Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shouyu found himself outside of the village gates again. Last time he was here it was the thunder plains where he tested his reaction ability failed miserably. But even then, he had a small glimmer of hope to find ‘something’. The young, newly graduated Genin felt a cold breeze brush up against the bare parts of skin showing through his chosen attire today. He was in the heartland of Kaminiri no Kuni. It was a vast grass land, from his distance he could already see many different animals and vegetation for miles! But he chose to ignore these, and look for a perch, and very flat surface.

His black ninja sandals that let his toes breathe were getting tickles by the tall the grass with every step the Genin took deeper into the pasture. Almost every ten seconds or so, a small breath of wind would blow past him, flapping his long loose ponytail in the wind. He walked with a squint in his eyes protecting his precious Hyuuga hues from everything in the wind that stirred up with each step and breeze. He inhaled, enjoying the fresh crispness of this industrialized air, and it felt so good in his lungs.

Eventually, away from the deeper parts of the plains and grazing animals Shouyu found a six foot tall perch, with a rather pointy top. He examined this perch form the base to its pinnacle with a nod, rubbing his bare chin with his left hand index finger and thumb. Once satisfied with his thoughts of the perch, he took note, and moved along to find a platform, maybe a tablet of stone or some sort. Just a few feet away he found a large chunk of bark, that seemed big enough for what he needed, he kneeled down almost disappearing in the tall grass taking the bark within his clutches.

As he rose the bark was bigger than he thought, probably marred off by some giant beast looking for nourishment from the land. Shouyu began to walk back to the perch and stood beside it, eyeing its highest point once more. With one leap he jumped clean over the tip, swiftly but gently placed the bark flat beneath his bottom as he prepared himself to sit. He channeled chakra into his fingertips holding the board to keep it steady on the pinnacle of the perch so as he were to sit down it wouldn’t fall unbalanced.

It worked just perfectly, he was now sitting cross legged on the boarded platform, slowly releasing his grip from the board. His movements were precise, slow and steady as both his hand finally met each other, palm to palm with interlocking fingers and extended indexes and thumbs laying symmetrically together. It was a tiger hand seal and as soon as he performed this his chakras began to surge through his body wildly but still in very much control. He was practicing utter stillness in a moving environment which would prove difficult to most, but at the moment the Genin would make it look all too easy.

As this mysterious fellow appeared to be practicing some form of shinobi arts, there was a creature hiding themselves as they watched this individual doing his training. After a reasonable amount of time, this creature decided to move in and make their attack on the individual as they landed a hard chop on the back of the neck above the first thoracic vertebra knocking the mysterious fellow down before proceeding to drag the boy with some assistance from others to a disclosed location far from where he was training. The one that orchestrated the attack would head off to do their thing leaving the two creatures alone with the boy waiting for him to wake up from his little chop to the back of his neck. Thankfully, they wouldn't have to wait long as the boy's body would start to react again after the brief "nap" that he had taken.

After the boy would open his eyes, he would see there was a seal sitting on either side of him and they would be staring at the boy probably being taken a little back since they were simply animals. The scene around the boy was a strange one to say the very least; there was plenty of water surrounding him on every side except one direction where there seemed to be a cave. The seals would sit there looking at one another trying to conjure up what the mastermind behind this plan wanted them to do before the one on his right would speak up: "Hello Human! We have been told to watch over you till you awoke and now that you are awake, our job here is done or is it? You see you were knocked out by our boss and we had to help drag you to this location because you caught her eye for some reason. She didn't say what we were suppose to do next, but she told us that we were suppose to assist you with finding her but without simple giving her location away. So Human, your trial begins now it appears! Where are we heading?"

The other seal would look up at the sky and notice that the weather was beautiful today, but there was always the possibility of that changing ever so quickly. After all, the boy had no idea of the weather in the coming hours nor was he aware of high tide or low tide times of the location they were at or if they even made a difference. But, he would have to make a decision of what he wanted to do but the other seal would speak up before he could answer. "It appears that we have either a cave or the ocean here. Seeing as we are seals, we can stay up on land with you, Human. But, we do need to eat at some point and our food is in the ocean deep down. Looking around here, there appears to be no food for a human like yourself to eat unless you want to try to catch something from the ocean. But you might catch one of our friends and we would be sad if you ate them."

