Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A short black haired girl with chocolate eyes stood outside a bakery wearing a apron that seemed to be too big for her and tied several times around her waist. She carried a plate in front of her, which carried the bakery's most delicious baked goods of the season. And here she stood kindly asking other's to take a free sample. For what reason? To bring in business of course. Part time shinobi, part time helper at her parent's bakery. She didn't care for much for this job. She'd rather be outside training than sweep up inside. The only thing she truly enjoyed about it was being able to see all the different kinds of people who stepped through the bakery. So of course, she had to open her mouth and ask her mother for more work outside of the bakery so she could explore more, and now here she is, stuck handing out free samples.

But now, after several hours of standing out here, she began to get bored. She hoped a vicious shinobi fight would break out under her nose and she'd have to use her awesome shinobi skills to defend the village (Or at least the bakery.) But of course, that didn't happen. She sighed, held the plate out in front of her, and continued back with her job. It was only a matter of time.

Saemon had spent the majority of the last few days searching for all the things he would need to survive a life away from the village. His intention to leave was turning into a realistic situation. He was certain he was only a day or two from bringing Mio with him and leaving Suna forever. But it was not today.

Instead of work or searching for more supplies, the 6 foot 8 monster of a man found himself simply walking the streets of the business region in the Sietch Zensunna districts. It was as if he was seeing the place for the first time. For so long he passed the shops and did not see them. They were a blur of existence that had no relevance in his life. People ate at the little cafes, bought toys for their children and sought out booze for later at night in their homes. His slow pace allowed him to see the names of many shops he didn't even know existed before today.

Just a few minutes prior Saemon had found himself in a small jewelry shop run by an elderly man with good fashion. He was squat and bald with such squinty eyes he couldn't even tell when the man was looking him in the eye. He had browsed his wares for a time (ones he boasted were of the finest and rarest quality in all of Wind and Fire Countries) and ended up selecting three things. The first was a simple silver chain bracelet, one for his brother who's birthday was rapidly approaching. It was a very masculine piece but fancy. Since his brother was such a pretty-boy, it suited him in his opinion.

Then he had picked a silver, hand weaved, opal arm band for his raven haired girlfriend. It was pricy, but nothing he couldn't pay for on the regular. The last item, however, he hadn't really been looking for, but when he'd seen knew it had been for Koho. It was a ring; gold with diamonds and 5 beautifully cut rubies. The piece was so extravagant he had to put a hefty deposit down just to have it held for him and would have to return at a later time with the rest of the money before he could walk away with it. If he thought about it logically, the damned thing would end up costing him over a year's worth of missions. But it was worth it. She was worth it.

So with his pocket much lighter than before, the scruffy faced man left the building and continued down the road. Two shops down he slowed to light a black papered cigarette. That's when he noticed a young girl with short cropped black hair in a amusingly big apron handing out freebies. He never turned down a free anything. So he took a drag from his smoke, then dropped the barely used thing to the hard ground and rubbed it into nothing under his shoe. The gray smoke swirled from his nostrils as he approached the girl. He attempted to smile, but since he was no good at such things, it probably came out looking like a grimace. "What do you have there?" he asked, attempting to sound friendly. His deep, gravelly voice could be heard easily over the bustling people. Saemon was easily heard in general.

“G-greetings sir..” Bo muttered quietly. She stared at the ground as he approached her. He was over a foot taller than her and she felt quite intimated. But she was working, and he was a potentional customer and he had to be treated as such. “W-would you like to try our free samples?” She said, remembering what her father told her. Try to only give out samples with people that have money, otherwise they will just take the samples and leave. Real business advice. The man looked like he had some cash on him, so why not?

Bo tried to smile back at him, but it might not of been sucessful. She hoped he didn't get offended by her trembling hands holding onto the plate and the slight look of terror on her face. She tried to hold the plate above her head so he could see the samples better and squeaked; “We..we...we.. have cakes, cupcakes.. mochi.. All kinds of good things sir..C-ch...chocolate, strawberry.. ”

"Whoa. No. I'm not wearing that." The tone of her voice was in a lower register than most women, and resembled that of honey. The woman in which the voice belonged to was tall, and her almond shaped eyes glowed the sharpest baby blue in the entire white-washed room. Her hair was jet black and fell down to her waist in dark waterfalls. The whitewashed room belonged to her twenty one year old adopted sister Mija. She was holding a hand tailored dress, urging it towards her with that goofy smile she always head. "Nope. Not a chance." Kitanai, the woman the voice belonged to, of course, shook her head and was clad in a short black laced night gown, identical to the white one her sister had. In looks, they were just that: light and dark. Her blonde hair and brown eyes clashing with Kita's, and yet, they got along so well.

