Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Through Ai's window clouds could be seen in the near distance, growing ever more dark and gloomy. As they billowed closer and closer to town there could be a soft "tip tap" on the window, which then quickly turned to a heavier "pitter patter". Outside people could be seen running for cover and pulling out umbrellas as the clouds spat out their tear shaped beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. The roofs and canvas's of the shops below danced with spray and a soft murmur about the rain could be heard from the people outside. It sounded like the buzzing of angry bees.

Soon-after the tar black clouds rolled in and opened fire upon the town, a figure stepped out of the shadows to present itself to Ai. You have been summoned... the figure said as he handed Ai a tied scroll. And just as quickly as it appeared it was gone. If Ai were to read the scroll it would read as following, You are to appear before the mission council immediately for a mission briefing, details will follow. And as the last word was read the scroll would crumble to dust.

When it rained, it poured, it opened doors. That was the case with this very evening as Ai was about to find out. Sheltered from the slow crackle of the clouds above, he watched gazing deeply in appreciation. The rain was something he felt was rather un-appreciated. Sure it made everything wet and cold, but what about the cleansing smell it brought forth? Or the peaceful simplicity of nature’s law that tugged and pushed at them all through the very act of living itself? Smiling, he fell even more in love with the land he had grown up in.

Out of the shadows a figure appeared and handed Ai a scroll. Gone just as swiftly as it had appeared the figure was gone. Pausing for a moment in contemplation, he simple stared at it. ‘Why does the weird shit always happen to me?’ Ai wondered. Opening the scroll his distain quickly turned to excitement as he read its contents. To his amazement, the scroll seemed to dispose of itself. The whole secrecy of the situation only intrigued him further. The night had just begun.

Making his way to the embassy, he quietly entered the building. Nodding to the doorman Ai followed the signs as quickly yet collectively as he could. Truth be told his heart felt as though it would beat its way through his sternum and as he reached his destination he paused to catch his breath. Taking a few deep breaths to compose himself Ai traced the placard that adorn the door before him with shaking fingers. It read: “Council Chambers” Shoving his was through, the doors slammed behind him. Not breaking pace Ai entered the room and announced his presence with a dramatic if not comical salute. This was his opportunity to break free – instead he felt that it may have been impossible to fly. Caught between fear and excitement he hoped it wouldn’t pass him by!

“Ai Kame – Here to spread my wings!”

As the doors slammed behind Ai, he announced himself... ready to spread his wings or something rather. This was not to be some glorious mission that would earn him fortune or fame. No, this mission was about lies, deceit and death. This was to be a mission strictly off the books. Yes yes, come in, there is no need for gaudy entrances. Lets get right to the point...

The room was dark, only lit by a few candles to avoid arousal of many other people. There was but a single council member and two anbu at his side. The council member reaches down and slides a drawer open and pulls out a file to slide across the table, gesturing Ai to take it. In this file is some photos of your targets... He said with a strong, deep tone. It seems that assassination was on the menu tonight. Recently we captured a slave trader, and after long hours of....interrogation...he released some information that we verified to be true. The councilmen shifted in his chair and gestured at the photos. It seems that Mr. Yukibi, a diplomat from a nearby town, has been allowing these slavers, and others of the same nature, to trade freely in our country. The diplomat is dirty, but the political ramifications of bringing his actions to light are much to...tiresome and brings along more baggage then we wish to deal with. So you're to assassinate him. Unfortunately, due to the nature of his crimes and demeanor, he knows the legal risks of his actions. Meaning he has a decently heavy guard.

He has two main lackeys...the first, the one with the ridiculous hair cut, is Boku. He is a moron and doesn't have much fighting capability other then fire ninjutsu. The second however is a tricky one, we are unsure of what his name is or his specialty is as he can use just about everything. Be wary, he also has a small platoon of thugs, eliminate his guard and then Mr. Yukibi. Be unseen, kill all witnesses. Do not kill anyone not directly affiliated with the diplomat.... After handing Ai a small piece of paper with the location of his wherabouts he dismisses Ai from the chambers to complete his mission.

Ai listened carefully as his mission was layed out before him. ‘Assassination, eh?’ He thought to himself. Reflecting on the mission at hand, he couldn’t understand why he of all people had been chosen for this mission – still, off the books or not this was his chance to prove himself. But murder? He had never so much as killed a spider, and was unsure if he had it in him. Ignoring the councilman’s dismissal, Ai opened the file. Taking a moment to memorize the faces it contained, he closed it and pushed it back to the council member. The location was on the other side of a street he knew; he was overwhelmed and frankly scared as hell.

“Consider it done, I’ll report back when I’m finished..” He explained

Glancing furtively to the two ANBU, he smiled and spoke.

“Though, I trust you’ll be watching?” He said

Nodding to himself in more than anyone, Ai bowed and left. The evening had deepened and he was more than pumped for the mission at hand. Taking a quick mental note of his own skills Ai realized that a head on confrontation would likely result in his own death.. but Genjutsu was his forte. By gods he was gifted too. On the upside of a downward spiral, this passion of his could have gone viral. ‘Maybe that’s why they picked me?’ With a blur Ai slipped into the night.

(about an hour later)

Perched upon the roof of his targets location, Ai flipped through some hand signs. (Transformation – Mastered) To anyone walking by, he would simply appear to be a dark brown owl. Pressing one feathered ear upon the widow seal while formulating a battle plan, he listened in. ‘Hmn.. Ninjutsu, I can’t beat that.. And the other guy? Shit man. Don’t fail.. Don’t fail..’ He worried. After several moments he could make out more than a one voice inside, and an idea occurred to him. Looking through the window he spotted Boku conversing with Mr. Yukibi.

