Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This time Kyo had accepted a mission more to his liking, due to the large earthquake that had struck Lightning country, there were people taking advantage of the situation, breaking into homes, burning them down, attack random villagers and extorting them for money. Kyo had accepted a mission to deal with a small local gang that had been breaking into the homes of a local neighborhood since the earthquake. None of them had attended the academy, so it wasn’t expected to be a very dangerous mission, which was why they had allowed Kyo to take it, even though he was still just an academy student. The only thing that bothered the boy at all, was that he was to bring in the culprits alive, though he supposed that they didn’t want to punish them so severely, though Kyo knew that academy students had been punished more severely than these gang members would be. In the end though, it wasn’t his choice and he was doing this more for getting his name out there and the money than to get the experience he wanted. Of course with the mission being what it was, he had collected a few special items he normally wouldn’t use so that he could easily disable all four of the targets.

Kyo had meet a man who would provide him with a folder on the gang, it wouldn’t be too hard to find them, but the local villagers had been able to take pictures of the criminals as they exited their target buildings items in hand. While not as useful as someone using the snapshot jutsu, it was still far better than the nothing he would have to go on if they hadn’t caught them on camera. There were four of them, a larger man with green hair at least in his late twenties that from the various pictures and notations seemed to be in charge of the group, a pair of identical twins in their late teens or early twenties who had dirty blond hair and always appeared to be smiling and finally a small boy with dark red hair, braces and a scar on his right forearm that stood out, no older than Kyo himself. It even pointed out what area of Cronopolis that they retreated to, though they didn’t have an exact building. It seemed that the villagers had taken matters as far as they could in their own hands, and had made the job exceedingly easier than it would have been if Kyo had to do all the legwork himself. He was thankful for it, as it meant it was just a matter of watching the area for one of the four to appear, accosting them and then moving on to the others, though according to the file, the twins were always together, which makes a smooth would take down trickery to achieve.

Kyo decided that moving by the rooftops to the designated area would be best, at least while he was performing surveillance on the area. With nothing more than a dismissive focus he channeled the chakra required into his feet and simply jogged up the side of a nearby building before heading off towards Cronopolis and the proper area. Leaping from building to building Kyo kept an eye on the streets below, he had not taken the folder with him, instead he had used Snapshot jutsu to keep their appearances and the other pertinent information readily and easily available to him. He saw no sign of the group, either together or individually as he traveled from the Seki district where he had meant his contact, of course he doubted that they would move so openly about the Seki district or even be in the district if they were not actively engaged in a theft. As he neared his destination he paused on the edge of the roof, overlooking the streets as he reran what he had recorded with snapshot, all the information pointed to the area he was near, he just needed to find a good vantage point on an intersection.

It took Kyo sometime before he found a suitable location

And he crouched on the edge and watched the people go about their business, ignorant of his presence above them. There was a crowd that had gathered and a man was for whatever reason riding a horse through the city streets with a large group of men guarding him, Kyo had no idea who this man was and didn’t particularly care as he was more interested in looking at the people that had gathered to see this big shot of Cronopolis. As he was scanning the crowd his eyes were eventually drawn to a green haired man that matched the pictures that he had been given, with one of the quarry in sight Kyo began to prepare himself, he would follow the man when he left the crowd. He watched as the man moved through the crowd, picking the pockets of those too preoccupied with the passing group to notice that they were being robbed. The boy didn’t feel bad for the people, if they were so oblivious of such partly technique then they deserved what they got. He would have done what the man was doing, better and faster than he was.

Kyo simply tracked the man and his progress, it took some time, he continued to work until the crowd began to disperse after the man on the horse and his entourage had passed through the area. At least he was dedicated to his craft. Kyo moved as the man did thought he streets, though he was on the roof overlooking the area. It always surprised him that more people didn’t watch the rooftops, especially when they knew that it was a favored location to gather information from or hide, then again most of the people below didn’t have to worry about such things he supposed. It didn’t take much time for the man to reach the small building that Kyo assumed was their base of operations as the small red haired boy greeted the man cheerfully coming from another direction with a wave and smile as they both entered the building. “There goes the idea that they had coerced the youngest into working with them. He is just as guilty as the rest.” With the knowledge that at least two of his quarry where inside he quickly made his way to street level and around the side in the alley that was next to the building.