The two of the seals wold then speak at once: "Human, what will we do? Our master is waiting for you and she doesn't like to wait too long." It was a great question indeed for the young man, what would they do? He would have to think long and hard on this since he wasn't going to be able to get out of this predicament that he had been thrown into until he either found their boss or gave up and threw in the towel. But, there were so many questions that he probably had for the seals like where was he and who was their boss. These would all come to fruition in due time.

He could feel the limiters inside of his body maintaining his chakra. As much as he tried to surge the flowing energy beyond capacity it was capped passively by his own body. The clench of his hand seal grew tighter and his chakra would be physically fought as wind around him he was just about to break one and possibly enter Hachimon Kaimon and then! ...

CHOP!

He was sound asleep...

Dragged away but what who when and why? But when he woke, the back of his neck a bit sore, he slightly opened his right eye revealing a pale hue observing. He was surrounded by vast bodies of water, a cavern and... Seals. Some within immediate range and were all staring back at him, he was blinking both eyes now. No, he wasn't dreaming, he could feel his neck sore, quickly deducting that he was caught off guard deep in his meditation. His thoughts were interrupted by a seal to his right, he turned his head rather quickly.

"Hmmm..."

Would the answe the young child would give as he listened and took in what the seal said. He paused and thought,'So, I was knocked out by their boss. Brought here on a search for Her, and she has seal companions who will now help me? Okay, well then maybe she is a seal? Wait..'

"Okay, well first... Is there anything I can know to help my find your boss? As in, is she a Seal like yourself? Or, her preference of food maybe? That way, I will be able to know where she goes for a food source, and find a better general location there. Seeing that, I am lost here myself. My immediate first thought would be... to swim."

He looked around, and rose to his feet, dusting off his torso and legs. He would place his right hand over his brows to shield his pale hues from the bright light and peer into the water. It was water for miles.

The right seal would begin to address the boy again after the boy had a few moments to regain his senses and try to figure out where exactly he was at. It was reasonable to question where he was since he had been only meditating what seemed to be a few moments earlier. But, now he had to deal with the situation on hand or admit that he wasn't truly interested so the seals could let him leave under conditions. In any case, the right seal began to talk: "Well, she isn't here that is for sure. She is out there in the ocean somewhere, but to get to her, it will be a daunting task. See, she is not too far away from us right now, but we cannot give you her location at all. Let's just say that she is waiting to see if you can get to her easily or if you are going to struggle and die in the process. However, she isn't hiding in that cave so she must be in the ocean somewhere. The question is where, Human?"

Once one seal was finished, the left seal and the female of the duo would then address him: "Our boss is not a seal like us. She is too beautiful to be a seal with her soft, flawless skin and her elegant voice. However, she needed us to drag you here since she isn't one to get her hands messy and we were more than happy to assist her since there was fish involved. We love fish, Human. As for what she likes to eat, it depends on her mood to be honest but she never has to look for her food herself since she had plenty of willing followers like your kind and us." So he had that she was beautiful and wasn't a picky eater, but that didn't really give him much to work with.

The two seals would then again speak as once to the boy: "So Human, are we going into the water or do we need to talk some more? The longer you make her wait, the more bored she will become of you and she won't want to play with you anymore. We are sure she is waiting right now preparing herself to see you and see what that body of yours can do to find her. After all, she is part-human herself or at least that is what we believe." He was probably already getting annoyed with these two creatures talking to him but not giving him any real advice or guidance. They seemed preoccupied with eating some food though as they were hungry after dragging this kid from his previous location all the way to this secluded area just to test him. But, they had to do what their boss wanted or they could be punished severally for their lack of work.

Shouyu nodded at the boy seal to the right who had affirmed his suspicions which caused him to ask the question in the first place. Shouyu's right hand began to rub his bare adolescent chin in thought again once the seal concluded. His head turned to the left, a female seal began to speak and answer his other question. His right hand fell to his lap with his left. She was vague, but gave some crucial information that truly dumbfounded Shouyu."Wait... She's not a seal. Definitely a female but... soft skin? Elegant voices? What has... soft skin in the ocean? And is apparently capable of capturing fish. With followers like myself?" Shouyu nodded at the female seal.

