Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The medical kunoichi listlessly tidies up various vanilla folders, clearing her workspace for the vistor's she expects in due time. In recent light of the Medical Branch unexpectedly surging in population, it was becoming difficult to traverse and properly oversee all her colleagues; Minamoto Suyashi was currently occupied with other affairs and Mikasa allowing his traversing. The purpose of the summoning was to openly discuss the future of the branch and which direction the members wish for, the Sennin never intended to make decisions on her own unless forced to do so.

Concerning her appearance, her platinum mane tidy in a braid, her normal spectacles snug on the bridge of her nose, and her ivory coat providing warmth in the slightly chilly office space. Directly behind the maiden, the bay window allows viewing access to the patient garden, heavy droplets of water pitter patter and give a relaxing tone. Naturally, the kunoichi leans back to absorb herself in the pleasantry of simpler items in life. Tingles streak through her body, goose bumps form beneath her attire as a melancholy grin is born. "I pray that this goes as smoothly as I envision in my head." she muses aloud, tenderly clasping her hands on her lap.

Earlier in the morning, the duo would have been informed by the faceless to appear before the Medical Branch head and nearing her office would they be met with the fragrance of lilies, subtle, however pleasing to the senses. The door itself was ajar and awaiting the medical shinobi would be the simplicity of a fruit bowl and a pitcher of orange juice if they wished to indulge themselves during their discussion. Mikasa wasn't one to beat around the bush, thus she didn't perceive the conversation lasting more than an hour or so - mostly to not wishing to take up what little free time the villagers currently had.

The soft tap of rain was over Konoha today. It wasn't like a downpour, but more like only a small amounts of rain coming down. Ziren was engrossed in a book, at the library when someone approached him. They told him that he was to be summoned, and so he did as he was told.

The thought that something might be wrong filled the Chigokai's mind, but it then soothed when he caught the fragrance of some flowers. Lillies perhaps. Either way, it had calmed him down as he entered the Byoin.

He wore his usual attire, now more looking like a scholar or a professor, especially with his eye glasses. His clothes were a little bit wet from the small bit of rain, but otherwise, they would dry up by the time he gets where he needs to be in the Byoin. He went to his office real quick and put on his Medical Ninja Uniform and followed the sound of his Sennin's blood flow. Eventually, very quickly, he navigated and found his way to Mikasa's Office.

He opened the door all the way and seen Mikasa sitting in her chair and a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of orange juice was on the desk.

"A pleasure to see you again, Mikasa-sama. Is there anything I can do for you?"

Under normal circumstances, the Sennin would await for the additional figure to join the duo; however for the meantime it wouldn't hurt to begin explaining the reasoning behind the abrupt meeting. Gesturing for the medical shinobi to take a seat, Mikasa pours herself a glass of the refreshing beverage and thus taking a brief sip. A faint clacking would indicate the contact between the bottom and the oak wood desktop, "I have been surveying closely and your eagerness to aid those around you." she admits with a faint grin.

Clasping her hands together on the tabletop, cerulean eyes narrow onto the Chigokai, "As you may or may not know, Suyashi-san is out of the village doing research and thus leaving a void that I have been wishing to fill." she indicates, "We have discussed several times for your personal wishes of teaching medics combat specialist classes." the kunoichi continues to elude towards. Truthfully the maiden was not the best with these particular types of conversations, but she had grown to trust Ziren, "Especially with the circumstances we are currently facing, I aim to have two Medical Chiefs, one leading research and the other a combat focused group." she murmurs in a vocally warmth tone.

Unclasping her hands, she gestures towards him, "I can not think of a more suited individual to take over a new project, thus I am hoping you are willing to accept the title of Medical Chief, Medical Combat head, and the responsibilities this will entail to." Mikasa eyes him furthermore, cutting straight to the chase of the conversation. Clearing her throat as a means to halt him from speaking, "If you are not interested, I fully understand and if that is the case you may take your leave and continue about your normal duties." Although, the Sennin was certain he wouldn't walk out of the office, at least not at this particular moment.

Ziren waited, as he listened to what the Medical Sennin had to say. And it seemed that she was waiting for another to come. But soon, she has explained of why she has summoned him.

And what she had laid out for him was a lot to take in. First, talking about Sushi and him out and about, doing some research, leaving a spot on a job to fill. She then followed it up with Ziren's wish to further the Medical Branches in terms of their own combat. Ziren could feel his own heart pounding against his chest, as he is thinking of what she is offering.

