Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"You guys're heavy..."

A youthful voice sounded out, breaking the stillness of the night air. It's owner? A boy who looked about seventeen years of age. Besides his head of rose-colored hair, nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing at all...-oh, except for the scale-covered six-armed Monster Guy he was carrying on his back. The Hachiashi seemed to have tacked on some mass after his transformation, and though he had half-reverted, the extra weight was still very much present. And judging from the strained grunts and groans, the poor guy was feeling the hurt pretty bad. The youth was also cradling an equally offputting boy in his arms who was badly injured, viral, and had been impaled in several places by Earth carmot. This particular foreigner who had been stuck with baggage duty possessed an unusual strength, gained by being subjected to hellish training almost his entire life. And usually, even a load like this wouldn't be too bad for him. But that skirmish in the caverns had cost him a lot of calories, and overusing his Trigger like that certainly didn't help. His whole body ached. Not to mention the pain he was feeling in his capillaries and heart...but still, he trudged on, hunched over as he might be. Through Sunagakure's streets and under the gaze of any and every passerby. He might not've known these guys too well, but he wasn't about to leave them to die! Besides, the multi-armed guy was pretty strong. Maybe after he recovered he'd be able to help him with his goal...

...a thought for later, perhaps.

With only a slight, "Huf!" as a warning, the boy kicked the doors to the Medical Facility open, slinking in with his passengers in tow as several nurses gasped at the sight. The brash young man could only blink a few times at the stunned receptionist, a little confused as to why she was staring at him with such an expression. "Can you fix these two?" he asked, clearly a bit ignorant as to how hospitals functioned. To be fair the only time he ended up in one was when he was unconscious...so he didn't exactly get to witness the "processing" part of it all. So until the woman regained enough sense to answer or someone else came along, he would just stand there. Wasn't there a third? Oh yeah, Teke! He hadn't looked back to check (as he was busy lugging his "companions" to the doc), but last he saw she was still around. Maybe she had a better grasp on the intricacies of hospital etiquette.

If not? This was probably going to be a long night...

Takeyashi could hear something, way off in the distance. Someone was talking. He could feel a heat source, and felt the smooth fabric of his shirt. That's right, he was being carried. When did he pass out? The last thing he remembered is fighting that sandwyrm. He had been loosing. He remembered being afraid that he was going to die. He remembered how angry that had made him, and then...

...wait. Where was he right now? Takeyashi forced his eyes open, despite how heavy they felt. As they opened up, a bright and blinding light began boring into his eyes. He couldn't see, only wince in pain; however, the light soon began to dim. His eyes were adjusting, and he could make out men and women in weird cloth garments running around. Wait, those were doctor's uniforms. "Am...am I in the hospital?" His voice was weak, and hoarse. He sounded pathetically ill. Then he coughed. He hadn't even realized it was happening, but when it did he brought out a rush of pain. First in his throat, and his lungs. Then it permeated out into the rest of his body, finally letting him feel the throbbing and burning pain assaulting his whole body. His body clenched up, suddenly aware of the pain it was in. It felt like a fire was coursing through his body. He couldn't move from the pain, and could barely sputter out words. To the man holding Takeyashi, it must have felt like he'd suddenly just had a spasm. With all of his willpower, the young spiderling uttered out only a few words. "It...hurts...the mark...it's that..." And after that, the young man could muster no more than to clench his teeth to fend off the pain.

Takeyashi wouldn't be able to be of much use in answering questions, not in this condition. His body had gouges and cuts all over, though it seemed like most of it had scabbed over already. His chakra network was scrambled up real good, with his energy levels fluctuating every few moments. Every part of his body was sensitive to pain, and his adrenaline levels were off the charts. If the doctor was clever enough to notice, they'd be able to notice that the young man's hormonal levels were very different from normal, and would even show a new and abnormal enzyme that they'd never seen before. Perplexing as it was, it was the truth. This young man had a lot going on right now, and he needed a clever doctor to help piece the mess of a puzzle back together.

