After waiting what she believed was sufficient time, Megami removed the glove from her eyes and started to look around for her students. She gave herself 10 seconds of walking to find the boys before she would determine that they had successfully completed her challenge. She walked casually, and with little rush, simply looking around the large crafted forest. Instantly, she noticed that there was a body among the trees branches. Kyo, from what it looks like. "One. Good try though." It was a good effort on the boy's part, but it was a new execution after all, and some people didn't even choose to use the skill, so it could potentially be foregone altogether if they so choose.

She ventured further, walking around the trees. Her eyes scanned the branches some more, and overlooking shadows, but saw nothing of the sort that seemed out of place. She wasn't spotting heads or tails of these boys at all. But as she drew close to a certain spot, her life energy felt a distinct reaction to another presence. Her eyes turned and scanned the area, only to feel the realization that there was something beneath her. Considering she couldn't technically see whomever it was and it was difficult enough for most to detect, she would move on, considering them having completed the challenge.

Looking at her timer, she had a mere 3 seconds left to find the last. She continued to search, but found herself backtracking. Soon enough, the timer went off with a loud 3 beeps. "It's over. Good job to the remaining 2. Return to the entrance." Megami then headed out of the forest herself. When everyone had returned, she withdrew 3 cards from a pack. "Good to see you guys get the idea. We're going to try something harder. The job is more than just being able to hide. These are three cards, each has an item on it. You'll need to retrieve it without me discovering you. They are hidden in three locations, I'm not going to tell you which, and you will be given four locations to choose from. You will have three attempts to find or attain your item." Megami would extend the cards to the students, wait for them to take one.

After they had all received their cards, Megami pointed back to the forest. "Your locations are inside a tree trunk, on top of a large rock, buried in a leaf pile, and hanging from a tree branch. Once you have retrieved your item, return here. If I spot you, or you fail to find your item, you'll return to the entrance and try again. Begin." The time for questions was over. Once the students had entered the forest again to look for their items, she would wait once again for the respective amount of time, and begin her search. She felt rather unfortunate to whomever received the silver bell card, but she would be thoroughly impressed if they managed to get it back to her.

In this part, you'll begin automatically in undetected stealth, however you want to RP it. You'll then need to attempt to find your item. Upon searching a location, a stealth check will be made (by Souji). Regardless of failing or passing the stealth check, you will be informed what item is at that location (by me). You may claim the item if it is yours (in your next post) upon the passing of your stealth check. If you succeed at finding your item in the locations I gave and pass the stealth check, you've completed the challenge. Once again you may use 1 jutsu (per attempt) to aid you, and I will be modded at having maxed C-Rank stats. You will be given 3 rounds of posting to successfully complete this challenge.

As Lightning-sama removed her hands from over her eyes Shin stood as silent as he could almost hesitant to let out a single breath as to not draw her attention to him. As the moments seemed to drag on in almost agonizing worry of being discovered Shin decided to keep as calm as he could manage. In moments the test had finished and to his very surprise he had succeeded in the test Lightning-sama set before them.

With the test finished Shin returned to where his instructor stood as she explained the next part of their test. Shin looked diligently at the three cards going over in his mind what card he should take from her. His mind kept wandering and without even truly noticing he reached out to take a card from her. His card was that of a Silver Bell, Shin was unsure of what kind of difficulty this card would hold but there was no turning back at this point.

Shin with his card in hand scanned the area trying to figure the area of his objects possible position. His eyes rested on the hanging tree branch and so he set out for that location with haste yet being as careful as he could manage as to keep hidden. He crept silently towards it slowly he would carefully place his feet as if walking on glass. He was almost there almost on to where the branch was located. He took a breath to calm his nerves and began to search around the hanging tree branch for the Silver Bell.