And then she talked about having two Medical Chiefs, one that goes into research, the other into combat. And that's when she said it. She wants him to hold the title of Medical Chief, Medical Combat Head. He was about to say yes, when she then added, if he doesn't want to, then he won't have to.

A wide grin came upon his face and he said, "Are you kidding? Of course I accept this responsibility. I will live up to this title, I promise you, Mikasa-sama." Then a few thoughts came to his mind. "A few questions. First, who will be the other Medical Chief? And secondly, I presume that I will mostly be out on the field with others to help with missions or no? Will I be watching over as all Medical Ninja have at least some kind of combat experience and they themselves feel comfortable of their own combat skills? What will you expect of me to do, as I fill this role in, as my core responsibilities?"

He picked up one of the fruits that was in the fruit basket, a green apple, and bit down on the fresh fruit.

The quiet coolness of his laboratory eased his weary soul as his focus was aimed towards a rather difficult scenario. Once again a medical challenge had been brought forward to him and, as an undead researcher who didn’t sleep nor eat, he methodically delved deeper and deeper into the darkness of ignorance, finding that its depths were limitless.

Realising that once again his focus had drifted from the task at hand into uncharted and impossible territory, he blinked his eyes rapidly in an attempt to regain that focus. He drew back from the microscope as his mind compartmentalised the information the tissue sample had given to him.

A small knock on the door came, and as Migoya turned his saw once of his assistants. “Migoya-san - Mikasa-sama has requested a meeting with you.”

Migoya gave a small smile and nodded as he gingerly rose to his feet. “Thank you. Please let her know I am on my way.” After making sure the tissue sample was returned to its containment, he pulled off his rubber gloves and removed his sterile outfit after leaving the laboratory.

It wasnt long before he stood in front of the Sennin’s doorway, knocking politely before pushing open the already ajar door. Mikasa was there as well as Ziren - the dark sage that clearly didn’t trust him very much. Normally the keen-eyed Myakashi would have picked up the remnants of conversation that might have lingered in the room, but Migoya’s mind was currently calculating several issues, both medical and Myakashi, and as such as he entered he only heard the last part’s of Ziren’s words.

“What will you expect of me to do, as I fill this role in, as my core responsibilities?"

Migoya gave Mikasa a bow, clearing his throat polietly, before speaking. “Apologies Mikasa-sama, Ziren-san. I believed there was a matter you wished to discuss with me. I am happy to wait outside until your discussions are over.”

Ziren was a med-nin like himself, he had found out, and thought it was funny that someone so… well… devoted to Kenshin had changed to a more suitable profession. Perhaps that had annoyed the Main Branch Sennin. Migoya certainly hoped so. In any event it seemed he had been given more responsibilities - good. The man had a rough background, and was loyal to the village it seemed. One of those who would sacrifice themselves for an ideal. It was smart for Mikasa to… use him. Perhaps Migoya’s opinion of the man would change if he saw him in action.

Migoya stood by the doorway waiting for any signs as to what Mikasa wished of him.

The Chigokai medical shinobi did't hesitate to accept the title of Medical Chief; however Mikasa never once conceived to the notion he would turn down the offer. Clasping her hands together, a thin grin spreads across her features as her eyes come to a closure. "Excellent, I am relieved to -" the kunoichi is cut off by the abrupt barrage of inquiries. Leisurely Mika'sa hands unpart, waving gingerly in means of calming down the newly crowned medical chief. Fortunately a knocking on the office door would silence the pair momentarily. Swiftly the Sennin rises to her feet, the ivory hair male arriving a tad bit late; however better than never.

"Migoya-san, I am glad that you were able to break from your research." she comments with a sly grin, the pair had begun to have silent conversations between themselves, a rarity in the village. "No, no. Please do come, this concerns you as well." she begins with gesturing towards the Chigokari red mage, "Ziren-san has just been appointed to Medical Chief, and with his light background in the Main Branch - as well as ANBU, he will be leading the combat focused section. Fitting, no?" she inquires with a chuckle. "We are in dire times with the Shimogakure situation and this was a necessary change to our system, he will be focusing on continuing his aid in the academy and branch overall." she explains, as well as hopefully informing Ziren of his new duties.