He was raising his right index finger in response before they both spoke in unison. Shouyu again nodded, lowering his right hand listening. They seemed to be rushing him, as if this boss was impatient. But his jaw dropped, almost into his lap as well, sparks buzzing in his brain confused.'A HUMAN??!! PART HUMAN??!!' He was now truly confused, what could be part human in deep sea. And if that was the case, how did she expect a full human to travel that fast?! He was looking down at his hands, eyes shifting left to right quickly in thought. He was attempting the assess all the information as soon as possible.

Regardless if they were in a hurry or not, the seals began to eat. Shouyu grunted as he pushed himself up with his palms to a standing position. He stretched, hands over his head and reaching to left and right, bending at the hip and reaching for his toes, twisting his torso and rotating his neck. He was finished he grunted again and closed his eyes.

"So, part-human you say? I propose the both of you carry me while underwater. You could swim a lot fast than I can, and hold your breath for a lot longer. But... I don't know if my eyes can see..."

He finally opened his eyes with a flash and an immense amount of chakra being funneled through the capillaries around his cornea and outer eye. The kid activated his doujutsu, the Byakugan. If there were to be any forms of chakra network in the water he would be able to find it, at least anything directly within range of about 1,000 meters in diameter. The kid would step closer to the ledge, as if ready to jump, his face was blank. He would look back to the feasting seals with a boyish smile chuckling.

"Whenever your ready let's go! I'll be the eyes and you two will be the speed boat. He will find her and get there in record timing! I assume your boss has some fundamentals on chakra, so I should be able to see it if we can get within range of her! Well, whadd'ya waiting for?!"

As the boy was doing his own thing to prepare himself, the two seals continued to feast down of some disclosed foods. The snack that they were having was scrumptious to say the least, but they definitely were not going to be sharing their snacks with anyone that was on trial for their master especially this boy. After all, this boy seemed to have some special abilities with his eyes as veins became evident near them and he mentioned something about being able to see if they got into the range of their master. Unfortunately, the boy wasn't aware that his already odd day was going to get even more difficult and confusing possibly. See, the seals knew exactly what was going to happen when the boy went into the water that was a few steps from him literally, but he did not which would make this more eventful to say the least.

In any case, the seals would nod at him finishing their meals before continuing. As he should've been aware by now, the male seal would speak first: "Technically, we aren't supposed to assist you at all with getting to our master. But, we will help you in the waters since you may not be able to swim and we wouldn't want you to drown especially since our master would be disappointed that she had us do all this work for her after she knocked you out......." It was true, their master while beautiful had put a lot into that knockout blow since she wasn't aware of how strong the boy was while he was meditating. If she had put her full strength behind the blow, it could have likely broken something in the boy and left him partially or fully paralyzed. But, she had been safe with her blow by giving him a little, hard blow.

The sister seal would then continue their dialogue towards the kid:".......We are ready if you are, Human. But, not everything that you see is always ideal...just remember that moving forward as we take no responsibility in what happens to you. If you die, we will not hesitate to hide your corpse or feed it to other creatures in the water that are a little ways from this location. It would depend on what our master wants from us." The boy had best listen to these seals by now because he was a little overconfident from what they could see thus far and he was going to probably see how handicapped he truly was when he was swimming with the fishes, literally.

The seals would then begin to head towards the water after the sister seal gave her part. As the seals headed towards the water, they would again both address him at the same time: "If you are ready, let's go into the water already. You best prepare yourself though, Human. It isn't going to be an easy voyage for any of us, we are sure of it! Once you are ready, put your arms on either side of us and we will begin the fun journey." They were already deep into the water to the point where he couldn't see anything other than their cute heads above the water. All the boy had to do was take a little swim towards them and they would begin this "quest" to find the master and one who knocked the boy out.

They kept pestering the child to just jump in the water already. Couldn't they understand what he was hesitating. This was all a bizarre turn of events from meditating in the field to water wonder land playing hide and seek. His swimming skills weren't too superb and underwater his combat skills would likely be negated. So much for fire and lightning jutsu. But, with all this water, it could make for some serious water jutsu. He nodded, and peered into the deep blue.

The seals were already in the water, beckoning him and so he leaped, arms out head first and grabbed onto the boy seal, his head was bobbing at the surface. The kid inhaled deeply and held his breath at the peak of his small lungs and ducked his head under water. He didn't have to open his eyes to see at all. Under the surface there were so many chakra networks of various colors and sizes it literally almost confused the kid and made him want to deactivate his eyes. But he shook his head, which seemed slow motion because of the water pressure.