"Papa had it made just for you, Kita-Chan! You have to wear it!" Mija urged, throwing it at her older sister who begrudingly caught it. "Ah, yes, of course. Old man is always insisting I squeeze myself into breast-popping corsets." She muttered, rolling her eyes as her sister pulled her arm towards the large white vanity with sprinkled painted flowers. Mija had always been so much girlier than her, and yet, she was always so excited to doll up her darkened sister.

"Do I have to, Mija-Chan." She asked quietly as her sister pulled her hair away from her back and brushed it down sweetly, lifting a curler to her hair as she worked on creating a romantic wave to her raven black hair. "Some people would kill for my beauty touches, Kita-Chan!" She squealed excitedly as she pulled gently on each individual strand. "Tch, right." Kitanai teased lovingly as her eyes dropped bashfully.
~*~

So, she got her in the dress. She got that romantic curl in her hair. She got the subtle pink blush and lip gloss on her supple lips--and then, like the devious sister she was, sent Kitanai on her way to do the errands as she stuttered out an excuse as to why she couldn't go, and headed in the opposite direction.

So there, walking down the streetfull of little shops, was an uncharacteristically cutesy Ijimeru Kitanai. She stood in the middle of some small bake shop she had discovered, going on an errand for some sweet bread and scones for the tea her father enjoyed serving. Her basket filling with various things she couldn't help but grab as well--like those absolutely "to die for" brownies. And as she checked out, paying the cashier she moved out to where a bashful looking black haired girl with the most adorable hair cut stood. Kita slowing to a stop as she gave her a brief smile and looked at her tray, taking in the array of beautifully decorated pasteries.

"What do you have there?"

Those glowing cyan eyes widened as she stared down at the ground as the girl raised her tray for the all-too familar masculine voice. She named off the types of samples they had, Kitanai slowly raising her head to look at the beautiful young girl, "What is a mochi, miss?" She asked as her eyes looked oddly bashful away from her, as her mind slipped her for a moment.

Now, to the young girl, perhaps, it seemed normal. But, to anyone who had met Kitanai, they would know that she was bullheaded, headstrong, and confident. She held her head high and spat on those who stepped in front of her. But how on Earth could she do that when she felt like a walking circus? Clown makeup and hair to go along with the whole facade. She was okay with going out and blending in with everyone else that she didn't know--but to run into someone so familiar? Someone who's opinion she...actually cherished?

Oh, how embaressing.

(Sorry about the delay)

The extremely tall man had to stoop slightly to look at the tasty sample tray, even though the girl had reached up overhead. She was over two feet shorter than he was and her waist alone was probably smaller than his thigh. Yet he meant her no harm and attempted to be as un-menacing as possible. His hand lingered over the selection for a little while, swimming slowly over the tops of something white and something dark. He eventually chose the darkest looking chocolate thing with little bluish decorations on top. As his long fingers brushed the treat, a sudden wave of warm vanilla hit his senses. He breathed in deeply, though silently. Saemon didn't need to look up to know who had exited the shop and was now only a few feet away from him.

After his lifted the sweet from the serving dish, he brought himself back to his full height and his eyes followed. They focused for the last of the girl's stammering explanation on her face, making sure to give her his polite attention. But his gaze shifted over and he felt his throat catch a little. Kitanai was here, arms full of treats, but she wans't herself today, or at least how he recognized her. Perhaps it was how she dressed when she was off-duty. Regardless he thought it was lovely.

His dull blue eyes actually looked pleasant today, void of any anger or displeasure. They glanced over the woman, taking in the tasteful dress, the soft curls in her licorice colored hair and the touch of pink to her lips. His own lifted into a half-cocked smile which appeared only a moment before he popped the chocolate into his mouth, hiding it. Unable to help himself, and without enough tact to finish his sweet first, he answered Kita's question for the girl. "It's a gooey rice cake-thing." Obviously he didn't like mochi.