[Moyamaru]

A motion of the hand and his palm had taken the card that was symbolic to the apple drawing etched onto it. His pupils gazed over the card, flipping it between his fingers before sliding the item into the edge of his belt pouch. Having been growing increasingly aware of the challenges this class was projecting, what he really wanted to know was what the purpose of this whole scenario served to make. Though truthfully even this question within the recess of his mind was already being answered simply by logistical elimination; Information gathering and retrieving a designated target without raising an alarm to where you were. His gaze migrated towards Megami although nothing was mouth from his lips, yet the unemotional glare from his pupils told more than what words could have possibly relayed. Oyochi was a calculating individual and those same methodical eyes belonged to many of his clan, including his brother Souji as like blood in many cases shown; they acted in similar fashion. Megami having had some dealings with his brother could possibly surmise that Oyochi would approach this task in an unusual manner separate from the others and if this was her guess then it would be correct. Before anyone had chosen to make their moves towards various locations designated by Lightning-Sama, she would have seen Oyochi doing counting with his fingers. Three people and three items hidden within four areas and three attempts was the overall status of the search. However in that time what he was able to discern from this and her wordings was that; only when they attempted a search would it count against them and that they weren't being told not to take alternative means to uncovering the location of each object. While it could very well be that not attempting at all would be counted as not try, Oyochi was a child of intrigue and when he came up with a course of action he was someone who stuck to it regardless of the consequences.

His gaze would migrate towards Kyo and Shin respectfully while still counting the options available to him on his fingers. He needed to understand the chances of the risk he took as out of four locations, three were bound to hold an item. And of the three to hold an item you were still only given twenty-five percent chance to uncover the right item. However by eliminating an area of interest from the search, naturally it would increase ones chances of finding his item though it would cost a search. This made him wonder, what if he eliminated two items of interest at the same time or attempted to at the very least...

As they began to divide up and search individual areas, Oyochi under the general cover of the same mist Shin had expelled in the area which kept him hidden would weave through handseals and place his palm against the earth. A clone of mud that soon came to resemble him completely would form although unlike him it resonated a presence that would simply seem to have appeared as if Oyochi had became visible. The purpose of having a clone was simple, it kept him in stealth while also technically allowing him to search two areas at the same time. While he personally continued to use the mist for cover and search the pile of leaves, his clone would boldly and openly search the area where the large rock was located. The logic behind this was simple, the instructions stated that they must search and find, regardless if they were spotted or not they simply would start over. He essentially was banking on the fact that either his clone or him would be able to eliminate or find their item within either spot and if the first option then at the very least he eliminated two spots in one search attempt leaving two others. Given the fact that the other two students would be searching these areas, the chances of an area being eliminated between them was also high. Given the odds, Oyochi's plan could eliminate three places in one go....

[Kiriyama Sadako]

Kyo had drawn the last remaining card which featured the picture of an explosive note, a brow raising in curiosity as he looked towards Megami. He certainly hoped it wasn't active, or was that a secondary part of the test where he had to find the explosive note AND survive? With a smirk he would take off into the forest, activating his Byakugan as he once again leaped up into a tree. With 360 degree vision and a visual range of about 500 meters he had an advantage over his classmates when it came to surveying an area. He could see that Shin went for the branches and Oyochi to both the rocks and leaves...so he would take his chances with the tree. Silently leaping down to his feet he would begin to move cautiously, his pale violet eyes open for any trees that could contain the note he searched for.

It was interesting the reactions of each of the students. They weren't at all what she had originally expected, well not entirely. Shin surprised her by snatching up the silver bell card. She had a theory as to why, but it would be interesting to see what his results would look like. Oyochi, with his cold, but calculating eyes, just seemed to stay emotionlessly at her as he took his card, the apple. Megami did not waiver, or flinch away, but instead just stared back before Kyo took his, almost giving her a sarcastic 'are you for real' look. Megami shrugged, she knew what she was doing. All of these lessons were tied together some how, so it would be up to them to analyze the situation that each of them were put in.

