Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

While the time of the Winter King's Festival was one that created prolific turnouts of the most colorful people, this year there had been an extreme circumstance. Uri had received a mission to retrieve the sleigh of someone claiming to be the real Winter King. Not just someone dressed in a suit to match, but the genuine article. Then again he had only limited on the information and the only good intelligence the chuunin got was that he gathered for himself. Sousuke would probably have some answers for him on the matter. That was why he ended up at Keystone Prime, trying to find his colleague, but to no avail he struck out after spending the better part of an hour scouring the research facility for the armor-toting steward. Taking a break and sitting down at an empty work station, he kicked back in a chair pondering what it was he needed to do to fulfill his mission's requirements. There was a downed vehicle in the maelstrom and he needed to bring it back. So few people were even capable of traversing the maelstrom. Uri had the talent, but having to haul back some of inordinate size and weight made it that much harder.

The next half-hour or so the white-haired chuunin brainstormed on how he would handle the task at hand. Rocking back and forth in his chair, he had a moment of imbalance and toppled backwards, landing with a hard smack onto the polished stone floor. As he opened his eyes back up from the incident, he was staring at a pair of chakra-powered propulsion jets that he had discarded due to design flaws. If he could manage to modify them and create a smaller, more portable battery to power them, he could strap them to the sleigh and ride it back to the village.

Assuming the scrapped engines didn't blow him up in the process..

There weren't a ton of other options and this seemed to be important enough to send someone into the diamond dust blender that was the maelstrom so his plan had to work.

After tweaking the design of the engines, he created reinforced harness clamps to secure them to the chassis of the sleigh and had an assistant help him pack them into something that was more manageable. Since he needed them to only perform a short, but powerful burn, he had stripped away a lot of the components that were dead weight. All he had to do was pack it full of highly-concentrated chakra clay and it would do the job in an impressive display. Enormous pack strapped to his back, he bundled up, slapped his goggles on and headed out into the maelstrom. Like the brief had mentioned, it didn't take long to spot. Only requiring about twenty minutes of searching. Even in the maelstrom, the glinting of silver and gold stood out above all else. However, the sand was working swiftly to consume the object. Conjuring numerous black obsidian clones, he hefted the sleigh out from the sinking sands. Once it was on somewhat level ground he began work. Unpacking the toolkit and parts from his satchel, he started rigging the engine system up. While it normally wouldn't have been that hard, the maelstrom was fighting with the chuunin despite his best efforts to keep it moving away from him. After what felt like hours, but was only really a few minutes, he was successful. Tossing the remnants of his pack into the sleigh, he boarded himself and began toggling switches. There was a faint thrumming sounds as the engines activated. Once he thumbed the ignition key a violent explosion propelled him forward and Uri clung onto anything he could for dear life. The sand clawed at him and his clothing despite his natural defenses against it.

While he could see anything, he had do the calculations to get him back to the village. Assuming the winds didn't displace him too much he would be at the gates in less than thirty seconds-

The sleigh and its single occupant slammed into the massive figure that composed their gates structure. Crawling out from the overturned sled, Uri righted himself and saw as gate guards started their way out under the impression they were being attacked. Once they saw the scene most of them laughed, the guard captain just shaking his head and going back inside. With some help he managed to get the vehicle inside. The maelstrom had did some damage and it was a bit dinged up from the first and second crash, it was still in once piece. Uri would just leave out the mention of crashing it again in his report.