It felt like many days had passed to the young boy. While this was false, the crawling infestation caused excruciating pain that flowed through him for the hours he laid unconscious. All he recalled was getting fired through a thick wall of stone, a brief but solid impact into glass and steel-- Only to get worse, he knew it to be true. The mutation carmot that afflicted the Sandwyrms was ill-fated to fall upon his form as the wall shook from the tremors of the battle in the room before them. Lodged into his back, neck, shoulders and right arm only furthering the infectious retro-virus from the lab-equipment to spread faster and more dominant through his system- While that may have saved his life, it caused astronomical damage to nerves, bodily tissue, muscles, and bones to name a few.
While the equally fortunate situation hailed his state of living- If it were considered that. The mutation had spread beyond reversion by the time the three arrived at the medical facility; throughout the trek his body had initially boiled and bubbled. Hissing out a secretion of acid and a green-brown ooze, thick and sticky in its rawest state; beyond the disgusting nature of the affliction, his body had begun to cause a medical phenomena of inversion of the toxin. While present, it grew and replaced without causing fatal damage to the system. -- It was clear that it was not replacing it with traditional human parts. While the appearance in nature was similar, likely through coincidence and the biological memory of his system. But it drew on a disgusting acidic fluid that seemed to endlessly secrete from him.

Fast forwarding to the present, the husk of a boy was being carried in by the valiant and brash Keiatsu. The boy was far from a completely stable state- nor will the likelihood of him ever acquiring such peace again. The wounds seemed to be closing, if slowly. However each puncture in his form was still present, his body broken and mangled from the brawling with a sand-wyrm much larger than he was clear. Bruises, gashes and various scores of injuries swathed his form endlessly. In a matter of time the nurses had acquired the younglin, cast him to a room of emergency with a number of medical practitioners that otherwise stared at him in both awe and horror from his condition- And the fact he was breathing. With it being very clear a lung was punctured- Meshed with a viscous goo that flexed with each breath. While being stripped, and an attempt at 'cleaning' him only lead to more fluids to flow out and case the flooring in more of it as if it were a counter-measure to the actions of the doctors. Quick checks of his vitals suggested blood had been flowing, if slowly and his eyes were coated in a green layer of the fluid, the iris' of either were yellow in hue and the blood that was let out of him, came out a sickly green.

Consciousness was dawning slowly and agonizingly. Almost lulling him back into a state of surrender, with the darkness wreathing around the edges of his vision. Where... On earth am I?.. It smells sterile. Not the cave. Heaven.. No-- I hurt too much.. Where I can feel. And wet... Why wet? his thoughts begun to drone on, endlessly questioning himself and the state he found himself lost in. As if pain had a thresh-hold before it blurred along the lines, a state of agonizing bliss. For a child of his age, it was a bit depressing. But he pressed on to hold onto his life, but it felt almost as if something wouldn't let him let go even if he yearned for it. So what reason to argue?

"Surrender to sanctuary... For we shall reform as a new whole. a voice, but it wasn't human. Nor physical. But there.

The twins were in a much better place after everything had been sorted out at the hospital for them. They were allowed to work as doctors, helping out in the emergency room where more hands were appreciated. Of course, they were not the high ranking Medic nin that they once were in Kirigakure but it will suffice. After all, they did not wish to claim loyalty to anything that wasn’t their mother country.

At the moment, they were simply approving the patient discharge of a man who woke up with a knife stuck in his back. An interesting case for a detective. But a boring one for a doctor. And it was just one boring patient in a long line of many more boring patients.

It seemed some deity heard their complaints however, when there came a commotion upfront.

A rosy haired youth burst in the hospital’s fronts door, a behemoth on his back and a young child in his arms.

The head of pink... looked familiar. But the strange oddity on his back drew their attention first and foremost. Oh, and the other patient too, of course.

“We’ll fix them for you,” came their drawl and people parted ways for the freaks who claimed to be Kirigakure royalty. Nobody dared stop them from taking the patients and none of the senior Medics or any of the chiefs were around to say otherwise. They held out their arms, gesturing for Keiatsu to give them the boy and to follow them to a private room, to get away from the crowds that stared and whispered.

They whisper, of course a monster would help a monster, but they pay it no heed.