As they set off, she had no idea where they were going, nor who would find what. Well, not until she went looking. After sufficient time had passed she went looking in the places she had named, and had distinctly placed the items. Passing by the trunk, she made note that she saw no one. She wondered if no one had settled on it as a good place to search, though the note was hidden inside. Next, she moved onto the rock. She stood still, watching a copy of Oyochi wandering around the boulder. Megami moved on, he would find out soon enough there was nothing there. She also stopped again as she passed the pile of leaves. The rustling had caught her attention, making her aware of Oyochi. "Maybe next round. Not a bad idea though." Obviously she had been giving him a compliment on his idea of using the clone. Perhaps the training he had received thus far would lead him to a bright future in the branch. She would store that information away as she proceeded. The last place she checked was the apple which was hanging from the branch. There was a slight haze that fell onto her eyes, but nothing more. She heard no rustling, or breathing, and saw no movement.

Giving one last slow look around the make shift forest, she called out to the group. "Round 1 has come to an end. Kyo and Shin have passed the discovery test. All of you, bring the items you've found to me for final judgment before we begin Round 2." With that, Megami headed once more towards the entrance to the forest. This was perhaps the most drawn out portion of the class, but the rest would go quickly. Now to see whom had discovered what.

Between rounds will be 1 round of relaxed posting, discovering the results of the ended round. Then we will proceed to Round 2.

 

[Itsuki]

The branch of the tree did not hold the silver bell as Shin had hoped it may but instead it was the apple that the branch had produced from his search. This was a slight letdown for Shin to be honest as he had hoped that this may have been a moment to prove something to himself as well as the other shinobi even if it was something small like this the task held. Either way at the least he had found one of the objects so that would have to be good enough it would seem for the time being.

The whole time as Shin had kept himself hidden and taking the apple he kept as still and silent as he could as he had hope that Lightning-sama would not notice him as he did his best to remain undiscovered from her gaze. He seemed to have been at the least successful enough in his attempt to keep undiscovered as he heard Lightning -sama declare His and Kyo having passed this trial.

With this done Shin breathed a breath of fresh air as he came out from his location into plain view of the rest of the class.

"We did it Kyibi, good job too I could not have done it without you." Shin said softly to the young fox kit who also looked as though he had been doing his best to hide along with his human friend who carried him on his shoulder towards where lady seemed to beckon them. The young fox kit just seemed to radiate with pride as he himself may in his own mind be the first ninja fox.

Shin walked up to Lightning-sama's location and held his hand forward showing his find was the apple.

"This is the item I found though I was trying to find the silver bell.." He said with a mix of pride and embarrassment at finding an object and passing but at the time still failing to find his chosen target

With this now done Shin waited to see what was to come in this Round 2 she spoke of.

[Kiriyama Sadako]

Kyo would be searching through the trees, moving silently as he tried to find the one that may have had the note in it. His byakugan aided him by letting him look all around him without moving his head, finally spotting an opening where it may have been hidden. Sure enough there it was, the boy snatching it up and looking it over to make sure it was indeed what he was looking for. Turning he would head back to Megami, presenting her with the explosive not. "I had to get the explosive note...and here it is!" He would say as he showed it to her, a proud smile playing on his lips.

 

[Moyamaru]

Both versions of Oyochi would walk in unison towards the group, each having been obviously spotted as given the preliminary round in his mind was but a simple way to weed out the obvious wrong area(s) prior to an actual attempt. He had no intention to waste his energy frantically trying to figure out items locations each round with a hope and pray illusion to success. Physically he would sit down, his eyes tracking the other's mannerisms as well as soaking up their verbal speeches, which were filled with information. From their words he was able to discern some key points about the course as well as virtually weed out every other area all thanks to their open mouths. The only problem he found in the course was that they held the onto the items that they found, something that could mean that round two was an entirely different process, and it was this possible revelation that made him go against releasing his clone which stood right next to him. While he did not approach Lightning-Sama like the others that did not mean he did not bring his item, something he looked over before handing it off to his clone which would present it to the sensei.

