Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Dashing forward, his opponents every move was as if it was slow motion due to the perception seemingly outside time and reality itself. It was all due to the Seikon blood coursing through Junko’s veins. In addition, the Sharingan revealed so much more. Junko could see Kiri’s chakra mix and mold as he made subtle movements in his stance. Able to analyze things so clearly in such a slow perception allowed Junko to read his opponents movements as if.....he knew the attacks before they made them.

Right before Kiri would make his slashing shadow technique, Junko would move at a hyper speed around the two, leaving only after images behind as if his presence was everywhere at once. As the slashing technique would hit right on mark in seemingly success, the body would simply disperse as it wasn’t the real Junko.

Even as he sent that slashing attack to Junko, Kiri was almost certain something was not normal. And his gut feeling was true as he realised that he and Hoshi were quickly surrounded by Junko and with ease. It was almost as if the latter was showing a different side of him. In fact, it was. Kiri knew Junko could be fast, but not that this fast. It almost felt like an illusion and yet, being the sensitive guy that he was, he could feel the rapid movements, displacements and reappearances of the chakra that it was a bit overwhelming. Mouth agape for a bit, he quickly drew a grin on his face as he sharpened his eyes.

As he watched the shockwave streamline and hit nothing but a fake Junko, or perhaps an afterimage of his, Kiri quickly went to a different strategy. There was no mistaking it. He and Hoshi were fighting a different man altogether and it was unnerving. Though part of the reason was because Kiri was well aware he was fighting on his own, no cheering or strategising happening with his brother in his soulscape. And that made him every bit doubtful of his own capabilities. But he would not let it show.

Instead, he clicked his tongue as he summoned a sudden creation made of shadows and flame like aura converging its body. His Shadow Harbinger, standing at 7 feet tall, with an equally large blade that was a silhouette as he was, would quickly begin to try and attack any source of Junko’s chakra signature, hoping to hit one. One more helping hand wasn’t against the rules. In fact, there was no rules to begin with. And as such, Kiri who was now draped in the shadow garb, darkened like a silhouette like his summoned creature, would attempt to target another Junko, this time, with a combination of strikes and swings, able to quickly twist and turn, pivot and leap, in case he hits another afterimage and would not be stopped to attempt to hit the next one.

Their assault was successful. Hoshi had the upper hand on Junko with ulterior motives hidden within his own mind. As expected, Junko presumes Hoshi would utilize the same tactic as before. Once Hoshi had him bound, Kiri went in for the sure strike leaving Junko stifled. Sensei seemed winded, Hoshi collected himself and his thoughts as he readied his stance flailing the nunchaku across his body trying to attempt the injured teacher. Hoshi noticed the man was beat, maybe he was training too hard lately, Hoshi could know no such things due to his Hachimon nature. Hoshi bounced back and forth on his toes until Junko burst out into chakra.

His brow rose at the sight as he stood still but in stance. Kiri then moved in front of him as if to protect Hoshi who grew wide eyed at the sight and growled. He became instantly infuriated that Hoshi would do such a thing. ‘Does he think, I’m weak or something?!’ Hoshi shoved Kiri, grabbing him by the collar and pushing him away. He made sure to growl loudly and make his anger prevalent.

“Hey! Don’t you know you’re a medic!!! Not a neat shield. STOP TREATING ME LIKE THAT! I can fend for myself!”

Hoshi must’ve distracted Kiri he totally missed Junko. Hoshi then looked around, he could see after images fading and appearing. There was no way, Junko had increased in movement beyond the sight of his eyes. With his heightened reaction time it would be no match. Hoshi made distance between him, Kiri and his newly summoned companion of shade and fire.

“How did he...”

Hoshi cringed as Kiri and the swordsman began hacking and slashing at the afterimage of Junko. But Hoshi would wait.

“It’s not, where he’s at... But where he is going!”

Hoshi tried to catch the pattern, whether he was right or not would decide itself later. But Hoshi would begin a series of basic combos aimed at nothing in particular or so it seemed. He would target the area he expected the afterimage to reappear.

things grew interesting as Kiri had now gone from taijutsu to ninjutsu based techniques. It was apparent that a piece of the boy lacked confidence in his swordsman skills to handle Junko’s little “power boost”. After creating a black fire like creation of shadows and covering himself in shadows, Kiri began more offensive techniques.