The private office is one lent to them for the duration of their stay here, for as long as they were the Kazekage’s guest, and was tucked away in the corners of the hospital, far away from the rest of the people. It was cold and bare, obviously previously unused until their arrival. Sparse, it only contained a single bed, a table and a cabinet that they themselves had to fill.

Of course, this was a problem, wasn’t it? Only one bed and two patients. And for all that they had two heads, they were only really one doctor... this would have been better if they were not as they are. If they still had their own bodies.

There was very little they could do with the furniture, at the time being though, so they placed Karu on the bed and gestured for Keiatsu to place Takeyashi on the table. Comfort should be the least of their problems. “Tell us what happened to cause these injuries, if you will,” they hummed as a slick liquid started to ooze from their skin, pulling away until it formed not one but two copies of the twins.

The two clones moved to look over the much larger patient and all of the three Medics’ hands started to glow, anesthetic no doubt flooding both patients’ systems by now to make whatever ailment they have all the more bearable.

Teke had hung back a little from the odd, pink haired boy but would indeed follow along with him toward the hospital. She felt fine herself if a little tired from over exertion, producing all that electricity had certainly drained her batteries to be sure. She was glad she was still able to walk on her own though having watched how everyone was looking at the moving pile of unconscious boys. "I'll need to get this power under wraps fast, at least enough that I can turn it off before I drain myself dry." She thought to herself as the boy kicked open the door of the medical facility, the half that she wasn't used to seeing which she was somewhat curious about plus most of the nursing staff worked between both so it'd be fun to see their faces as they realize just who she was.

She came into the building a few moments after the doors had already swung back shut and let out a yawn as she did. "I could kill for a snack and a bed right now..." She murmured before coming to a stop, narrowing her eyes in disbelief of what she saw. "I must be tireder than I thought... coz that guy is two guys..." She said aloud rudely. She watched as they came forwards ushered the boys to follow, she did so to of course but not before a sharp gasp caught her attention. She turned to find the source and a young nurse who had just exited a nearby room had recognized her instantly. The nurse upon closer inspection had a rather distinct bite scarring on her neck that proceeded under her clothes but likely went to her collar bone. "Y-you, you're... how... why are you out of the asylum?" She asked with a nervous tremble in her voice. Teke looked deep into the woman's eyes silently for a moment before snapping her jaw toward her, the woman jumped almost onto the ceiling but Teke just grinned and went on her way, catching up to the double man.

She slinked into the room behind everyone and watched what proceeded as her mind simply tried to figure out what she was even seeing and considering that she'd just spent the afternoon with a six armed man, that was quite an accomplishment. "I've heard of a split personality but this is fucking ridiculous... We were attacked by... worms of some kind, that big guy seemed to know more than either of us sooo... yeah." She said finally as she made her way toward the real body, she assumed it was the real one as she'd not taken her eyes off of them so far. She moved around and in front of them, being so short she would hardly block the view and she wouldn't block the arms from doing what they were and without any hesitation at all she reached up and just started to pat at the conjoined being. "How... I.... How are your ribs even working?" She questioned as she continued her abrasive groping of the shoulder and chest areas of both sides of the twin.

Fortunately, the group of battle-worn acquaintances wouldn't have to wait around too long. Soon after their arrival they were approached by a rather strange-looking doctor-...or was it two doctors? Two doctors in one body from the looks of it. Normally this would've provoked quite the reaction from the childish youth, probably something along the lines of, "Cool!~" or, "Woah!~" complete with sparkly eyes and all. But there wasn't any time for that now! No, now he was uncharacteristically serious. People's lives were on the line...and that just so happened to be one of the few things that caused his normally carefree demeanor to take a backseat. Teke made some rather candid comments about the twins inhabiting a single body, to which the boy's only response was an affirmative, "Yeah." But other than that? He didn't even bat an eyelash as the freakish siblings approached. No flinching...no hint of judgement on his face at their appearance. The twin medics outstretched their arms and offered their assistance. Takeyashi and Karu definitely needed help, so who was he to say no?

