Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Nestled along the dunes near the oasis is the dojo an ancient stone building a former coliseum converted by Toraono Kaibudo and his wife Azame into a specially domed dojo; a place of perpetual learning for the martial arts, and combat at its finest. One side was dedicated to weapons more specifically the sword but weapons the other side of the house was dedicated to unarmed combat. A finesse and power that was understandably overwhelming and set for bloodletting. The stone pillars upholding the building were set with skill, chakra, and care to promote maximum stability throughout the entire structure. The dome was added to promote an atmosphere and provide air conditioning in a round-about way through specially placed vents. The floors of special marble in some areas were be-speckled and set apart by floors coated with special disinfected sand that wouldn't infect a bloodied warrior. Weapons racks lined the walls of the second area with meticulous care in stands. On the northern side of the dojo were padded wraps and leggings, for martial arts training. The Toraono Clan Dojo once sat at just over thirty feet in height with an additional ten feet higher in dome. The steps leading up to the main antechamber were an odd sand red marble, brown marble stained by bloodied sand. Six chambers were divided in shapes necessary to provide optimum training in various forms of combat. Two more additions had been made due to the children of the Toraono clan actually becoming full fledged ninja were dedicated to ninjutsu and genjutsu. The ninjutsu chamber was in an underground cavern while the genjutsu chamber was in a calm hand dug bath chamber irrigated ever so slightly by the Oasis itself and heated by the sun.

The entire east wing of the Dojo and a portion of the coliseum itself were restructured from a small mountain. The formation of the mountain over centuries of tectonic and sandwyrm movement had caused many once sealed underground chambers to open and with the re forged mountain chambers the Toraono Dojo now had a natural barrier to prevent further access to Sunagakure from the west and it also provided a new area to train for future students. Over two hundred chambers existed in the Toraono dojo and the general public only had access to fifty percent of that. The remaining rooms were specially sealed chambers for specific clan members affiliated with the dojo and their blood relatives. These chambers were built and sealed so that only they or a Toraono Clan master could enter them.

The passageway Kuro took Suzuhime through led to the main entrance and as they exited the dimly crystal lit hallway they found themselves in the walk in cupboard of the main kitchen. One of twelve as it were. Kuro grinned before directing Suzuhime to a room where she could shower and change over into a traditional kimono for her meeting with the family while Kuro left to don his own family wear and prepare himself to give the news to his mother.

They had finally arrived. Being hurried through the dojo. It seemed Kuro wanted to waste a less time as possible. Having walked through some sort of secret passageway that led from a cupboard from a kitchen of the architectural marvel. Suzuhime had no time to admire it's structural beauty before she was being hurried through dimly lit hallways and corridors. Leading Suzuhime into a room that held a traditional kimono, a bathroom, and a bed. Obviously a bedroom for guests. But...a kimono...oh no...

In hope of trying to catch Kuro before he hurried off.

"Wait! Kuro! I don't know how to put this on!"

Suzuhime was usually not included in clan meetings when her parents had one. And she was the bodyguard when Iori would attend those meetings. So how in the world would she put something like this on. Maybe she could figure it out while she showered. Which was something else she desperately needed after her episode. She felt dirty, so that was a clear queue to take a damn shower.

She was at least familiar with the dojo's bathrooms, having spent the night here once because of the injuries she suffered at the hands of Kuro. So she already knew how to wash herself with their hygienic utensils and tools. Feeling a little vulnerable when she had to undo her wraps to wash her bust. Taking care to give her luscious crimson locks more love. Making sure it was as vibrant as it could be for Suzuhime to present herself. She couldn't do much about her eyes, but at least she had remembered to bring her glasses, the square rimmed specs stashed within her battle robes. Although there was another problem...she had no spare wraps, and there seemed to be no spare lingerie for her...not that they would even have her size. Her wraps made her bust appear much smaller then it actually was, so this was just another problem to an already bad situation. Perhaps they should have prepared for this better. So Suzuhime wouldn't have to improvise to protect her naughty bits.

After her rather swift and thorough cleaning session. She would look at the kimono rather dumbly. Unaware on how to put on something so...complicated. And rather embarrassed of how she would look in one...

-----many struggles later-----

Suzuhime had finally fit herself into the traditional garment. Her bust protruding to where it was supposed to, giving a moderate view of her cleavage. Something she wasn't exactly happy about. But at least it covered her legs. Keeping her lower lingerie hidden. But she had to keep pulling up the upper portion of the kimono to try and keep her bust modestly covered. One could tell very easily that Suzuhime had no practice with kimonos. Rather sloppily done, but elegant nonetheless. Suzuhime had adopted a rather meek personality. As if her battle robes gave her confidence. Poking her head out, her sandals making soft sounds on the ground as she stepped out softly.

"To-toraono-dono? I-i'm ready..."