"We will be having medical personnel on standby for missions and ensuring our village squads overall safety. Ziren-san will be helming this particular project." she settles back into her chair, waving her sole leather gloved hand towards a vacant spot for the new arrival to nestle into. "Migoya-san is a veteran of research. His critical thinking skills are top notch, as well as research findings are nothing to scuff at. Which is why I wish for him to take command of the researching division, although it may seem rushed - our situation calls for a right and left hand."

Not even when he was finished speaking, he heard the blood flow. It seemed familiar, but he couldn't place it. That is, until a more recognizable voice was spoken, and Mikasa putting a name to the face.

Migoya, the man seemed, different than most others Ziren has met, for one, he could hear the blood pumping in not just one heart but five of them that is inside this one man. It reminds him of a relative he has, one in which is a Chigokai, and has five hearts, now that was an interesting meeting for him.

And then Mikasa has told him about Ziren's promotion. And of why he is in the position, or rather a section of a position that he is in. "I have served in the ANBU for quite some time. Though, please keep this information inside this office and not a word spoken from your lips otherwise. Even as an ex ANBU, I'd like to keep those who I know in secret, as for my past as well. Can't let the enemy find any kind of invaluable information. But anyways, yes, I have fought, I have killed. And I have lived through it. And now, I want to ensure that other people, will make it out alive." He just hopes this man can keep a simple secret. One, that if told, could be bad for everyone.

The wry smile was reflected back. “Nothing broken that can’t be fixed,” he said calmly. “I will have a report on your desk in the morning pertaining to Kotori-chan’s results, and hopefully we can come to a suitable treatment plan.”

Keen ears listened carefully to Mikasa’s words, finding hidden meanings amidst the tone and the inflection. She spoke of Ziren’s advancement, and his newfound responsibilities within the branch. A former ANBU, Ziren would bring much to the combat expertise of the med-nin, and a more specialised focus on that would increase both capability and recruitment within the branch itself. The man, from Myakashi reports, also had the respect of the young in the village - or at least was working on it.

She also spoke of having the need for a right and left hand… suggesting that he was also going to be ‘elevated’ to be in charge of research. Part of Migoya was naturally flattered, yet suspicious - yet he knew the role would be perfect for him. A place for him to conduct research for the betterment of the village, as well as travel to obtain further information… Perfect. The offer had not been given clearly yet though, so he would remain silent as to his acceptance.

He gave the Chikogai a small smile, inclining his head in a small but respectful bow.

“Congratulations Ziren-san, a fine choice. Should you require any assistance, you need only ask. I am also in the process of researching portable healing seals for triage use and should I find them successful I hope they will be of help to you.”

Perhaps Ziren would take him up on the offer for help, and offer once given to Takeshi and Kenshin and thrown back in his face. Their loss.

Looking at one of the empty seats, Migoya moved as silent as a shadow before sitting on its arm, his crimson eyes looking at Mikasa as his brow furrowed in a measure of concern. Indeed, Migoya knew that there was something… different. Something heavy in the air, and if this trio were going to work together, a measure of honesty and clarity was required.

“Mikasa… you speak as if there is something else going on… more than the eminent attack I mean. Something… concerns you. What is it that causes such rapid changes? Is there something that Ziren and I should be aware of?”

Ziren was swift to disclose the information regarding his past, yet in truth he was nothing above the entry ranking level. Never the least, the medical kunoichi appreciated the gesture of opening himself towards his fellow colleague. A thin grin would surface on the features of the kunoichi, "Fantastic, I admire how swiftly you dedicated yourself to looking into the Uchiha Kotori situation, Migoya-san. I look forward to reading through your findings." she responds in a chipper tone, observing the Nara slither into a sitting position on the arm of a vacant chair.

Regrettably, not much escaped the iron clad mind of Migoya, however Mikasa wouldn't wish for him to be any other way; creativity and a sharp mind was a rarity in the village of Konohagakure. "These are not items that I am attempting to guise, however the initial reasoning for this change is that our branch is growing at a rapid rate in recent months. Such extent that I am unable to keep tabs on all that is occurring and in the past this were never an issue." she begins in a calm tone, glancing between the two shinobi. "I had always planned on having two or three Medical Chiefs, similar to the ANBU Captain system, I never found those within the branch I felt suitable until recently."