"Thanks." the boy replied with a nod, handing Karu over to them. Without a moment's hesitation the twins turned and began walking, motioning for them to follow. The rose-haired youth obliged, but only after taking a moment to readjust the scaly giant on his back. The Hachiashi had been muttering to himself for awhile now...and from the sound of it the guy had to be in a lot of pain. And Karu? The poor kids entire biological state had been altered. There's no way that could feel pleasant. This concern caused the impromptu gurney to narrow his eyes and quicken his pace. They had to get these guys help...and fast!

It wasn't long before the group arrived at the twins' office, the dual medics wasting no time in going to work. Karu was laid down a hospital bed while Takeyashi got the short end of the stick, having to make do with a nearby table. Once he had transferred the scaly Hachiashi onto the surface he took a few steps back and watched the medics do their thing. A question was posed as to how these injuries had been sustained, one which Teke responded to, covering the basics of the situation. He nodded, showing his agreement to her answer. Unfortunately he wasn't going to be much more help in the information department. They truly didn't know what those creatures were, and the rose-haired boy wasn't exactly the most observant of people. Regardless, he'd do his best to explain. "Muttsuude turned into some big, scaly thing in the fight...then he fell over." he began, pointing at the tabled Hachiashi. "Six Arms" was the closest thing to a name he could bestow upon the Sunan shinobi as they didn't exactly have time to introduce themselves. The youth then walked over towards the younger ninja on the bed, staying far enough away from the twins so as not to impede their work. "This guy got smacked through a wall into a room. When I found him he was covered in goo." Poor kid. Getting punted through walls was never fun...and the rose-haired foreigner knew that from experience! His grandpa had a funny idea of "training", you see. And that "goo" he had been exposed to was likely some sort of bio-weapon created by the Cabal. If the foreigner had bothered to pay attention to anything, he might've seen the notes on the desk Karu was by. But at least they knew where it was now. Maybe once the Sunans got better they could go back and round up the evidence?

"Oh!" he exclaimed, something else suddenly occurring to the youth. Imagine that...a thought! Maybe his head wasn't so empty after all? "He got stabbed by some shiny rocks too." ...another insightful observation. But accurate! When he was collecting Karu from that weird lab, he had noticed the boy was impaled in several places by some strange-looking rocks. Glowing rocks, at that...and they had seemed to be radiating some type of energy. "They weren't normal...I could feel them before I saw them." Anybody versed in the ninja arts could 'feel' when chakra was being used at close enough proximity, but he happened to have a keen Sense that helped him detect it from further away. 'Carmot' was the substance's official name. Personally he had never encountered it before and thus had no idea what it was. But perhaps Karu or Takeyashi -natives to Wind Country- could shed more light on it once they recovered? Well y'know...if they recovered. In the meantime the foreigner would watch the twins work, a dull neutral expression on his face. Unbeknownst to him, the three of them were actually compatriots. They may or may not have recognized him, but he was (like usual...) clueless to this fact. The last time they were together he had been busy violently shaking a Storm ninja's corpse, screaming at it in a blind rage. The Invasion wasn't a good memory...but it undoubtedly served to strengthen him. Combating giant Monsters had a funny way of bringing forth unknown strengths. And seeing all that carnage they had wrought definitely steeled his resolve. Still, he had a horrible memory and hadn't had too much interaction with the twins. So until the connection was made, he would remain oblivious. Who knew? Maybe they'd all have some talking to do once this was done with...

Takeyashi could feel them pulling him along the floors, which seemed to be getting colder and colder by the meter. He remembered passing many doors, and he remembered spotting the young boy, Karu, out of the corner of his eye. He didn't look in very good condition. Takeyashi wondered who was treating the two of them — he must have blacked out during the part when the doctor came in to see them. That didn't really matter, so long as they were going to fix the two of them. He heard a door opening in between waves of pain, and then felt an icy metal sheet up against his back. His whole back shivered in response, but the slight discomfort from the table was soon eclipsed entirely by pain. He could barely even think straight. He heard people talking, but his head was spinning so fast he couldn't make out who it was or what they had said. Then he saw a blurred figure, a small glowing, and then...