Oyochi kept his eyes trained, refusing to allow them to leave the teacher for even a moment as he questioned so many things about the tasks they were being asked to perform.

 

[Mienai]

Looking over the students items, Megami saw that Oyochi's clone held the bell, Shin held the apple, and Kyo held the note that was not going to explode any time soon. Reaching out, Megami took the note from Kyo. "Congratulations, Kyo. You've completed the class. You're free to go when you wish." Placing the note back in her box, Megami turned to the other students. She would go to take the items from them, then to begin the second round. "The two of you did well, but let's see if you can't get your item this time. Round 2 will be the same as Round 1, same locations, but the location of inside the tree will be removed. The remaining 3 locations will still be in play, and your item could appear at any of them. They might even be in the same place." With that, Megami approached the forest. She took the apple and hid it in it's locations first. Then she moved to another location and hid the bell.

Coming back, she would nod towards the two students. Her original intention had been to take the time to discuss presentation when on acting duty, but she found herself running out of time. Things were getting incredibly busy around Iwa and she found herself swept up in it all. This would be the last test of the class. Should the students acquire the right item, they would pass. She was aware of each of the students strengths, and where each could use some work. Oyochi was adept in the his creative and intelligent use of implementing tactics that one normally wouldn't consider. He was emotionally stoic, she believed he had promise. Shin, though potentially needed to work on confidence, was quite good when it came to hiding. And Kyo was probably the most perplexing. It almost seemed like he needed work, but then he would succeed when it was most unexpected. Perhaps he was someone to watch more closely. Ah, no matter. These were just fleeting thoughts that came to her mind. Looking between Oyochi and Shin, she waved her hand in the general direction of the forest once more. "Begin when ready." Now she would just sit back and see what happened. Perhaps some more interesting development would arise.

Oyochi and Shin will need to try again for their items in Round 2.

 

[Moyamaru]

A problem with the Yukata clan was their strong unemotional ties, something that was both a strong point and a weakness for many varied reasons. Within Oyochi this manifested in his rather strong belief in attaining the end goal through unorthodox means or looking through orders to find a counter way to the end-game without actually doing things as expected of him. He was a wild card, a developing shinobi who would not do things by the book to reach the end goal but do things that were otherwise unique or creative in their exploitation. As Megami went through describing the next task which was ironically the same with a higher success rate Oyochi instead chose to simply observe the card with the apple he held. It would rotate slowly in his right hand while his serpentine eyes tracked each rotation, mentally distancing himself from the other's in the room. The boy's clone on the other hand would literally split into two pieces as it began walking towards the start of the course once more. Oyochi on the other hand did not bother to move a single muscle from his present location.

"In a real situation....we'd all be captured or dead by now."

He spoke these words in a rather cold tone of voice, something that shown that while he was stoic he did have a tendency to understand real world consequences to mock failure in coursework. In this particular case he had already deduced that if this was a mission which entailed following a target, retrieving a important item, or information gathering operations that required the members to remain undetected. They would have all failed and had paid a real world penalty, something that explain why he was not dead set on accepting flattery for creativeness or even for remaining "unseen" earlier since he had an inkling that while Megami initially did not find him, she knew he was there. Still unmoved, his eyes tracked towards Megami who was the target of his previous statement and placing his card back into his belt pouch the boy would place his hands together. Before he activated his jutsu, the clones prepared earlier would motion towards their designated locations with one going to search the location of the Rock and the other the location with the leaf pile once again. His fingertips moved together quickly before his body literally would simply fade as if he had been erased from physical appearance. While it was a jutsu that the Guardian/Anbu ranks knew, because he had learned it under his Overseer, he did not use it to search a new location. Instead Oyochi used it to remain where he was...unmoving.

This go round he averaged the success chance to have increased to sixty-six percent.