Crossing her arms, she awaits for any potential additional inquiries, despite Migoya eluding towards an unknown statement needing to surface. Once more, the Nara was on the mark and in that moment the maiden realized how she often had struggled with those within the same realm of intellectual prowess. "This statement will be kept under wraps to various degrees, but the less lengthier version is that Lord Hokage Uchiha Takeshi has taken a temporary leave of absence. Until his return, Yuu Kenshin-san, of Main Branch, and myself will be acting as temporary co-Hokage." pausing she raises her hand to hush any inquiries, "Despite my best efforts, he took his leave without reason. I do not wish during this time for any further issues to arise. Kenshin-san is not an individual I see eye to eye with, thus I wish to focus as much as possible as ensuring nothing goes amiss." she admits.

Ziren listened as the two before him spoke. He himself has only met Kotori once, and that was when she had ran away to Tea for a bit. Thankfully he talked her back into going back to Leaf.

Migoya then talked about bringing in a project of sorts on to the battlefield. Some kind of portable healing seal. "I will allow this, but before they are put in the battlefield I would like to know, one hundred percent sure that these will not have any bad side effects. Because even if a small bad symptom were to occur during battle, it could prove fatal for our people. Once they are good, then they can be sent out to our teams on the front lines."

And then things took a left turn. Migoya stated something, like he feels as if Mikasa was holding something back, like something was heavy on her mind. And then the Sennin explained what was happening. Takeshi? He decided to leave during this whole mess?

"What the absolute fuck." He said. He might have said it in a calm demeanor, but there was a certain edge in his voice that neither Mikasa nor Migoya could deny as anger. His fists clenched tightly, the left arm, the metal one, started to make sounds like metal being scratched at, while the right hand, the actual hand, dug into his skin until blood started to appear. He didn't let his whole anger out, seeming as he could effect other people's blood, or even their souls. In a few seconds he gained his composure as he listened on to the rest of what Mikasa had to say. Her and Kenshin are acting as Hokage for right now. And her being on not so good terms with the Main Branch Sennin.

"Sorry. If either of you felt a certain uncomfortable feeling in your blood. Me and the current Hokage are not on good terms. What he has done, made me lose what little trust I had in him. He's the reason that I'm." Ziren reached his right hand up to grab his left metal arm. With a single tug it came off. He set the metal arm down on the desk. "Yeah. As for Kenshin, I am on good terms with. So if for any reason you need a mediator or an ambassador of sorts, I will see what I can do to help out." Ziren didn't bother to reattach his metal arm back into place.

"But as for the current Hokage. I have made a promise to myself to not give a shit of what he's done, as long as he doesn't endanger anyone in Leaf. But then Nitish... I hated that I had to talk with Kenshin and a little girl who has seen Nitish's death. Tell her of why that has happened. Made myself sound like a bad guy, even when telling her that if the current academy students that have been wreaking havoc everywhere they go will end up like Nitish. And now this." The Medical Chief ran his existing hand through his blue hair, now staying silent, as he looked at the metal arm that he has created some years back to compensate for having lost a limb. The blood that is permanently in his eyes swirled around fast.

Allow this?!? Who the hells does he think he is?

A small 'impression' of his erstwhile companion seemed to titter with laughter in the heads of the Sennin and Ziren as a small wooden puppet crawled out of his snow-white hood to sit on Migoya's shoulder. What a dickhead... you offered help and he's like 'oh, I'll allow it on certain conditions'. Can I take his face off? The voice would be incredibly strange to those who had not heard it before, akin to liquid being poured through ice in a glass as it permeated their minds.

Migoya's face was impassive despite Mikki's rambling, ignoring yet another insult and slap in the face by yet again another young try-hard. He moved a pale hand up to the puppet, holding onto him to prevent him from jumping onto Ziren's face.

"Mikki... how can we expect others to be polite if we are not polite in turn? Mikasa-sama, Ziren - this is Mikki."

The puppet was still fuming, casting a vicious glance, well as vicious as a faceless puppet could make, towards the Med-Chief. His 'voice' seemed as if it were being uttered through clenched teeth. Nice glasses Mikasokasa. Ziren is it... next time say thanks you ungrateful piece of...

"Ahem. Apologies... Mikasa-sama you were saying?"

Part of Migoya wanted to like and even trust this Ziren to a certain extent, but if the boy kept slapping away his proffered hand, even unintentionally with misplaced words, it would do nothing to build any sort of relationship. No... if the boy now wanted his help, he would beg for it.

It was then that Mikasa responded to the pair the true issue that now lay before them. Nodding gravely at her words, and those followed by Ziren - who surprised him with the common disdain they had for their 'leader', he rose to his feet as silently as a shadow and walked to one of the many flowers that graced the Sennins office, holding its petals in a gentle, pale hand.

