Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kyo had accepted a ‘mission’ from a small family whose son had been beaten by a bandit that had started causing trouble since the earthquake, he had been tasked with capturing him and bringing him to the proper authorities for him to receive his punishment, something Kyo was willing to do, even if it wasn’t an official mission given by the council. The family hadn’t been able to afford paying for an official mission, even when they had collected amongst themselves to try and raise enough. Kyo had agreed to do it for half of the collected money, returning the rest to the families, while some would think him kind for doing so, and his real motives was helping to build his reputation. The spreading of his actions via word of mouth would be worth more than if it had been an official mission, so he had no trouble taking it on, the goodwill it would generate amongst the effected families would also be of use in the coming time, perhaps some would even be willing to become informants, safe houses or other uses that he would think of at a later date, popularity was something one had to cultivate amongst the people to receive things like that.

The mission itself was simple enough, so would be finding the man as he didn’t seem to intent on hiding, perhaps figuring that because of who he was attacking he could avoid having the authorities send a shinobi after him, while correct he hadn’t counted on the fact that there were people like Kyo out there that would just do it for less money, or perhaps even those that would do it with no reward in the end at all. Kyo had simply had to ask around, as he had started to build his reputation there were those that had no problem letting him know when and where they had seen the man, after all the boy was responsible for cleaning up several bands of criminals and helping people off the books as well many different times. While others may have thought the cooperation he gained was remarkable, it was all part of Kyo’s long term plan, one that he had originally setting in motion months ago and would take years to fully mature, even if it was paying off in some small way currently.

Kyo worked his way through the area, looking for the tall red-haired man with various tattoos and piercings across his brow, nose, chin and studs embedded into his arms.

Kyo supposed they helped intimidate the normals, it didn’t take much to do so after all, even if they did nothing to actually help the man fight better or perform any type of jutsu. Those that saw him would assume the pain it put him through would make him a tougher opponent, and perhaps for a normal that would be true, but against a shinobi, even one as low ranking as him, the man was nothing. At least it made him much easier to track, what with him standing out to those he passed so much, another weakness that Kyo and other shinobi did not have to worry about, after all a simple transformation would take care of that.

Finally his prey spotted, Kyo began a series of handseals, allowing himself to fade from the surrounding area and the sounds that came from him to completely be silenced. He was essentially invisible to the normals around him, and that included his target that he was now actively pursuing. While the take down would be simple and easy, he intended to make a bit more of a scene of it than what was currently available due to the lack of people around. Instead of striking immediately the boy followed the man, watching and waiting for the right moment to strike, a moment when there was more eyes to be drawn to the man and Kyo’s capture of him. He didn’t have to wait long as the man turned from the near empty street and proceeded down an alley way to a small street bazzar, seeing his chance Kyo sprang into action as the man neared the center of the area and had snatched an apple from a small booth giving the man who ran it a glare to silence any protest. Kyo grabbed the man’s back shoulder and spun him around, dismissing the jutsu that cloaked him before he did so before throwing a series of quick jabs into the man’s stomach, he went down like a sack of bricks. It was all over in just a second, Kyo caught the apple that had flew from his hand and tossed it back to the surprised man behind the boot, “Scum like this will be punished.” Kyo said simply before lifting the man on to his shoulders in a fireman’s carry and quickly vacating the area by moving up a nearby wall and out into the city.

Kyo took the unconscious man across the city to a small office, in that office there was sat a member of the Deathwatch’s Crime and Punishment division, the man that Kyo took was unceremoniously dropped to the ground, still unconscious, as Kyo and the man exchanged a simple nod. This wasn’t the first time that Kyo had brought in a criminal without being tasked with a mission to do so, nor would it be the last. The two shared an understanding of what was going on and simply cuffed the troublemaker and lead him to one of the cells attached to the building where he would await transfer to the Tarterian Specus where he would serve his time before being released. Hopefully the cracked ribs the boy had given him would be enough to keep the man from repeating what he had done, and if not, there were always more drastic measures that could be taken, after all people disappeared in Cronopolis all the time, never to be seen again.
