Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

In a small room a man slowly added another flower to the vase arrangement in front of him and studied it for a few seconds before he nodded at his work before moving away and turning to the back of the lady next to him who sat in the corner. Still kneeling he waited in silence. The lady looked up and towards the vase from the book she was reading and nodded approvingly before her head cocked up the ceiling as if hearing something. ”It would seem we might have a student or two soon.” she motioned closing her book and looking around the rather small room and it’s tatami mats. ”Go get the tea set ready.” she ordered as she flicked out a fan and smiled devilishly behind it.

The man bowed and moved away still on his knees before standing a short distance away and opened a door to see a long hallway and closed it. Moving to the next wall he opened the door to see a similar version except this one the room seemed to spiral the floor and ceiling and walls slightly shifting down it making his eyes hurt. Closing this one as well he opened the third door on a separate wall to see a larger room with six cushions in front of the small raised room and the doorway out into the school. With a slow sigh of relief he exited the smaller room where he put his school shoes back on and made his way to get water and to prep the tea set for service.

With her assistant gone she quietly chuckled behind her fan. Laughing aloud would not be very lady like. The lady sat in fine white silk robes with the pattern of stone mountains along the bottom and clouds that seemed to almost slowly move along the top of her back and shoulders. Picking up an ornamental headdress of sorts from a small pillow she adjusted a white veil that obscured the features of her face slightly only giving away lips painted blood red and a porcelain white face. Leisurely she rocked her fan back and forth and waited like a predator waiting for prey.

Re: Genjutsu 101 Class 1 [Lesson]

Genjutsu. At first he was taking the class just to meet the requirements for graduation, but after his run in with Oyochi and his manipulation of Chie it seemed like it would be more important than he thought. He could block hits, roll with the punches, juke and jive, but there was little his training would do to help against a mental attack. It wouldn't matter how quick or skilled he was, he would be completely useless if he fell for a trick like that. Moving down the halls he would finally find where the class room was, double checking the room number before opening the door. He froze in place as he looked at the room and the lady within, not expecting to look anything like this. This certainly didn't look like a classroom and the woman present looked more like nobility than a teacher. "Er...is this Genjutsu 101?" He would ask after a few moments, stepping back to check the room number once more.

Re: Genjutsu 101 Class 1 [Lesson]

”It is…You have the charm do you not?" came the whisper in his ear of a lady’s voice. He couldn’t tell the age though it didn’t sound very young or old but the fact his neck felt hot as if someone was right next to him whispering in his ear directly was a bit concern. She did seem to have an air of someone of high stature by her speech pattern and appearance. At the fan slowly closed she used it to point at the cushions.

Kyo might rub his eyes since she seemed closer to the lineup of six pillows sitting at the table now which definitely wasn’t there before but farther back in the smaller room. Was it just the way the room was setup? A trick of the eye? As she flicked her fan out again she spoke once more.

”Since we have tea now would you like to tell me what you know of Genjutsu or would you prefer me to tell you?” the voice came to his other ear.

Kyo would notice a man next to him having walked up while he was checking between the room number and the room.

”The room isn’t marked. If you’re here for Ojou-sama’s class on Genjutsu you are in the right place.” the man stated simply. If Kyo turned he’d notice the man had a small tea pot on tray with the items needed for ceremonial tea. Kyo would wonder why the Genjutsu class was being taught under these conditions most likely. It definitely didn’t feel like a normal class.

”Come and sit. Let Okinu-sensei…enlighten you.” the lady explained with the odd sensation of talking right next to him again.

Re: Genjutsu 101 Class 1 [Lesson]

He had an unnatural feeling the moment his palms removed the cloth charm from the Message board within the academy. While he had been unaccustomed to the principles and disciplines of taijutsu and ninjutsu, Oyochi was particularly keen which it came to recognizing possible effects of genjutsu. His eyes had glanced and questioned the sudden change in lightning mainly due to how the lighting had fluctuated. It was not simply by chance it was doing so and his premature observation was proven correctly as his vision would see and follow momentarily spheres of what looked to be chakra residue or collections. Before following what the signals were pointing him to follow, Oyochi would look over the charm in his hand and stare at it..."Could this charm have activated a genjutsu? Is such a practice even in existence to use seals like that?" He would keep this question at the tip of his brain and the charm within his palm as he followed the indicated path, not blindly but curiously.

