Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The sound of heels could be heard clicking through the echoing chambers. Finely pressed linens were folded and tucked to perfection. White gowns with cowls and dark grey under garments, perfectly selected for the two Chikamatsu pupils coming to officially take their roles as Medics-in-Trainings. Two Hosa modeled Homunculi were flanking Kankoshi as she walked down the halls. Their garments were identical to that of the stack of clothing that each synthetic woman was carrying. Kankoshi, as well as every other Kankoshi in the building, we’re an identical uniform but the grey was substituted with a blue tone.

Kankoshi would approach the front of the Omni Prime Medical Facility with a flat neutral face, as most of the Honunculi carried when not administering aid. Each of the Hosa stood about a yard or so behind the Kankoshi that was clearly in charge of the current situation. Her gown was pristine without a single blemish to be seen. Her clothing seemed to be professionally steamed and starched to give her an almost porcelain doll appearance. Her snow white skin was free of all blemishes and discoloration. She truly appeared to be a perfect creation. She lacked all of the personality that made Sora special.

There she stood. There she would wait for Chikamatsu Ayame and Chikamatsu Toyoko to arrive and begin their instructions.

Arriving on time this time, Ayame would show up to her required medical training after having failed her exam, along with the rest of her class. Atleast she wasn't the only one, Ayame couldn't bare to imagine the shame she'd have had she been the only one to fail out of the rest of her classmates. She walked along the path towards the medical facility as she pondered about who else would show up. Her pace slows down as she realized she may see Toyoko, and then started to wonder how she was doing since the day of our exam. She started to feel a guilty about not trying as much as she could have to reach out to her cousin. She had stopped by only a couple of times just to drop off a meal or do a quick check up, but she always kept it short. She hadn't really known how to talk to her, or anyone in her former class after the last event about what happened. Everything just felt tense and awkward, it was almost as if nobody wanted to talk about what happened during the exam, or.. maybe it was just Ayame that didn't want to talk about it with anyone.

She'd approach the Medical Facility and take a quick short breath before opening the doors and entering inside. She would hope that this would be a good fresh start. After the exam, she took more time to train and get to know the spirit that was fused with her on that day. It was a part of her that gave her more confidence and feel safe. It balanced out her anxiousness and gave her the reassurance she needed to trust in herself more. She was determined to take her studies even more seriously, determined to be useful to her comrades. Despite this being a requirement of their failing, Ayame was still excited for this next chapter. A part of her even hoped she may form some friendships this time around.

"Hello Miss, Chikamatsu Ayame present for training."

”Hello. I am glad you have found the waypoint.“ She looked at one of the Hosas with her. ”It appears Lady Toyoko is running behind schedule. Upon her arrival please expedite the tour and bring her to my location. I need to begin with Lady Ayame.“

She looked back to Ayame as the Hosa that was not addressed approached her and would hand her the nursing gowns.

”Lady Ayame, these will be your uniforms while you attend your classes with me as your instructor. Additionally, while you are working in the Omni Prime Medical Facility as a Medical Kunoichi in Training please wear this garment as well so that our guests know that you are not a fully fledged Medical Kunoichi. Do you have any questions thus far?“

She would wait a moment to see if there were any questions that Ayame may have. If there were no more questions she would briskly turn around and begin walking through the Omni Prime Medical Facility and pointing out the various locations such as the Mednin Supply Closet, Aide Station, Check-In, Pharmaceutical Pick-Up, Alchemists’ Workshop, Nursery, and other locations that the MiTs would need to know to work effectively while at the Omni Prime Medical Facility.

The last location to be pointed out would be the Asylum.

”Our final location on our tour today is the Asylum where we house both those needing assistance with the mental illness and disorders, but also those who have been deemed Criminally Insane and are too dangerous to remain imprisoned with the general populations.“ Her face remained flat.

”Before we enter, a few rules. No eye contact with anyone within these halls, even with me as some of these patients are Shinobi and can be incredibly deceptive. Though many of them are on an chakra suppressant and wear chakra-depleting collars, we at the Omni Prime Medical Facility wish for you to remain safe at all times. Additionally do not speak to any of the patients and only respond to my questions with non-verbal body language such as a nod or hand gesture. Verbal confirmation of under the influence of a Genjutsu could deactivate a lock, and while you are still training to be a Medical Kunoichi you may find that your mental fortitude may still be lacking. Are you ready to enter?“

Toyoko lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling, still in shock after the events of the exam that had taken her sister's life. She hadn't left her room in weeks. Ayame tried to stop by several times, bringing her food and leaving it at the door when she refused to get out of bed or acknowledge that she was there. What was the point? It was all her fault that her sister had died, and she didn't want to reopen the wound anymore than it already was. She rolled onto her side and stared at the door, wondering what Sora would do in this situation. Probably yell at her, call her a filthy peasant, and tell her to get off of her ass and get to the class that Shin had required her to take as a requirement after the exam had finished.

Sighing to herself, she sat up and scratched her head. Or rather, rubbed her paw against her head. She still wasn't used to her new body, and didn't think that she ever would. To be living as a teddy bear was once a dream of hers, but now the reality had set in and she was horrified. What would the general populace make of her new appearance? Would they be shocked, scared, or worse would they look upon her with pity? That was the last thing that she wanted to deal with.

Getting up, Toyoko finally made her decision. Sora would kick her ass if she saw her lying in bed, mourning her, rather than taking on her responsibility as a member of the Chikamatsu Clan. She hurriedly threw on a cloak, left her room, and headed for the front of the Omni Prime Medical Facility where she found a pair of homunculi waiting for her. "Chikamatsu Toyoko, reporting for training."

