Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

((OOC: Thread made for training future abilities, any future class changes, etcetera. Everything will move on a bit faster if I can do everything by my lonesome, so until further notice this thread will remain private.) ((Each post will denote which ability I will be training for, as for this first post it will be for my class change.))

Training always blows, always. The young Kunoichi hated training with a passion, it wasn't like her to carry a drive to become better or anything of that sort, especially when she could laze about in the sun like some stray cat. That said one could only take so many scoldings from the Academy teachers about wasting potential before she finally got her ass in gear, if anything just to shut them up about the subject. Which is why she found herself in one of the quieter areas outside of her village, hoping that no one would come and bitch about her technically not supposed to being out here. She was being productive, and any interference would surely break her productiveness and send her back into her lazy ways.

Sooo... It was time to begin, for the moment she decided it was in her best interests to become more nimble, to help avoid any possible future attacks. She was well aware that she was a delicate little flower that couldn't possibly sustain a major amount of damage, so it seemed only natural that she began to learn to avoid being struck rather than to learn to endure the pains of attacks. Getting hit was stupid, especially when most attacks could be avoided. So for a few hours she found herself practicing her dexterity and agility in hopes that she could avoid any future punches to the face, couldn't go walking around with any black eyes.

Flipping, cartwheels, and other athletic maneuvers are all fluid and effortless to these shinobi. in battle they move graceful and skillfully, and can avoid all but the most precise techniques with little to no notice. Landing hits against these dexterous ninja can prove near impossible.

Information
Prerequisites: D Rank

Effect:
- The user is capable of performing one additional Activated Auto-Dodge per round.

Still she wasn't satisfied with her dexterity, she needed to be quicker, and even more nimbler, yeah more nimbler. Take that grammar and shove it in your mouth hole! The young Kunoichi found herself traversing various trees and jumping through shallow creeks, honing her abilities to do cart-wheels and other completely unneeded things that she would likely never use in the course of battle. Still, it was good to get some of the more basic techniques down. Throughout her times free-running she had already picked up a fair amount of techniques in avoiding precarious situations, but in this change of scenery everything was a bit different. There were no buildings to climb, no kitchens to bust through, no vendors to hop over. Only serene nature, trees, hills, creeks, and rivers. It was an interesting change of pace that proved to be slightly difficult to traverse. The difficulty proved that she was learning as she quickly found herself moving about the area with a bit of ease after a few hours of movement. Not only that it seemed she was having a bit of fun while doing so, Chiyoko hadn't expected to have fun while doing this ridiculous training. It was a pleasant surprise.

Training: Defensive Technique
Defensive Technique wrote:
This ability allows you to defend more efficiently. With this ability you can reduce damage taken, block attacks, and tire your enemy out.

Information:
Prerequisites: E Rank

Effect:
- When in defensive mode, the player receives -1 to accuracy per +1 to dodge instead of the normal +2 dodge -4 Accuracy defense penalty.
-The maximum amount of dodge for accuracy they may swap is 4.
- -10% Damage Taken while in Defensive Mode

Note:
-This is not a style/stance, and may be used simultaneously with another style.

"Defense is the Best offense", Words from fifty-million Junior Varsity Wrasslin' Coaches around the world, along with a few Academy Teachers. These words always rang true to our young flower, if she could tire her enemy out and avoid damage they would be easier to deal with down the road. So it seemed natural to practice further on her defensive abilities. In quiet serenity the young woman practiced her defensive poses, looking like a grand ol' moron while she did so. Looked like she shadow boxing some imaginary creature, and it seemed she was losing her imaginary fight, allowing the occasional grunt to escape from her lips as she feigned attacks to return to a defensive shell. Of course after a bit of training her grunting began to cease and her movements seemed more natural, despite her naturally rambunctious state Chiyoko had the analytical mind of a savant in some respects. Her eyes remained closed as she pondered possible attacks and her possible defense for those attacks, millions of possibilities wracked her brain as her hands bobbed and weaved in conjunction with her mind. Seemed that she was a bit of a natural.

Training: Insight
Insight wrote:
Someone with insight can penetrate others' motives and are more skilled at detecting ambushes and surprise attacks.

