It had been some time since she had entered the Forest of Death. Last thing he had remembered was something happening between Akumi, Hoshi, and an odd otter. But remembering wasn't exactly the right word for the current time as she wasn't entirely conscious at the moment. Her mind just played what she could remember at the time, though the world around her, time passed and everything. Nothing seemed to be different, outside of her parents worrying about her, but otherwise the world had went by as if nothing had happened. As if she had just disappeared without much of a trace after the meeting and the sudden explosion and realization that she would see that she had mouths on her palms after she'd wake up from whatever she was experiencing.
For Ritsuko, its as if time hadn't moved much at all as her unconscious body was in a camouflaged cocoon of clay that had kept her safe, though as to how she became surrounded in the clay, would mostly be a mystery for the time being but as the sky darkened and had soon started to let loose a downpour of rain. Sure, it had rained before after the dark haired girl had disappeared from the face of the planet but this time the cocoon had started to break away and turn to dust even in the heavy rain.
As the cocoon itself had broken away enough to reveal her body to the rain, it didn't take too terribly long for her to regain consciousness. Though she had regained it, she was in a fairly heavy haze, not entirely noticing that it was raining for a few moments. Even when she did, she'd slowly get up, feeling little from the world and even from the wound that was on her hand which hadn't healed even after all the time that had passed. By all logic, it should have, but at the current moment she just wanted her senses and her memory to not be as hazy as they were.
She'd put her uninjured hand on the ground to help her up, but would remain with her hand on the wet ground for a few moment just to collect herself as best she could before trying to stand up. With her palm facing the ground, the mouth on said palm had opened and started to chew on the grass and the mud that was openly available to it as the mouth was itching, so to speak, to chew on something as the mouths on her palms seemed to be more aware of the time that passed than she was. Not noticing the mouth on her palm chewing anything, standing up and staying upright was her first main challenge as her legs hadn't been used for some time, she stumbled for a moment before catching herself on a nearby tree with her injured hand.
This here would happen to be the time that one sense would expect to be hazy actually wasn't, her sense of pain. Wincing from the pain was the bare minimum of what she would do upon feeling the pain in her hand, but due to how hazy everything else was compared to how she felt overall, she'd easily be able to deal with it even if it was able to keep her mind off of how hazy she felt.
The mouth palm that had been chewing up the grass and mud had spit it out after a bit, with it falling onto the ground with the noise of it being muffled and drowned out by the rain. The clothes that Ritsuko was wearing clung to her body as she made her way through the Forest of Death, and even her hair that was put up in a certain way so that it was nice and neat was mostly down with how much the rain had messed with it.
Taking sluggish step after sluggish step, Ritsuko would make her way away from the spot that she had awakened from and made her way to where she thought the path, that she had strayed so far away from so long ago upon hearing explosions, was in. However as time passed with her steps, a decently loud explosion had happened shaking the ground even where she stood, causing her to slip on the wet grass out of surprise. The explosion was behind her, that much she knew, and with the sound of a tree falling not long afterwards with the gentle sounds of mud hitting the ground mixed along with the sound of the rain, somewhat spooked Ritsuko, and it showed on her face enough.
Slowly getting up, with both hands and wincing as she did so, she'd get up and look around for somewhere to stay until the rain let up but with the quick scan of her surroundings, she didn't find even a small cave to sit or stand and shiver in. Forcing herself to trek on, she'd hope that she was heading in the proper direction and not towards danger.
