Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It's not about killing the mark in this assassination, but it's about sending a message. The client is a wealthy business tycoon who wanted to deliver a message to his competitors about what would happen if they were to be crossed. The fact that these two, Nozomi and Maru, were on this job was a bit overkill for a single mark. The only thing that made this job a bit different from the others is that the assassination of their mark is to be, intentionally, made public. Not only did they want their mark killed, but they want the news to cover it; publicized to ad nauseum. Their job wasn't to only kill the man, but to establish perceptual dominance for the client's company.

The smoke-stack of the train could be seen coming over the horizon as Nozomi, dressed in an extremely covering outfit could be seen upon the back of a horse. She turned her head to look towards Maru for a moment, hoping he actually wore something that would hide what he normally looked like. If he showed up in another schoolgirl outfit, she would probably plug him in the head and finish the mission without him. She did warn him that the two needed to be SERIOUS during actual Merces Letifer work. Dressing as a damn schoolgirl because of his patronizing weapon-spirit isn't going to help things.

"You see that, Maru? The train is heading towards us. Gear up and get ready to roll," she said as she reached to her hip to pull out her revolver, unclasping the cylinder to ensure she had a full cylinder of ammunition. After confirming her ammo, she reached down to her left leg to feel the two kunai, each with magical properties of return by her. Strapped to the side of the horse was her Anti-Material rifle. Maru was also given a horse just for the sake of travel and getting onto this oncoming train. As the train started to come into view over the horizon, a group of horsemen could be seen escorting the train. Clearing her throat, she pulled out her binoculars and looked into them to count the number of horsemen. "There are 5 horsemen. Two riflemen and..." she said as she tried to get a bead on the other three horsemen. "I can't tell what the other three are holding," she said before putting the binoculars away.

She holstered the Peacekeeper revolver and reached down to pull out her Anti-Material Rifle. She chambered a round and stared down the scope of her rifle. "I'm going to take a shot at these riflemen and then we're going to ride out. You ready, Maru?" she asked as she trained her sight upon one of the riflemen.

Since it was about sending a message, their client wanted him and his beloved signature weapon to not only kill the man but make sure they had to make sure that it was known. Now for anyone that knew Maru, he is usually the center of attention in one way or another. Sometimes it's because of his unique abilities, maybe his appearance, but most of the time it usually be because he usually yells to get his point across. As Nozomi looked over to see what Maru was wearing this time, the rogue was dressed as a multi colored jester with a white eye mask. A small blue cape flowing in the breeze, and if you looked on his utility belt you would see a fancy looking M crest on the buckle. “Mardox, The Masked Fool and his ravishing Kensei spirit gazed into the distance at the oncoming train smoke coming from the horizon. Mardox smirks, when he first joined the Merces he thought it would be similar to Anbu life but people were paying for him to actually commit crimes.” He narrated to himself like he was in some kind of comic book, though in his narration he didn't even mention Nozomi. “As the fool looked, his living non-possessed item partner spoke to him. He listens to her talk for a moment, nearly forgetting that the living one was even around.” He snapped his head towards Nozomi.

She pretty much told him the obvious, the train was coming and to get geared up. Maru reached his hand to his face to pull out his signature weapon Kawaii from underneath his mask. He didn't really have to load her up since she more or less could reload herself, as long as she was bonded to him his weapon will never go empty. He looked at his horse then put his a hand on his chin, musket still in hand as he studied the animal before Nozomi said something about that there were 5 horsemen escorting the train. Two of them being riflemen but the other three she couldn't tell if they were armed or not. When she offered to take out the riflemen, the rogue nodded. “As ready as I'll ever be.” He said then began climbing into his horse to try something he always had wanted to try, the rogue getting on the horses back he finally got the chance to do that thing he always wanted to do.

Once he was seated on his steed, the rogue placed his hands on his hips then gave a pose allowing his small cape and his hair he shaped as a jester hat to blow I'm the wind. Letting the happy jiggle of bells ring from the bells he attached to the ends of his colorful locks. Then he realized something. “Uhhh Nozomi. These horses ain't gonna flip out when they hear your cannon thing go off right?” asked the clown.

Of course he dressed like a damn clown, why wouldn't he. She told him to take these missions seriously. Their job was to just kill the target, not make jokes or strike terror into people's hearts. She, herself, wasn't very fond of clowns; she found theme unsettling, unnerving, and unnecessary when it came to an assassination mission. If he dressed like that again in another mission, she's going to find herself a new partner regardless of how skilled he may be with a sword. Assassins are assassins. Assassins aren't clowns. Sure, one could say 'Assassins are scary. Clowns are scary. Perfect fit, right?' No! Not a perfect fit. One is getting the job done and the other is screwing around. Either way, what's done is done and she's going to need to have a word with Maru after this mission has been completed. That fool.

She was too busy right now, scoped in to look back towards Maru as he struck a pose, but asked a question about the horse. "My codename for this mission is Raven. Use it, Mardox," she said before tracking the rifleman with her scope. She adjusted the windage and elevation on her rifle. "They shouldn't. These WERE their horses after all so they should be quite used to the sound of gunfire," she mentioned as she followed one of the riflemen from about three miles away. Thankfully their higher-elevated perch gave her access to view them pretty easily. "If they do wig out, leave them and hoof it," she said in a matter-of-fact manner. The horses were really only for show (and probably for a bit of fun) but they weren't essential for the assassination, itself. They might be useful for hauling the loot back to the client though.

"On my mark, Mardox. 3," she said as she released the safety on her rifle while still concentrating on the target. "2," she said as she took a deep breath in and held it. She counted the 1 silently before pulling the trigger. The sound of lightning could be heard as she pulled the trigger with a bright muzzle flash. The bullet shot straight down towards one of the riflemen and before they even knew what was going on, one of the riflemen's head exploded, leaving a cloud of red-dust flying in the air. The body no-longer had a discernible head. "Mardox, go! Keep your headset on," she said as she pulled back the bolt and went to get her aim on the other rifleman.

The horsemen seemed confused about what just happened but were not happy with the fact that one of their own just had their heads exploded. It took a few moments but then the sound of thunder could be heard several moments after the kill. "Shit! Sniper! Protect the train!" one of the horsemen said. "George, check the ridge-line over there," the man said pointing over to where Nozomi and Maru were at. As the rifleman raised his weapon up to look up at the scope, his head met a similar fate of being turned to fine red-dust. After taking out the other riflemen, she pulled the bolt back to eject the empty casing and loaded in a new one. She aimed her eyes down the scope to see one of the men forming handseals. She took aim at that one man and fired. The bullet traveled only to get bounced off of some invisible force.

