Such a long time had it been since Touma had taken anything a resembling a vacation, it was as if he'd saved up all of his vacation days for this trip alone (if vacation days were a thing for shinobi). The trip had started as work, but he was certainly taking his sweet time in returning to Cloud. It wasn't like him, someone so no-nonsense usually, but for all he knew this could be the last time he'd leave the country he so very rarely departed from. At some advice from his friend Ayumu, he'd decided to take some extra time for himself, just this once. That said, it was time finally for him to head home. He'd gotten a ticket on the train bound for Lightning and was well into the trip now. An overnight journey, the sun had already set for the day and night had arrived. Many passengers were sleeping soundly and perhaps Touma would too, soon. For now, he gazed out the window thoughtfully. Soon, he'd be crossing the border. After that, there would be numerous stops but it was certainly the fastest way to get home these days. Truly, modern wonders never ceased.

Indeed, soon enough Touma himself gave way to the drowsy feelings brought about by watching the passing nighttime scenery. Soon enough, he had fallen asleep. A wonder, this train travel. When once before sleeping would mean stopping for the night, now he could simply let the metal tube rocket him across the land as he slumbered peacefully. He missed the border passing and by the time he awoke again they were clear through Bear and into his home country. The home stretch.