His head turned left to right, everything around seemed to be small and deeper down, the sea grew darker in debt but more fervent and illustrious lights could be seen. He wondered if she could be deep down rather than far out. Shouyu pointed in the direction opposite of the cave, and down. He first wanted to see what was down there, hopefully nothing threatening, he hadn't yet fully thought of defense plan down here, taijtusu and most of his ninjutsu are useless down here. The kid would focus and try not to let any air bubbles escape.

Eventually, the boy would jump into the water grabbing onto the male seal and would look under the water to take in all the "scenic" imaginary. It appeared after a few moments, he wanted to go down opposite the cave and the seals nodded to one another. But before they would head down, the female seal would look over to the boy and forewarn him of what could possibly happen: "We will take you to where you want to go. But, I will warn you that these waters have done weird things to people before and your body may not be able to comprehend it all right away. These waters do not affect us creatures who inhabit it, but they do certainly have a short and long-term effect on humans like yourself. Also, what should we call you, Human?" Before he could answer however, the other seal would chime in and a slight hint of annoyance could be felt from him as he spoke in response to his sister's spiel: "That's enough, Sister. We are heading down now since Master is probably growing impatient. You know how she can be when she finds something that catches her interest. She probably wants to see if the boy can manage to find her before her time and patience run out. We are going." That was all the dialogue that would be able to be released as the male seal dove down into the water taking the boy with him. His sister would follow.

As they wait down, the boy would notice there was more pressure slowly pushing on his body and he would probably need to go up for air. But, what he would notice was it appeared that neither him nor the seals would need to go up for air as none of them were having difficulties breathing. However, all his abilities that utilized chakra which would include his eyes would be having difficulties activating and the further they went down, the more difficult it became. But, he could still see everything as before, he just lost control of the chakra networks that he might have been able to see before. All around them, there was no other signs of life in the form of animals but there was obvious plant life.

As they journeyed further into the ocean, the male seal would begin to speak up again. "Human, you probably are aware that your body has already to become affected by this water. The water is chakra-suppressing meaning you will be able to use any chakra while you are down here. You may have also noticed if you weren't panicking that you can breathe without any troubles which is also due to the mysterious ocean that we are in. As for where we are headed, well...you will see soon."

This was true from the male seal as they would go into the dark abyss that the boy pointed at earlier which still had some light illuminating, but the seal knew what was going to happen. Unfortunately, he was told not to tell the boy anything regarding where his master was so they pressed on. When they got to where the light was illuminating from, the boy could see that they had gotten to the Mesopelagic Zone of the ocean. There was swarms of creatures swimming around in this area of the ocean and the seals carefully had swam into a little cavern under water to stay out of the sight of the creatures so they could speak to the boy. The female it appeared would do the talking this time around with an obvious sign of nervousness coming from her voice: "So Human, we are in the Mesopelagic Zone which is often referred to as the twilight zone or the midwater zone of the ocean. This is an area of the ocean that no normal seal nor human could get to from swimming along as the pressure that we felt coming down would have been possibly tenfold. As you can see, we are surrounded by a lot of creatures that inhabit this part of the ocean and not all of them are exactly friendly to us. We will have to trend carefully moving forward in this area of the ocean or we could be a meal for many of these creatures...this place still creeps me out even after being here so many times before."

The plunged into the deep, the female seal began to speak. She spoke of the water in a mysterious way but the deeper they trekked the harder it was to hold his breath, and his views of the bright chakra began to dim. The seal asked his name and he wondered how would even answer underwater, but right after the male seal jumped in, his head turned to him. He only ended that conversation shortly and prompted to focus on the journey. But even now his vision was beginning to distort and flicker, confusing him and even the chakra inside of his body felt, stalled.

Just as thoughts of what could be going on stirred in his head, the male seal answered all questions. It was a chakra suppressing water! He knew immediately when he jumped in he felt a bit, off. What was even more wonderful was the seal told Shouyu he could and breathe and so he tried, exhaling his breath and water allowed him to do so, he was shocked. He caught his breath in a few slow heaves and spoke. "Thanks for the tip. The name is Shouyu by the way. This journey will be a lot more difficult without chakra..."