Information
Prerequisite: D Rank

Effect:
- Hidden Actions are revealed to the user through PM.
- This does not apply to Genjutsu.

- In the case of Rikudo Sennin, this ability will have a chance at activating. This is (the amount of Paths with this ability in the battle) divided by (the amount of paths in the battle).
- So, a RS with 4 paths, 3 of which have Insight, would have a 3/4 chance of having Insight activate.

Speaking of her fairly analytical mind the young miss was somewhat adept at reading others as well, coming from a history of dealing with shady idiots who sought nothing more than to screw her over she quickly learned to gauge others in some aspects. Oddly enough this particular skill seemed to transfer in to her career as a Kunoichi, she found herself able to grasp others moves as if she were playing a game of Shogi with them, always thinking two or three moves ahead of her opponent. Quietly she removed herself from her previous training, finding a shady tree to rest under and contemplate ways to further her ability to a more meaningful position. Being the smarty-pants quick learner that she is the whole matter didn't take long, analyzing others body movements, breathing patterns, and facial expressions it seemed plausible that she could semi-accurately judge which move they would be using next. The real matter of learning their techniques would be memorizing their potential signs and saving them in her cranium for later. Memorization was a pain in the ass, but it wasn't particularly difficult. She figured that her strategy was plausible, though she would have to study up on the common techniques of Shinobi... At a later date of course, her drive was only so much after all.

Training: Elementalist
Elementalist

Manipulating walls of flame, conjuring storms of wind and bending waves of water; these shinobi are masters of their element, and are able to alter the form and shape of their jutsu to suit their needs at a moments notice. When combating them, their element is their weapon of choice.

Information
Prerequisites: A Major Affinity

Effect:
- The user may now use a Major Affinity Move and a Minor Affinity move upon a single Jutsu (Up to B Rank) Both affinity moves must be different, and the user must have a Major Affinity in the Element.
- Cannot stack either Channeling ability.

Her drive waned, but her Hyperactivity had not failed her yet! Chiyoko sprung to her feet after her physical-activity-break ended, night seemed to be falling soon as the sun began to set leaving the area bathed in a burnt orange aura. It was time to practice offensive abilities! At least for a little while. Ninjutsu was her best subject when it came to the offensive arts, so it seemed her best course was to throw out some elemental jutsu. Having recently gained a proclivity over the urf, yes the urf not the earth, element along with her ability to channel lightning fairly well. Soooo, what the Hell, why not try to combine the two into some odd jutsu of urfy-lightning-y goodness. Her small hands reached down into the soil beneath her gathering a ball into her hands and attempting to charge it with lightning, hoping to create a grenade of sorts. Which she did, unfortunately. The damnable ball blew up in her hand spraying dirt across her clothes and face...."Well...That...At least no one's here to see that.<i></i>" Chiyoko muttered to herself, as she attempted to clean the mess off. Of course after a few more attempts the ball didn't blow up in her hand and seemed to detonate a few yards from where she chucked it, though it did sit on the ground for a few seconds previous to going off...She would work the kinks out later, but it seemed she was making progress.

Training: Jutsu Mastery
Jutsu Mastery

The user knows their jutsu inside and out; they have such a complete understanding that they know how to conserve as much chakra use as possible and still obtain the same results as a less skilled shinobi would using far more energy.

Information
Prerequisites: C-Rank

Effect:
- All Jutsu cost -10% Chakra, this includes Maintains.
- All Chakra cost penalties from choosing to use 'Special Actions' are halved.

Notes:
- Example: A Special Action that requires 20% of the CP paid, would now cost 10% of the CP paid.

Moar Ninjutsu training! Moar, I say!...

Uh, yeah.

It seemed that while she had focused on the elements in her previous training her next session would be maximizing the efficiency of her Jutsu in hopes that it would be less exertion upon her. If there was less exertion that meant she could use more attacks and cause more damage, a win win situation if there ever was one. Now it seemed she would have to figure out how to do that, it couldn't be as simple as focusing more on her preparation and hand-signs, could it? Well, it could/can/is, she figured pretty quickly that maximizing efficiency was as simple as taking a few more milli-seconds focusing upon the jutsu and making sure that everything was to perfection. It really was that easy it seemed. Wellllll, that was rather simple.