Ai couldn’t quite make out the words, but it didn’t matter. Closing his eyes in focus, he concentrated on Mr. Yukibi while performing more hand signs. (Charismatic Breakdown – Mastered) Waiting about a minute for the conversation to progress, Ai switched his focus to Boku and with a few more hand signs his first move was played. (Taunt – Mastered) Yes, with any luck he hoped to make them do the dirty work for him. Yep, this mission was no drive by. One thing was certain though, this night was certain to be a highlight. Leaning back against the roof Ai steadied his breath and waited for the fun to begin.

With Jutsu cast, his plan had been set in motion. With the hopes of a conversation turning sour he would have to wait and see what happened. Though he could not make out the conversation through the window the visual signs were all he needed. Mr. Yukibi had clear signs of paranoia, his posture changed and his hands and face were sweating. Boku on the other hand seemed to get more aggravated, more violent. He was pointing and poking Yukibi and making gestures to his hair. Perhaps Yukibi had something rash about his hair? As Yukibi had been backs into a corner, Boku's arms had burst into flame singeing things nearby.

Just when things looked as if all home for Yukibi was lost the door across the room opened. It was his other personal guard, the third man from the photos. In the blink of an eye he rushed across the room and knocked boku away. With flaming arms now doused boku arose and scratched his head, appearing to plead to the third man. The third man weaved some signs and seemed to cure Yukibi of his ailment. He looked around the room and began looking out windows. If only Ai had taken the time to scout a bit more he would have seen the third person was just outside the room that the two were conversing in.

Now the question is, will Ai be able to remain undetected while the unkown man searches for any signs of misconduct. He was quick in his searching, but who is quicker to react, the man...or Ai...

Ai's plan was abruptly interrupted. He watched as the third guard entered the room, freeing the first two targets from the genjutsu. 'Cancel jutsu..' He thought. Realizing that his transformation jutsu would have also been broken, he quickly flipped through the renewing hand-signs. With his time to flee having been spent on the transformation – anyone looking out the window would see this looking in:

Underneath the windows ledge he continued with a flurry of yet more hand-signs. (Temple of Nirvana – Rank 1 x3) Thinking on the fly, Ai had to move onto plan-b. Improvisation was certainly not one of his many skills, but he had the advantage of surprise. Focusing from each target he hoped to drop them all at once. Luck willing, he would be able to clear the room without disturbing anyone downstairs. Chuckling as he cast forth the jutsu, Ai wondered what they could be thinking. If noticed, Ai would mouth the words, “Probing time~”

As the unknown man peered about looking for any sign of an intruder he came upon a strange looking animal in the window. What the... Were the last words he spoke before hitting the ground. The same fate was met for the other two. They hit the floor making a loud thud. Hopefully the other guards in the facility didn't hear that. With the small group now asleep, what would Ai's next step be? Surely his time frame would be short, even though he was a very skilled young individual, he was still young none the less. The jutsu would wear off in a few moments for the stronger willed, Boku on the other hand might be out for a while now. With only moments to spare and a possible group of guards coming, this was the time to decide, fight or flight. He needed to make a move quickly...

[OOC: no problem man lol, as long as the entire mission makes the word requirement i dont care how short the posts are....plus it gives me an excuse to do the same ^^ lol]

Ai wasted no time. As the bodies hit the floor he body switched (Body Switch – Mastered) with a vase inside the room. As the vase crashed outside, he swiftly kicked up a chair and wedged it firmly between the door knob and the floor. Securing for himself a moment of two of peace to work with, he dropped the transformation jutsu and swiftly moved to the second of the two guards figuring that since he’d snapped Boku and the diplomat out o the previous genjutsu – he had to be dealt with first.

Leaning over the second man, Ai drew a single kunia. With a flourish he didn't know he had in him, Ai raked the Kunai deep and true across his jugular. As the man would fall he would be released from the Temple of Nirvana with a mere moment to live before he bled out. Ignoring the shower of blood and yet taking note of the sickly sweet smell that filled the air, Ai moved onto Boku. Dropping to his knee’s he knelt and slit his throat as well. More blood came pouring forth, like a breaking dam the flood began.

Fearing a rear assault from either of the two mortally wounded men, Ai body switched (Body Switch – Mastered) over to Mr. Yukibi. Pulling a wad of explosive notes from his pocket, he charged them. With not an ounce of grace, Ai crammed them deep into Mr. Yukibi pants. Satisfied that his explosive load was firmly fixed in place, he cackled. The cackle sent shivers down his own spine, but it was to late to stop now. ‘I’m enjoying this to much..’ He thought. With any luck, the resulting explosion would rupture both arteries leading up through the legs – and truth be told, Ai needed a signature! Chuckling to himself – Ai ran and dove at the window. Hopefully the blast and his well-aimed dive would help him clear the ledge and grant him a desperate jolt for freedom.

What was he becoming? Was he beginning to lose his mind, or was he simply becoming a man with a dirty job? Ai didn't know anything for sure, and as his blood raced – his thoughts spun. His heart was conflicted upon accepting this mission, and now it was filled with a cold conviction. Yes, he was now in blood itself a shinobi at last.

-SMASH- went the vase as it crashed into the street below. Huh? Said one of the guardsman. Walking over to the shattered pieces the guard looked around. That was weird... he muttered to himself. All of the men in that room were dead...Ai's mission was nearly over, now to make a run for it... -BOOM- went the explosive notes. Looking to the rooms above the guard saw Ai leaping from the window making a run for it. HEY!!!! WE GOT AN INTRUDER!!! he yelled to his other guards....The chase was on...would Ai turn and fight or try and run and hope he didn't get a good look at him?