The abyss grow darker on approach still with a small beam of light emanating. Shouyu observed his surroundings with his minimal vision and couldn't even see a glow of chakra, just outlines moving. There was no telling the numbers, but deep down this below they were not alone. The seals had to maneuver their through the bustling sea bottom into what felt like a cave before. This was totally not his turf, he became to think that maybe this wasn't such a good idea. They arrived at the light, the female seal began to talk and give a warning. Apparently this was some kind of danger zone. Shouyu felt heavy as a brick from all the weight of the water pressure being this deep, it could almost crush his young body. He spoke weakly.

"Well, so what is this light? Don't tell me it's one of those creatures. If that's the case this place doesn't seem like the right place. We should high tail it out of here and back into view where my eyes could see a bit better."

The power in his eyes were fading quickly being this deep in the water, and moving blind didn't feel like a wise idea since he was on a wild goose chase with no clues. He'd grunt from frustration before peaking around the cave. Everything was so dark around here he had lost sense of direction, he turned back to the seals.

"Or, I assume your boss is deeper, is this here is my test right? Let's make haste, scratch the first idea. We will delve deeper. But, I would like to capture that light if I could!"

Shouyu peeked over the cave with his eyeballs at the light. Slowly he rose himself up as if ready to launch himself at the light. He had one hand on the hilt of his short sword, Ninjato that lay vertically upon his back.

This Hoshi-human had been placed in a safe location this deep in the ocean and the seals originally thought that they would have a moment to breathe and try to get the boy to think rationally about what he was doing. It appeared the boy was having second thoughts about his decision as he mentioned that he hoped that the light wasn't radiating from creatures and if it was, he wanted to go somewhere else that he could utilize his special eyes; but, he would decide against his initial thought and seemed that he wanted to go even deeper in the ocean. Interesting to say the least.

But before the party decided to go anywhere, Hoshi would peek out from the cave at the light that was a little further down from them with his hand on the hilt on his sword. As he was peering out, he would feel a push on his back sending him out into the open where all the creatures around him for the most part didn't care at all. However, the light that he was looking at before was rushing towards him and had split off into three different "squads". The first "squad" that swam at him were little sharks that were illuminating and they swam to either side of him clearly on interested in him at all as they were herbivores. However, the other two "squads" rushed straight toward him and he would not be able to react quick enough to evade all of them as one of the "squads" would chop down on his left leg and arm and if he knew enough about marine life, he would notice they were nasty angler-fish with razor-sharp teeth. Blood would begin to leak from the boy as the seals watched from the cave in horror at what the pusher had done to the poor boy before she swam away giggling in the process.

The Hoshi-human was in a very sticky situation from the pain from the bites to bleeding out. But, he still was able to manuever enough to fight back if he chose to do so or he could use an alternative method to get rid of these pesky creatures. It could prove to be suicidal for him and/or the angler-fish however depending on what he did. The question that needed to be addressed now for Hoshi was what was he going to do? He had a lot of options at this moment, but if he didn't do something quickly he was going to die and never find the culprit that pushed him nor the one who knocked him out initially. He most certainly wanted to find them before he passed on to the next world.

Shouyu was peering over the cave top when he felt a push from behind him, propelling him forward. Easily he floated flabbergasted into the open deep sea, he flailed. After many rotations he came to a dizzy stop, viewing the light split it into three. Everything happened too fast for him to clearly discern what was happening. So many questions flooded his mental at this moment.

What pushed him, one of the seals? No way, he continued to think. Why did this light split in three, why is surrounding me? He immediately thought this was the end of his life and so he unsheathed his ninjato revealing the small short double edged sword.

One light swam right passed him so it seemed, another light missed him totally, another ended with Shouyu yelping, feeling an immediate intense pain on his arm and leg, after he had just finished healing from a long time of recovery. His crimson blood filled the ocean and was sure to attract more creature like this.

He reached quickly by shoving his ninjato slowly, because of the water pressure, into each of the fish, or sharks whatever it was he didn't know. They were dispatched of easily, Shouyu cut thick pieces of his clothing off and tightly wrapped his wounds with a compost of heavily wrapped torn clothes to clench on his circulation and limit the blood flow to his wounds. This would limit his bleeding.

Shouyu grabbed the dead bleeding predators and waved them all around the water where his blood was, spilling their own blood all around the water adding a mixture of flavor, he's even push the dead fish in separate directions trailing a thick trail of blood that hopefully other predators would be confused of.

Shouyu swam back to the the seals in the cave wincing. He was depressed, and feeling ashamed.