She put her hands upon her headset and spoke into it. "They are using a forcefield to deflect shots. Make sure you take them out up close. I'm on my way. My rifle isn't good for this engagement. Keep an eye on the one with the red-bandanna, he is their support."

"Oh.” the masked fool said, it was a good thing that they were used to gunfire so he would have to worry about being flipped over then trampled on. So understanding what he was supposed to do, while she fired at the rifle men he was supposed to get close to them so before he went about heading off he began to weave handseals so he could be a bit more stealthy when he came up to them. With his handseals finally completed he was able to cloak himself and his steed inside of a Shadow Garb so he could mask all traces of his presence, including his chakra before letting the black flames make it look like he was melting into the ground but he was just allowing him to appear as a shadow himself on the ground. Nozomi was able to see the now Maru who looked like a 2d shadow fiery clown on the ground sitting on a shadow steed then two dimly glowing eyes opened from the shadow outline then it raised its hand then waved to let Nozomi know that he was ready.

On your mark…..get set…. YA! The 2d shadow horse cried as it speed off with Maru on its back from the crack of gunfire, then one of the rifleman bit the dust. The masked fool smirked, spreading his aura of despair to try to make the men more paranoid than they already were then another rifleman bit the dust as Maru traveled through the shadows unnoticed. When he finally got to a good enough spot he held his mask to hear Nozomi's voice coming from his built in headset in his mask. ‘So they using barriers now?’ he thought to himself. “Thanks, I'll get 'im.” He said before hopping off his horse then upon leaving the horses shadow garb had dispersed making the animals seem to appear out of nowhere when the black flames disappeared! The horse whinnied then began to run off as Maru tiptoed as he approached his target who hid himself inside of a invisible forcefield. He could hear the voice of his Kensei spirit instructing him on exactly what to do.’I think you should try taking one out with an attack that bypasses barriers just to be safe..’ though she wasn't physically manifested his Kensei spirit was able to see what was going on through her wielders eyes, perhaps it only affected things from a range, maybe only projectile attacks, they couldn't take any chances.

So Maru channeled his golden chakra into his fist, then leapt out of the shadows, rocketing at his target at a inhuman speed. “Fist of Virtue Kindness!” Catching his target off guard, the fool who hopped out of the shadows almost like a jack-in-the-box hit his target in the solar plexus, knocking his target off his horse then sent the horseman flying backwards before hammering into the man's mind with genjustu to make the horseman believe that his neck was broken before he used his momentum to grab another horseman who was close enough to the one he just too out to twirl in the air for a moment then moved his chest down hard with the man clenched in his hug to use the second horseman's head as a landing cushion then cartwheeled into standing while the second victims head was buried underground. “Welp four down, now all that's left is Mr headband.” the fool spoke, this was just like how he was doing mercenary work back when he was on the road without a village.

Nozomi rode down, whipping the horse's bridles and dug her spurs into the side of the horse to hurry and giddy-up. She beat-feet all the way down the ridge and towards where the train was. She looked towards Maru for a moment and clicked her headset. "I'm going to board the train, you should do the same," she said as she turned towards the speeding train and moved her way towards it, having the horse move parallel with the speeding vehicle. Once she started moving at about the same speed as the train, she adjusted herself to stand upon the horse before jumping onto the moving train. She used chakra upon her hands and feet to keep her attached before she used them to climb up, finding herself on top of the moving train.

She clicked on her headset, taking a knee as she stood upon the train. "I'm on. Ditch him and get on board, I'll deal with him," she said before whipping up a few handseals, causing the ground beneath the man to open up before the earth swallowed him up, closing the ground beneath him with the sound of rocks sliding across itself. Now that the final guy was taken care of, she waited for Maru to board the train before proceeding. She met back up with Maru and brandished her Peacemaker revolver before giving him a nod. "Nobody else needs to die. Just the mark, do you understand? But if they want to get rowdy inside, just incapacitate them. Remember, we have to send a message. This isn't a normal run-of-the-mill assassination. I swear to the gods this is the last job I'm doing with you if you aren't going to take this shit seriously," she said firmly, the sound of disappointment and anger evident in her voice.

She crept over towards one of the breaks in the train cars and jumped down towards the platform leading towards the door. She waited for Maru to follow before placing her hand upon the knob of the door. "You know how to do stick-ups right? Let's pretend that's what this is. But remember, ONLY kill the mark," she said before doing a countdown. She counted from 3 to 1 before opening the door to the train-car that their subject should be on.

The masked fool was skipping along when he heard Nozomi telling him that he should get on board the train, the eyes on his mask turned to two wide circles black from hearing this and the Masked Fool began to run for the train on foot since he ditched his horse. He watched as the guy that she warned him about was sucked underground giving him no real reason to go after him, now he just needed to get on to the train. Maru aimed his hand at the roof, making his kawaii gun materialized so he could shoot a wire at the still moving train so he could use his signature weapon as a grappling hook, zipping his way to where Nozomi had entered through then did a tuck and roll then pulled the trigger on his musket again to pull back the retractable cable back into the barrel. Standing up straight, the clown looked out watching the world passing by while the train moved along, the fool poking his head out of the opening he came from to let the bells on his head jingle happily looking backwards. “Hey I can see where I've been.” He said, looking back to Nozomi again while she explained the rules to him. Basically from what he got from it was that he could mangle a few people if they started to put up a fight but they could only kill the target which possibly means…. No Omni-Flashing anyone since that attack would kinda blow the train up if he used it. But the part about him not taking this whole assassination dealo seriously kinda threw him off guard.

“Whatdayamean? I am pretty serious.” the fool said, though his face looked kinda dopey with two big round black eye holes just looking back along with an expression that only someone with low intelligence would make. Regardless, he didn't dwell on the topic for too long since they did have a job to do and bickering won't do any good so he listened to what Nozomi wanted him to do next. Basically he was supposed to pretend that this was a stickup which wasn't a big deal for him and with his Clown Supervillain costume on it was a heck of a lot easier for the fool to figure out what he was going to say. “Don't worry, I got this.” He said, then began to get himself ready by pulling out some fake explosive notes to stick a few on himself. Once he felt prepared he got ready for Nozomi to open the door for him on the count of three. Maru cleared his throat. 3. Maru began to feel his clown character. 2 A smile crept on his face and his demonic aura began to spread. 1…..