But since it wasn't right to just turn his attention away from the first person he started conversation with, no matter how much he liked to see the other in that dress, Saemon returned to the girl. "Absolutely delicious." he said, his deep voice carrying a sound honesty. The girl was so shy. He'd learned some years ago that crouching down to a young girl's height, however, did nothing to help the situation. Instead it was best to treat her as an equal and not as some young child. "I think I could go for a dozen of those. Would you mind helping me?" he was more than willing to follow the girl back into the shop if she was willing to help him. He peered over at the taller woman for a moment and tipped his head as if to say, 'you too'.

status: shyness overload

While the man looked over the treats, Bo only only noticed the woman who had joined them because of her voice. She could not see the woman due to the act the plate was blocking her view. When she felt the man select a treat, she lowered the plate down. If she wasn't blushing with shyness already, she certainly was now. The woman who arrived was very beautiful. If there was something else besides intimating men to make her go into full shy mode, it was woman who were much beautiful than she was. Being a bit of a tomboy, she certainly didn't know how to act around them. Her eyes glance back and forth from the man to the woman. She wondered if they knew each other. She began to feel very small and awkward. She just wanted to sink into the ground and disappear. The woman asked what a Mochi was, and the man spared her from answering. She probably wouldn't of been able to answer anyways; it would of just come out in squeaks.

She had just realized that the man was speaking to her. ”Oh.. y-yes.. sir of course.” She turned slightly, nodding her head towards the opening of the bakery. For a split second she almost smiled thinking about if the man would even be able to fit inside. ”Right this way..” She lead the way into the bakery, walking sort of stiffly even though her legs felt like jello. When they entered the bakery, it was almost like a completely entering different world. The tables were sparkly-clean and the seats were white and fluffy, and the walls painted a cheerful light pink. The floors were covered in a polka-dotted pattern. A long the side of the bakery was the selection of deliciously baked goods. They were the bigger selections of what Bo had on the plate and much more. She headed over to the selection of chocolate where she pointed them out with shaking hands. ”T-this.. is our selection sir..”

[Sorry if anything seems unclear.. I'll try and fix it if it does.]

There was an off set tension in the room as her body took in the aroma of the samples. It wasn't as thick compared to inside, but just as deluctable. Her fingers wrapped around her shopping basket as she rocked a little on her small-heeled brown shoes. Her question lingering for a moment before, to her delightful surprise, Saemon answered. Kitanai's angular face clocked and looked up at him, her eyes moving to catch his as a knot tied in her stomach, and it fluttered for a moment. It was a strange feeling she wasn't used to, and for a moment she thought she would be sick. And yet, it was a good feeling, rather than a bad one. Her lips curling up a little as she smiled at him, one of those deep sentimental smiles that look like they hold a secret as well as a hidden embrace of sincere graditude for his presence.

Some hidden part of her wanted to take his hand, which was an unfamiliar emotion that she would not act on. But there was something about him that made her want to edge closer and, some how, some way, connect physically with him. A playful pull, an accidental bump, an embrace, whatever it was. The feeling itself made her uneasy. She wasn't sure why these strange urges had decided to capture her mind and take over, but they lingered and haunted her in a way.

Her eyes stayed steadily on his, even when he moved his gaze to look at the cute little shop girl. Kita watching his moves with such interest before catching herself and turning her head away, the curls bouncing from the movement. Saemon had asked to buy a dozen of whatever chocolate he had eaten, and the girl easily and sweetly countered, as Kitanai glanced up, feeling his gaze on her as she caught his eye--his look inviting her, no, urging her, to follow him. But why?

Her stomach tightened again as she white-knuckled the basket in her hands and re-entered the bake shop behind the towering Saemon and the adorable young girl. She showed them to the shelves of selections that Saemon had picked up, offering him an array to buy from.

Kitanai set down her basket, leaning forward, curls sliding over her shoulders to dangle lazily in front, as she got a better look at the vast selection. Blue, pink, orange, white, brown, purple--all the colors of the rainbow slathered onto chocolates that made her mouth water. "Good luck choosing," Knowing Saemon hadn't raised an eyebrow at her appearance, her tone came off more powerful than the first time. Her esteem slightly lifted, and giving a better look at her personality. "I don't think I could pick from such a good looking bunch."

The towering man followed the small female into the shop. He had to duck at the doorway (a common problem he ran into anywhere really) and passed through. He was greeted with a wave of delicious smells and an eyeful of bright, pleasant ambiance. His dull blues gazed over the display shelves and table tops. He wondered how much it cost these people to have such a nice establishment.. maybe when he was old he would want a place like this.. minus the pink maybe. The patterned floor caught his attention as well, and it occurred to him that probably many a child had been in here and hopped all over the polka-dots, trying not to touch any other part of the floor.