"Not such a good idea, with this blood im a swimming prey endangering your own lives. If I could use chakra somehow, I could help us better. Down here, I'm just useless."

He held his wounds tighter adding pressure to stop the bleeding, even though at now it would have been lessened by a lot.

As he was bitten, the seals would watch in awe as he pulled his sword out and slowly shoved it into each of the angler-fish spilling their blood and having them release their grasp on his limbs. He would then cut some of his clothing to use as bandages for his open wounds before being completely unorthodox and waving the dead fish around to spill more of their blood and create different trials of the crimson liquid to try to throw off any predators down here. It was wise and smart, but still, he never should've gotten himself into that predicament in the first place.

Once the boy returned to the seals and got out what he needed to say, the female seal would begin to address him: "So what do you want to do, Hoshi? Shall we continue with your initial thought of heading down more or should we head back up to the surface? It's up---" Her brother would cut her off before she could finish and there was a slight hint of annoyance or was that arrogance in his voice: "He might as well give up. His curiosity almost got him killed and he created a 'bloodbath' down here from his own blood and the angler-fishes. He is clearly showing to me that he isn't worthy of seeing our master if he can't even think rationally. Who is foolish enough to allow his instincts to get the better of him especially in somewhere completely new and strange to him. Pathetic." After her brother got out what harsh words he needed to say, she would continue to address the boy: "Anyways, what do you want to do, Hoshi? This is your trial and you haven't failed yet, but you certainly haven't exactly impressed our master either. Think before you speak, Human. Where would our master be if she is part-human? Here is a tip, she is somewhere in this ocean but she may also not be in the ocean. When you are ready to continue, let us know what you want to do next."

It appeared that the female of the duo was still being caring and understanding towards the boy even after he foolishly allowed himself to get into a trap set forth for the trial. She knew that he could get through all of this if he continued to push forward and didn't allow his miscue to get the better of him even if his left arm and leg were covered in bite marks from those fish and would need to be treated before too long. His thoughtful use of his clothing to patch up the wounds was a wise decision on his part as it would certainly reduce the bleeding along with having the pressure of the water to assist him. On the other hand, her brother was losing his patience with this boy after the miscue that should've been seen as an obvious trap set up to attract him towards it. After all, he saw the light all the way from the surface of the ocean which seemed extremely unlikely even with his eyes so it had to be set forth as an obvious trap to lure him in. He would give the boy another chance or two, but Hoshi had best step it up or he wasn't going to be able to handle their master when he finally got to her.

He returned and the female seal quickly began asking questions about the next move. He looked her way, but she was quickly cut off by the male, sounding rather rude. Shouyu sucked his teeth and waved at hand at the seal frustrated. 'It was your lousy idea to come into this water anyway." He looked around, it wouldn't be too long that any predators would catch scent of the blood. Hopefully it fate willed it so, many of them would attract to this spot and find out the cause. If that was the case, the seals at least would be free to wander the deep sea and keep a lookout.

The male finished and Shouyu looked as if he had paid him no mind at all, and kept thinking to himself. How could he even the odds again, with chakra suppressing and high density water. He rubbed his chin, the female seal began to speak again, giving hints. Shouyu looked around and nodded. "First things first, let's get away from here, to the surface, I must exit the water. Take me to the surface, I'll search from above running along top of the water. You two can stay below me. If things go our way, there will be many of the predators flocking to this location, probably as we speak. I am nothing here in these waters if I cannot use my abilities."

Shouyu pointed up with his left hand to the surface. He was already feeling drained, plus the blurred vision was disturbing his eyes, very uncomfortable as well. He would remind the seals he'd need their help in swimming and getting away successfully, him not being able to use chakra made him really ineffective, and he hated that. He let out a sigh, and gently nudged the seals to lead the way. "Hurry please, let's make haste to the top!."

A decision had been made. Hoshi wanted to go back to the surface of the ocean to attempt to utilize his abilities that required chakra even though he was battered, bruised, and had been made a chew toy of from the angler-fish. It was a reasonable request for the seals to do, but they had gotten so far in the ocean thus far and it sounded counterproductive to go back to the surface and make their master wait longer. However, they were not supposed to give him any real tips of locating their master as that was part of his test and it would be more rewarding if he managed to do it himself instead of relying on some pair of underlings that were merely trying to do their job for their master.