...the pain stopped. "W-What?" Takeyashi didn't mean to say that out loud, but to be fair he was a little discombobulated. His sight began to stop spinning, and he began to relax a little. His whole body felt like it had been clenching, and should be really sore. Except, he couldn't feel any of that. He flexed his fist, but realized he couldn't feel his hand. He bent his head down to where his hands should be, and slowly opened his eyes. He tried poking one of his right hands with his left, but still couldn't feel anything. Out of nowhere, a big dumb grin made its way onto Takeyashi's lips as he lifted his head up. It seemed the anesthetic was beginning to work. "Whoa, guys...I can't, like, feel anything..." Then the clones of the twins came into his field of vision. Takeyashi's reaction was slow, yet very surprised. It took him a solid minute to say anything. "How...how do they do that? Are you, like, two people? Or only one?" The young man looked like he sat there thinking about it for a few moments, before he began chuckling at himself. "Ah, who cares? So long as...so long as you, like, fix us up, then it should be all...uhm, uh, what's the word..." The spiderling furrowed his brow in intense thought, until a light bulb lit up inside his own head. "Good! It should be all good!" Oh jeez, this was going to be a difficult time.

[ooc: Short post is short. Takeyashi is very loopy, but should be able to answer questions from here on out.]

The voice had left his mind shortly after their arrival to the operating room. The smell was present, but musky and reeked of something foul- It was of course, him. The ooze that thicked his body was nothing better described than a sewers intestines. Upon being laid down on the table, his mind and body were still very much so unconscious- vying for the sweet realization of being awake. But each time it drew a breath to bring him back, he felt pain a sick cold and haunting pain both externally and internally- As if his body was being ill-molded by a sadistic force.
His fists clenched and released as if a repetition in his mind had kept him doing it to retain a grasp of reality. A reflex, of course as there was no real cognitive function yet noticed. -- As the anesthetic applied, his muscles loosened but retained a tight hold over his form, the pain certainly was reduced from the wounds. However, underneath the covers in the guise of flesh, blood and goo his DNA was being altered ever since the cave, it was a disgusting perversion of the retro-virus that was meant to kill, to manipulate and contort his form into a weapon. It was noticeably popping and bubbling from underneath his flesh where the anesthetic had reached and applied. As if it was attempting to fight the help, but despite its efforts it didn't nearly have enough resources to better the medic. Which perhaps was best for now, while the alterations were happening and not immediately killing the boy. It was present, he was losing a grip of life each breathe he took.

(Fairly small on my end too; sort of on the back of the topic while the operation happens)

Their little office was getting crowded, with two patients and two... concerned citizens as well as three copies of the strange twins. But they paid it no mind in the meantime, intent on making sure these two stick to the land of the living. Though Death took all, they saw no need to hurry these to children up to it. Everyone gets there eventually.

Now, if only this young woman who sought to climb on their back and cop a feel at them had any sense of decency. Or at the very least, a sense of urgency, so that they can get the bloody job done! Her curiosity for their physiology does not do them any favors right now. Had she asked during another time, they would happily indulge and give her the knowledge she sought as long as it wasn’t sensitive material. This isn’t exactly the best time to play twenty questions or patty cake!

“They just do, alright?” Akihiko drawled at the girl, shifting his shoulder with a shrug in an attempt to dislodge her. He was in no mood to explain. Or to remember how he cradled his sister while she was at death’s door. He did not want to remember when he had to open her chest up, remove the dead internal organs, and open his own chest up. How much pain he had been in when he had to saw off ribs from the both of them, sew his own internal organs to be some gross human life support for her, stitch them together, basically cannibalizing both of their bodies to keep Akane from truly dying.

No doubt, Teke had felt some of what it had done to their body by now. How Akane’s chest was devoid of any breasts and how the expanse of skin between the two of them, their shoulders down to the hips, melded together. Perhaps if she had been able to feel it without the cloth of their shirt, they would see the faint and fading stitches that patched them together.

Akane ignored her brother’s annoyance, focused on Karu and Takeyashi, even as she listened to Keiatsu fill them in on what had happened. Working to keep them stable while they diagnose and figure out what needs to be done was their top priority right now. With a flare of chakra, she creates a few crystal slides, to use in lieu of glass ones. She scraped at the goo, for one, and repeated the process to get samples of the six armed man’s strange skin and of the rocks that riddled the bleeding boy. Two of each.