Amused and in a good mood, the jounin came up to the display where the chocolates were laid out, as directed by the pixie-like youngster. As a good customer, he took his time looking over the items for sale. He really didn't have a strong sweet tooth, though chocolate was nice once and a while. It was probable he would purchase these goodies and end up giving them to people he knew. It was good business for them anyway. After a moment longer, he nodded slightly then raised his eyes back up to the girl. "I'll take three with the green tops, 3 from the red swirls and the rest of the dozen in the plain dark with cocoa powder." It would take the girl a minute or two to collect them for him and he was able to turn his focus on the woman who had followed the pair into the shop once more.

She had her gaze down upon the spectral array of choices when he looked her way. He took the chance to re-address the view he'd only caught a second of outside. The dress was nice and the make up was pretty on her, but it was the lofty black curls that held his attention the best. They framed her face and gave her a delicate appearance. She was like pure decadence and belonged in a sweets store.

The register was located on the other side of Kitanai so Saemon pushed away from the shelves and made his way across the small sea of polka-dots where he could pay for the treats. He could not, however, resist breathing in her scent once more. The fingers on the hand nearest to her itched as he passed, wanting to touch her curls. 'Temptress' he wanted to mutter, but silence, always silence from the tall man.

Once he was near the register, he waited for the goods to be delivered and took out more yen than would be needed; the rest would be for the girl working there.

But the quiet day was not to stay quiet it seemed. The pleasant, albeit slightly tensed atmosphere of the small store was shattered as the front door reopened and in poured a trio of young males. Two of them were probably 13 or 14 and the last was closer to adulthood; probably 16. They were all sporting Suna headbands.

Saemon would have been content ignoring all of them, but they seemed to want to be noticed. The two younger boys came up to the counter and started to tap loudly in off-timed patterns, attempting to be rude and impatient no doubt. The last boy walked up as well, but he hung himself over the counter and exclaimed loudly, "Hurry the fuck up civvy, we're hungry."

The term was not unknown to Saemon. It was often used from the shinobi when regarding the everyday civilians of the village. It was general used in a derogatory way, as if to say you were mere dirt under their shoes, nothing more. The shorter of the two boys seemed to notice Kitanai then and nudged the other who in turn whistled at her and gave her a poorly executed flirtatious grin. The oldest boy followed suit, and being the obvious ringleader, pushed away from the shelf ad approached the dark haired woman. He was already taller than her, almost 6 feet tall by his guessing and his flagrant arrogance annoyed Saemon beyond belief. It wasn't as if Saemon was acting imposing, but so be rude to the girl working there and then come onto a woman standing near another man, it would be regularly assumed she was not available.

But Saemon knew better than to act the hero. Kitanai was no damsel in distress, and to be honest he wanted to know how the young girl would handle the situation herself.

The oldest boy pushed a hand through his messy, wavy brown locks and said, "You're one hell of a fox, aren't you?"

It was shameful to admit, but the sweets much held her eye better than Saemon did. It wasn't anything against him at all--no no, she very much so liked him. But, they were just so captivating. They were so expertly made and swirled. Each chocolate delicately created by the hands of someone who knew what they were doing. The smell itself was so enchanting that it took all of her might not to reach over and throw one into her mouth. No, she couldn't. Not with all these people around--especially Saemon. She'd keep her thrifty hands to herself for the time being.

Kitanai's mind full of spoiled thought caused her to be oblivious to the admiring gaze that the handsome man behind her gave. Her tongue sliding hungrily across her lips as she looked in the opposite direction of his stare. He took in her vanilla smell and watched the form of her body move ever so slightly without her even noticing. Wasn't that the most romantic truth? The most pleasant looks you are to receive in your life you will be completely and totally oblivious to.

Saemon and the girl moved away from her, passing her from behind towards the register as she straightened out at the sudden realizing that she was gawking by herself in the aisle. Her delicate white hands brushing herself off as she composed her behavior just as a small group of boys rudely entered. Their fingers rapping against the counter as Kitanai rolled her eyes and turned around to look at a different selection of chocolates she had managed to avoid the first time--but not this time. No, the chocolates had her mind trapped now.

The vulgar words came from a boy by the counter, followed by a civilian slur and Kita scowled for a moment to herself as she heard the footsteps of one of the boys approach confidently to her side. He leaned on the shelves, trying to look as handsome as he could--it seemed. Something about him gave off a cocky coolness that, perhaps, would have been attractive, had he not been just a boy with a mean atmosphere.