The male seal of the group would look at the boy with an annoyed look on his face. His patience was running thin with the boy after seeing him being "mauled" by those predatory creatures and he truly did not believe that the boy was going to be able to continue and actually prove to himself and the seals' master that he was worthy of her time. He would make it completely clear of what he wanted to do from here as he moved forward from his position and informed the lad of the following: "I am not going up. I will only stay here or go down to help you travel through the ocean without getting yourself killed in the process since my master for some odd reason thinks you are worthy of her time and effort."

His sister would cut in after he finished with her own decision which would receive a look of annoyance from her brother: "I will either go up or stay here, Hoshi-human. If you think it is best that we go up, I will do so. But if you think it would be better to head down, you may follow my brother. You have already made your decision initially, but do you want to change your opinion or still go up?" Unlike her brother, she was more willing to work with the boy and do what he asked of her since she wanted to see him succeed and at least be given the opportunity to meet with their master.

Regardless of which seal he would follow, they both knew where their master was and there was not one way to get to her. There were multiple ways to actually find her, but all of them required locating a special location in the ocean that would be able to serve as some protection for her and would accommodate her nicely. He just would need to find one of these special places and know how to properly utilize it which shouldn't be too much of an issue since he was a shinobi after all. However, he needed to make a decision now that the seals had gone opposite sides on what to do since he probably would lose one of the seals based on the decision, maybe not though! Either way, it was decision time for the young Hoshi.

Of course, the male seal, Hoshi's antagonist would persist against his decision and choose to stay. The seal would again belittle the Shinobi, this only fed Shouyu's purpose to prove this seal wrong and maybe bonk him on the noggin once this is all settled. He brushed off it to the side and winced. The pressure of the water was heavy against his wounds, although it helped initially it was pretty painful still.

The female seal then agreed to go up with Hoshi, to this he nodded instead of giving a cold stare, unlike the male seal. His mind was made up, he would be more effective on land. And if the male seal chose to stay in here safety that would be fine. Hopefully these seals would have some special way to communicate within the water together, maybe through some type of sonar?

"Right, we will go up. This time I will thoroughly search above, if I find no clues we will return with haste! Until then, remain safe, and if our assistance is needed do call!"

Shouyu looked the male seal with assurance whether he'd take it or not. Looking back to the female, he'd lead the way, away from the light, and extend for the seal, seeing as he would need help to get to the surface in a decent time. His swimming ability would be hindered even more due to his wounds, and he didn't want to yet use his trump card so early.

"Let us hurry to the top! Up there my chakra will be accessible, and there I can do more for the both of you until we find what we need! I thank you, for being understanding with me and wanting to assist me."

Shouyu still had his ninjato drawn, if anything were to come he would just maneuver slightly and allow any oncoming object to impale themselves in his blade. His eyes were deactivated now, not wasting any chakra to combat this natural water suppression.

Things were slowly getting more and more intense with each passing second in the ocean. The male seal and Hoshi were slowly becoming annoyances to each other as one would contradict the other and they were getting nowhere fast with this bickering between them. It appeared the male seal wanted to see Hoshi go further into the unknown because he knew that his leader was waiting for the boy down there, but the female seal wanted to actually help the boy so he wouldn't get himself into a sticky situation like he did before where he was brutally attacked by the fish of terror. While these seals were "trying" to help, their leader was sitting in her disclosed location humming to herself waiting for this boy to find her; she wanted him to show his face so she could see the look that was expressed when he failed after all of this hardship and trials that he had gone through. But, he would get something in return regardless of the outcome if he showed himself to be a man and not a little boy.

Back at the issue at hand, it appeared the male seal was being an annoyance once again as he spoke to little Hoshi: "Boy, you are making a grave mistake. Our leader is growing tired of waiting on you, the right way is down. But if you want to be an imbecile, then go right ahead and slowly make our leader's patience disappear. She is giggling at your stupidity right now as we speak, I can hear her." It was funny that the seal was making false accusations of his leader as she was listening from her location and would cause the water around them to get more pressurized causing them more difficult to speak and breath. Before the female seal would take up Hoshi however, she would say one thing to him to keep his morale high: "Human, we will go up as you requested. Hopefully, it will help you with finding our leader as she is growing tired of waiting. I will tell you though that cave, she is not in there and she is somewhere in the ocean waiting. But I understand you wanting to use your chakra so away we will go."

