Kaori's stomach grumbled, growling at her inability to keep it at any-bit full. The smell of ramen, a familiar scent that her late friend (Mina) told her about and introduced her to, wafted into her nose and her feet changed direction. Her feet was meandering aimlessly through the Village Hidden in the Clouds to now having a purpose; a destination. With a quick and sharp 90-degree turn to the left, she walked down a street lined with food-vendors ranging from tepanyaki, various types of teriyaki, and even okonomiyaki. A wide range of fried foods, but the smell of ramen was what lured her in as if a voice was calling to her. In anticipation of the food that is about to fill her stomach, Kaori felt hunger-pains start to get more and more intense the closer she got and the stronger the scent of ramen got.
She continued to walk down the street until she saw a beacon of light; a light so radiant that she had to block her eyes. A beautifully lit sign saying "RAMEN". Her mouth watered as she rushed over into the ramen shop, pushing aside the small curtains and took a seat, reading over the menu. "Raiden's Special Ramen?" she asked herself, reading the ingredients. Tempura shrimp, beef tendon, 2 eggs, various vegetables... She read enough and raised a hand up to make her order. A Raiden's Special Ramen was what she ordered and the group of men and women behind the counter shouted "Hai!" simultaneously before getting to work like a well-oiled machine.
During the time the people started to work on the ramen, Kaori placed a hand on the side of her face, supporting her head up with a sigh. "At least this place isn't a COMPLETE ghost town."