As the door was swung open that had the target was Maru, with great enthusiasm, cartwheeled his way into the train-car. At first, the people on it was confused thinking that some kind of show was about to happen, but when the clown stood up right he generated his musket out of thin air like magic. Spreading his arms out he happily announced “COME ONE COME ALL, NEITHER BIG OR SMALL, SEE THE BEST CRIME CLOWN OF THEM ALL! THE ONE AND ONLY MARDOX THE MASKED FOOL!” the clown laughed hysterically already seeing a someone going for a weapon and the lunatic wagged his finger. “Tsk tsk tsk. I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see, I got these weird bombs on me that are rigged to blow, plus it'll trigger off other bombs blowing this whole train up the smithereens!.... Of course, going out with a bang would make for a great performance.” the clown nudged the nearest person to him like they were his good friend. Irritated the train riders knew that this guy was a complete psychopath, seeing the paper bombs on him, he was probably telling the truth and they weren't ready to go into that goodnight just yet.

“What the hell do you want!” One said. Maru chuckled, putting a foot on one of the seats, then placed a black painted claw like a finger on the passenger who first asked the questions forehead. “I'm glad you ask kiddo!” He spoke like the passenger was a child, then stood up straight then raised his finger. “You see everyone, I am a performer and performances doesn't come cheap yanno. I even brought my lovely little assistant Raging Raven and she needs to get paid too for our little show.” He said, thinking that they would catch on to what he was doing here but he heard another voice who seemingly didn't get the message. “That still doesn't explain what do you want.” A vein popped on the side of the clowns forehead, becoming irritated with the lack of intelligence that the passengers were showing since he explained what he wanted as clear as day. Looked like he had to dumb why he was down here for the simpletons. “I suppose you think I'm here for your drinks? Maybe I'm here for your women? Food? Socks? Baseball cards? Toys?– I'M ROBBING YOU, YOU NINNY!” the clown yelled, waving the musket around as he spoke. “I'm taking anything valuable here. AND for the heck of it I or my assistant is going to take a life here. Might be all of you, might be half, but I'm 200% guaranteeing you all that at least one of you aren't leaving this train breathing….” of course he was bluffing on the killing everyone part, he just did it for the dramatics. He was a Supervillain after all, or at least pretending to be one.

As Maru stared the heist, Nozomi's first reaction to his cartwheeling and showmanship was 'Too much' as his theatrics was more for the silver-screen instead of real life. But if these people are more than willing to bite off of Maru's 'thespian talents' then that's all that mattered. Their job was to draw out the mark from hiding; a stick-up like this was more than enough to cause the man to either hide or make a scene in order to escape. Either way, it was time for the two to go fishing. She popped out behind Maru, holding a revolver in her hand and pointed it nowhere in particular; finger was on he trigger though she had no intention of using it on innocent bystanders. This was part of the act. Even the whole 'Raging Raven' bit was part of the act. She felt compelled to lower her weapon and look at Maru with a 'wtf' expression; though that would fall on blind-eyes due to her mask.

'Raging Raven... really?' she thought to herself as she looked around. Nozomi clicked on her headset and spoke in a soft tone that only Maru could hear in his headset. "Don't forget, this is make-believe. We aren't actually going to steal their stuff, Mardox," she said in hushed tones. "Remember, we're here for the mark. Don't get carried away," she continued as she pushed her way through the crowd, cleared her throat and turned to one of the more important-looking passengers and pulled out a picture of their mark and showed it to him.

"We've been wronged by this guy, ya hear!?" she said in her gruffiest, most country-sounding accent. If she didn't wear a mask, she'd spit some chew into the nearest spittoon. "Have ya seen this man?" she asked as the man nervously held his hands up, trying to create as much space as he could while shaking his head furiously. She turned her head towards Mardox/Maru for a moment. "Seems like these losers haven't heard about the guy. Maybe we should kill them all for lying after we kill the guy," she said in a hoarse voice. The whole killing of these people was still part of the act the two were playing.

Nozomi stepped back a bit and pointed her revolver into the air and fired two shots through the roof of the train. "That'll get his attention and it should get all of yours! Have any of you seen this man? Tell me the truth or you'll follow him straight to hell!" she shouted out before a woman, holding her child in her arms shouted out. "Two cars back! Just leave us alone!" she shouted out. After the woman admitted the location, at least that's what Nozomi believed to be the guy's location, she pointed her gun at the woman and her child. "You better be telling the truth lady or I'll blow your brains out in front of your boy!" she said in her most villainous voice possible.

The fact that she said that made her feel nauseous as that was something that actually traumatized her in her past. Her hands started to shake as she held the gun, but due to how stirred up the woman was, she nodded her head and shouted. "It's the truth! I swear!" she said before the child started to cry. Quickly lowering the revolver, she turned to look towards Maru and, without a word, made her way towards the back of the car and pushed her way through the car-divider and into the next car. She didn't like doing that and she started to panic at the thought of actually doing that. It felt wrong and it made her feel no better than the scum that did that to her those many years ago.

He heard Nozomi speaking to him through the headset to tell him that they weren't actually going to steal their stuff which was quite obvious, guess he kinda gave the vibe that he actually wanted to steal from them which he gave himself an A+ on his acting. When Nozomi, known now as the Raging Raven began to talk she kinda sounded like those bounty hunters from the western movies and she also lived up to the nickname that he gave her. Knowing that they were just acting Maru's hair shot up in excitement when he heard that they were going to kill everyone after they get to the guy they were after or did a pretty good job at pretending to be excited. “Oh really!” said the clown. “Make sure you get em’ in the head. Use explosive rounds so them skulls pop! Give the term mind blown a new meaning” the clown began to laugh though the two shots into the train roof was a bit much. It might alerted the guy then me might book it, but he would most likely have to jump off the train if he ran so he didn't say anything. No way their target could escape them could he?

His thoughts was interrupted when he saw a man beginning to stand when Nozomi now trained her weapon on a woman with a young child, the rogue with a sinister smile shot a glance at the man and when their eyes met he made the man see the a horriying image of his death. Maru's cursed reapers gaze paralyzed the would be hero with fear, and the clown pushed the man back into his seat then pressed his musket to paralyzed man's chest. “One more outburst like that and I'm blowing this train up!” He said, the rogue was pretty convincing that he would make good on his threat. After Nozomi got the information that he needed, the rogue then played it off as him being excited. “Oh! So the birthday boy is two cars back! Goodie-goodie-goodie!” the clown clapped. Though Maru looked at her threatening the mother after she gave Nozomi what she wanted was too much the woman seemed to be telling the truth at least. He trusted the fact that she wouldn't actually kill the woman since Nozomi helped little orphan children, plus she seemed to assert the whole 'We are only here for the target’ dealio like twice already. He didn't know why she got all quiet all of the sudden, it's not like she was going to do it plus the child was a sissy like that adopted kid he knew for crying. Guess she just wanted to show him how to act like a true villain, he was even starting to get goosebumps from the awkward silence in the air.