Without any sign, his shadow creation would be destroyed in an instant as Kiri destroyed false images of the sennin. As he was wide open for picking, Junko made his move. Bursting with speed directly for the lad, Junko would appear right before him, allowing him to look into the eyes of the sennin as he threw a punch. Stopping the punch before it reached Kiri’s face a force of wind would simply blow past the boy before Junko’s image dispersed as if that strike wasn’t from the real him. Although.... it was.

Meanwhile, Hoshi had a different approach. Noticing Junko’s speed and Kiri’s failed attacks at mere images of Junko, Hoshi quickly adapted and aimed at where Junko was going. After a moment of calculating whatever rhythm he could, distance, and movement. The hyuuga made his clever attempt. Appearing in front of Hoshi as he struck, Junko was in a crouched position as if he was about to draw his now sheathed blade. Dodging the strike completely, Junko then move forward an partially drew his blade to hit Hoshi with the handle, sending him in the direction of Kiri.

This training session was taking a toll on Hoshi, his fatigue was kicking in, panting for breath. He couldn’t just stand still while trying to find Junko, flailing at after images but smelling his opponent growing closer. Although he wasn’t looking directly at Kiri, his three hundred and sixth degree view gave him vision of everything. The fleeting images surrounding him, the real Junko somewhere in the mix, and the dispersing of Kiri’s shadow warrior. Hoshi clicked his teeth at the smell of smoke from the poof. He gritted his teeth and continued searching.

He saw that Junko approached Kiri, or maybe a clone and almost strike him. The wind recoil from the strike blew Hoshi out of Stance. He had to acrobatically catch himself with an elbow and back hand spring back onto his feet. Again he gritted his teeth, clenching his jaw and dashed back into the fray. Junko was toying with them now and he could only be doing so with this new found power. Hoshi couldn’t even keep up with the blur until it stilled and became visible. Yes, Hoshi had him, the real Junko, but even in that slight moment he failed. Junko was swift enough to see before Hoshi could and react with a counterattack.

The pummel of Junko’s blade slammed into Hoshi’s stomach, saliva spewing from his mouth. Instantly everything went black. He was seeing stars on the brink of passing out, but Hoshi gasped catching his breath. The boy collapsed to his knees and gagged, he was stifled and dropped his dual weapons. In his mind, it raced, thinking back to all the movements which just happened. He was trying to piece everything together but nothing was making sense. Where did this burst of strength come from? Hoshi looked up to Junko and Kiri trying to catch his breath.

After hitting Hoshi with the butt of his blade, the images began to slowly fade from around them. Standing with his blade sheathed, the bloody Junko simply stood looking at the two boys with his new rinnegan while panting heavily. Soon though, his eyes soon shifted to its original black and white color.

”You all.... did well.” Junko said as his eyes slightly lowered. ”Hoshi..... Kiri... you...” Junko said before dropping to both his knees and letting the rest of his body fall to the floor as well.

Despite Hoshi’s earlier protest that Kiri was treating him like a child, he didn’t budge, right until Junko came. He tried to hold up his end of the fight but the Sennin was far too strong than he previously was. His Shadow Harbinger, though try as he might to bring down their opponent, was hitting a miss with every afterimage it went for, only to be struck down by Junko. With the silhouette dispersing, Kiri knew it was no time to be dillydallying.

At that point, he didn’t think he’d come so close to the Sennin. With his uchigatana at a ready, Kiri pulled back and was ready to strike, only to miss. Then, Junko would reappear before him and their eyes locked upon the other before Junko grinned and sent a powerful punch right at his face. Rather, it was just before his face and the excess strength sent a mighty gust of wind that blew Kiri away. Crashing backwards, Kiri would only find his strength once more trying to get back up.

Wiping some blood off his chin, he may have cut himself in the process. Nevertheless, he gripped his sword with intensity as he looked on at the remainder of the fight. There was still more that he could have done.

It was only a strange turn of events when the fight ended and Junko seemed to have exhausted himself. With the Sennin down, Kiri would sheath his sword and run to his side, coming to a kneel and begin to use his remaining chakra to flood Junko’s body with healing aura. He was silent throughout as he was still contemplating his own weakness.