It didn’t take long for Kyo to find a window that was left open, it seemed that they were totally ignorant of them being hunted, secure in the belief that their thefts were petty enough to avoid the attention of Kumo’s Shinobi, regardless of how unfounded those beliefs were. Kyo crept carefully through the window, it lead into a room that was full of various items, silver candelabras, actual silverware, golden cups and other items of excess that had conceivably came from the homes of the well to do inhabitants of the Seki District. There was even some jewelry, diamond and pearl necklaces, emerald earrings and other valuable things simply lying about at random, possibly resting where they had been tossed. It seemed that they intended to keep the things for some time before selling it as to avoid suspicion, which meant that they weren’t quite as ignorant as Kyo had first summarized. “I need to be more careful than I had previously anticipated. Perhaps there is more to these thieves than I had previously thought.” He crept carefully to avoid the wooden boards creaking and growing under his weight as he made his way to the door leading to the hallway, he listened for the sound of the others and felt as well for their footsteps at the doorway, no one was In the hall outside the door, and he couldn’t feel anyone walking on the floor that he was on. That meant they were gathered on the second floor, “I’ll simply come up the wall beside the stairs, no sense in exiting and entering from up top as it will give them an easy way to run. This way I can block of their exit first.” He thought to himself as he carefully made his way down the hallway towards the stairs at the end of the hallway he was in.

Kyo would quickly perform several hand seals, activating a jutsu he had learned to keep himself hidden before once more focusing chakra into his feet just as effortlessly as he had before. He then began to walk up the wall beside the stairs to avoid having to carefully climb them and eliminate it as a possibly alerting those upstairs. As he neared the next floor Kyo just poked his head over, watching, listening and feeling to ensure that no one was going to see him and raise an alarm. He froze completely still when he saw one of the twin brothers sitting in a chair facing the stairs, though it quickly became apparent that the boy was sleeping, but with him there it meant that all four had gathered in the building, and that he could end this mission easier than he had thought. “What a lucky break for me. I can finish up all in one go.” Kyo slowly crept up the wall, keeping a watchful eye on the slumbering twin that stood before him as he carefully placed his steps so as not to disturb anything. He made his way to the ceiling of the building, walking upside down towards the boy slumbering in the chair, he could either take him out now, or try and deal with the others who would most likely be awake and aware. “Best to keep my mission needs down and do it now, quick and quiet like.” Kyo took one look about the area and listened intently for a moment before he was satisfied that they would be left alone for the duration of what he needed to do. He pulled the syringe filled with a strong tranquilizer he had acquired specially for this mission before he dropped to the ground directly next to the sleeping twin silently. He quickly slapped a hand against the teenager’s mouth while at the same time injecting the tranquilizer directly into his carotid artery. The boy’s eyes fluttered open for just a moment only to slid back shut, his breathing quickly returned to the deep even breathing of a sleeper.

