Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Manzo looked down at the warehouse floor below him. He had been stalking his target for far too long waiting for him to bring him here. The intelligence that he was given on the mission led him pretty quickly to the traitor. Once the missing weapons were reported missing it was a simple matter to track down who was taking them. There were only so many people that had access, making it just a process of elimination to find who had more greed than intelligence. The disturbing fact of that was there were more people on the list than he would have liked. It presented people that would be watching in the future.

Manzo itched for the opportunity to capture the traitor and spend some private one on one time explaining in slow excruciating details what he thought of traitors. But he needed to look at the big picture. He could get this piece of crap anytime he wanted but what he wanted who he was giving the arms too in order to sell them to the neighboring villages. He needed to build all the evidence he could before springing his trap and break the criminal ring.

Which brought him to this warehouse today. He overheard that his traitor was going to be selling some more arms to his local contact at this location. His goal was to follow that trail to see where it led.

Watching the nervous traitor bellow he munched on some beef jerky. He found that he was always eating something these days. It must be his metabolism being high to compensate for the extra calories that he burned while he opened his chakra gates. He had always had a large appetite before but now it just seemed to be out of control.

With his internal musings completed he saw that a new group come in and start to talk to Manzo’s traitor. Manzo couldn’t hear every word but it was clear that the new group was unhappy with the last shipment. It seems that that the greedy traitor was even greedier than he originally thought. Trying to stiff his partners out of the weapons. It made Manzo want to chuckle if he didn’t need to stay silent.

After a heated but brief exchange of words the traitor handed one of the newcomers a package, and they both left in opposite directions. Already knowing who the traitor was he knew that he could pick him up at any time. He wouldn’t have arrested him at the scene but he had more than enough evidence to put him away. How long the traitor was behind bars was a subjective question and had nothing to do with him leaving a free man.

Slightly tailing the newcomers group, he tailed them until they were out of the city. He watched as they start to load their package into a truck, that was part of a convoy of five trucks. It looked like the intelligence briefing was correct, that this convoy had more than just the small package that was just handed off. This convoy was well prepared for war.

Not able to wait any longer Manzo started to act. It would have been nice to know more about the villages that this was going too; he would just have to leave one of them alive to ask. He couldn’t risk this convoy of weapons reaching its intended destination. Manipulating the gravitational forces of the earth itself Manzo flipped the lead truck completely over, followed quickly by performing the same action on the rear truck, boxing the remaining 3 trucks in an inescapable situation, at least for now.

The shock did not last long and Manzo did not wait for them to get organized, or escape on foot. Erecting a dome made out of lightening trapping all of the arms dealers in with him he began to attack.

Some were more skilled than others. It was clear that most of them had at least some training as a shinobi. As a fireball came at Manzo he started cursing. ”Fire, why does it always have to be fire.“ as he attempted to dodge the attacks some of them stuck him. He knew he was durable enough, and he could always heal himself if he needed it so he did not let this phase him. He felt ice pierce his skin as someone came charging to him to attack with a tire iron. The fortunate thing was because of the one wielding the tire iron and the others that were closing in to attack in hand to hand, it was forcing the ninjutsu wilders to be a bit more choosey with their attacks for fear of hitting their comrades.

Out of the corner of Manzo’s eye he could see a bald man getting out of the lead truck. He did not move like he was injured or panicked, like some that he was currently fighting, but instead he moved with the intent of someone that is used to being in control.

Not wanting to be overrun any more than he was Manzo reached into himself and opened one of his chakra gates. The one that made him harder to hit. Unlike the normal opening of his chakra gates, Manzo expanded the power outward, creating a creator, only a foot deep, starting at his feet.

The surprised impact knocked a few of his opponents off of their feet, giving Manzo a slight reprieve while he did a spinning back kick to one of the arms dealers heads, knocking him back forcing him to land on the side of the dome of electrical energy that was surrounding them. Seeing the man get electrocuted by hitting it brought a satisfied smile to his face.

As another attack hit him across his face, Manzo realized he needed to get even faster. It was possible that he bit off more than he could chew with this fight. Not that, that would ever have stopped him. He had been tasked by his Sennin with a mission critical enough to be a success or die mission and he fully intended to come home tonight.

Manzo had long ago accepted he might die for his village. That was just the fact of being a shinobi but he would much prefer to let the other poor dumb bastards die for their village.