Then she conjures another clone, this one emerging from the steel of the cabinet, and gives the microscopic slides to it. “Bring those samples to Kaoku-hakase of the Pathology department and Jukyo-hakase of Diagnostics, just in case. Don’t leave until they give you the results,” she orders the steel creation easily enough as it gives a curt nod and disappears out into the corridor.

That’s when six armed man’s little outburst occurs. No doubt, the anesthetic running through their bodies had left him loopy and discombobulated. But they took it as a good sign, more than anything, that he was still conscious to an extent. Karu’s silence on the other hand... well, it couldn’t be good news.

It was an easy enough decision to figure out who to treat first. Believe them when they say that it isn’t because the man is a Hachiashi. Perhaps if they had been any of their other cousins, they wouldn’t even bother looking at a dirty bloodline descendant but the twin cared little about such things. It was so rare to find a Shoukyou in the medical field.

“Whatever this Hachiashi is going through, there is little much we can do at this moment other than to stabilize him. Trying to treat him blindly may only make things worst,” the sister says aloud, mostly for the others benefit. No doubt Akihiko had already come to the same conclusion. “We will leave a clone to observe him for the time being. But until those sample results come back... This transformation of his isn’t normal for someone of his kind.” They had an inkling but they couldn’t be quite sure. There were things, what people called abominations that abused the gifts of Cursed Seals like no other shinobi would dare to do. It was entirely in the realm of possibility but so was about a hundred other different things.

“This boy on the other hand, he has multiple entry wounds. The fact that they’re foreign objects. We can’t simply remove them unless we risk him bleeding out or worst. We may have to go into surgery...” Akihiko sighs with a withering glance at Karu before both heads turn to stare at Keiatsu. “You’re the one who brought them here. We do not have time to ask his parents or guardians for permission unless you’re either one of those. Would you consent to him going under our knife?”

 • You guys multiply like rabbits. Used a Steel Clone [Mastered] to send goo and other things to the proper departments. I'm sorry if I can't immediately bring you both back to Healthy Status immediately. I'll be able to finish on Karu in my next post, most likely. Meanwhile, Takeyashi should be fine to go through his Abomination (?) stuff in the meantime?

Between Teke poking and prodding the good doctors, Takeyashi rambling while under the effects of anesthetic, and the twins talking about medical jargon? There was a lot going on here. Despite his best efforts to keep his utter befuddlement at bay, the signs were all there on his face. Spider Guy was conscious now, so that was good. Though he still seemed to be at a halfway point in his transformation. It was good thing he was under the effects of painkillers, because altering your physical form like that could not feel good. Just ask Karu! Oh-...and speaking of Karu, the poor guy wasn't looking so hot. Whatever anesthetic the doctors applied seemed to have taken effect, but in the grand scheme of things that wasn't going to help him out much. They needed to find out exactly what they were dealing with...and in order to do that, the twins were going to need to cut him open. This just kept getting better and better!

Akane explained the Hachiashi's situation to the boy, and how they couldn't really do much else to him without the risk of further agitating whatever "state" he was in. Apparently this wasn't the norm for members of his Bloodline...so this transformation had to be something unique to Takeyashi. "Hm..." The rose-haired youth vocalized, nodding as she spoke. His understanding was shaky at best but still enough to grasp the gist of what she was saying. At least for the meantime, "Muttsuude" was on his own! Karu on the other hand was treatable (if only slightly more). It was still a mystery as to if they could help revert him to normal, but the shrapnel in his body was something they could definitely take care of. Unfortunately...they needed consent. And since the Sunan youth was unconscious and they had no contact information...this rosy-headed simpleton was going to have to be a proxy for the decision. Akihiko explained the boy's situation to him, saying that worst case scenario they might have to go into surgery. It was down to the wire now. They needed his go-ahead.