Maru walked where the woman sat when Nozomi began walking to the next cart. Not even breaking character since the rogue clearly knew Nozomi wouldn't actually do what she had threatened. “Thank you Mrs. Snitch and Kid-Sissy for your help, now let's go find the birthday boy.” the clown flexed his small cape, using his weapon like to was a cane as he moved with a bounce in his step letting Nozomi take the lead to the next cart. Too bad he couldn't… oh wait he actually could since his Kensei spirit can talk to people without being seen! Maru politely thought asked his Kensei Spirit to tell Nozomi good job and that he gives her acting an A+ Kawaii however didn't exactly do as she wanted when he allowed her channel her chakra into his headset to speak to Nozomi so he didn't have to speak. 'Maru wanted me to tell you good job at acting violently unhinged and that he wishes that he had your talent of acting like a chimp.’ the spirit hissed, sour from Maru having the nerve enough to ask her to manifest just to speak to Nozomi.

Nozomi moved towards the divider between the train cars and quickly moved outside. There, the train car links could be seen with only a set of guard-rails protecting them from falling off of the speeding vessel. She closed the door to the previous car behind her and held herself, slouching over in pain. Her body shook over what she just did. She is hating this job more than anything else. She could have chosen someone else to do that to, but to have to do that to a woman and her child hit her too close to home. She did everything she could to keep herself from screaming out-loud. Her post-traumatic stress disorder was kicking in, flooding her brain with memories of seeing her parents killed in front of her, being kidnapped with her twin sister, and then her twin sister getting blown away due to her ineptitude with a rifle; all happening at the age of six.

'Get it together, Kozue. You're on a job. Don't let something like this bother you. Focus on the objective, Kozue. There is a bad man that needs to be killed, Kozue,' she continued this self pep-talk in her head before Maru popped out. Maru popping out of the train car snapped her back to reality, standing upright and mission-ready. "It was nothing," she said in her usually demure voice before crossing the train's linkage and finding her way to the other train-car, poking her head to look through the glass of the connecting door. Inside, she saw nothing but armed men, all dressed in the same green outfit. Upon seeing this, she knelt down and turned to look towards Maru, hoping he'd kneel down too. The space was a bit cramped, but they can't afford to be seen right now.

She turned on her mic so she could speak quietly, even if Maru was directly in front of her. "Up ahead are probably the mark's goons. We need to make our way around and disconnect this car, separating the mark from his goons. Don't do anything stupid and stay quiet," she said as she raised a single finger up to where her lips would be. With that, she quietly vaulted over the guard-rails and concentrated chakra onto her hands and feet and climbed up to the top of the train car without making too much noise. She had to tell Maru to not do anything stupid, because he'd probably run in and fight everyone in that car. That kind of a disturbance would just make their jobs ten-times more difficult.

While she was on the roof of the train car, she started to make her way backwards towards the rear of the line of trains. Nozomi paused for a moment to turn around. There was a tunnel coming up. Enough time for her to make it to the next set of couplings and drop down. She continued on the top of the train, hoping Maru would follow her.

Once Maru made it out of the car, the fool was starting to wonder if Nozomi was doing alright since she kinda broke character a bit when she gotten all silent. Though it was kinda effective in intimidating what he believed we're regular civilians since it kinda left a little tension in the air, especially when the child began crying. “Hey you kinda went quiet back there.” he stated, Nozomi assured him that it was nothing Maru peered over Nozomi's shoulder to see if there were people in the next car and there was. A lot of people but unlike the people in the last car these guys were all armed… all of them wearing the same ugly looking green uniform. It took a moment for Maru to actually kneel down because he was thinking to him how ugly the green that they had on was, realizing he should be down he quickly got on one knee to hear out what Nozomi had planned. Basically this car was full of their hit's goons, people he hired to protect him most likely. So the logical thing to do would be to separate the guy from goons, seems easy enough for him though he didn't know why they had to separate the car though..

Now Maru has a habit of over thinking, as Nozomi went up the latter he was thinking that the lady might have lied because who would not be surrounded by their guards? Why would he put guards on this side rather than being in the car with them? Then he imagined when they separated the car that the hit would be riding away scott free while they searched to find empty carts. He could be wrong but what if…. What if… besides they needed to send a message anyway so fighting a few goons or two wouldn't hurt would it? While Nozomi went up, Maru being the over achiever that he was did the exact opposite of what Nozomi told him to do and went inside of the car. Maru opened the door so hard it slammed into a wall hard then Maru pointed at the goons with an accusatory long, black nail and let loose a hardy. “Your outfits look like vomit!” Before launching himself at one of goons then kicked one of the men, sending the goon crashing upwards to the roof of the car causing a huge dent to form in the metal before the man fell back down.

Maru saw a man lunged at him wielding a katana, the katana wilder made a quick swipe at the clown but the rogue used his musket to shoot at the attack to knock the blade off course before using his free hand to land a hard punch to the man's solar plexus followed to back the man up before firing his musket, the round he used against the katana wielder sent electricity to paralyzed him and the clown grabbed the man to use him as a human shield to block some gunfire coming from a revolver wielder. The revolver wielder firing three shots at the clown but unfortunately hit the katana wielder in his back as Maru charged at the revolver wielder to throw the katana wielder at the man with the revolver, and when the katana wielder fell due to the dead weight of the katana wielder Maru focused his chakra into his right hand to produce a large enough Rasengan two smash into three men who were at his right side through the train wall. Debris as well as three bodies flew out with some people who were unfortunately standing too close to the edge had gotten sucked out then rolled out of the train. If Nozomi hadn't of came in to help take out a few who Maru neglected to take out who would ultimately end up getting back up to fight the rouge again then Maru would just fight his way all the way to the other side where the last person who was not unconscious was in Maru's choke hold. The rogues outfit now was in tatters due to some of the subborn ones that got up to attack him again only to be put back down by Maru or maybe even Nozomi if she got down on time, his wounds slowly began to heal from his regeneration.

Crack…

Maru had accidentally broken the last goons neck, Maru's eyes widen then he released the poor guy who slumped to the ground then Maru looked around the car now riddled with people both dead and unconscious, he didn't know if there had been anyone he didn't fight but he was pretty proud for holding his own against the goons, eventually he opened the door to the opposite end of the car that he fought to where Nozomi told them. “Well these men aught to spread the word that our guy shouldn't be messed with.” the rouge giggled them rubbed his hands together. “Wait till those civilians see the mess I made. I could imagine they will flip out!” his rant was interrupted by hearing a few of the men he thought were unconscious begin to groan in pain, he wondered if it would be safe to leave them alive. Maybe Nozomi will tell him if she wanted him to break their necks or something, he didn't want to throw them off the train because no one would see them.