Kitanai's innocent looking cyan eyes turned upwards at him as she gave him a slow smile at his 'compliment'. Her raven curls resting now in front of her shoulders in large swirling nightfall twirls. Her supple rose lips parting for a moment as though she had been flattered by his remark, "Oh, my," She said quietly, "I wish I could see from your point of view,"Her façade sweet smile slowly faded into that familiar devilish one, "But I'm afraid I can't get my head that far up my ass." Kitanai gave a polite nod of the head, as though to say 'your welcome' sarcastically to him as she turned away from him collecting a chocolate dough of sorts into her basket, giving the boy nothing but a cold shoulder.

[OOC: Hope you don't mind the skip, Bo. I figured it was alright as long as I didn't interact with her. :) PM me if it's not.]

The dark haired demoness walked through the streets like she hadn't just woken up screaming as the memory of her 16th birthday haunted her dreams. And of course it had to be while she was doing a hypnosis session with her therapist. The woman had made her talk the night out, but once she actually got to a certain point, she started screaming and broke completely out of the hypnosis. The closest medics ended up having to subdue her. They had just released her and she was craving something sweet.
Tales had been told of this rather pink bakery that sold delicious treats. She was currently hunting for the shop when she saw the trio walk into the store she was looking for. She didn't know exactly who walked into the store, all she could tell was that it was two females and a rather tall male. The originally 5'5" girl was in 5" wedges and rather punk red and black attire. The heels were different as they were 2 inches taller than her usual heels, so she was still getting used to the extra height.
Mio trounced into the store, making sure to exude grace, even when her ankles felt like they were going to roll out from under her. She easily walked up to the counter and smiled brightly, her blue eyes glowing with hidden power.
"Hello, could I get some chocolate biscuits? Perhaps four?"
Once the woman behind the counter went to fill her order, Mio turned and looked at the other people in the store. Her eyes widened and she started to smile.
"Saemon! Not used to running into you in sweet shops, especially one so- pink." Mio smirked a bit before walking over to him and resting a hand on his forearm as was her normal affectionate greeting while in public.

After getting the man his order, Bo made her way to the cashier. Normally Bo would not of worked the cash register, but her father seemed to be busy in the back so she took care of it herself. She pushed the step-up stool in front of the cash register and hopped onto it. “Those are some good ones sir.” She said, smiling. Well, all of her father's bakery goods were the good ones so there really was no reason the ones he chose were any better than the others. She took the money from the man and rang it up, noticing that he gave her much more money than needed. He seemed to want her to keep it, but she dropped it into the tip jar instead. There really was no reason for her to have any money since there really wasn't anything she needed at the moment. She hoped he wasn't offended.

She wasn't quite sure what to do now. A group of boys walked in who were somewhat older than Bo. She noticed the headbands around their heads and her eyes got as big as plates in awe. They are shinobi! She said to herself, her insides squirming with jealously. The were rude, loud and hungry. Then again, when most men are hungry and act rude and loud so they will be fed. Her father said these were the type of costumers you want to get in and out of the shop. While Bo was busy taking their orders, she heard one of the boys make a comment to the lady in the dress that was outside with the man. She had to bite the bottom of her lip to keep herself from smiling at the woman's retort. Despite the dress, she didn't seem to act lady-like at all. After the boys paid, another customer was right behind them.

“Chocolate biscuits? Of course.” Bo repeated, nodding to the woman. She couldn't help but notice that this woman was nicely dressed too and Bo once again because to feel nervous. She opened up one of the small boxes and slide open the glass panel and grabbed four biscuits with the tongs. “T-That will be 400 yen please..” She said as she lifted herself back up. Blushing a deep maroon, she noticed that the woman had put her hand on the man's forearm. Were they lovers? What if they started kissing there on the spot? She assumed the other woman liked Saemon.. She could see the headlines now.. Cat-fight breaks out in tiny bakery.. Young girl charged... “Uhm....” Bo started to speak, but then stopped. All she could do was stare at them as she held out the chocolate bisquits.

Well... this made things interesting. Saemon's interest had been on the rude boys who entered the room and was ready to intercede at a moment's notice, but things changed and all he could see was the raven haired beauty who entered the sweet shop. Gods it was going on a month since he'd last seen her, wasn't it now?

Outwardly, Saemon seemed to be the same as before. It was only those who really paid him attention, down to his details that would take note of the change in body language. There was a shift in stance as he leaned away from Kitanai just a fraction and as the new girl came up and touched his arm, his dull blue eyes almost softened. It wasn't an intentional act, simply a natural reaction to Mio being in close proximity.

