesting, then, when he saw Kuro's chakra. It was dark, chaotic...powerful. It was the other end of the chakra spectrum entirely, though just as powerful, it seemed.

There were rumors, though not entirely unbased, that Kuro was part-demon. Any shinobi who knew better could see that the rumors were true. The man's demon blood was powerful enough that physical manifestations of his heritage were visible. Muji, not knowing Kuro personally, could only assume everything was true. Kuro was a Rikudo Sennin of demon's blood, and perhaps that was the nature of his dark and powerful chakra.

Though unsure of how the mission would play out at first, the amethyst-eyed sage quickly became anxious with anticipation. He would not only get to see the Sennin's power first-hand, but he might have found someone to discuss his own power with. After all, the man was not only his superior as a Sennin, he was a fellow Sage of Six Paths...a Demon Sage, perhaps. Though of different birth and entire opposites in nature, the two were technically remote kin to one another. No matter what they found in this fortress-temple, it was bound to be a learning experience...

"Would you prefer to shake up that little welcoming party, or should I?" Muji asked, whispering over his headset, "I see four at the entrance. Shouldn't be an issue if we can draw them into a fight and keep them from warning any others of our approach."

As Kuro was the ranking shinobi, Muji would defer to Kuro's preference. While the Sennin walked openly, the auburn-haired Jounin would keep his distance, watching both the Sennin himself and the temple's entrance. As a jutsu specialist, distance was his ally. And with a fight imminent, it was the wiser formation for the duo to take...the physically powerful Kuro up front and the chakra-oriented specialist at a distance.

[OOC: I just assumed you've got a headset on. If you don't, just play it off as a quiet yell from close by :p]

Kuro shrugged for Onamuji's comments he saw many similarities between Onamuji and himself but the main difference was Onamuji was not layered in dark chakra, he was pure essence and it made Kuro feel better since his wife would be for lack of a better description a mixture of dark and pure chakra. Kuro's powers were a facet of both his demonic ancestry and his actual blood, his demon side had awakened a disproportionate amount of power within him that at first he had struggle to internalize until he realized he could simply manifest it so that it did not overpower him. "I will approach first and offer them a chance to leave alive..."</COLOR><i></i> Kuro strode forward his senses hyper alert as he called out to the four presences he felt just before him. " I offer the four of you a chance to leave intact but if you insist upon maintaining ambush positions before the entrance to Sunahoshitoride then I will be forced to respond with lethal force."

The Unbent at the entrance realized that despite their attempt to hide and ambush they had been spotted, it was most unfortunate for they had planned to sacrifice these two unprepared nin from Suna to the rebirth of the Wind God, now they would have to feast upon them instead like they had done so many unlucky travelers, explorers, and ninja before. Rising from the sand they each took a defining stance so that as Onamuji and Kuro could truly see them directly they could also see what elemental chakra empowered them. All but the most dangerous of the four was empowered by Wind element chakra, the most dangerous of the four was earth and water chakra which meant wood element, the most savage looking was wind and earth he was obviously sand element. The second was wind and water which meant Ice element, he would be a daunting challenge. The third was wind and lightning, which meant storm element. Kuro could easily counter the first three but the Wood element was a different sort of power that Kuro had only studied, he had never endured it.

The Sand element user gestured and tendrils of sand responded as he called out to them. <COLOR color="brown">"Are you ready to die Sunans because I assure you we defiers of all that would bend us to their will are ready to kill you."<i></i>