She would nervously pull at the garment. Her real sizes not taken into measurement it seems

Kuro stood at five feet, ten inches, weighing in at two hundred and eighty pounds. Kuro’s silver gray mane of hair had a reasonable amount of muscle mass to conceal. With a twenty one inch neck Kuro’s hair couldn’t conceal very much even as it cascaded to the center of his upper back. Violet eyes with gold slits peered from a chocolate brow with large ebony horns growing from where a normal man’s temples would be. He wore a sand tone obi around his thirty six inch waist. The obi allowed Kuro to carry his honor blade in a specialized bone sheath. Kuro wore his battle pouch on a second sash just above his right hip. Adjacent his sacred blade Kuro wore a pair of collapsed fuuma shuriken, and last but not least Kuro wore his leg sheath on the interior of his hakama just atop his fighting gi shorts with his ANBU serum and summon scrolls. A convenient cut in the silk cloth of his left hakama pants leg allowed Kuro full access to his ANBU gear without showing exactly where it was till he motioned to grab it. Securing his anbu arm guards and leggings Kuro covered the runic terran markings of his hand and leg wraps. Kuro’s tail swished back and forth its tiger stripes faintly surging with chakra. His black gi top concealed his overly muscular upper body. As he approached the room he had left Suzuhime in she exited and approached him looking slightly embarrassed and a little disheveled. She had forgotten to tighten a few points here and there. It seemed she had a much larger bosom than he remembered from their sparring match a couple of days ago. Using his telekinesis Kuro put the finishing touches on Suzuhime's kimono.

"I see that you have more ample femininity than I originally thought. Your hair is amazing, and I am certain mother will love your features. Red hair is very rare in the Toraono Clan; shall we head to the dining hall?"<i></i>

Kuro looked handsome as well...well, as handsome as a male demon-beast morph could be to a female anyways. But he still looked quite dashing in his own traditional wear. Whereas Suzuhime looked like she rather be hung then continue on in this getup any longer. She was much more bashful then her normal personality. As if all her abrasiveness had been drained the moment she completed the daunting task of putting this thing on. When she approached Kuro, she could feel a few knots tightening around her dressing, causing the top to lower once again. Suzuhime quickly pulling it back up to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. That was the last thing she needed to deal with. Blushing a little deeper when Kuro admired her 'gifts' of the female body.

"I normally wear wraps...and my battle robes are very loose and baggy, so you never really see much."

Another reason she felt exposed, was her lack of a bra, being how you can't really reuse sweaty wraps. And the kimono hugged to her ample bosom tightly. Red hair was rare for them? Really?

"Wow...is it? All you get with the Yamazaki clan is black and red. No real differentiation from that."

Suzuhime would nod lightly as she extended her hand upwards. Hoping to find solidarity in holding his hand. As if holding it would calm her nerves, which it just might.

What Kuro meant to say was the red hair was completely unheard of in the Toraono Clan but he didn't want her to be nervous. He took her hand gingerly and escorted her to the royal dining chamber. Many of the the lesser members of the Toraono Clan were already there and anticipating the meals that Toraono Kuro was set to prepare that evening so when he came in everyone released a resounding cheer until they saw he was accompanied by a beautiful woman and alot of the men simply got choked up while many of the women giggled behind napkins where the older women simply blushed and cheered Kuro on. Many of the other clan members had feared he would never find a woman because of his mother's strict requirements on her final son. Only a few women knew why she had boxed Kuro into only being allowed to date upon her decree and only after the woman met up to her specifications. The women who partook off and gave Queen Azame counsel knew that Kuro was destined for great things and also was under a terrible curse that would cost many in the clan their lives should he stray from the path she had set him upon. It wasn't just their lives at stake but the entire world should Kuro go rogue because of loss, love, or simply being led astray. Azame knew that Kuro was vulnerable to women, he always had been and it was a double crutch since he was brought up in a matriarchal society.

Suzuhime would have never been inside a chamber quite like this one because it was specifically designed by the Toraono Clan to serve as a feasting and battle hall. Painted, runed, and etched into four sections with a fifth set specifically for the head table were calligraphic, picturesque, and runic representations of each bloodline family and their celestial or demonic patron within the Toraono Clan. In this richly appointed room, pillows, couches, throw rugs, low and mid height tables set with intricate crystal, metallic, or ivory dishes. Along the walls tapestries, paintings, and stone etchings obscured, added to, or emphasized the various architectural additions requested by the heads of each respective family. In the center of the chamber was a massive semi modern but most assuredly ancient style platform kitchen with a stone grill and basin. An elemental enhanced crystal chamber for keeping items cold, a water basin that would boil almost instantly. The piece de resistance was a large metallic drum with specially mixed and seasoned oils for deep frying foods.

As Kuro escorted her to the head table all eyes turned toward them with a resounding cheer as they climbed the stairs to the head table's dias. Each table was designed to seat thirty except the head table which was designed to seat exactly twenty. The entire head family was never present so there was always plenty of room Kuro took his seat at the end of the table where his back would be to the rest of the families but he could see his mother and father at the other end after they arrived. Comfortable with his favorite chair he asked for one of his mother's seats from her younger days to be brought and set beside his for his lady. The grin that split the young warriors face was enough to make the grouchiest old guard smile as well. He brought back a miniature couch of a chair that would allow Suzuhime complete relaxation no matter how she sat without taking away any of her modesty. " I must make the meals of the evening but I will use a kage bunshin for that and come sit here with you to await the arrival of my family. I shall return shortly..."<i></i> At that Kuro leapt up and performed a triple backwards somersault to ceremoniously land in the center of the amazing kitchen where he smiled to all the family's already present and with a sweeping gaze before running his hands through a series of complicated seals. At the last moment he threw a smoke bomb as he yelled "KAGE BU-SHIN NO JUTSU!!!"<i></i> A second Kuro appeared and they spoke in unison "I can hear your thoughts and I know your hungers, LET THE COOKING OF THE TORAONO CLAN FEAST BEGIN!!"<i></i>

Both Kuro's hands became blurs as they began to separate fibers and skins from vegetables and meat. Knives flashed intermittently, water boiled, dough was pounded into life then separated into noodles. Rice steamed, potatoes fried, celery, carrots, mushrooms, wild peppers, were diced and lightly grilled. The chamber began to fill with the aroma of various meats, and vegetables. It was intoxicating and quicker than anyone believed possibly food began to appear on serving plates. Levitating and or physically moved it settled before the various requesters whom Suzuhime now realized had mentally made their requests without even speaking aloud. Kuro was not a full telepath though or else he would have predicted her attacks and movements as well.