"Part of me would like to believe that Takeshi is either drawing out potential rivals by absconding and letting them reveal themselves, or he is trying to divert the fury of the Frost shinobi's attack away from the village proper. In actuality and having met the... many faces of our Hokage, he is probably making a selfish jaunt at an inopportune time to wash his hands, so to speak, of any actual responsibility."

His gaze quickly rested on Ziren's metallic arm, knowing full well that he had the capability of restoring his limb... but knowing that offering to do so would simply be rebuffed again.

It was rare for the Myakashi leader to speak his actual thoughts, without the need of twisting shadows, intentional bait, or slippery words. However, there was no time nor need to be careful about his words now.

"At least he made a wise decision on who to.. replace him. At least the half-wit got it half-right."

He turned to face Mikasa, his crimson gaze looking at her with a mixture of concern and... was it curiosity?

"Mikasa-sama. Both Ziren and I are capable of running this branch whilst you focus on the work of the Hokage... and fixing Kenshin's mistakes. Unlike Ziren, I am not schooled in the Kenshin school of diplomacy, having neither prominent abdominal muscles nor a shiny gold sash. I once offered him and the Hokage the opportunity to organise an internal intelligence organisation, but both simply could not be bothered learning about it and dismissed it."

The eyes turned to Ziren.

"That, Ziren, is why Kenshin wanted you to watch over me... Why Takeshi wanted that. But now you have the opportunity to see who they really are... what they were and are trying to hide."

They returned to the Sennin.

"In any event, the branch will be protected Mikasa-sama - and the services of my clan are yours."

Frigid translucent vocals interlope with the stray thin zephyrs rolling through the room, tundra orbs fixate on the inanimate object; rather the work of puppetry. Previous suspicions during her previous encounters with the albino turn out to hold various truths, the fluidity of the movement was a bit farfetched to be merely controlled chakra strings. Wishing to not be rude, she bows her head gently, "Pleasure to see you again, Mikki-san." the Sennin greets in a gentle tone. Not missing a beat, she turns her attention to ZIren, "While I understand your frustrations, we must not allow them to impede our work or the positive impacting we have on the village as a whole." she continues in her usual whimsical tone.

The alloy arm being unattached didn't bother the kunoich in the slightest, a bit of an unusual type of prosthetic; however being in this particular field was an unsurprising item. "Allow me to clarify, this isn't to state that I have difficulties with Yuu Kenshin-san, I merely do not agree with philosophies, but I am able to work with him if the situation calls for it." she restates towards Ziren. Concerning Migoya, she had previously stated her feelings of the subject and did not feel the need to once again elaborate.

Truthfully she wished to chuckle at the words of the Myakashi clan head. instead a smirk would momentarily slip to the surface of her features. "As we discussed prior, I value brains over brawn." she responds in a light tone, nodding her head faintly. "Of course you two have my full faith that you will do justice for our branch. Ziren-san, I have already entailed what is expected of you." a brief pause, "Migoya-san, the research department is in your hands and to those you deem fit to enter as well. Any promotion to the rank of medical personnel is to your discretion, this item being to the both of you. I have faith that a medical chief is capable of giving entry level exams as well as into the ranking of a full fledged medic."

Extending her hand forward, she claps a hold of her beverage to sip orange juice in between their conversations. "Does anyone have an further inquires while we still have the time? Nothing is off the table."

Ziren heard a small voice, it was squeeky, and very much rude. He raised an eyebrow, of not hearing a blood flow to go with the voice, to see a small puppet on Migoya's shoulder. He decided to ignore the puppet, since it only seems to be just all about insulting and nothing else.

He listened and waited as they both spoke. "Aye. I will put this behind, for right now. For the better of the Village. As for you, Migoya. Congrats on being the Research Medical Chief."

And then Mikasa asked them if there were any other things they wished to discuss. "Any idea of how we can all talk in private right now? I'm not asking for any of you to leave, but I have something to get off my chest, but am wary in case there are prying eyes or ears." He looked at the two of them. He could summon Anyu and have him do something, but he wouldn't know how they would react if he just decided to do something out of the blue.

"Thank you Ziren-san." Migoya said with a slight smile of gratitude at the other Chief Med-nin's congratulations. Certainly the two had vastly different opinions and values, but their combined wish to see the village become better would overcome their distrust of one another.