Of course Nozomi went quiet back there. She had to relive the trauma from her past but being on the other-side of the gun; the wrong-side of the gun. She felt no better than the bastard that ruined her life so many years ago, the one who took EVERYTHING away from her. She could have grown up to be happy, have a lot of friends, go on normal shinobi missions, and enjoy the simple things in life. Because of something similar to what she did to that mother and child, she grew up cold and distant from others, taking solace in taking lives of those she doesn't know are guilty or innocent of crimes against humanity. She is just a gun to be pointed in a direction and would shoot at anything with the goal of killing it. Because of that bastard, she lived alone and preferred to be by herself. Because of that bastard, she had nightmares and have to constantly be reminded of the several days that ruined her life forever. She never wanted to become like that man. She could kill thousands of people but she would NEVER wish to do what she just did to anyone in any earnest.

"Forget it. Continue the mission," she said, trying to focus on doing the mission to get her mind off of the event. She already had a small episode just now and going into a full blown PTSD episode right now would be disastrous. Not only would it be putting her and Maru's life in danger, but it might also put the lives of those in the car they just left in jeopardy. No! She can not and will not let that happen. She shook her head and started to focus on the task at hand.

As she ascended and made her way over the top of the train car, she heard a loud thud coming from where the train car coupling was. Maru had kicked down the door and made a fool of himself. While this was happening, she noticed there was a tunnel coming up and without hesitation, as Maru created a distraction, she swung herself over the side of the train and kicked in one of the windows of the train. She made a dynamic entrance, pour shards of glass from the window into the center aisle as her boot connected with one of the goons' faces, knocking him out cold. She turned to give Maru a glance, a quick one. If she didn't have her mask upon her face, she would have shot a look of disappointment.

As the two entered, one of the men ran towards the rear of the train and started to work on the coupling between the two cars. Nozomi saw this happening and she took a step forward only to feel a sharp pain in her gut. Two of the guards had drawn rapiers and stabbed her in the gut at roughly the same spot. She let out a loud groan in pain. "Mardox! The rear of the train!" she shouted out before ramming her fist into one of the men, knocking him away. As he was knocked away, the other's blade just went deeper into her body, penetrating her all the way to the hilt of the sword. "Get him before he warns the mark!" she shouted out before stumbling forward. She pulled out the Starbringer Sword and sliced the man's hand off, causing him to reel back with her impaling him in the throat with the mystical blade.

And in that moment..... Maru realized that he fucked up.... Maru cringed at the sight of Nozomi being stabbed in the gut, already knowing he messed up badly. 'Ooo that can't be good.’ he thought to himself, he wondered why didn't she- well he didn't follow through with the real plan and now she could die because of him. Maru was going to have to do some ass kissing if he wanted to at least get on Nozomi's good side again. He didn't have time to feel sorry for himself since there was a man running to warn the mark. Maru didn't know if he was supposed to help Nozomi with the two ungentlemanly men who had to catch the kumo shinobi off guard or go after the guy who was going for the rear door. Nozomi told him to get the guy who was going for the rear door so the rogue manifested his musket, thought of the musket ball he wanted to fire then he pulled the trigger! A flash of light, the guy who went for the door was blasted with a special round that contained electrical chakra so powerful it is said to be that of a Santaru's, releasing the electronic chakra is released into the man's body causing him to have muscle paralysis that would least an hour. The man flopped to the floor, Maru wasted no time then fired at the man again and he twitched then stopped moving.

The rouge then quickly turned around to fire at the men who stabbed Nozomi but by the time he turned she already gotten to them first, now that it seemed that there weren't any threats the rouge quickly dropped on his hand knees then crawled over to where Nozomi stood like a wounded puppy. Maru wasn't above begging, he always begged with Kawaii plus she has always told him that powerful women like when you get on your hands and knees also that he should obey because he was stupid. He didn't stay in his place, now poor Nozomi have gotten stabbed all because THOUGHT. He didn't need to think if someone else already had a better plan, especially if that plan was by a woman. All he could do now is simply do what any logical person like him would do and plea for Nozomi to be merciful upon him. Best case scenario: she gives him a beaten/ tries to kill him and he tries to do better next time if she allowed it. Worst case: she doesn't take him on missions anymore then he leaves this mission unabused which would bore him to sleep!

Maru had bowed deeply, his face against the floor and his hands clasped together as if he was praying then began crying. Tears began to run down his mask like a waterfall, throwing himself at the mercy of Nozomi before she even got a chance to say anything. ”WHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA” He sobbed, thanking himself for being able to cry on cue. “R-R-R-RAAAAVEN I'M SO SORRY I-I-I-I DIDN'T LISTEN TO YOOOOU.” He cried, sitting up for a moment he was still on his knees looking up at Nozomi with tears running down his mask, holding his hands out weakly so he'd look frail as he explained himself. “I just thought the lady back there was stretching the truth yanno, *sniffle* if I had a bunch of goons with me I would want to be surrounded by em rather than having them in another car.” He looked at Nozomi with big black puppy dog looking eyes, trying to get her to understand that he was only trying to make sure that their mark wasn't in with the goons. He threw himself back down with his face touching the floor again. “I know it was stupid! I'm stupid! Should've just listened to you because you're always right! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOORYY!” Maru broke down then began sobbing uncontrollably to show how sorry he was, then stopped to see if she taken pity on him looking up at her again with his chin to the floor with those big black eyes as though the mask itself was his actual face.

Maru finished off one of her assailants, prompting her to remove the weapon from her body. Due to how deep the weapon penetrated, she broke the weapon's handle right at her gut and pushed the rest of it out. With a muffled groan in pain, she turned to look towards Maru. What a sorry sack of flesh. Quibbling and blubbering because something in the mission went wrong. This was the nature of assassination missions and this wasn't the first time an assassination mission went sour; only because she decided to do a mission with other people. She never had this kind of problem doing assassinations by herself; only with other people! At the very least, Maru dispatched the snitch before he started to grovel at Nozomi's feet. A glowing hand appeared at the wound and started to close it up. Another scar from another mission. At least this one wasn't a complete failure.

"Get up, stupid. Deal with that after the mission. Your job is to fulfill the mission, not to prostrate yourself over a stupid mistake," she said, slowly getting up to her feet. She was going to crucify him for not listening to her, but the mission took priority. Her plan was to go over the train cars, disconnect the 'goon's' train car, leaving just the mark and the loot. But Maru had other plans, which caused her to gain this injury. She walked passed Maru towards the rear of the train. "Knock it off and focus," she said as she walked out of the train, finding herself on another coupling between train cars. Upon closer examination, the train car behind them had a plush interior with larger, more extravagant seating. There were beautiful women serving drinks and food to the patrons within the train car.

