Ah the heat of the sun made him feel a little dizzy as he tried to keep his body from evaporating into the air. Liquid state or not, being more % water than any other person was making it more difficult to maintain his stamina. The summer seemed so unbearable that he considered returning to the cave that was Sunagakure. But he had to push forward even without the opportunity to soak in an Oasis for a little while to regain some stamina. If he didn't make it out of here then he wouldn't be able to oversee what the village had turned into since he had disappeared a long while ago. Maybe people would not notice that he had gone, or maybe he was about to walk into a trap with lots of people.
The traveling felt a little awkward after a little while. His footsteps were sluggish among the wispy sands, and his eyes felt strained watching the sand in front of him calm and unmoving. Even though he had been moving for all this time it didn't actually seem like the desert was actually going to end anytime soon. But with every step forward in one direction he would eventually find either new land or the sea. Either was going to be better at this rate as the desert was just sapping up his energy and stopping would make it impossible to start up again. He would just die in the desert and no one would find him until the sands had ripped his skin from his body.
