Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The sky had long since darkened. When the bodyguard had left the village that morning, the sun had been up and fiery with fury and heat. For cave dwellers, the heat was something of a unknown beast. True the people of Suna had once been desert people living under the same sun, immune to such things as sunburn and heat stroke. But the hidden village had moved underground long before Saemon was even born. He had been raised in the dark and moist underground. His skin was tanned from genetics more than exposure. So what would have left him a little worn out and dry instead had him near exhaustion by midday and he hadn't even found what he was looking for.

The bright star that lit the land was now asleep, snuggly behind the horizon and lighting some other far off country over the sea. Saemon, had, had to take a break to recuperate and choke down several solider pills and a gallon of water to be able to continue on in his search. Once he passed from the tamer, winds and wild dunes into the razor edged torrent of air that now faced him, he knew he had passed from the regular desert into the diamond maelstrom. He had been there before in his life, twice in fact. The first time he was on mission with his genin team; he had only been what? 14? The second time he had been a jounin and new member of the ANBU. He'd barely returned home that time and half the skin on his back had been torn to shreds from the three days he'd spent battling the winds. He had vowed to never come back...

Yet there he was, trudging along in vicious mineral-rich hurricane winds, his ANBU mask over his face even while out of ranks to protect himself from the place.

From what he knew; his lady, the princess Makeoshimi Koho, was out here. She had been pursuing someone, or someones for a slight or God knew what. Her other guards had told him of her intent to kill the offenders and had chased them off to their 'homebase'. It was located here in this terrible part of Wind Country and he knew the general vicinity (thanks to some help from a friend in the ANBU). He did not know exactly what he was going to find, but since there was risk to her, he had gone after her. But the fuckall was that more than 12 hours had passed since she'd left and he couldn't even be sure if the red lady was okay or if...

A sharp prick bit into Saemon's chest as the thought crossed his mind. So he buried the imagery and pushed on harder.

Finally he came close to the place he had been directed. He took note of the location by longitude and latitude. But he didn't see anything, just horizontal sandy winds and... sand. It was very dark. He quickly set himself through the handseals and activated a well-practiced jutsu; chakra sense. He was looking for hers and if he saw it, he would bee-line for it.. but would that be all? Would she even be here?

The Diamond Maelstrom was a harsh, unforgiving and stubborn environment to be deadlocked into. Koho, the 3rd Princess of the Makeoshimi, had left the village earlier that day pursuing a man that she believed to be a criminal. She was still apart of the village, and as such, it was required of her to cut down those who opposed the village hidden in the sand. Or rather under the sand. And this was despite her natural feeling towards the criminal, which were those of just sheer killing intent for the sake of a good kill. Oh how she desperately wanted to clever the man's chest open with her poisoned blade and chop up his orders as if she was some kind of chef. But alas, she was still undercover from her real home, the Makeoshimi Empire, and was instructed to play along with their rules and follow their obedient attitude. It wasn't her thing, but she did the best she could in order to appease her superiors: the Seven Kings.

Unfortunately for this red haired panther, she was unable to track down the criminal - who really only raped one under aged child, he barely held a candle to the monster that stalked him. Koho would huff and puff, falling to her knees as the sun slowly began to lull into a peaceful slumber; which brought forth a dreadful cold from the night's embrace. One wouldn't expect a dessert to become this cold at night, given only a few hours previously, one could barely stand upon the boiling grains of lava. She would keel over, tumbling against the base of a rotten, dried up old tree that stood alone against the many dunes. The sweat fell from her brow as she exhaled with such a deep breath, which only crystallized and froze into little particles.

Okay, perhaps it wasn't her brightest idea to chase the man through one of the worst terrains known to man. This became quite evident as the woman had left with any supervisions, no protection, no food, no water and no hope of even finding her way back. Her tracks would be completely erased due to the occasional wind that gusted by and uplifted the grains in a furious haze. Koho's thoughts turned to Saemon as she rested up against the tree, her body pressure alone causing the shriveled up body to creak, crack almost, and moan with agony.

What if she wasn't able to see him again... A smile would dance across her face before she looked away, and offering up a more or less sympathetic smile to herself. "He'll find me..."

Of course he would. Failure wasn't an option for him anymore. He never allowed him of himself and certainly not when it concerned his lady.