Kyo would be ecstatic once the teacher told him he had passed, a proud smile gracing his lips. After his performance in the previous test he had lost a bit of confidence, but now it seemed he was the only student to pass the second one in his first try, which helped out his esteem considerably. "Thank you, sensei. It's been an honor." He would say as he respectfully bowed before her before turning and leaving the forest, giving a final glance at his classmates and wishing them the best.

Shin was hopeful that this second round he may be able to find his chosen target for this challenge. As he stood there thinking what would be his best option to find the silver bell he listened to Oyochi's words about how if this was a real life mission both he and Shin would have failed and more than likely been killed from the many possibilities that could have taken place. These words were in all honesty disheartening to Shin as for just a moment he held a sense of pride inside of coming this far only to have reality dashed in front of him with what his efforts in a real battle would amount to.

Shin let out a slight sigh as he reached up and pat the young fox kit on the head as to not let the little guy worry about him.

His eyes would focus on the target locations that may hold the silver bell gazing back and forth doing his best to try and find some logic to how Lightlning-sama may place these objects this time around. As he watched these places he saw that the one boy Oyochi had two clones that he had seemed to set off for two different locations to search for his object.

"Ready Kyibi?"
Shin spoke softly towards the little fox as his hand created a seal recalling the mist to help hide his presence as he prepared to move towards his targeted location.

The tree branch was the option that seemed to be what was left open out of the others seeing as the clones had moved towards those already. With hope and his best precision Shin made his way back towards the tree branch hoping that his luck and belief that Lightning-sama would use the logic of already looking at a location to have Shin forgo looking again for the object.

This is my chance and I will take it Shin believed as he arrived once more at this spot only to see if he had the skills and luck to achieve his goals at this point in time.

Instead of wasting more time waiting for the students to go, she would allow herself to simply stay put. Making clones of her own, she sent them to trail after the students and watched their proceedings. Oyochi once again checking 2 places and Shin checking the same one. Luckily for both of them they had the same idea she did in checking the same spots, which indeed held the correct items this time. Oyochi's clones would find the apple, while Shin would find the silver bell. Though the trial had been to remain undetected and find the item, Megami was running extremely behind in what she needed to finish doing today. Knowing that the students had used good intuitive skills and at least had the general concept of what the lesson was, she could safely say that the lesson was complete and she was satisfied with their work. "Both of you have done well. Bring your items to the front once you've safely acquired them and you can leave. You've both passed." Doing as she said, she dispersed her clones and waited for the students to being their items to the front.

She mostly had them do such so she could double check that they indeed found their items, but also so she could get them back. She could say this class had been interested and she knew a bit about these three students now, but she wondered closely about what kind of potential the rest of them had. Now it was just a matter of waiting and everyone could go home. Maybe once this was all finished up and the rooms she had rented out for the purpose of teaching this was cleaned up, she would go out for a nice evening dinner. Or maybe she could cook something for a change. Maybe steak. Steak was good. Could never go wrong with steak.

[Moyamaru]

It would be rather quickly surmised by the teacher that the class would come to an end only after his clones had done their job and proven his calculated theory correct. Sitting upon the ground still under the effects of the active camo jutsu, both clones would return and the one which had claimed the Apple would place the item within Lightning-Sama's palms before standing there. They would both look at each other before suddenly returning to the form from which they were designed from, which was a pile of mud on the floor. Oyochi would fade calmly into view sitting where he was previously, his pupils still laid in a glaring gaze upon the sensei. He had many things to ask but none of the motivation or the care to actually go through with it. Having been grateful for the class ending, instead he would wait until it was dismissed properly before naturally leaving on his own free will with nothing more said between him. As he walked the boy's shadow would flicker and begin snaking up his body before dissolving his form within it. The shadow would afterwards just dissolve in the air similar to particles of dust blowing in the wind.

His footsteps would reanimate themselves only after walking from within the school, a white snake slithering from the brush would intercept the boy and quickly coil around his legs. This was one of the final times he would come to leave this place and truthfully it was not a bitter moment.