Ziren then asked to speak more... confidentially. What this usually meant was that the person was going to say what they actually wanted to say but held back.

Migoya nodded, putting his hands in front of him to show that he was about to use a jutsu. "I am going to place us somewhere that no-one, save myself, can pry or watch. Please do not be concerned."

Certainly, this particular jutsu required no handseals, but he did not want to concern those around him unnecessarily. Slowly the room around them would fade into darkness, the shadows seemingly drawn into Migoya before oozing out around the room, leaving the three of them in a dark, shadowy landscape where all that Mikasa and Ziren could see would be themselves and Migoya. The void was cold and seemed to promise an eternity of nothingness if it was able to grab onto them, yet it held back as if by an unseen force. [Shadow Dimension - Nara. Not causing damage to Mikasa or Ziren]

"That should suffice. A temporal void into the Shadow realm - don't worry, you are safer here than in Konoha. Speak your mind Ziren-san - you have my word that it shall not leave this place from me." Migoya was a liar when he needed to be, but he seldom gave oaths that he did not intend to keep, especially if someone gave him their trust.

Ziren could feel a but cold from the darkness that now surrounded him. It reminded him of when Maru had made a puppet out of a Nara body. Or when his ghostly companion, Anyu, when he is in a reanimated body.

But he didn't let anything sway him. Now that they had some protection from any wandering in people, or sneaky eavesdroppers, Ziren let out a small sigh.

A single hand seal was performed, and his whole physical appearance changed. No longer did he have semi long blue hair, but it was now cut a bit, and now brown. His skin was no longer white, but more on the side of light skin, as if he has spent numerous hours out in the sun. A single hand went up to pull the glasses off, to show the two watching him, that he is the real Ziren. For he can never get rid of his permanent bloodified eyes. They have no irises, but actually have blood constantly swirling around.

"I haven't really shown my new self to anyone. Kept it secret for a long time, ever since I heard of the possible threat of another Village wanting to harm all that I have here. It went from possible, to when. Given my... History. I think it was time to put on a new face just in case they found out about me, they would only be looking for the only blue haired shinobi in the Leaf. Putting on a new face, means they would think twice before trying to come in contact with a quote, 'new player' on the field."

He stopped speaking, waiting for their response, and then proceeded. "I ask that none of you speak of my changes outside of this shadow realm. Please."

The kunoichi medical lead glances about her, shadows begin to creep and cage the trio in an entirely alternative zone. Curiously she prods the outer lining with her pinky, familiar with Nara techniques; however, admittedly, it had been a significant amount of time since her last encounter. Ultimately Mikasa was satisified not a single soul would be able to audibly hear their unfolding conversation.

Ziren's speech left the Sennin initially speechless, the azure hair shinobi held himself in higher regard than she thought. Unfortunately there were several flaws in his speech and as his guiding mentor, she would have to correct his train of thought. "Ziren-san, I say this with the utmost respect I can. No one is aware of your new status outside those within this space. Prior, you were an ANBU in Training. What I mean to say is, you have nothing to fear, for I doubt that Shimogakure intelligence has any information on those within either branch outside of the exposed higher ranking members - regardless of your personal accomplishments." she begins with an inquisitive look.

"Do you understand why most look down on the Medical Branch? We are labeled as menders, those who heal on the battle field and provide no actual advantage outside of mending the wounds on those stronger." a pause would ensue, "This is where most will be left vulnerable, for we are not weak. In fact, I dare say we are the strongest within the village, for we are critical thinkers who understand how to combat intellectually. That is what we have to use as a vantage point, never forget that even if you are disregarded that in itself is the enemies worst mistake." she finalizes before silencing herself. The conversation didn't need to go on any further, at least in her opinion.

Migoya watched as Ziren removed his disguise. It was an effective one, but would have been rather taxing to maintain. Something more permanent could be arranged if he had asked.

"Oh - thats it? No offense, but people hunting us down tends to be part of the job," Migoya said with a sad smile. "Nice disguise. A bottle of hair dye works wonders, and will save you some chakra."

Mikasa then gave her own appraisal of the situation, with Migoya nodding understanding in support. He then added his own thoughts.

"Hmm. I am not one to disagree with you Mikasa-sama but Shimogakure has demonstrated an uncanny knowledge about us. We still do not even know why they are attacking us in the first place, and I doubt we ever will. On the other hand, there are many who have underestimated a med-nin's ability on the field, though few are still alive."