For his part, Saemon was loyal. Not in the traditional sense of the word. He didn't believe in monogamy, and unknown to many, he was in two different, serious relationships. He would defend and cherish in private the way any one who held your heart should be treated; as if she was the only person in the world. He couldn't help himself. He was a man of deep emotions and found himself drawn too strongly to certain others. The last time he'd spent the night with Mio, he had confessed his other love to her and she had accepted it and him with understanding and grace.

His first love was Koho, his red queen. She had overtaken his heart through sheer chaos and stunning vibrancy. She was away in mist at the moment and causing him great animosity with her choices. Mio, was at first a more casual companion. But she slipped into his heart over time and took hold like a titanium lock. His two women offered him different things and made him whole. Mio was fragile, gentle, young and vibrant. He was strong to her weak, she was soft to his harshness. Koho was all fire, Mio was water.

But Kiti-chan wasn't exactly nothing either. She was almost like wind to him now. She was unpredictable and violent, or soothing and calm and teasing. It was all very complex for the jounin now... Fuck it all... And his ease and enjoyment at Mio coming to his side was crippled by the sudden self-disappointment with his growing bond with Kiti-chan. His fingers reached up to touch Mio's hand for the barest moment then let them slide back to his side.

However things continued to grow stupid with tension from the almost-forgotten boys. The oldest boy paid no mind to the going on's of Saemon. He was caught up with the woman before him. He ignored her comment with a smooth wave of his hand and he continued to try on her and then to Mio as well... "Ah come on now, don't be like that sugartits. My cock is huge, why don't you and that other girl come see your yourselves."

Well that did it. Saemon's expression turned to stone and he stepped away from the counter and around Kitanai, putting himself directly onto the boy's personal space, maybe a few inches from him. He looked down at his face with one devoid of humor and full of seriousness. "You better watch your mouth, boy." he said, his deep baritone laced with malice. "These women here aren't interested and that little girl doesn't need to hear your filth."

The boy was too cocky for his own good. His arrogant smile widened and he stood up, pushing away from the counter. The two goons weren't as self assured, offering nervous glances to one another before standing up to back up their friend. The eldest boy looked Saemon directly in the face and sneered. "Oh, what, did I hurt your feelings old man? Not used to seeing a real man with something worth mentioning between his legs?" then as arrogant as could be, he spoke up louder, addressing the girls again. "There's three of us, three of you ladies." he was even including Bo. She was very young, but not much younger than the younger boys so it wasn't surprising she got lumped in; she was cute all the same. "Let's leave gramps here to lick his own blue balls and go back to my place for some fun."

Well anyone who might be surprised shouldn't be. Saemon had a bad temper once he was mad. Not only was the little shit spitting in his face, the least of his concerns, but he was treating all three women like easy sluts. His anger exploded. His fist came down on the boy faster than he would be able to dodge. It hit him square in the jaw, which sent the boy reeling and crashing into nearby tables. Either younger boy quickly withdrew a kunai and came at Saemon. They might have been nervous but they were loyal to their friend. Either boy slashed in unison at Saemon's sides, an obvious attack they used together in practice and made purchase. Two bloody cuts opened at his sides, but he was unfazed. His eyes were focused on the fallen boy on the ground, who was now starting to get back up and angrier than before. Saemon was stalking forward and was ready to kill the boy, the boy just hadn't realized it yet...

Ha! That would show the cocky twerp who was boss! Her body turning away from him with a bit of a bounce in her step as she had a moment of prideful sin. She was patting herself on the back silently as she considered what a quick and witty comeback she had managed when a bright voice sung out Saemon's name, Kitanai slowly turning and looking up in their direction. A woman, who damn near looked like her--had she not been dolled up--approached him, her hand laying on his arm as his hand brushed hers. His eyes softening as he looked so pleasantly down at her.

Kitanai's throat caught. It felt like someone had shoved a baseball into it, and for a moment, she couldn't breathe. Her eyes fiery as she watched, and felt something inside of her split, right down the middle. Her eyes staring before she caught herself, looking sharply to the side and down, the boy leaning in towards her, as though he could smell her sudden vulnerability.

Sex was what he wanted? Well, at that point, the woman couldn't help but ask herself why not. Especially if the kid had a bit of money on him. She could use the extra change for some earrings, or whatever she deemed necessary at the moment. Her eyes looked up, at that wallowing grin spread across his face--and if it hadn't been for Saemon, she would have went.