She took a knee just in front of the door and waited for Maru to finish his sniveling and meet up with her. "Think you can follow orders this time?" she asked as she removed a sheet of paper with a script of what needed to be said. She handed the sheet of paper over towards Maru. "When we find the mark, we are to read this script. Read it word for word in the most serious manner possible. We are assassins, not clowns. Now is the time to put your game face on, understand? Nobody else gets hurt other than the mark. You fuck this up, you're doing missions without me for now on, understand?" This was the last chance she was going to give Maru. The script given to him was a serious one, explaining the man's wrong-doings and why these assassins were sent. "Make sure you read it WORD FOR WORD and don't deviate from what it says. Once you finish saying what you're saying, we will execute the mark," she said with an increasingly annoyed voice.

‘Oh. So beg after the mission?’ Well he guessed they were on a job but she could have at least done something to him on the way out at least, like trample him on the way to the other cart, maybe a little threatening to kill him, perhaps stomp on the back of his head to make him smash his face to the ground. Instead she told him the knock off his begging and focus. After she left him there unpunished, the clown rested his hand on his cheek then began to tap his clawed like fingernail on the floor for a good moment after being neglected from any sort of punishment, then he rolled onto his back then kicked up to his feet. The clown began to skip his way to the next cart but not before his foot hit a snag causing him to trip then fall on his stomach before snapping back up to his feet then began to walk so he could step over the bodies.

Once getting to the door, the clown kneeled down then frowned when Nozomi asked him if he would follow orders this time. “Hey I already said I will and apologized.” Not to mention he did some grovelling so he would try to listen this time instead of thinking on his own. Confirming that he'll be a good boy, Nozomi pulled out a paper with a script of what needed to be said and the clowns hair shot up in excitement! Being as charismatic as he was, Maru was always in for acting since he liked being the center of attention. The rogue took the script then saw that it revealed the wrong doings that this dude has done, being serious however wasn't really his strong suit since the clown outfit kinda made it hard for him to not act a fool but he could at least try. He couldn't help but feel like she was trying to say something…. like she didn't WANT him to be a clown in which honestly he didn't see a difference between a assassin clown and assassin assassin. Besides beating up everyone with a few kills were enough to send a message to whoever hired them had hired one of the best.

The clown read the paper out loud to himself before giving his partner a thumbs up then stuck out his tongue to the side of his mouth. “Got it boss.” He said, then got prepared by rereading the things that this guy has done wrong. The way that this is written he really should've worn that cop looking costume since he was getting some policie vibes from the statement. Maybe that what she meant when she wanted him to act like a assassin assassin, act like one of those chimp Anbu people instead of the fun Kashima Clown.

Assassin= Act like chimp. Big Mean Bad Ape.
Clown= Act like Mastermind the Kashima way.

Next time, an ape outfit should fit the assassin vibe.

Maru wouldn't be devoid of any punishment. Doing something to him mid-mission wasn't her style. Mission's objective was the most (and only) important part of a mission. Beating up Maru wasn't part of the mission objective, but as soon as they were done with the mission, he might get exactly what he wanted; as strange and creepy as that is. Normally, for missions like these that would be compromised by foolish teammates, she'd kill the offending teammate and carry on with the mission. It was easier to explain away the death of a teammate than it was to explain why the mission was a failure; or how to explain how the entire mission group got killed during the mission. Either way, mission completion was still the top priority and this mission was no different. It would be quite difficult to explain Maru's death if she did ended up killing him. So for now she will just ignore him and hope he would do his share of the work and not be a complete burden like he has been thus far.

After handing Maru the script, he stuck his tongue out of his mouth and gave her the 'Got it, Boss'. She wasn't, at all, pleased with Maru's behavior and said nothing in return. The more and more weird he acts in this mission, the more she started to regret bringing him onto this mission. Before going in, Nozomi pulled out her revolver and ejected the empty shells before loading in six more fresh rounds into the cylinder. She clicked over the weapon and turned to look up towards Maru, holding the gun up towards the sky while keeping it at shoulder-level. She stood up and gave a countdown with her fingers, counting down from 3 to 1. She opened the door to the car, letting Maru in first.

The car was plush with red velvet lining the walls. Beautiful women dressed in revealing clothing could be seen holding drinks and flirting with some of the older gentlemen. There was a cloud of smoke floating around from the older, distinguished men smoking cigars. Everyone looked like nobility here. The men, women, and even the children seemed to be receiving the same services from these women (all non-sexual for the most part). As the two entered the train-car, the two of them could see one of the older gentlemen grabbing at one of the women's ass. Turning to see Nozomi and Maru walk in, that woman's demeanor changed to a sour look upon her face and she quickly shuffled to the back of the car.

Ignoring the woman's disappearance, she pulled out the picture of the mark and showed it through the train car. "I'm looking for this man," she said out-loud, now attracting the attention of everyone in the train car. Standing up, their mark shouted out "What is the meaning of this disturbance! Guards! Guards!" he said speaking into his headset after shouting out. There was no reply to his radio call. Nozomi lifted her revolver up and let a bullet fly, grazing his cheek. This caused him to fall back, grabbing his face in pain. People started to panic and give as wide of a berth as possible. They realized that they weren't there for them, but fear started to take it's grip upon them.

"We are here to kill you, Kinkaku Murashi. Prepare yourself," she said as she walked over with Maru to stand in front of the booth that the man had occupied. He was occupied by three women dressed in bunny suits with their tops down. Upon seeing Nozomi and Maru approach, they adjusted their tops to cover themselves up and quickly moved out of the way. "We have been hired to kill you," she simply stated. The man started to grovel, grabbing at Nozomi's legs before reaching up to grab her by the breast. He squeezed them a few times before Nozomi flipped her weapon over, holding it by the barrel and smacking the mark upside the head with the butt of the revolver.

"Do that again and I'm going to 'disarm' you," she stated, now pointing the weapon down towards his crotch. This caused the man to shuffle back into his seat. "Who hired you to kill me? Was it that bastard Mokuba from Marsh?! Was it that piece of shit Kintaro from Bear!? Who!? Who hired you! It doesn't matter," he said before he started to stutter on his words. "I-I-I'll pay you! Triple what they're paying you to kill me!" he said as he crawled back up Nozomi and grabbed her by the breasts again. She responded by kicking him in the groin and shooting him there afterward, leaving a bloodied mess in it's wake.

"Read it, Mardox!" she said as she started to sound increasingly impatient.