The identical Homunculi would bow to Toyoko and speak in unison.

"Good Morning, Toyoko-sama"

As they stood back up the Hosa model which held the gown would approach Toyoko and extend their arms out to her. The outfit being presented was identical to the ones that they were wearing.

"If you would please, this shall be your uniform while you are in training. Feel free to wear your own garments while working shifts as you have been, Toyoko-sama, but while class is in session we shall insist you dress appropriately."

They would hesitate and wait a moment to see if Toyoko would take the garments or not or to see if she had any questions. If she didn't they would continue down the halls to meet up with Kankoshi.

"Since you have worked here before, it would be repetitive to give you a grand tour of the facilities. We are heading to the Asylum for your class today. We will be approaching the Kankoshi soon."

"Yes of course, thank you." Ayame held out her arms to take the neatly folded uniform and garment and would shake her head to suggest no questions at this point. Ayame took mental notes as she followed along for the tour. She was amazed with how fully stocked the supply closet was, I mean it was the primary medical facility but still, she was impressed with how prepared and organized it was. Ayame took particular interest in the Aide Station, Alchemists' Workshop, and the Nursery. She was confident in her memory to know where to find these areas if she ever needed to. Finally they stopped in front of the Asylum. She listened tentatively to her instructions. They were strict, and that made Ayame feel nervous, but she knew it was necessary that they take all precautions possible. She's gone against some scary things this far but she has yet to come across a genjutsu attack used against her. She was wondering what it would be like in there, but was worried it'd be too risky if she let her curiosity get the best of her and have her look around. She was specifically told no direct eye contact and she didn't want to find out what would happen if she did. Ayame could start to feel her nerves coming back, the pressure building up. What if I mess up? What if someone attacks? What if I accidentally make eye contact? At this point she was really hoping Toyoko had been there at this time. The thought of not being alone and having a familiar face was what she was really needing right now. But, she had to trust the Kankoshi leading her right now, and the rest of the medical staff, knowing they would do their best to keep her safe if anything were to go wrong in there. She put on a brave face and nodded as she understood what was expected of her once they entered through the asylum doors.

Toyoko reached out and took the uniform that was provided for her, struggling to get it around her bulky body. It took a few minutes, but she finally secured it and nodded to the Kankoshi that she was ready to continue. Obviously, as stated, she didn't need a tour of the facilities. She was quite familiar with them, having been working here since Shin adopted her. The Asylum, however, she had been warned not to enter alone. So she was excited to see what this new area held for her. As they walked quietly down the halls together, she tried to keep her gaze straight ahead and ignore all of the stares and whispers that followed her wherever she went.

Finally, arriving outside of the Asylum, Toyoko rushed up to Ayame and the Kankoshi that was giving her a set of instructions. "Sorry that I'm late. I overslept and missed the beginning of the class. I promise that it won't happen again, and that I am prepared for whatever we are learning today. Good morning to you, as well, Ayame. It has been quite some time since we last saw each other, how are you? Hopefully you've been well." She bowed to the Kankoshi and gave a small smile to her cousin standing beside her, clasping her hands behind her back and gripping them tightly. She and Ayame had seen each other a few times since the exam, but they kept the visits short. They hadn't yet broached the topic of what had happened during the exam, skirting around it as though mentioning it would force them to relive those events. So instead, Toyoko had kept the conversations on safe topics, such as classes and the weather. She felt bad for dumping all of the food that Ayame had been bringing to her, but with the new body, she didn't have a need to eat. She figured that if she told Ayame, her cousin would feel bad and bringing the plates probably gave her a sense of purpose; therefore, she dutifully acted as though she was eating them, if only to make her cousin feel better.

"Miss Toyoko, It is fortunate that you have worked in the Omni Prime Medical Facility, even before your enrollment into the Medical Shinobi in Training program and have been shown the facilities by your father, as the tour I was instructed to provide to Miss Ayame has come to it's completion."

She would pause as Toyoko would address Ayame before continuing.

"My apologies Miss Toyoko, if you could refrain from idle chatter until the completion of the class it would allow for a more effective learning environment for you peer. While I can see why it would be a wonderful idea to become friends with your fellow Medical Shinobi in Training, please do so outside of the allotted time for instruction. Thank you for your cooperation."

She walked into the asylum and expected the students to follow. Gesturing to the various aspects of the asylum she would continue the class.

"In the Asylum we not only house and strive to balance the medications of those within our community that require medical intervention based on behavioral, social-emotional, developmental, and mental diagnoses such as disorders, diseases, or complexes, but the Omni Prime Medical Facility we also house those whom have been tried and convicted as criminally insane, though in a different wing than the standard patients. Many of our `Criminally Insane` patients are ex-shinobi and ex-kunoichi so make sure you are aware of your surroundings at all times. If you are used by a patient and act against the influence of the Omni Prime Medical Facility you will be discharged from your training as a Medical Shinobi in Training. You will at most be considered to be a Medical Assistant, but your Ninjutsu Trainings in the Medical Branch will come to an end, unfortunately. Please be careful as this is not the end goal that the branch has for the two of you. Is this clear?"

She would guide them into a room in the back side of the open area within the Asylum. Stepping in they would see a remedial hospital room.

"This is where the training will begin. We will be having the class within this training room of the Asylum as the walls here are soundproof."