Nearing the room which the path led him to, he heard voices coming from inside and before actually walking within the class he did stop before reaching the door's opening and simply eavesdrop for better words. He did not have to hear the voices to innately know how many people were within the room, it was a fledgeling ability of his that he had been quite frankly a beginner at which was the ability to sense chakra producing bodies. While he was new to the skill, he understood how his growing sense worked and also was in understanding that he could barely make out two new chakra signatures yet fully recognized one of them as that Hyuuga boy, Kyo from a previous encounter. The fact was he knew this was the right class and the right subject and that the coupled voices of a man and woman seemed possibly cryptic. It made Oyochi's head tilt slightly in confusion as he heard both a general question and a statement.

Blinking slightly, Oyochi would walk into the class without saying a word yet not actively walking into the class to engage in personal conversation. Instead Oyochi entered the room and purposely stood back away from where Kyo stood which kept his own body moreso nearly the doorway. The room itself felt misplaced and something about the fact that unlike other classrooms in the building that this one in particular was unmarked by any indications of number or letters made it questionable to him. While he was positive that he was in the grips of a genjutsu, he understood that it was for educational purposes and had no intentions of attempting to break it, though his mind wondered still just how had it been placed upon him and which senses did it alter.

Was what he seeing the truth about the room while his other senses told him otherwise or was his vision manipulated to see what this woman or the headmaster wanted him to see. He did not understand truely which of his sense were manipulated or if all of them were at the same instant. This also made him respect the skill level of the caster regardless of how it may have been cast because coming from a clan of genjutsu specialist, even something along this line was something he had not been subjected to.

Re: Genjutsu 101 Class 1 [Lesson]

(OoC: If Oyochi is using sensor he’d noticed the man next to Kyo isn’t emitting chakra at all, not suppressing either i.e. normal person. I figure you’re on the other side of the man – Formation Oyochi closer to the door, to his right the man, to his right Kyo closer to the woman and table)

With the ninjutsu class abandoned temporarily for now Oyochi found himself being lead by fluctuating light fixtures to an unmarked class. That probably didn’t seem all that creepy or odd… compared to the other classes he saw where students were being taught at desks by a teacher in a normal class like environment it would probably make him wonder what to expect. As he reached the room having two people close to the doorway and the tatami mats throw off the flow of a school classroom vibe.

Simply diving into the classroom feet first it seemed Oyochi opted to announce his presence by simply walking in and standing there apart from the other student.

The lady’s focus on Kyo would drift away to Oyochi as he came into view.

This one would be easy to tease… although this one… her thoughts lingered from Kyo to Oyochi.

The fan fluttering in front of her slowly hide the slight pout wondering if the boy would figure things out. She liked her lips and smiled though since a thought came to mind. Would he tell the other boy and how would they interact?

”It looks like we have another one to teach… Are you also scared to come sit close to Okinu-Sensei boy?” a lady would ask Oyochi, ”I usually don’t bite” came a faint whisper in his ear. Although the feeling of a warm breath to match did seem odd.

The lady motioned for the man to come in as he place the tray and items about the table he moved to cushions in front of her off to the side before moving to knee off to the side behind the instructor and waited silently his hands moving into the cuffs of his shirt as he hands were placed in his lap.

Oyochi would probably wonder since the woman’s voice and breath against his neck didn’t seem like a genjutsu. The room although out of place seemed real enough but the ideas or thoughts behind that were just theory.

Both boys would notice as Okinu-sensei absent mindedly flicked a hand and heard the door slam whooshing shut behind them, the wooden frame making an audible click letting them know they were locked in.

Large green eyes surveyed the two boys blinking slowly behind the veil and fan. A slightly toothy smirk appeared behind the barriers thinking of what would happen next.

”Maybe the new one will let us know what he thinks Genjutsu is or shall I explain it…” she mused between the two. Or was she talking to herself and her assistant?

(OoC: If your mission is over - "It is now safe to move about the cabin")