Kyo was satisfied with his work, adjusted the teen’s arms back so that they were folded on his chest once more before he quickly walked back up the wall and on to the roof. “One down, four to go.” Kyo crouched and crept along the ceiling heading towards a room with a door that had been pushed shut, though it was still open by about an inch. He leaned down so that he could look through the door, inside he saw the twin of the boy he had just taken down laying in a bed with his arm thrown across his eyes laying on a bed in the room. The room its self was covered in clothing and other items, a massive mess were someone walking on the floor wouldn’t be able to avoid stepping on something and making some kind of noise. Luckily for Kyo, he wasn’t walking on the floor. Kyo gave the door a tentative push just to see how much noise it would make, expecting it to creak loudly as it always did in books and on TV. Luckily this was real life rather than a fantasy realm and the door slid open with nary a sound. With the increased view of the room Kyo could see that the teen was alone in the room, it seemed he had found them during a mid-day nap. “Great luck so far, hopefully the rest of the mission is this easy.” Kyo thought to himself as he crawled into the room, pushing the door gently shut behind him so as to obscure anyone’s passing glance. He then treaded along to the wall next to the teen’s bed and walked down it, drawing another syringe filled with tranquilizer. “Don’t worry, this won’t hurt much.” Kyo thought to himself with a grin as he leaned over and repeated the previous action he had taken with the teen’s brother once more. “Half way done, only two to go. Then it’s time to report in and get the loot recovered.” Kyo thought happily as he walked back up the wall to the ceiling, crossed the room and paused listening once again before the door for anyone that was outside before opening and heading for the one room that he hadn’t been in on this floor as of yet.

Unfortunately, this door was shut all the way, and a tentative push on it did nothing. He would have to open it and enter the room to find what was behind the door. Dropping silently to the ground Kyo waited a moment, before reaching out with his left hand, another syringe in his right as he slowly inched open the door. On the other side of the door Kyo found the boy sitting in front of a Television working on starting up a video, the sound of the video entering the VCR covered the small squeak made by the door as it edge ever more open. The red haired boy meanwhile had flopped down on a large blue beanbag chair, his video started and was blurry at first before the tracking kicked in and cleared it up for him. Kyo ignored what was on the TV as he scanned the rest of the room, he didn’t see the large green haired man which meant he had missed him downstairs as there was nowhere else for him to be. He quickly moved across the room, striking the child in the side of the head hard with the palm of one of his hands before striking home with the syringe into his neck, while it was unnecessary as he was already unconscious, Kyo didn’t want him waking up any time soon and slipping away. The body hit the ground with a thud as Kyo turned and sprinted out of the room and down the stairs, he only had one target left, and he was tired of playing nice. While they had to be alive, they didn’t specify in what condition they had to be, simply breathing would finish the mission well enough. As Kyo pounded down the stairs he saw the man with his head out the door way of the room that Kyo had entered the home from, with a look of startled surprise the man slammed the door shut and a moment latter Kyo could hear the breaking of glass signifying the man had leapt through the window, recognizing Kyo for what he was on sight and fleeing immediately, not that it would help him much.

Kyo barreled through the door using a simple jump kick to smash through the door, the dynamic entry wasn’t quite needed, but Kyo didn’t care at this point, he had embraced the bloodlust he felt coursing through his veins and a measly door was not going to stand in the way of his quarry. He dashed to the room and leapt feet first through the window a wicked grin on his face. He saw his quarry turning the corner to the right, running for all that he was worth, though not having been trained in the same manner as the shinobi had it was of little use, Kyo gained on the fleeing man his toothy grin spread across his face as each moment brought him closer and closer to the man’s fleeing back and terrified face. In a few short moments Kyo leaped through the air, landing on the man’s back with a thud knocking him to the ground, while Kyo could have done as he had for the other three and use the syringe full of tranquilizer, he instead opted for beating the man. He smashed his face into the ground twice to stop the man’s struggles, then hopped up and kicked him hard in the ribs, a satisfying crack sounded loud enough for shocked passerby’s to hear, he then stomped on the man’s hand twice, shattering the bones before kicking the mewling man hard in the hip and then going to work on his legs and feet. It wasn’t until the man could be said to have little chance of walking again that Kyo stopped, he gave the man the tranquilizer and the sweet relief of unconsciousness, lifted him onto his shoulders and brought him back to the building he had fled, up the stairs and set him against the wall next to his first victim. "This was more fun than I had thought it would be." Kyo spoke for the first time since he had taken the mission as he worked at binding their hands and legs before collecting the others and tying them up as well. It didn’t take long before he was able to call in, the mission was a success, though they would need medical treatment for one of the runners.
