Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The man next to Kamaru eyed him occasionally, it was usually after looking at the man bound in cloth from head to toe that would occasionally wiggle frantically while being carried by Kamaru’s Minion a craggy mass of walking dirt and stone. The fact Kamaru was walking casually at a brisk pace but didn’t seem bothered by the oddness of the situation messed with the man who walked with him a step or two behind on to his side. The fact Kamaru had taken his two quarries to a high point and said something to people just got him the explanation someone was going to be meeting them to escort him the rest of the way. He didn’t seem initially happy about it. He seemed indifferent now which made the man wonder what he didn’t know about.

As Kamaru finally stopped and waited two figures seemed to blur from the surrounds onto the path. The man next to Kamaru was a bit on edge until Kamaru spoke and relaxed some but not a lot. ”Here the target, brought the person hired to interrogate him as well, he’s the one in the bandages. Any word on the medical team to the village?” Kamaru stated moving straight into business.

One of the two formed symbols before the free one took the bandaged member of Kamaru’s party, ”No idea. Different team, different branch. You’re welcome to call it in.” he explained before handed Kamaru an envelope and motioning for the person with Kamaru to follow as well as the two moved towards the village. With a nod from Kamaru before he opened the envelop the man looked at the other two already leave and hurried to catch up.

Once it was confirmed he had gotten his target the politician turned informant let loose information on who was behind things. Kamaru sighed since it was leading to him assassinating someone, honestly it felt more like he just had to walk in someplace and kill somebody by the information given.

Faced with someone attempting to start a guerilla war with Iwa while tainting their supplies Kamaru had been ordered to take out the military figure in charge of the group. Meaning anyone in the way protecting him was going to be taken out as well. He scratched the side of his head and looked at the sun and the position on a map he would be headed. He had daylight he still needed to burn.

Sunset came at a small compound and a guard looked out as a gust of wind came tumbling towards him almost knocking him off balance. He never noticed the blur in the shadows. Disguised as a guard at the back of a formation the group stopped suddenly as a wail was emitted from someplace.

”Why’d we have to get posted in some abandoned build that was haunted??!?!?!” one of the other guards complained. No one silenced him or countered his concern. No one seemed to have an answer either.

[Flashback]
Meeting his contact on the way Kamaru found himself talking to a lawyer, supposedly the area the compound was in was ‘haunted’ the explanation of the man of how he was involved was lost on Kamaru who was more focused on his past few missions and their connection to one another even the man’s name was quickly forgotten as he made his way to the compound. Having finally notice the man had been talk to him he simply asked what since the man seemed to be waiting for a response.

”What are you going to do to get in and kill this guy?” he inquired.

”Sneak in… Kill ‘em. Not going to make it overly complicated.” Kamaru explained before moving out.

The man seemed kind of at odds with the over simplicity of plan. He wasn’t going in though so it was what it was.

[End Flashback]

Getting out of the patrol was easy enough the place was oddly dimly light for the headquarters of someone planning to attack Stone he thought. Slipping away had him moving down a hallway as the lights shifted around him each flickering as if going out before they blazed brightly in sequence down the hallway. He didn’t sense it was chakra and his mind spun as he heard footsteps marching towards him.

A detach came up on a man, granted although he was in uniform he looked out of place. One of the men walked up to him and was about to ask what the man was doing and why he was pointing at the wall. His eyes also focused on the floating lantern that bobbed in the air. As the initial discoverer fainted away the rest sprinted away with warnings of spirits leaving their fallen comrade behind.

A few minutes later the fainted guard sat up and sighed. Looking around Kamaru attempted to figure out where he needed to go and how to get there. He made a mental note to look into several good pranks if he got the notion to.

Inside an office Kamaru looked around, no one was there but things still didn’t look good. With maps of the village in parts around the room on tables and the walls plus pictures of the prominent buildings in Stone Kamaru didn’t like what he saw that much. Looking around he found another door out of the room and followed the pathway hoping to find his target.

Finally coming to a man walking down the hallway to a door Kamaru skidded to a halt. The man put down folders on a small table by a door and removed gloves regarding Kamaru. With a full beard and moustache the man was definitely Kamaru’s senior in years.

”I guess we’re doing this? Well I hope you’re resourceful since I’m old I don’t pull punches.” he stated.
Kamaru was about to say something back when his vision blurred. He felt something solid against his stomach… there wasn’t anything there but it felt hot. His mind screamed to catch to his body when he realized he had just be punched in the stomach… was it once. What did his elbow hurt? His shoulder? Kamaru realized he was on the ground and picked himself up.

The man ushered him up and commented, ”Alright your turn.”

Kamaru didn’t really get it but as his rushed the man hands darting to a weapon he felt young and inexperienced as the man watched his attack and barely moved out of the way. With the sudden pressure of iron grip fingers on his arm Kamaru tried to break free. But felt himself flying head over heels again down the hall from the man’s attacks. He had been right next to him and could still smell his aftershave, some earth smell plus sandalwood.

”If you’re here to kill me I suggest you come back in another 10 to 20 years… I should be ready to die of old age by then for you to have a sporting chance.” he advised.

Kamaru blurred through jutsu and sent a burst of flame down the hall towards the man who didn’t even flinch. Seeing the man take the brunt of his attack and not move except to clap softly had Kamaru’s mind blurring… What the hell did he really have to assassinate?

The man seemed pretty solid, able to soak most of Kamaru’s attacks that did lands which were not as many as he had hoped for. Kamaru hadn’t remembered the last time he had gotten into a fight where he had to get up off the ground this often. So he thought while he fought and tested out his overpowered opponent. He figured out his best move. Moving in for an attack he was about to get clobbered to the ground again when he vanished realizing Kamaru by the folder and taking off running got the man reaching after him violently starting to roar.

It was stopped short by a blinding light followed by a flash of a soft glow from a lantern before it was swatted away. Kamaru whistled seeing the man’s true form. He was Kamaru’s senior in more than just age…

Looking at the man at over 2 and a half meters tall he realized the man’s neck had the same span as Kamaru’s waist… the proportion of muscle mass had Kamaru figuring out why he was knocked to the ground so easily. The ruptured areas of skin though made Kamaru wonder since he couldn’t tell if it looked like something had tried to bite him or something was trying to escape his body.

Longer reach, more destructive melee moves, better at close quarters combat, and a high level of stamina meant Kamaru was at a bit of a lose. Kamaru though wasn’t slower than the man. Not being able to hit Kamaru as easily now plus better tactics to knock the bigger man around wore him down.

”Ten years seems to come quicker for some…” Kamaru commented moving back into the shadows again in the middle of an attack pattern only to have the man’s arm get stuck mid air.
As the larger man finally fell Kamaru could feel the weight of the fight on him as well. Opening the door with keys he found on the defeated leader a man inside the room shudders and begged to not be killed. Seeing Kamaru and the headless leader he looked back to Kamaru without missing a beat, ”I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the organization if you help me escape and ensure my freedom from these bastards.

Kamaru sighed as cold sweat trickled down his back under his shirt, looked like he’d have another detour on a mission.