Maru waited, taking a step back about to run in to attempt to attack the first thing he saw since he thought there would most likely be more guards around for him to punch around. He looked down at Nozomi, then tucked the script underneath his mask then took a step back, Nozomi began to count down:

Three

Two

One

Maru charge in and was about to start punching when he found that this car wasn't filled with guards, no it was filled with normal people for the most part. Men, women, and children however when Maru saw the assistants the rogue seemingly lost track of what he was doing. His mouth dropped open at looking at the red head who was flirting with the older gentleman, her green eyes were to die for, and she was packing some extremely large breast. When he saw the older man grab a handful of the woman's ass Maru thought that he was the luckiest guy in the world because he thought that this train was some pleasure vessel, he might could rent one of the women for the right amount of jewelry plus it wasn't like he was a savage because he will gladly give over control if it was for a woman like this! The perverted nin wiggles his fingers with a huge smile on his face to let the woman know he wanted a feel too but her face turned sour then the redhead began to walk away. The sour look made Maru feel like a love arrow was shot through his heart, the sassy types where the ones he really liked Maru was about to follow the woman until he heard Nozomi ask had they seen the ugly ass dude and he quickly snapped himself back into doing his mission. The woman was on the train anyway so he'd have enough time to offer his services to the woman and was willing to pay for her services.

When Maru heard a man answer and saw Nozomi shooting he knew that was the guy so Maru quickly grabbed one of the glass drinks then yelled. “M.L.A OPEN UP!” (Merces Leftier Assassins) ran over to the booth he was in and unnecessarily broke the glass again the wall reenacting a funny Anbu raid he saw on TV once. However when he heard squealing, he looked then found two bunny women with their tops down and the rogues nose began to bleed. He had a stone face, then held his hands in front of him like a zombie making grabby hands but clearly they weren't interested because they covered themselves up then pushed passed Maru and Nozomi then the rogue held his arms up. “Hey where ya going, beautiful!” He yelled after them, looking at their fake bunny tails then he giggled to himself. Snapping out of his trance he saw the mark was touching his partners…. wait, was he supposed to do that. He was a bit jealous that HE didn't get a chance to feel her up since he wasn't sure if their relationship was all together there but when she hit the man with her weapon pretty hard he was relieved to know that he wasn't supposed to do that! Guess it's his final moments on earth so he needed to at least be happy before he goes up the river.

Maru pulled out the paper from underneath his mask then cleared his throat as the man began to beg. “Kink Murashi you are….-” Maru was cut off when he looked at the man once again groping at Nozomi, in bitterness he hammered into the man's mind with a genjustu that caused the man's arms to break and while he howled in pain Nozomi kicked him in the groin then shot him there and Maru had to hold himself because the sight made him cringed. “Goooood damn.” He whispered, then began to quickly read it off so he wouldn't be next. “Kinkaku Murashi you are charged with arms dealing, having hoes, paying for hoes, and new charge with sexuy harassment. So you are gonna like die and we'll take your stuff that's in the back. Hang on…” Maru began to pat the man down to find the key, once he had the key for the rear train-car he stood up then held the key up. “There she is! Okay could you like take care of this guy please Raging Raven.” He asked instead of telling her outright so they could get to phase two of the mission. Besides he's showing her off a bit since he had been getting most of the finishing blows on things so this kill he was going to allow her to have. After all he did get her hurt so it was the least he could do.

Nozomi groaned and pointed the gun at the man's face. Maru fucked up, didn't even read from the script. He couldn't even do something as simple as that correctly. Fucking fool. Nozomi cleared her throat and spoke to the man. "Kinkaku Murashi. You have wronged the wrong people. Mukushi Corporation sends their regards," she said before pulling the trigger, splattering his brains across the booth he was sitting at. With that, people finally started to shout in horror upon what they had seen. A loud 'GOD DAMNIT' could be heard from the back where the goods they were supposed to take were. Nozomi rummaged through the man's pockets and found a single key; it was a skeleton key so you know it's for something important.

Disappointed in Maru's stupid performance, she walked to the back without mentioning a word to him. Transitioning to the final train-car, in the far back, she found herself in a storage room with a half-naked woman standing in the darkness. This was the red-headed woman that the two saw earlier; the one getting groped. "Are you fucking serious? I've been scoping that mark for the last 3 fucking months!" she said in a thick Australian accent. "He's bloody loaded and you just killed the wanker. How rude!" she shouted out before she finished getting dressed.

Nozomi walked by the half-dressed woman before passing by her to get to the box the key belonged to. "You have 3 seconds before a pervert walks in on you," she said, silently counting down from three to zero before Maru magically made his way into the room. Even when he made his entrance, she still didn't bother talking to him. She was infuriated by his incompetence at performing a mission properly. She paused for a moment and stopped, walking over to Maru and clubbed him over the face with the butt of her revolver. "How fucking difficult is it to follow a script? I told you to read it word-for-fucking-word. I should kill you right now for being an incompetent idiot. Your stupid-ass stunts almost got me killed and you can't even read a 20 word fucking script properly? Fucking moron," she said before clubbing him across the face once more.

While this was going on, the red-haired woman just watched for a moment. She was dressed in a skin-tight cat-suit with the center showing; including a bunch of cleavage. She also had a red-scarf tied across her throat. "I'm going to give you one more chance to not be a complete fuck-up. Go collect the ring that's on the mark's finger along with the finger it's on. We also need to cart his parcel back with us," she said as she turned to look towards the red-head for a moment before shoo-ing her away. "Don't you have other shit to steal?" she asked. She knew the identity of this 'phantom thief'. The red-head, known as 'The Red Sparrow' puffed out her cheeks and placed her hands upon her hips. She didn't seem pleased with being shoo'd off especially when there is some super cool loot to be had.

She turned her head towards Maru and shoo'd him away. He was most likely ogling the Red Sparrow. "Seriously, don't fuck this up," she said. "And I don't need that walking pair of tits giving me any lip," she said. She was obviously VERY upset at Maru. She wouldn't normally act like this during a mission, but something SO SIMPLE was made SO HARD because someone didn't want to cooperate. She had absolutely no reason to run another mission with Maru after that moronic stunt he just pulled. She shook her head and shoo'd the Red Sparrow away once more before matching up the emblem on the key with the emblem on the box. The box was far too large and far too heavy for them to carry.

She lowered her head and placed her palm across the mask. It was both a face-palm and a means of removing the mask. She removed the mask to reveal her long black hair and steel gray eyes. The Red Swallow looked at her as her jaw dropped in amazement. Nozomi turned her eyes sharply to the woman for a brief moment before holding the key firmly in her hand and thrusting the key inside and turned it. After she turned the key, it didn't move anywhere, instead there was the sound of hissing coming from the box, causing Nozomi and the Red Sparrow to back away from the box. It started to move on it's own, transforming it's shape from a large 7x7 box to a large 10x10 structure as the box unfolded. Inside of the box, Nozomi noticed something very concerning, even causing the Red Sparrow to laugh and wave to Nozomi.