The female seal would allow him to grip her as they began to head up. Her brother would trail behind them with disgust as he was being forced to follow along due to their master since nobody else could control the pressure in the water but her or so he thought. As they headed up, they would have no issues with animals attacking them nor difficulties maneuvering in the waters as these seals were special seals, the best seals.

Once at the surface, the female seal would maneuver over to the land to let the boy off as her brother followed behind. They would stay in the water as the female would speak to Hoshi: "What will we do now, Human?"

They had reached the top, after much back and forth bickering. Shouyu was still focused on the task at hand even though there were many mental blocks. Apparently the male seal said the correct way is down. But, if that was the case, Shouyu would truly have to prepare to plunge into the sea once more. Once they had reached the top, he'd crawl his onto the land and roll over to his back. He was breathing a bit heavily from the wounds, he didn't know any medical jutsu that could help either. The female seal then joined Shouyu onto the land.

"Well, whoever she is, she better enjoy that laugh. Cause this is about to get real on my end."

There was only one way to stop this bleeding, and seal his wounds shut before sustaining more. He hadn't yet fully mastered unlocking the chakra gates. He could do three at most, but he wondered if that would even be enough. He pondered quickly, eyebrows tightening together in thought. Both seals continued to disregard the cave and though the female seal seemed on his side, she never relayed to much information, the male seal appeared to be the know it all. He would exchanged gazes at both of them, meanwhile tightening the moist bandages on his wounds.

"I just have to reach her, huh? Okay, I think I'm ready this time. Sorry guys, I guess you could say... I was just testing the waters."

Shouyu stood up now, taking a lazy standing horse stance, his elbows tucked into his ribs. If the seals would notice, his chakra levels would have peaked exponentially at that moment in result, a gusting wind kicking up around him even stirring the waters. Hoshi inhaled deeply with a single mantra chant, 'Hooooooooooooohhhhhhhmmmm' Hoshi would his raise his arms, in doing do another peak in his chakra levels until he brought his arms back down, fists clenched tightly. For a split second Hoshi would glow an luminous sky blue before bursting with energy and a light blue chakra aura like blue flames around his body teamed with an occasionally dash of lightning and streams of water. Hoshi released his third limiter, The Gate of Life as some would call it. He smirked. 'Yeaaahh, Super Hoshi.'

"Alright guys! After you! I'm sure this time I can keep it! We'll take the most direct route to get to your leader!"

Hoshi's new state elevated his blood circulation heating up his entire body, and influencing his cells. His wounds were burned and sealed from his heightened temperature, the water that would flow around him would be result of his sweat infusing with the moisture in the air around him. Shouyu's grin faded into a determined look, before he would dive into the water and begin swimming but would like running down into the ocean, from whence they came.

Not surprisingly, it would not take the boy much time to catch his breath and be ready for more. If the seals had learned anything since they had begun this trial for their master, it was that this boy was determined to prove himself, but he lacked common sense slightly especially when he was under the water in an unknown land. However, this boy would appear to get a second wind of sorts as the area around him released a large amount of force causing the water to ripple tremendously as the seals stared at the boy before he dove into the water. So, he did have some hidden abilities that he had up his sleeve this entire time. Quite impressive to say the least.

As the boy "sunk" into the ocean, the seals could see the water reacting around the boy violently as it appeared that the suppression ability of the ocean was having difficulties affecting him with this new found power that he had obtained. The seals were not quite sure of what this power was, but they just looked at each other and dived back into the water with this "super" Hoshi human. They would go on either side of him as the female one began to address him once more: "Human, where are we going in the ocean this time? We can follow my brother's comments or look elsewhere?" Her brother had a comment: "Why would he have anywhere else to look? I already told him where she was! If he would listen and not have acted like a complete idiot with the anglerfish, we could be near master already!"

They would continue to swim lower in the ocean to where they initially were before, but the seals were having difficulty with keeping up with the boy. Due to this slowed pace of the seals, Hoshi could swim at their pace or go headfirst without them into the unknown and hopeful not die in the process. Knowing the character and the player who is playing him, the writer of this post could take his assumptions, but Hoshi had some choices to make right now.

He could go without the seals, work with the seals and follow the male seal's rude comments, or do something else that was probably more unorthodox than what the writer of this post is thinking of since he is not Hoshi human.