So as the jounin scanned the area, looking for a chakra signature, at first he saw nothing and grunted his displeasure, a sound that was lost to the winds. But as he furthered his gaze, peering out over the arena of gnarled old shrubbery and voluminous sand dunes, the first glow began to form. He concentrated his chakra enhanced vision that way, physically squinting his eyes behind his eagle mask. There it was... but it was not a single signature. There was a second several meters away and approaching the first in a slow, creeping fashion. It was possible the second was simply moving slowly due to the severity of the terrain and environment, but there was a sinking feeling in his gut that said otherwise... and he did know Koho's chakra signature. He was positive the creeping factor was not her; she was still.

The red lady didn't really know how many times death had come knocking at her door. During the last five months of guarding her, there had been no less than 14 assassins or thugs who had been hired to take her life... and more than a few tried out of sheer anger with her. Her temper and arrogance would be the end of her. But as long as Saemon was there, she would be safe. He had reddened his hands with all of their bloods. Some had died more violently than others, but one thing held true; no one had even come close to actually harming his lady.

With the vision before him (at least 100 meters ahead now), Saemon felt the wash of adrenaline pour through his limbs. His speed and strength were top notch; he was in his prime. It took him only a few short seconds to pass over the land. The darkness and violent wind hid his form so well, he didn't even need stealth to come upon the creeper's back unnoticed.

When the man came into sight, he accessed him swiftly, making his final judgement. He was tired obviously, but determined. His face was covered, like his body was all except his hands. His hands were bloody knuckled and red skinned from exposure and in them he donned a silvery blade.

It happened so fast that the man didn't have time to scream or squeal. Saemon, like a monster in the night, appeared behind the man's back. Both of his hands gripped onto his clothed head and with a powerful jerk snapped the man's neck to the right. The crunch, like so many other noises this night, were swallowed up.

He let the corpse fall to the sandy ground and stepped over it. He felt nothing for the body or the man. Could he have been a father or a brother? A lover to someone waiting back home? Probably, but meant nothing; just ragged meat that within two days would be nothing but bare bones here in this land. He used his foot to push aside the man's cloth face covering, exposing it to the winds to be eaten away first, before turning away from the husk.

The spike of adrenaline was subsiding, replaced by other feelings; concern, joy, anger... all the things he was feeling for Koho at that moment. His form appeared as an apparition of shadow from the dense winds. He was no further than a few feet away before he would be visible to her and she to him. She was huddled over and frozen. He pushed aside the urge to scream at her, as always, and reached out for her body, ready to lift her from this hell and envelope her in his cloak and arms. Knowing her as one did his own heart, he pulled her in close to his massive form and tightly so she could not fight him for if she hadn't realized who he was, she would certainly attempt to strike out in defense and anger. His deep, gravely voice boomed out over the screaming sound. "I'm here now, Koho."

A creative mind, something you would think to call Koho, but she was just that. As the stars above blanketed the navy yonder, she would glue those beautiful baby blues onto their marvelous display of colour. The 3rd would lean up against the creaking all tree, adjusting her self so that she would find some comfort in this very uncomfortable situation. A smile would groove across her face pleasantly, her mind casted back to when she was but an unbosomed child, too innocent for the world and untouched by its horrors. A single tear drop would fall from her left eye, paused in a moment of great silence, unsifted by the dangers of the cold but utterly contempt with the peacefulness of this great moment. What were these emotions, you may ask? Well, even a monster had a heart, and a big one at that.

Koho was a product of the world's twisted tyranny. Oh how she wished to mold the world in her own image, regardless of how she achieved such a goal, the world needed to change. But before those thoughts could be sung, a presence came into existence, uplifting the woman's frame and cradling it towards his own chest. She did not resist, she did not fear, she but offered a smile as her eyes met with that of Saemon; her one true love. "You always are." Koho would add softly with a smile.

"I guess I got a little lost..." She would say vacantly, somewhat distracted by the beauty that lady night offered. It would be obvious to someone like Saemon, a lover, that his woman was distanced by something that plagued her mind. But what?

Her small body folded into his arms without resistance and with ease, being encompassed by the monstrosity that he was. His heart rate increased a fraction when her gaze met his. He could delve an eternity into her eyes, but not tonight. He could just remove her from the winds and the razor cuts around them, to safety where she could rest and he could watch over her now.

But she had been out here too long and honestly so had he. Moving back from the winds and to the village would take all night. The temperature had dropped to the point of freezing, as was the tendency of the sun baked desert. There was nothing around them save the deadened tree she had, up until very recently, been leaning up against. So he pulled her face into his body and raised his right hand. He wasn't a master at one handed jutsu, but anything under a certain level of difficulty he could manage.

