While the Vespasian Colosseum was both the alpha and the omega to many rivalries over the years, today one of his inhabitants shared few traits of either. He was not a boy of great physical prowess, tactical genius, or hell even raw talent. Tatsuo was more or less just a normal shinobi who was perhaps a bit more goofy than the rest. After watching the fight between his sensei and that religious fanatic from the sound, he managed to drop a bouncy ball he had purchased at a nearby shop. Sending it flying down into the arena, even Tatsuo was wise enough to not dare step into the battlefield as the literal inferno that was going down beneath him. He bade his time, watching the fight but always with the goal of retrieving his bouncy ball, after all, he had paid for it.
As the fight concluded, Tatsuo made his way down into the arena. The scars of battle were apparent as no one had time to really clean anything up. There were craters, there were scorch marks and other markings defining the battle that had just gone down. Tatsuo however, didn't really care. He had a red rubber ball on his mind and that was it. He began searching where he had dropped it originally, but during the fire and flames there was a good chance it could be anywhere. He began to scan the ground around him as he walked in a swirl around the Colosseum's floor. Despite his best efforts he didn't find his ball any time soon, but he did not lose hope as he continued his search. Finally after a good ten minutes of looking for his bouncy ball, he found instead a fresh kunai, well, it was covered in ash, but hey it worked. He lifted said kunai into the air to inspect it against the sun making the boy look as if he was preparing for a fight, unbeknownst to him of course.