He let out a sigh.

"But... given that we are being open, there is something I need to get off my chest. If the Hokage is leaving the village during an invasion, it would be in the best interests of the village to put forth a motion of no confidence. I am tired of his selfishness. The mantle of Hokage is a sacred trust, not something you 'earn' and give away at a moments notice because you get bored of it. If he, they, want to leave, then do so officially and promptly so the rest of us can get on with our own work without fearing that a moron is pulling the strings... There needs to be a jonin council called."

There. He said it. And he probably would be fired now.

When Mikasa said that he had nothing to fear, as he is most likely someone who was looked over. "I know. But I am one to take a lot of precautions. Guess you can take the person out of the branch, but you can never take the Branch out of the person, haha." The Medical Chief joked.

But he would take what the Sennin said to heart. Even if the Frost to know who he was before, they would only see a blue haired man who was often undermined by some other people, made to not only look, but also feel weak.

Ziren is not who he was so long ago. He was thankful for Migoya's response. And then he talked about a jonin council. "While I agree that we need a new leader, I don't think a Jounin council would do. Mainly as some of the Jounin look up to the Hokage. And I would be present for such things. But now as the Medical Chief of Combat Medic, I will be guessing I'll be on high risk missions, a lot of which involving death."

He paused, then spoke again. "I know it may seem that I am just shooting down your ideas Migoya, but in reality, I'm looking at the pros and cons. I try to calculate what's going to happen, and think up every scenario that could be thought up. Call it paranoia, over preparations, I do it to voice my opinion, and heck, I might be brutally honest at times, but that is so we can look at every angle before tackling a situation."

The pair of Medical Chiefs begin to discuss among themselves the possibilities of an alternative future for the village of Konohagakure; truthfully Mikasa felt similar to the duo. Shaking her head, she listening silently to the notion of wishing to summon a council of Jounin equivalent and above to discuss the current state of affairs. "While the idea is fantastic, I do not see the overall objective being completed from a meeting." she confides to the two.

Not wishing to discuss the subject any further, rather of this particular segment, the kunoichi was unsure of voicing the alternatives that at least two of the three had crossed her thoughts. Extending her hands outwards, each hand clasps a hold of the shoulder of the men before her, "Today is a momentous occasion, change is an item we all welcome - yet let us not let it ruin the day at hand." she eludes towards their promotions. A swift glance towards Migoya would be given, not a sign of warning, rather one of understanding. Alternatively the expression could be read as wishing to speak to him privately on a different day; potentially both.

Releasing her delicate clasp, Mikasa strolls over to the edge of the obsidian mass of darkness, politely knocking on the wall as an indication to lower if possible. "There will be a day which change occurs, all I ask is that the pair of you is ready for which ever possibility becomes our reality." she murmurs in a delicate tone.

They were right of course - to call such a meeting would simply turn into a popularity contest and it was clear Takashi would have the support of his family, who just happened to hold most of the influence in the village. How convenient. No... for things to actually change there needed... hmm. It certainly was frustrating in Leaf, and the dynamic of the village had changed. Respect was in short supply, replaced with the expectation of mindless obedience without providing clear direction, support and hope. It seemed that every now and then a village needed a good dose of humility, and after all they were med-nin - if they couldn't issue the dosage, who would?

Migoya nodded, returning a knowing smirk towards Mikasa. Sometimes silence and a glance spoke more words than, well, what words could. It was fortunate that by fate, or sheer luck, this one had been promoted to her position. She certainly deserved it, and not because of blind bravado or family favoritism. Wordlessly the shadow wall would drop at Mikasa's request and Migoya would place a casual hand onto Ziren's shoulder.

"Its pretty common Ziren-san. Just apply the cream twice a day, refrain from sexual activity, and it should clear after a week or so. Nothing to be ashamed about but I'd be more... selective in the future." Migoya's eyes twinkled in mirth, even though the 'cover story' was silly, if there was any eavesdroppers it would be clear that Ziren wouldn't have wanted people to hear about... well, thus explaining the shadow wall. Such uncomfortable subjects caused people to stop listening out of sheer cringe worthiness - a good weapon to use in espionage and counter-surveillance circles.

"In any event we have need to celebrate. Ichigo ramen anyone? I must admit I havent' been there since I was young but I hear its still as good as it once was. Its on me".

With that, Migoya would indicate that he was leaving, unless there was something else the trio needed to discuss.