He was first and foremost a master of the water element. He didn't seem like the type by nature to be one with the fluid, graceful world of water, but there was a genuine grace of the man one couldn't miss if they knew him well enough. But he wasn't a man with a single talent. His brute strength was for the majority of his fighting, but he had also learned a suitable amount of lightning and earth ninjutsu and with it several strange combinations of elements. He could form crystals and ushered forth ph imbalanced water in the form of acid, the kind that could melt a man's hand from his arm in minutes. Today he used his ability to manipulate the earth. The trick was just that; a trick, seeing as soon as the ground shifted into sand he had no skill with manipulating it. He dug for the harder, compacted layers of earth beneath the shifting sands and with a burst of chakra, exploded the earth, sending waves of sand into the air.

When he was finished, the sand resettled, and it seemed as though he'd done nothing, but as he was adept with the doton ninjutsu, he simply parted the ground and the two of them went underneath into a small cavern. The hole closed itself behind them leaving no trace of the pair.

There would be enough air in there for several hours, though there was no light. In the pitch blackness, Saemon laid back on the compacted earthy floor and brought the much smaller person down atop him. Heat still lingered under here. Not enough to overheat, but not bitter cold as the above world was. Here he could pull his cloak off and brush sand from her body. He could not see her, but he knew every inch of her body from memory.

Here it was quiet. He could listen to her heart beating in the enclosed space. He could also smell the lingering scents of her perfumes, the ones that held fast despite her travels and weariness. A worry that had clawed up and around his heart was silenced and he could finally relax knowing she was now safe. "Koho-hime." he said, his voice raspy and deep, "Why don't you ever wait for me?" he couldn't mask the annoyance that started to build up in him. "You are so willful... it will get you killed someday." His hands found her body again and he pulled his fingers through her wind tussled red hair. He wished he could see it sliding between his fingers.

The storm keeps on twisting, continually churning and roaring inside of their two hearts - two isolated monsters that found peace with each other's company. It was actually quite magical really, when one finds themselves so locked, frozen off from society, they would start to fall into deprivation; their hearts would blacken entirely and turn a potentially good person into one that was rotten to the core. But these two were perfect for each other in every way that a person could be perfect for another. And yes, they had their difficulties, like Koho's sheer inability like a normal human being - always finding the violent and bloody side to life more entertaining. However that rotten aspect of her persona was only created by the vile brutality that was forced upon her as a child. She was trying to break the mold...

Saemon would take her away, sweeping her off her feet, and walking off into the distance. But the desolate dessert would halt their movements, realizing it was far too cold, the hulking man would perform some kind of unique earth-styled technique that would engorge the earth apart. This would be momentarily and it effectively allowed the two to seek refuge in the darkness of a homely cavern. They would lie there for the remainder of the night, cuddled together out of comfort rather than necessity. She would phase off into the distance as her eyes adjusted to the dark, grappling her little hooks around Saemon's tough exterior as her head nestled against his those two stiff peaks. He addressed her, "Hmm?" She would not flinch, remaining still and calm allowing her other half to continue on with what swelled on the edge of his tongue.

Koho paused as her mind ululated those precious words back and forth.

It was true, this woman didn't appreciate life, and the effects that her actions would have on those around her, well, that would be only Saemon. She would not speak for a good few minutes, which really gave off the impression that she just didn't really bother with responding to her partner's words. "I've never waited for anyone, Saemon, you should know that of all people..." Her haunting childhood would creep back into the fray, in those moments of weakness they would attack, but her hulk was always there to fend off those negatives. Even if he didn't know it; she felt safer around him both physically and mentally.

After all, she was never, ever like this with anyone else.

"Sometimes I imagine that to be the better option." Koho would state as she felt his fingers bury themselves into her wave, gently massaging those strands which made the woman feel altogether much more relaxed. But alas, death for Koho would be a more savory way to 'live' so to speak. She really did despise herself...

Saemon's eyes narrowed, an unseen action in the darkness, but that reflected in his body tension as well. The words of his protectee struck him like a spear. For a span he said nothing and silence overhang the black room, but his hands not longer stroked her hair. They were still on her scalp. Eventually though, he lifted them away onto to replace them on her face. Both of his rough skinned thumbs stroked the soft curves of her cheeks tenderly. He wanted to yell at her, shake her for such a thought, but hadn't he thought the same thing? How many times did he go on a mission and hoped his opponent would be able to find his heart or a deep vein; to bleed him out on the ground before someone could save him.