He stepped in front of her. So close she could take in his smell. That sent she so loved, and it took all of her will not to reach out and hug him from behind. Bury his face into his back, and take his that scent deeply. No, there was that woman over there. She was there. She was his.

Oh God, it hurt...

Her eyes squeezed shut, as an indescribable emptiness filled her stomach, as though there was a hole right through here that drafted though and bleed heavily.

But she was dragged out of her thoughts as a crack of a jaw echoed through the small shop, Kita looking up as two kunai-wielding kids slashed through his sides and ran behind him, and past her. They were just what she needed to take a bit of this new emotion out on.

Turning, dolled up with lacy curls and a cotton dress, the disguised assassin grabbed the hair of one of the nearest boys, who was quick to make a slash at her with his Kunai, nicking her as she bent out of the way before she grabbed his head and head butted hers against his. She knew she should have taken her gear with her, but at the moment, she was unarmed.

"You little son of a bitch," She hissed as he hit the ground the other one flanking her with the kunai, grazing her other side--clearly as though that was the only side he was used to from his partnered training. Kitanai grabbing his arm and bending it behind him, "I'll break your arm, you understand me?" She hissed as she grabbed his hair and threw him into a shelf as she turned to face Saemon who was stalking towards the young boy--fire practically bursting from his body.

It was a familiar anger that was emanating from him. No, she wasn't a familiar with it as someone, such as this new girl, was, but she had seen it before on a smaller scale. Deep within his eyes that day he was reading the letter she had given him. But this time, that flame had moved from his eyes and caressed his entire being.

He would kill that boy.

"Saemon," She commanded as he stalked towards him, "Saemon, stop." It was funny how such bitter anger could envelop someone so much, that they were blind sided. Kitanai was just victim to it to the point that she had just thrown two little shinobi boys to the ground.

The woman moved quickly, grabbing at his waist--she knew she wasn't enough to hold him back, so grabbing his arm was only going to get her punched in the nose--"Saemon! Stop! He's just a new shinobi!" She cried out, trying to pierce through the flaming anger shield that burned around him "If you fight him, your rank against his, you'll kill him!" She shouted, "In front of all these people!" She held onto his waist, her arms locked around him to hold no matter how hard he would try and shake her. Her fingers entwined and her eyes squeezing shut a she pressed her cheek against his back.

That scent was so welcoming and calming. Her head wanted to lull against his and take a moment of peace and sincerity. She could hear his heart beat loudly in his veins, and it was that of a lullaby she wasn't used to. A sound of rushing blood that would normally give her a blood lust, now, broke her heart.

As oblivious as she was, Mio snapped back into reality when the stupid boy made the worst comment he could ever make in front of her. She started to lunge forward at the boy, but was cut off by Saemon's massive height. Her blue eyes started shining golden as she watched the young ones gang up on her man. Her mind wasn't as rational as to know that he could take the three of them easily, no. All her body and mind knew was that someone was attacking what was hers, and if they didn't stop soon, she was going to hurt someone.
The third young shinobi ran past Saemon, slicing his side, and Mio caught the lad by his waist, effectively knocking him out with an electrically emphasized hit to the head. Her fury at the boy gone, she gently laid him down, away from the fray and cast a sedation jutsu on him. Mio turned back to see the other woman holding onto Saemon, begging him to stop or he'd kill the boy. She looked at his face and saw exactly what Kitanai did.
The sword that she still wasn't sure how to use was on her hip and on instinct, she pulled it and pointed it at the boy's throat. The blade and her body crackled with energy, her eyes shone almost pure gold as she tapped into the part of herself that she had discovered recently.
"If I were you, boy. I would run, and fast."
She would give him a moment to leave before walking in between the idiot and Saemon, blade pointed toward the ground.
"Saemon, please be calm. Remember where you are. The boy's an idiot, much like the boy on my old gennin team was, remember? All bark and no bite?" Mio focused so that her hand only contained the usually amount of electricity Saemon would be used to before reaching up to put her hand to his chest.

What were these things... that were holding him back.

His eyes were pinned on the sprawled boy. He saw nothing else. But the thing was holding him back. Should he tear it off himself? He could smell blood. It was hot and metallic in his nose, but something else. Vanilla... and metal. His legs stopped moving forward and his hands came up to touch the soft belt encircling his body. Youthful, supple flesh and baby soft hairs. His hands splayed over the skin, fingers easily circling the thin limbs. He moved them closer together toward his middle. He felt a small bump under his index finger, then another under his other hand's ring finger as his hands slid over the skin holding him and he looked down.