Suzuhime would exhale deeply as she quit fussing with her kimono. If she stopped messing with it, it would stop getting messed up. He would lead her down a large hall into an even larger room. People cheering loudly upon Kuro's arrival, then realizing that a strange woman was with him. Many of the males choking on their own disbelief, women snickering and giggling like little girls on the schoolyard. Others cheered harder at Kuro's choice of a woman. As if congratulating him on finding a potential mate. Suzuhime looked over at Kuro who seemed to act as if this was usual. No real reaction coming from him that contrasted to her obvious uneasiness. She could feel the divinity sealed by the marks Kuro had inscribed upon her hands. Reacting to the numerous demonic denizens within the feasting hall. She would be led to the table directly at the head of the room. She could still feel eyes following her form, some envious, others lusty, and others grateful. Kuro wasn't lying when he said it was hard to find women that suited the prerequisites of his mother it seemed. Did they maybe hope that Suzuhime would be the one to pass the test? Upon reaching the table, Kuro would be seated and soon afterwards, Suzuhime's chair, or rather couch would arrive. Gently planting her bosom on the furniture as she looked over to Kuro again for reassurance. Kuro soon would leave her side, making an act out of himself as he would clone himself. A rather basic technique turned more complicated. Making a solid mirror image of himself, taking up arms of the kitchen. His hands were a blur as he began to cook at seemingly the speed of light. Well, prepared the food of course. As if cooking itself, as if in no time at all, plates already floated towards people's tables. Their excited and amused cheers came from every corner of the hall. Suzuhime would return to watching Kuro cook for a stupidly large amount of people in no time flat.

She hoped that this would not last much longer. They still had to deal with Azame. She wanted to meet the queen already so she could prove her worth, then get out of this awkward garment. But for now, she would play along with the rest of the families. Smiling softly and clapping at Kuro's outstanding display.

Kuro's extended family wasn't all demonic in fact Suzuhime soon realized the majority of the demonic energy she sensed came from Kuro and oddly enough his clone. As Kuro himself returned to her side she felt celestial energies as well, those not quite divine nature based energies that were normally only found abundantly in greater beasts of old. Power ran rampant here but it was of little consequence, it wasn't until Suzuhime noticed the clone was not just in synch with Kuro's presence but functioned perfectly independent of Kuro. It was as if Kuro had eyes in the back of his head, he could hear and see every movement and as he motioned to her a plate carrying a a slightly different take on her favorite dish of lobster and scallops was tossed and telekinetically caught by Kuro's waiting hand. The dish had Sunagakure's version of a lobster, a giant water scorpion fished from the waters of the undersea and prepared in the same manner as lobster but flash-fried alive in seasoned oil then boiled clear of excess grease for a few moments.

The first two western tables were filled with beautiful white haired men and women with blue, gray, and the occasional white eyes. Some sat alone, others sat with full grown ten foot sand tigers at their sides. The Kindred of Byakko: Some of the Toraono Clan descend from the blood of the celestial beast Byakko, the great white tiger. As such they are normally born with white, gray, or blonde hair with exotic gray, blue, or ever rare completely white eyes. These warriors are able to use taijutsu that combines their inner energy flawlessly with their movements resulting in a combat style known amongst the Toraono Clan as Tora no Ken or Fist of the Tiger. It is said that a Grandmaster of Tora no Ken can kill a being with a single strike without leaving a discernible wound or cause a wound so terrible that it causes blood to erupt from every orifice, even the pores of the skin. Some of these descendants are able to bond with the rare sand tigers that roam the deserts and become a formidable hunter team.

The eastern tables were filled with incredibly large men and women and almost all of them had horns in some manner. Suzuhime would get the impression that they were very gentle when she looked their way. -- The Kindred of Ox-King: Some of the Toraono Clan descend from the blood of one of the demon beast Kings the Oushi-ouja Ox King whom was actually defeated and absorbed by Hyakujuuonouu, the King of demon beasts and cousin of the celestial white tiger Byakko. Those whom show traits of descent from this line are known to be born larger than most babies. Many are born with special chakra seal crests upon their foreheads, chests, abdomens or backs. As they grow older they show off their inhuman strength and tend to be taller than many of those of the Toraono Clan, the tallest of these warriors actually tapered off at eight feet by the time of her twenty third birthday. The males of this lineage occasionally grow ox like horns, sometimes the women do as well but it is very rare. They are also able to master jutsu’s that allow them to turn into giants. They tend to be born with full heads of black, blue, or brown hair with large brown, blue, or rare jade green eyes. These warriors are able to use taijutsu that combines their great strength and massive size to level mountains, and forests.