But he had a reason to live. A philosopher once said it is a weak man who lives his life on the love of others. One must find their worth in themselves. He figured that man had probably died a virgin or been married off to some miserable beast of a woman who he hated. He found strength through her and peace, despite how chaotic she was.

Saemon had never told her what laid in his heart, though he knew on some level she already knew. He loved her. He wanted to be with her, not just touch her body and kiss her lips, though he did love those things as well. He wanted to be part of her soul.

He exhaled deeply, fluttering hair at her brow with the strength of it then lifted his head from the ground to find her lips with his own. His kiss was not deep and passionate, but it lingered. It was honest and true as he was to her. He knew her heart... when he parted from them, he spoke and close to her "When that day comes, I will follow you there."

"I don't want you to take my path," She would continue to be petted affectionately, "We both know that my nature has already sealed away my fate. It's only a matter of time." Koho admitted the truth that the two both knew; one way or another the indoctrination, which had infested her membrane, would eventually get the woman into serious trouble of which she wouldn't be able to escape. But these moments, stowed away from reality, were like grand occasions were one would just allow their inhibitions to lower and their guard, the solid rock wall, to crumble and all the ocean of contentment to wave upon her shore. "If I could take back everything that I've ever said, or done, I would..." She would reflect onto her wrong-doings, all of those people that she struck down with her poisoned blade; a physical manifestation of her soul.

"A huge part of my heart wants to me to die in repentance for the things that I've done." Suddenly, Koho would chuckle and her body would shingle with a few human sensations of laughter, "Who would have though it, eh? Me with a heart." In truth, she only had a heart because of the man that grasped her slender frame. He was the light at the end of the tunnel, which gave her the courage to live on - despite her inability to control her own wicked actions. If her enemies could only live a day inside that mental battlefield of a mind, they would somewhat understand why she was this way. An insatiable thirst for battle, born from the Empire that stole away her childhood and life.

"Do you think we would've had children if things were different?" She would lift her head, gingerly shuffling up to Saemon's face, as her scarlet hair dangled down one side of her face. "Maybe two boys and a little girl." Koho would smile deeply as she sustained herself above his own body, looking into those dark hues.

Her words cut him deeply. Any anguish or misery she felt, he felt reflected within his own body. He couldn't bear the idea of her wishing for death or even feeling sorry for her actions. Sighing wearily, he laid his head against the dirt floor. He could feel the chill of it through his hair and he closed his eyes in the dark. "Never be sorry for being who you are. Your heart is made of fire and it burns through all you and touches all others... it consumes me." The heat of her body felt like her fire. He could imagine it as he saw it; a real flame she harbored along every inch of her body and could burn him.

But her next question, so removed from the previous topic at hand, caused Saemon to withdraw from her. Even as she scooted up his body to bring her face closer to his, he turned his face to the side. Her red locks brushed against his cheekbone and eyelashes. It was so dark here... his hand moved to his side, searching in a pouch at his hip and found what he was looking for. It was a chakra crystal, one you crushed in your hand and the pieces would glow like stars where you left them. A quick squeeze of his fingers and the item was shattered with a crack. The small cavern lit dimly with a minty green light. It made their skin look green and pale, eyes off shades and even Koho's crimson tresses simply looked brown.

He looked up to her eyes, looking into them. He could never shy from her gaze and from her he had nothing to hide. He did not want children. He loathed his parents; his father for being a fool and his wretched mother for abandoning Roku and himself. He could never imagine bringing children into this world... But looking into her eyes, he would deny her nothing; not even that. "I don't know." he said honestly. His left hand's index finger brushed against her temple and swept away a single lock of hair gently. "I never imagined myself as a father. I suppose though.. I would like a daughter." He reached down then, letting both of his hands find the outsides of her thighs. He squeezed the muscle firmly for just a moment then relaxed and he left them there. "She would look just like you and with your fiery nature. She would be a force to reckon with and I would love her dearly." But it seemed he could not resist touching her; she who could bring his heartrate to a full sprint with a whisper and cause his skin to be covered with goosebumps at the slightest brush of her fingertips. They slid upward, following the desirable curve of her hips.

"What would we name her?" he asked, his deep voice quieter and more distracted than before. His eyes found her soft mouth and lingered there to watch her lips form her words.