Unlocking his second chakra gate once again letting the power expand outwards from him, the creator that he had started to create before was becoming deeper. There was begging to get a glow about him from the amount of chakra that was leaking from his body. With the Gate of Wonder opened he could feel his body moving even faster. He utilized his blood line techniques to attack from angles that were unexpected and the power he had developed from his training to leave his opponents a lump of ruined flesh on the ground.

”Who are you and why are you picking on my men?” the bald man that had been getting out of the lead vehicle asked Manzo, when Manzo suddenly found himself without anyone left that was attacking him.

”Does it matter? Don’t worry we can have a nice long conversation when we get back to the village.“ Manzo replied.

”Oh I won’t be going back there any time soon, I have some business to conduct elsewhere and after this interruption you won’t be going back there either” The bald man said as he slowly started to walk towards Manzo.

With the lull in fighting Manzo was finally able to get a good look at the bald man. He was pretty unremarkable in his features. He had the toned muscle tone of the typical shinobi but what stood out was his eyes. Pupil less eyes stared back at Manzo. Eyes that indicated that he was about to face the Byakugan. He was getting tired of fighting against special eyes. It wasn’t that they scared him or that he felt they were more powerful; it was just they seemed to stare back him when he was long gone from the fight.

The bald man did not wait long before he launched into his attacks. The open hands of the Hyuuga fighting style lashed out at Manzo like striking snakes. Manzo had heard stories about what the gentle fist could do to a person’s insides. He was not thrilled to find out if the stories were true. Not wanting to find out he decided to open yet another chakra gate. The surrounding blast did not seem to faze the bald Hyuuga’s balance in anyway but it did help Manzo dodge the attacks that were coming at him.

Using his superior speed Manzo would attempt to teleport behind his opponent only to find that the Byakugan gave his opponent eyes in the back of his head. It seemed to be a stalemate until the Hyuuga landed a series of hits on Manzo’s chest. Each one he could feel on his chakra network, slowing the flow of chakra through his body.

Jumping back to gain a second to catch his breath, Manzo ended up using his moment to breath to cough up blood. Manzo could feel his chakra moving sluggish through his body. It felt almost like he had reached the end of his charka pool even though he knew he still had a lot more in the tank.

”And now you are finished. You won’t be able to keep up with my attacks anymore now that I have disrupted your chakra network. I must say that was some impressive fighting you did though. I will actually remember you, and not just for the damage you caused my merchandise.” The Hyuuga taunted Manzo.

Manzo knew that it was true. This fight was all but over. He couldn’t believe that he had failed. He knew that he had more chakra, he just needed to be able to access it again. Perhaps if he opened more of his chakra gates he could force the chakra past whatever blockage this Hyuuga had given him.

Knowing that he did not have the time to open them one at a time until he broke past the dam, Manzo decided that it was time to open the eighth and final gate. It was dangerous but the situation looked bleak as it currently was so he needed to make a gamble.

Letting out a primal scream the ground underneath Manzo was crushed under the weight of his chakra exploding outward. He could feel the blockage breaking free, but it almost felt like something else broke in the process. The glow sounding him become bright enough that anyone would be able to see at night. Take a step Manzo used his Quicksilver Step to close the distance with his opponent, and found it was not there. The worry in the back of his mind was pushed even further away as he simply used his enhanced speed to charge the Hyuuga leaving after images of him that they themselves attacked the Hyuuga. The barrage was quick and brutal leaving the Hyuuga with enough broken bones that he would not be using the gentle fist anytime soon.

Manzo could feel the strain on his body start to take hold as he started to close off his chakra gates. Looking down at the broken man, he knew he would get all the information out him back at the ANBU headquarters.

Taking a moment to experiment, Manzo attempted to create a sword out of nothing. A technique that he had favored before he discovered the chakra gate but one he should still be able to perform. Much to his disappointment he discovered that he no longer could. It seemed that forcing his chakra past the blockage had broken something within him.

That was going to have to be something to ponder later. Using Ninja wire he bound the ones that were still alive and loaded them into one of the trucks. They would have to answer for selling stolen arms, and Manzo intended to get all the information out of them that he could.

Driving back Manzo thought about the traitor that started this mess. That one still had quite a bit to answer for.