The Southern table nearest the center point kitchen was full of dark haired men and women with swarthy brown skin. They looked happily sedated yet their eyes showed they were aware of everything. -- The Kindred of Hyou: Some of the Toraono Clan descends from the blood of the celestial beast Hyou, the great black panther. As such they are normally born with extremely dark skin and hair. These members are often born with gold or completely black eyes. These warriors are able to use ninjutsu and Genjutsu in a way that allows them to remain undetected until they strike. Their stealth is so naturally and flawlessly accomplished that their movements can influence the shadows. They tend to be lazy when not challenged but when a hunt is brought forth there are few that can match their natural stealth and hunting skills.

The head table was for the direct descendants of Hyakujuuonouu where Kuro's family sat and just when Suzuhime might have gotten frustrated the massive doors behind the head seat of the head table opened and Kuro's father followed by his mother, Doctor Toa, Sunaku Sashi, and Kuro's twin sisters Midori and Shiro strolled in. Kaibudo didn't show any surprise whatsoever he simply smiled and winked at Kuro. Queen Azame's eyes narrowed and she gripped her hilt for a moment till she looked over Suzuhime and seemed genuinely surprised. Midori and Shiro however were not happy, how dare their baby brother have a woman in his life and they not know about but then they too looked at Suzuhime with astonishment.

Toraono Kaibudo stood at seven feet, two inches, weighing in at three hundred and eighty pounds. Kaibudo’s salt and pepper mane of hair was pulled back into a very stylish set of war braids. With a twenty three inch neck, Kaibudo's braids looked a little small where they hung down his back tied together with a black sash as it cascaded down to the center of his back. Beautiful violet eyes with indigo irises that peered from a chocolate brow exactly the same skin tone as Kuro. He wore a black grandmaster's belt around his thirty six inch waist. The belt allowed Kaibudo to keep the style of his gi as it sat upon his massive chest and biceps even. Kaibudo wore a medical pouch on his back just atop his fighting gi belt.

Long silky black hair laced with perfume and scented oils settled across well muscled yet feminine shoulders. Her Sunan cotton and silk kimono allowed both defensive measures and a bit of air to breathe through her garments. Interlaced within the weave at specific areas was a special mesh of metallic and crystal laced fibers specially designed to prevent the piercing of her vital points by blade or chakra enhanced pressure. When standing Toraono Nobuku Azame stood six feet two inches. She weighed a reasonable, muscular, 180 pounds, Toraono Nobuku Azame was Kuro’s mother. The resemblance between Kuro and his mother was in the thick lustrous silk like fervor of their hair, the eyebrows, eye lashes, and the cheekbones of his face. Azame’s eyes were green blue like the sea. She was perfectly proportioned for the skill of a swordswoman, her arms were lean and toned, her legs were like that of an acrobat or a circus dancer. She wore a white embroidered, sand tone, chain mail laced, silk kimono. Its colors were white upon a sand tone background with the image of a tigress and her lion king basking in the setting sun atop the corpse of a giant serpent. This pattern wrapped around her kimono several times. Her skin was a creamy olive, she wore a pair of reinforced guards upon her forearms and beautiful silk and sandalwood sandals upon her feet. Around her waist was an gold and sand tone obi with crimson threaded runic terran sigils marking her as nobility. She carried herself with an aura of domination and power that accentuated her natural grace in a manner that could only be attributed to her being a full grown woman.

Standing at five feet seven inches and weighing a healthy, muscular, 160 pounds, Toraono Midori was of Kuro’s elder twin sister the first born daughter of Azame and Kaibudo she sat at the immediate left of her mother, a born swordswoman. The resemblance between Kuro and Midori would be identical were it not for Kuro’s devil touched body. Where Kuro’s hair was silver, Midori’s was a lustrous olive green with dark jade overtones. Her eyes were green like jade that turned catlike when her emotions surged. Where Kuro was all muscle and power Midori was all speed and ability she took after their mother in that she never allowed herself to truly be hit. Her lime green kimono was embroidered with tiger and lion cubs that danced around a lioness whom watched them sleepily or so it would seem. The soft lime on emerald green outline allowed the silk to shimmer when she moved. Even through the kimono one could tell she was well muscled. Her skin was more honey brown than sun darkened chocolate like Kuro’s. She wore a pair of reinforced guards upon her forearms and beautiful silk and sandalwood sandals upon her feet. Around her waist was an emerald and jade obi with gold threaded runic terran sigils marking her as nobility. She carried herself with a feline and sensual grace that could only be attributed to her being a woman of the Toraono Clan elite.

Taking the seat to the second left of Azame as she sat in a lotus style seated position was Toraono Shiro second elder twin sister to Kuro. Standing at five feet seven inches and weighing in at a lean, muscular, 170 pounds, Toraono Shiro was Kuro’s 2nd elder twin sister. Their resemblance would be also be identical were it not for Kuro’s devil touched body she would easily pass for Midori were she to ever dye her hair and wear jade contact lenses. Where Kuro’s hair was silver, Shiro’s was a snow white with faint gray tiger stripe patterns. Her eyes were like diamonds that shimmered many colors like the finest gem stones when her emotions surged. Where Kuro was all muscle and power, Shiro was a balance of speed, power, and agility. She took after their father in that she didn’t care if she was hit and sometimes even allowed herself to be hit to prove a point. Her skin and her body were tough as steel. She could even snap a sword in two by scissoring her hands together. She often wore a soft white silk/linen mesh gi with a layer of fine women’s chain mail beneath it to protect against weapons like arrows, throwing knives, and shurikens whose movements she often couldn’t predict their trajectory beyond a certain distance. Her skin tone was also a honey brown although the depth of her eyes was darker around the edges like Kuro’s. It was easy to say she was well muscled, she moved about barefoot most of the time except during visits from other nobles and was said to be the finest martial artist in the dojo next to Kaibudo. Her skin was more honey brown than sun darkened chocolate like Kuro’s. She also wore a pair of reinforced guards upon her forearms mostly to protect her sparring partners. Around her waist she wore a beautiful, gray in color, silk sash with gold threaded runic terran sigils marking her as nobility. She carried herself like a feline warrior seemingly always on her toes.