The boy's gaze drifted downwards. What other option did they have? He sure as hell didn't know anything about medicine...and from what it seemed like, these two knew what they were doing. In reality there was no choice. Only a single answer. "Yeah." he responded, nodding towards the twins. "Do whatever you need to save him." Such a sober answer was completely uncharacteristic for him. He was always so carefree. A few times he had been blindingly angry in the past, though that usually took a lot of doing. But serious? It was almost unheard of. Maybe he wasn't the complete and total fool he so often seemed to be? Still, they couldn't stand around and talk all day. If Karu was to have any chance of getting better, they were all gonna need to stand back and let the good doctors work. And speaking of which... "Oi." Came the boy's voice as he walked over and reached a hand out in an attempt to grab the nape of Teke's shirt. If she was too distracted or wasn't fast enough to move, he would take hold and nonchalantly drag her out from impeding the twin's work, lifting her into the air with little effort. Like a cat with its kitten. "Let's go find some food!" And just like that? His dumb grin was back. Okay...so maybe he was a complete and total fool. But at least this way the twins could work in peace without being probed by tiny unwanted hands! With Teke (hopefully) in tow he would exit the room, making a turn and starting down the nearest corridor. A sly, "Hehehe...~" could be heard even in the room as he set out in search of grub. Karu and Takeyashi would be hungry when they recovered, and surely the twins as well. There had to be some munchies around here somewhere...

...now where was this place's cafeteria?!

[OOC: Teke said to just skip her, so hopefully she'll be able to post next round.]

[ooc: Considering Takeyashi is totally incapacitated, and the RP is currently about saving Karu, I'm going to let Aka and Karu go ahead and do their RPing. When it's my turn to get healed, I'll resume posting.]

The doctors gave little notice to Mako and Teke as they left. They were not their responsibility right now, unlike Karu and Takeyashi. Calm. They were eerily so, considering they had two to take care of and one not quite but nearly dead. No, neither would die today. The twins not only promised it out of duty but out of certainty. Their souls were young and Death had yet to knock on their doors.

Still, they doubted and second guessed that feeling. How did they even know? What did they know?

“Rest here,” Akihiko spoke in an authoritative voice that brook no argument to the spider boy Reassuringly with a light pat to the knee, he added: “We have to take care of your friend. But we’ll be right back, just in time for your laboratory results so that we know what to do with you, alright?”

They had called for a gurney and two nurses had now stood outside their room, ready to go into surgery. Calm. There wasn’t an ounce of worry. Rather, there was annoyance. Because dealing with multiple entry wounds was, suffice to say, tedious. Karu was lucky to have someone like them with him in the surgical theater.

Clean scrubs, sterile gloves, masks and those unsightly hair caps.

The area around each and every wound had to be scrubbed to avoid infection but the hydrogen peroxide would not be allowed to get into the wounds itself. Care and precision was a must; it helped to be a perfectionist and a neat freak when one is a surgeon.

Two pairs of hands and more were necessary for such a procedure. It was a shame that the two only had one of each, else they would have handled these themselves. It was a good thing that an assistant was assigned to them and they were tasked with holding the wounds open, nearly prying skin and muscle and fat apart so that they could get to the rocks with forceps. Though the injuries seemed skin deep at first, extraction wasn’t so simple by the sheer number of entry wounds. Leaving even the smallest bit of dirt in in would guarantee an infection. Some even forced them to cut him up due to how deep they had gone in.

Thankfully, Karu was already knocked out though anesthesia had been administered for good measure. It wouldn’t do for them to have the boy waking up in the middle of surgery, screaming.

The headlamp is hot overhead and one of the nurses have to wipe at the dampness of their forehead several times throughout it all.

Thankfully, as the last of the rocks were extracted, nothing fatal was ruptured and the child will recover in due time. Some of the injuries might scar. But scarred and living was preferable to... well, the contrary.

They did not carry out or oversee the rest of the procedure themselves however. Rather, they were confident enough to leave the assistant in closing the rest of the wounds. That part was child’s play, after all, whether they chose to use a needle or to cheat cheaply with shinobi techniques.

They had to leave when the Medical Ward Akihiko had secretly left on the other boy alerted them to a change in his state and a danger he might face. Running back to their clinic, the two looked at Takeyashi. Only to find that the boy was incapacitated, unconscious, contrary to the loopy state they had left him in.

And that their steel clone was there, waiting for them.