"Nope! I'm not gonna take part in this" she said before opening the door leading out and jumping off of the train. That's not the last time they'll hear of her. Hopefully, if Maru did what Nozomi told him to do, he should be back by the time the Red Sparrow disappeared. Upon seeing the contents of the box, Nozomi gripped her hands into a firm ball and started to grind her teeth. "Disgusting."

Well marks dead, that was all that matters. Nozomi got the key however the rogue noticed how extremely quiet she got, like how she did when she pointed her gun at that woman with the sissy kid. Maru was starting to wonder if she was feeling bad about killing the man, the rogues feeling of pity towards Nozomi turned to excitement when she announced that a pervert was going to walk in on whoever! Maru was not really ashamed to hide the fact that he was indeed a huge pervert, especially when he's around anyone he's attracted to. This train had a LOT of escort looking women around so maybe it was a escort getting ready for work! If she wanted money Maru did indeed have more than he knew what to do with, the clown hopped into the final train car with his hands out in front of him with claw like fingernails hands in a perfect position to grope. His tongue sticking out of his mouth when he began making grabby hands. “Someone called for a pervert?” He giggled.

Appearily his joking finally got him what he was wanting when he went rogue and was rewarded with a club to the face with a revolver. Though he enjoyed punishments Maru wondered what did he do wrong and Nozomi proceeded to tell at him for not following the script word for word. Maru's cheeks turned red then began to play like he was meek, looking at Nozomi with big wide eyes. "B-But my Mistress… I don't think he needed to know his wrong if he was going to di-” he was rewarded again for trying to talk back and he held his face to sooth the pain trying to keep from smirking since he didn't want to upset his mistress any further. While he was being love beaten by Nozomi a big booby lady walked in dressed in a skin-tight cat-suit which made Maru's mouth dropped. The rogue liked… and wanted… but he could say much. “....Yeah she just stole my heart but she's missing my soul and body…. Especially my body.” the clown said.

Nozomi shoo-ing Maru away, he slapped himself real quick to snap out of his trance. “The ring and finger got it.” the clown began to skip then stopped. "Wait, you've been looking at Kawaii's tit's?” Maru wondered, he didn't want to think on that for too long. It's kind of weird that was the nickname she gave Kawaii, for a succubus she was getting pretty damn popular since he let her date someone and some academy student girl seemingly had a crush on her. At this rate Kawaii is gonna pull in more women and men then HE could with his charming masochistic self, gonna have to up his game a bit. None the less Maru went to where the dead body of the man laid, looking for the hand he had the ring that Nozomi wanted he found the hand with the ring, got a good grip on the ring finger, then with all his might he pulled the finger off the body with the ring still on the dead finger. Making his way back to the cart where Nozomi was he looked around for a bit, trying to see where big titty redhead gone but she seemed to be long gone. “Shit didn't give her my location so we could bang.” the rogues face turned sour but he held up the ring and the finger that the ring was on like a trophy. “Hey got your finger. What are we like gonna do with-” Maru looked at what Nozomi was looking at then whistled…. “So what am I looking at here? Is it alive?”

Maru's shenanigans melted away from her mind as she witnessed the child inside of the tank. She removed her helmet from her head and looked up at the tank, her long black hair flowing over her shoulders with sweat gathering upon her forehead. She looked up in awe for a moment at the girl in the tank before it finally set in what was happening. She balled her left hand into a tight fist and her body began to shake. "I don't know, Maru. It's a child inside of that. What was that merchant doing with this? What was he doing with THIS!" she shouted out angrily. She turned to look towards Maru for a moment. "This! This is why you needed to tell him of his wrong-doings! That's someone's daughter! Someone's sister!" she said, a look of pure anger and disgust was seen in her eyes.

"We need to figure out how to get her out of there. There's no way I, in any good conscience, could let a child sit in that thing!" she stated before looking around and noticing a control panel to the side of the tank. Walking over to the control panel, she noticed a lot of buttons and levers and switches. None of them make any sense. Something came up in her head that if she screwed this up, she could end up killing the child inside the tank. She growled and kicked the side of the control panel. She doesn't know what to do. She can't possibly carry something like this out of the train car and to the client. The feeling of helplessness started to set in causing her to wipe away tears forming in her eyes. "I don't know what to do, Maru. We need to get her out of there. She is entitled to a normal childhood and not one living in a glass tube or worse," she said, drawing upon experience of the 'or worse' part of her statement. Nothing about this pleases her.

She cursed even taking on this mission, but at the same time, she was blessed with taking on this mission. She experienced a lot of bad memories in this mission, but if neither her nor Maru were here, this girl could live a horrible life of unexplainable sadness and horror; at least that was what she thought. She paced around, biting at the tip of her thumb in thought. She doesn't know what to do in this moment to make the situation better. She started to bite through the padding in her glove and into the thumb, itself, trying to come up with a solution. Delicate situations like these weren't her forte and knowing this made her feel helpless. A puzzle that she couldn't solve by putting a bullet into someone made things that much more difficult. She groaned and kicked the air, shouting out, "FUCK! I don't know what to do!" she said before planting her rear upon the ground, several feet away from the massive container. She wrapped her arms around her knees and placed her face upon her knees.

While Nozomi was moping about feeling helpless, the girl in the tank opened her eyes and turned to look towards Maru. She floated there for a moment and spoke into his mind. "One of you will die in the next few days. One of you will suffer an endless cycle of death and rebirth. There is no changing this fate. The fact that you two have seen me means you will be cursed with change. Fate will be unkind to the two of you. I'm sorry," the girl said directly into Maru's mind, her voice sounding sweet and innocent. Her voice was that of a 14 year old girl's. Her prophetic words were followed by a bright white glow coming from her body, bright enough to catch the attention of Nozomi, forcing her to look up at the brilliant light.

She looked in awe at the splendor of the beautiful light. The light soon became blinding, causing Nozomi to shield her eyes. While she was looking away, the sound of glass cracking could be heard with the sound of water crashing onto the ground. The light instantly faded right as the thud of the girl's body hitting the ground could be heard. Nozomi turned to look towards the glass tube's base and stood up to run over to the downed girl. She picked her up and placed her in her arms. "Maru! Find me a blanket or something. I don't care where you get it from," she said before looking down at the young girl, brushing away some of her wet hair out of her eyes. She was unconscious at the moment. "Don't worry. We'll get you home. You're safe with us," she said as she smiled at the child, turning to look towards Maru.