Lobster wasn't her favorite dish to eat, she had lower tastes then that. But she was craving seafood at the time, but living in a desert and all, she got the next best thing. She was a little awestruck when the plate hovered itself over to where she was sitting, descending delicately by Kuro's own hand until softly landing on the table, careful not to disturb the entrees it carried. Although it was rather hard to eat when you had multiple people eyeing you from everywhere.

Suzuhime taking glances around the room to look at the other patrons of the banquet. One table was full of androgynous males and very feminine females with namely white hair, with few differentiation. They obviously seemed affiliated with the tiger as a mascot, a symbol you could say. They seemed very proud of themselves...Suzuhime could understand that. But she could not feel easy with such a deadly predator within the room, it made things difficult for an outside like her.

The next table over was adorned with large men and women. Easily at the least, 2 and a half or 3 feet taller then she was. Sporting extreme muscle, yet gentle hearts. As if they would not wish to harm any unless provoked. These people came off much easier to relax with then the Byakko. She was used to horns on heads by now, and it seemed a few of the women gave her a thumbs up when she looked over at the table. How...encouraging.

The final were lazy looking dark skinned people whose demeanor belied their deadliness. They seemed like they could be expert assassins, even able to get past Suzuhime's extreme technological advancements she had placed upon her home. She didn't wish to provoke them either...they looked much quicker then many of the other branches accompanying this feast.

She was almost anxious to get this dinner over with, meet Kuro's mother, and she could take this unbearable outfit off. How could people wear these?! Before she even got to ponder that, the mighty doors near the head table would open, to where Suzuhime got her first good look at Kuro's family and friends. His father was very much more monstrous looking then Kuro was. However when Azame and two women noticed her, the queen immediately went for her blade before she relaxed and took an impressed look at her, as did both of Kuro's assumed to be sisters. When Azame looked ready to use her sword however, it took Suzuhime much constraint to avoid taking a fighting stance, fighting the instinct that said she had to fight for her life. There was no danger...yet. And she begged to whatever god, that it would stay that way. Each and every individual looked impressive in their own right, all of them sporting heavily decorated clothing for the occasion, where Suzuhime merely had on a kimono. Then again, she was almost certain that their clothes weighed more then her. But that was besides the point, what would happen now that Azame was here and had already taken a look at her. At least she didn't seem disappointed, but rather shocked at Kuro's choice...a woman like Suzuhime? One who looked so frail? Although she wasn't as delicate as her tiny frame suggested. Much stronger then she appeared.

Azame stood from the head seat of the table flanked by her daughters Midori on her right and Shiro on her left as their meals were placed before them Kuro levitation style. Midori had thought of a fish platter, with spicy sauce and rice. Shiro had select strips of steak with grounded and heavily buttered potatoes. Azame had a lamb flambe with desert root greens. The entire hall grew quiet as Azame looked over Suzuhime with a mixed look of wonder and disdain something only royalty could pull off. "You have come into my home and not abased yourself before me, so you are no commoner. You have openly showed possession of my son before our clan without a hint of fear even knowing of his destructive power, so you obviously have a grasp of your own power. Kuro took you around the maelstrom and brought you into my home through our own secret passages without so much as a message to alert me to your coming so you obviously have influence over him as well. All the things I could respect in a future daughter, but I must ask is your red hair your own or a type of coloration?"<i></i> She and her council knew of the prophecy concerning the wife of the Demonbeast King incarnate, she would be a Goddess reincarnate, but which Goddess was unknown although the ruby red hair was a very distinct giveaway.

Kuro himself didn't have a meal before him and he seemed oddly silent until Suzuhime realized he was in deep concentration, something was going on elsewhere.

After Azame and company had taken their respective seats, it seemed her evaluation had already begun. Azame already pointing out things that would make a good daughter in law for herself, and a wife for Kuro. But they were a ways away from marriage. They needed to start their relationship first...which was why she was here in the first place. A good amount of the things she said seemed rather true, and it all ended with a question about her hair. Kuro was right about one thing, a Toraono with red hair seemed to be so unheard of, the Azame was asking if Suzu was a natural red head, or she had dyed it.

"Well, Toraono-sama. I am technically considered a noble, as I am the first and only daughter of the Yamazaki clan heads before my brother took over. The Yamazakis were one of the greatest influences in developing Key country. Renowned for it's contributions to the advancement of science, namely Biology and Technology. But I suppose that is rather redundant, my apologies, sometimes I tend to prattle. In response to your question, Red hair runs rather rampant within my lineage, so yes. This is my natural hair color. If I may be so bold as to ask why your so curious about the nature of my hair?"

Suzuhime was completely unaware as to the significance to her natural hair color. Unversed in one of the more heavier prophecies within the Toraono clan. But there was no way her 'tests' could be that easy. There was no way this was going so smoothly...