When his hands came to the center, they paused over the clasped hands. His index finger moved, touching the silver ring on her middle finger and brushed over to the side, finding several scars. It all happened so quickly, but he was siled with adrenaline and rage... everything moved more slowly to him. A moment was like a lifetime. Every breath took an eternity.

For that moment Kitanai had crossed over the barrier he had placed between himself and any others, especially her, coming to see his rage-filled vulnerability and touched him as only few did. Her breath was in time with his now calming one. He could even feel her heart beating against his back through her chest...

And then the moment shifted and there was his raven. She was standing before him. Her long fingered hand laid down upon his muscled chest and a sizzling shock of electricity ran through his body. It jolted him from his rage, pushing away the last remnants of his bloodlust away from him. She was right... he would have killed that boy. It wouldn't have been the first time. He looked up and met her glowing blue eyes and felt...

Time was back to speed. His eyes flicked from Mio to the area round him. The boy at some point... had ran for his life. The other two boys were just running out the door.

Saemon was angry again, but not for the same reason whatsoever. He was angry with himself. How could he have believed he was getting better... he was untethered again. With strong hands, he untangled Kiti's hands from his body and stepped away from them both, leaving both girls to stand there without explanation and before each other without him between them to inhibit their view of one another.

He attempted to say something. An apology, but it stuck in his throat and wouldn't come out. Instead... he left the building and started for... somewhere else and quickly.

Mio watched as Saemon came back to them and then dashed out of the store. She sheathed her blade, pulled some money out of a pocket and placed it on the closet counter.
"For any damages and a treat for yourself, young one. As for you, my new aquaintence. If you wish to discuss this," by "this" she obviously meant the whole we're dating the same guy thing, "Just send me a missive and I'll meet you where you choose, so long as it's a public place so that neither of us can cause a scene. Or we're at least less likely to do as such."
With a soft smile, directed in Kitanai's way, she dashed out the door after Saemon to hopefully catch him so they could talk and perhaps have a relaxing drink together. She was starting to get a headache, and she wanted to find him before it turned into a migraine yet again. She really needed to figure out why in the world using her talents was giving her migraines.

Kitanai was gorgeous. Kianai was sultry. Kitanai was charismatic. Kitanai was sexy. Kitanai was smooth. There was no way that she thought in her entire life that she would feel such a way. Her arms wrapped around him as time moved slowly. The life she knew slowed down and she took in the way he touched her. It was a familiar feeling. The way his hands smoothed over her like she was delicate glassware that needed to be taken care of. Touched her like the most important and expensive thing he had ever bought. He touched her... Felt her...

And pulled her away.

Ripping her fingers apart and shoved her away from him (probably not, but to her, it felt like it). He moved away, stomping out without even looking back. His girlfriend--fiancée--wife--whoever she was, gave her a look and offered a meeting.

She didn't want to talk to her.

The bakery was left empty with no one but Kitanai and Bo. Everyone had fled in the arise of a mini fight. Kitanai stood in the middle of the bakery, smashed sweets around her and broken shelves, her arms dead by her side and her eyes widely staring at the door where he had left.

Never... no... never was she to feel heartbreak. That wasn't how it worked. She was a heartbreaker, not the heartbroken.

Her eyes stared blankly, a perfect poker face, before it cracked and her face twisted into a horrible mix of pain and horror. Her body began to shake, and the hole in her stomach ripped wider, and the pain in her chest throbbed. She could feel her heart beat in her ears and her head spun as she slowly lowered herself to sit like a dropped rag-doll on the ground. She stared at that door, hoping that he'd come back, without that...woman...and that he'd pick her up and apologize. That he'd come back and tell her he didn't mean it. That he'd thank her.

Or, hell, that he'd come back and hit her.

Something. She stat there, her lips moving slowly and barely audible she whispered over and over, "Come back....come back.... come back..." Ancient tears rolling down her face. She hadn't cried since she was very very young, and they burned her eyes and seemed to leave scars on her high cheekbones and smoothly pale cheeks. "Please....come back..." She whispered, her voice cracking as the tears began to run more profusely.

It hurt. Everything hurt. Her body hurt. Her heart hurt. Her thoughts hurt. Her head hurt. Everything hurt. Her arms where he had ran his hands felt like they were on fire. Her eyes stung and her body was limp as she stared with broken eyes.

"Come back.... come back.... come back..."