“The results from pathology?” Akihiko asked, cold and professional. Odd, considering he was basically talking to constructs of themselves.

“Inconclusive, Shoukyou-hakase. They don’t know what’s wrong with him. But they assure that the best diagnostic team is working on it right now and they’re on their way.”

The brother looks annoyed but knew there was little to change that. At the very least, it didn’t seem or feel like the boy was in any danger. “I understand. Perhaps if you can page one of their Medical Chiefs. We’ll need to-” He was surely more stable than his friend who would be recovering from surgery. But. “Sister? What are you doing?”

He had to stop, gaze snapping towards Akane who was focused so intensely on Takeyashi. Her arm is outstretched, towards the prone form of the desert spider and she started to – “No! Sister, stop! You mustn’t!” – pull.

And suddenly waves of pain, unmuted, much like the patient had been feeling before they had numbed it all for him. Fire coursed through their body as it tensed up. Their throat and lungs burned as if they had been inhaling the thickest of smoke. Adrenaline ran through their body, firing off in every part, in every nerve.

Then there was nothing but cold.

Cold.

Colder.

Yet colder.

The two stood, no longer in the tiny hospital room with its bare and impersonal furnishings. Instead, they stood in a dark cavern, walls made of ice and a strange light that glowed in different shades. Blues and greens, purples and grays.

And whatever pain and worry Akihiko had felt before was all gone. This felt natural. This felt right. Even for all the terrible things the ice had held for them. Akihiko was gone, as was Akane. All was left was the Deaths who looked down upon this suffering child with such pity.

Oh, how humans loved Life when true peace could only be found with Them. Though they could not begrudge this fact. They loved Life just as much, after all. For better or for worse. Till... something took them apart, heh.

“Hello, child,” Akane and Akihiko – but not them – greeted the boy as they summoned him before them. They weren’t real of course, as was he, or this place. This was something else. A place where only the likes of them: Dark Sages, Ghost Walkers and Spiritualists can visit. The space between life and death. Reality and another realm entirely.

 • Placed a Medical Ward [Mastered] before attending to Karu. On returning and finding him, presumably due to your OOC comment, unconscious, they use Dark Sage's Soul Harvest, Empath's Empathy Scan and False Surroundings [Mastered] to get into Takeyashi's head... so to speak. Rather, talk to his soul so that they could ask for consent for the Cursed Seal that saves his life? Was actually going to buy Mental Kombat for this but since it was removed. This works, right? Please tell me if I have to edit anything.

Clack, clack, clack, clack. The youth's straw setta echoed throughout the hospital hallways as he ran, causing some doctors and patients alike to peer out of their rooms and stare with confused expressions. Why was there a rose-haired boy sprinting through Omni Prime? And why was he holding a small girl under his arm while he ran?!

"Which way's the food?!" he asked, coming to a skidding halt in front of a receptionist's desk. Unfortunately the shocked woman took too long to answer, and in an instant he was off again! Running past patients on gurneys, dodging doctors hurrying along their way. But wait...why was he asking for directions? He had a pint-sized GPS who was probably extremely motion sick by now! "Yo!" he shouted to his passenger, narrowly juking out a nurse who screamed in shock. "D'ya know where the-" his words immediately ceased as he glanced down, his eyes almost popping out of his head. An outline blinked around some empty air underneath his arm. Teke was gone!"Eh?!" What the hell happened? Did he drop her?! Man...that wasn't good. Hopefully she didn't crack her head on any of the corners he'd been running by. Mako shrugged before his returning his gaze to the front. Oh well! She could handle herself. If she got into any trouble she could just use those chompers of hers...

So for a while he would just continue running around aimlessly. Not on purpose, of course! But directions never were his forte. Gun often yelled at him for being so brainless. Said he couldn't navigate himself out of a straight corridor. And sadly? This was true. As he ran a strange feeling coming from the room began to slowly overtake his Sense. An eerie one...it felt wrong. Much like the power Takeyashi demonstrated against the sandwyrms earlier that night, but different at the same time. Mako didn't seem too concerned with it though! When food was on the brain, there was little room for much else inside his head.

[OOC: Filler post is filler. Glad to get this thing back underway though!]