Azame nodded as Midori and Shiro took their places on either side of Kuro before looking at their baby twin brother lovingly then nodding to Azame, whom drew her blade as she walked the dais behind Kuro. "My youngest son has broken clan tradition and clan law, he has defied my edict and brought a woman of royal blood no less around our most basic trials. He has failed to give her proper introduction to our rites. He has committed an unspeakable act of treachery against me for should this young lady be the one to wed my baby boy, HER CHILDREN WOULD BE BORN WITH THE RIGHT TO SIT ON MY THRONE SHOULD I SO FIND THEM WORTHY! Do any of the HOUSE OF BYAKKO have any words against the Yamazaki Clan?"<i></i>

A beautiful woman stood up from her seat after licking her claws clean of her medium rare steak she purred a moment before dropping the rest of her meal into her giant sand tiger's waiting maw. "As leader of the Great house of Toraono Byakko we claim no debts or vendetta against the Yamazaki clan."

Azame nodded as she sat back down "Does anyone of House OUSHI-OUJA have any words against the Yamazaki Clan?"<i></i>

A massive burly man with horns more massive and defined than Kuro's and just a little bit wider than Kaibudo himself stood up and slammed a bag of gems upon the table as he looked at his wife and smiled. "As Elder Watchmaster of Toraono Oushi-ouja... I claim a debt owed to the Yamazaki Clan, their medicines helped my wife survive her third pregnancy and the birth of my first son and third daughter. I offer tribute to the Yamazaki Clan's medical ingenuity with this bag of gems mined from the very stones of Sunagakure" He tossed the heavy brown cotton bag to Azame's feet with a grace and ease that made the heaviness of the objects seem like a child's ball.

Azame nodded as he sat back down "Does anyone of House Hyou have any words against the Yamazaki Clan?"<i></i> A woman in pitch black robes with golden eyes and hair the color of night stood and stretched before reappearing in Azame's own shadow. She whispered her findings on Suzuhime into Azame's ear then disappeared back to her seat.

Azame nodded as her cousin sat back down "It seems that Tahnijah-kun has nothing but kind words for the Yamazaki Clan, despite your questionable experiments and the vast amount of tragedy your clan has seen over the years; you are acceptable as a mate and will receive further evaluation after dinner and my son's punishment."<i></i>

At that Azame returned to her seat flanked by her daughters.

That was it? She saw both of Kuro's sisters look at him with immense pride...? Why? Why would they do that? The gesture confused Suzuhime. As if the mention of her naturally red hair suddenly made all the difference to them. What was going on? Why was her hair so damn important? Although something bothered her...she felt Kuro didn't deserve punishment. It seemed rather unfair, at least he even bothered to showcase Suzuhime to his mother. Azame then publicly questioned the other houses, and their affairs with her own family. The Byakko had no affairs. And the giants and giantesses seemed to have no quarrels with her family either, even saying they owed a debt to them. Tossing a giant bag of gems towards Azame as tribute to their heavy contributions in the field of science. When Azame would finish getting her answers from the houses, Suzuhime felt compelled to say something, no matter her shaky confidence.

"Elder Watchmaster-dono. While your tribute is very generous, i'm afraid I am not of authority to accept it, nor would our clan need it. Your use of our hard work and research is more then enough thanks to us. We merely wish to explore and expand upon science until there is nothing left to learn. I must humbly decline this offering, but I thank you for the kind gesture. I am no means a representative or ambassador of my clan, I am just a body guard and technological scientist."

Suzuhime would bow towards the large horned man, the size difference hilariously funny if you would compare the two. Suzuhime would then turn to Azame.

"Toraono-sama. I have a favor to ask of you."

Suzuhime would bow low out of respect, she couldn't allow her own anxiety conquer her. She was still Suzuhime, which meant she had to at least let her opinion be known.

"I ask that you do not punish Kuro. He had neglected to inform you of our arrival, but it was a split second decision that had to be put into action ASAP. And by the time we had gotten here, he had finally told me that he was going to be punished for going against his family's laws. If I had known he would be harmed, I would have waited for your approval to visit your home. If you still stand by your intention to punish him, then punish me as well, allow me to take the punishment in his stead. I am technically trespassing upon your property and wearing this kimono, which is not mine. So I am trespassing and stealing, thus I am breaking the law. That would inhibit you the right to exact justice upon me."

Suzuhime's face remained steeled. Not wanting to let her anxiety show to the Queen of Steel. It was Suzuhime's fault that he did this, so the origin of the problem, she'd be dealt with.

Azame smiled sweetly as she sampled her grilled chicken breast and serpent steak while listening to Suzuhime explain the circumstances before she daintily set her fork down and crossed her fingers before resting her head on her hands to reply. "From the moment you sparred with my son in the Throne of bone tower your clan has been under investigation by my families. Your histories, your rivalries, your prior confidantes, and lovers. Whatever was found out was noted, whatever was not found out was noted. You are neither a threat to my household nor are you a problem for my son's trusting heart. Had you been so you would have been removed from his presence either directly or indirectly and your time with him forever limited. I appreciate your honesty even though your facts are actually a misconstrual of your circumstances. You cannot be punished for Kuro's actions and I also appreciate your candor and caring for my son but he MUST be punished. We live by our laws for a reason."<i></i>

Azame did not want to explain that if they did not Kuro's power alone could end up destroying the world.

Suzuhime would make a visible frown when she was told there was nothing she could do to help Kuro with his punishment. She would rather not challenge Azame on her reasons, she seemed to have made a good impression. So she wished to maintain that. Instead deciding to try and take a crack at her food, while she had never had sea scorpion, she has had lobster before, so she was well versed in how she would be eating. Taking the small 3 pronged work and driving into the shell of the bottom-dweller. Her strength breaking the shell with ease. Using a nearby spoon to separate the carapace and the meat. A good few minutes passed by before Suzuhime felt full. Despite her training, she still had a small body that did not require much sustenance to function. Not really knowing what else to say. Waiting for Azame, Kaibudo, Kuro, someone. For someone to say something! The silence was very bothersome. And it made her uneasy again. Unconsciously pulling the top of her kimono up to cover her breasts more. A bad habit by now. Next time she was wearing her own clothes.

The meal went well and everyone was content save Suzuhime. She seemed uncomfortable that everyone was eating with very little talking. Kuro's clone had finished cooking and left the area while his mother was speaking by actually leaving the room instead of disappearing in a puff of smoke. It took her a moment to realize that the murmurs she heard were people speaking runic terran between mouthfuls of food. Kuro had finally stopped meditating as whatever threat had been approaching the dojo seemed to be hated. A light sweat covered his face as he opened his eyes and smiled to everyone. Suddenly his nose began to bleed, which he quickly wiped with a napkin but Suzuhime and Azame had noticed despite his efforts. "I apologize for the lack of conversation I had to direct my attentions to an incursion on the outskirts of the Soon's Oasis <i></i>((**usage of Kuro's second body elsewhere**))"It is odd being the guardian of so much but I am getting used to it, once dinner is over I will escort you back to the maw, my punishment won't be as bad as you think. Thank you for trying to take some of the heat off."<i></i>

Azame eyed Suzuhime and at once Suzuhime was on the same page as Azame lip synched words without speaking between bites of food allowing Suzuhime to read her lips ... "get him out of here and take him to the infirmary use your guile to find out what is wrong."
It seemed Azame was already trusting Suzuhime with Kuro's care for one reason or another. She looked away and distracted her daughters by asking them about any men that may be trying to court them.

The dinner went by disturbingly quiet, something she wasn't used too at all. And the talking she could hear was in another language she didn't know. The native tongue of Sand. Suzuhime would very lowly mumble to herself.

"Es ist so still...Ich kann nicht annehmen..."

As if someone could understand. The native language of key country, where so few visited, mainly because it was a very small country, that offered very little for anyone outside of aspiring scholars. So she had no clue as to why she was mumbling to herself. However, something seemed to happen when Kuro's nose spontaneously began to bleed. Both Suzuhime and Azame seemingly catching the whiff of blood the moment it hit oxygen. Kuro trying to be courteous and cover it up, it was no match for the two women who cared most for him. Looking over at Azame, a silent unspoken agreement that only women could do occurred between them. Following Azame's instructions, she would slowly rise from the table.

"I apologize Lord and Lady Toraono, but I must borrow your son for a time. Please excuse us."

Glancing over to Lady Azame for a second, she would clutch Kuro by the hand, hurriedly dragging the hulking man out of the grand hall. She remembered where the infirmary was...they had passed by it on their way here. But that was just one of 2 things

"Kuro...what's going on? Why would you suddenly have a nosebleed?"

She said softly as she walked a slower pace, still clutching his hand with no intention of letting go.

Kuro walked with Suzuhime towards the infirmary but instead took her down a hall that was all but hidden to her immediate sight. Her eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness as all she could see was Kuro's glowing eyes. He was close to her and she could feel his chest lightly against her own as he held her close. She could see he wasn't going to try anything but the proximity gave her pause to catch her breath. The floor dropped away, but instead of falling Kuro slowly lowered them using a mixed gravity, telekinesis jutsu. "I am sorry to worry you but there are things coming to pass that my mother must never know. You are just now experiencing your growing ties to divinity but I have been living in between the power of demons, humanity, and the celestials all my life. It came to pass that I discovered power within me that only my father could explain and with it came a terrible prophecy from the four guardians of the heavens that if I did not master the powers within me that I would become the catalyst to the end of the world. What you saw earlier was my reaction to a battle that occurred in a nearby valley where I was forced to destroy a small army in an attempt to save a spirit guardian, but I was unable to do so. I know you are wondering how could I have been in a battle when I was sitting at the dinner table. The reason for that is because at this moment I can literally be in three places at once and worse still is up until I met you I had just mastered being in two places at once, because I am the reincarnation of the demonbeast king I have all of his powers but my body can't contain or handle them all so I end up creating different versions of myself to embody those powers. I also fear that your powers will be much like mine and you too will end up in more than once place at once as your one body will not be able to handle all the power that will slowly begin to infuse your existence... We're here... these murals will explain in detail what I mean as I fear that if I try to explain it will only confuse and insult you."<i></i>

They had descended over three hundred feet into a chamber where the walls were marked with intricate runes and pictograms depicting how the demonbeast king 'Hyakujuonouu' would take power from other demons, celestials, demonbeasts, and ancients through battle until he was slain by an Ancient of Flame. Then it showed him in a human body making sacrifices of other special people and creating five copies of himself. He then looked at Suzuhime and gently kissed her forehead. "My father knows this secret but my mother does not. She only knows half of the prophecy and not the parts where I must take the bodies of others. Please don't let her know about my actual abilities and circumstances, it would break her heart.<i></i>

Suzuhime listened to Kuro speak of why he had suddenly drawn blood. It wasn't a random act of bodily malfunction or arousal. It seemed Kuro had sustained injury from a whole other place altogether. Well...that sounded...odd. But Suzuhime was familiar with the concept. She had read of legends of sages with the power to control multiple bodies. And of course her current target of affection turned out to be one. And he was telling her, that given time, she could do that too? If she unlocked more of her divine potential? Kuro wasn't one to lie...unless he was certain it would be for the benefit of others. So the fact that he told her this must mean that he trusted her a great deal. The conversation keeping her mind off of the fact that they were slowly descending into a chamber blinking in surprise at the sudden kiss to her forehead. Listening to him with a look of surprise. So even Kuro had secrets to keep from his mother. It wasn't a woman, but it was the true nature of Kuro's part of the prophecy. So he had stolen bodies from other people, and made clones of them? She wasn't so shocked at the body stealing...but more of the cloning aspect.

"Then...the Kuro i'm with right now...is it the...the real 'you'?"

She questioned tentatively. Her own chest still pressed against him. With their little problem earlier with 'being a male to react to a female body' not seeming to bother him anymore. And he mentioned a prophecy...and it she began to recall the looks that occurred at dinner... and the future visions she had earlier today with him...

"Kuro. Explain this to me. Why would your mother so easily accept me? If she really already gathered Intel, she would know of the morbid and terrible things my clan has done outside the research field. Why would she approve of me so easily? Why would your sisters do the same? Why did everyone look at you like you fulfilled some sort of great task? And why did I have a future sight of you and me married...with...kids..."

She trailed off for a second. Clutching at Kuro's garb with her small pale hands. The prophecy nonsense seemed crazy to her...but why did she have a feeling she was involved?

Kuro stepped back and guided her into one of the hidden chambers beneath the dojo. All around were murals with various depictions of a fiery haired woman and her demonbeast fighting off hordes of beasts, ogres, monsters. Then there came a mural depicting a fiery ancient slaying the demonbeast and pulling the soul from the fiery haired queen. "I am the original of course, and I am certain my family members pieced together enough to know what kind of woman I was prophecized to be with especially since I actually broke all protocol to bring you before her. The problem is these writings and pictures were made eons ago by humans and ancients that worked together to help create a free society outside of Mikaboshi's control. He was once an Emperor and Lord of all Darkness but he was betrayed by Okibi an Ancient whom served the God's and the Celestials until he stole a great deal of Mikaboshi's power. We were once a bastion of power against the Ancients that rebelled against the Gods until Okibi slew our previous forms. Severed our lives into six different parts, I have to claim my reincarnation's powers from others that were born under his star but your path is different. Where I must defeat or simply confront those that will become the missing parts of me you will simply manifest your other sides as you are divine and I am not. Even in the past I loved my Queen, my goddess, she was as much mine as I was hers but then I was simply a demonbeast, I am so much more than that now. So in a way I have fulfilled some kind of great task I have brought home a woman fit to be a queen.<i></i>

Suzuhime would be led into a large area, packed to the brim with murals depicting many different scenarios. Obviously of ancient times. Many of them showed a large demonic humanoid, alongside a small red haired woman. There was no way that could have been Suzu, but it looked just like her. It seemed rather...drastic. Suzuhime listened to the history that Kuro began to explain. Saying that he would have to go through many a trial and confrontation until he, the reincarnation of the demon beast king Hyakujounuu, regained all his shreds of power and fully realized his potential. Further explaining that Suzu could do so, however having an easier time at it. So...she would use separate bodies as means of regaining her own true potential? It made her wonder...how was she chosen as the 'woman of prophecy' to be with Hyakujounuu's vassal? How did this relate to her, yet not her blood brother, Iori? She could come up with a few ideas, but that was for a later time. Kuro finished his explanation, with a rather sweet remark, Suzuhime now beginning to dawn some understanding on the subject. So...they were...'destined' to be with one another? Whether Suzuhime had received the nay from Azame? Kuro would still be with her? Two people from rather opposite sides of most spectrum's. It sounded rather...romantic to her. Kuro's closing really hit her hard however. A small sting resonating in her chest. No man had ever said such words of her before. A woman fit as a queen? Suzuhime was anything but queen material, so why did he think of her as such? Suzuhime would nuzzle her smooth face against his muscular arm. The somewhat dark cavern only lit by the dim light of the crystals, along with Suzuhime's bright hair, and shining lavender eyes. She spoke softly to her demonic lover.

"Kuro...I appreciate the flattery...but whatever that mural says or not, I am anything but queen material..."

She sounded modesty as her arms wrapped around his single arm. Clinging to him like a love stricken girl would. And some of her divinity conditions started to make sense. She had glowed extremely bright...and she had felt hot, when her divinity first made itself known. Which meant...what was the goddess of the sun again?

"Kuro...I think the goddess that I am of is...Amaterasu. It would explain the bright glow and my hair turning into a mane of fire..."

She whispered softly. Enjoying the feeling of his warmth conducting into her pale skin. Thankfully he had much to share. Unknown to Suzuhime and maybe even Kuro, time had passed by quicker then expected. And night was soon approaching. None could escape the chilly desert nights, so Suzu's body began react accordingly. The cool air gently tickled her skin. Leaving goosebumps. A small tingling at her chest also signified another occurrence of the less modest variety. Undoubtedly Kuro would notice, with Suzuhime clinging so tightly to him, her breasts did as well. As such because, in her changing room, the dojo lacked Suzu's cup size. While Suzu felt chilled, she wasn't cold, not as long as she held Kuro near.
