Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Many would consider her morals bestial, but it was the ways her parents taught her. Members of the Inugami family did not eat food they did not kill and prepare themselves. Though Akazukin lived in the forested region of the world, she did quickly become accustom to desert hunting. Today she was hunting with Jiro who she met at the casino. She was not sure if he ever hunted before and saw this as an opportunity to yield her knowledge. “The first lesson in hunting in such an environment is time of day.” To hunt in the day is folly; the prey is scarce, far too hot and complete lack of cover. “Many of the desert fauna come out during the coolness of the night. Even with such barren terrain one can hide under the cover of darkness.”

The two of them would stand on a sand dune looking across the expanding desert before them. Akazukin wore black clothing to blend into the darkness of the night. It was the night of a new moon and thus only the stars would be there light. “Often hunters are foolish and quickly run after the first thing they see.” Akazukin creates an earth golem to resemble a desert hare. “It is far wiser to lure one's prey into a trap.” Akazukin places a couple of paper talismans on the creation jutsu and then lets it run free. Each talisman had a different jutsu sealed within it that would go off when the golem is attacked.

As soon as Jiro was asked if he wanted to go hunting, his curiosity was piqued. He did want to go hunting. The thought intrigued him greatly as he had never done such a thing, not to mention the prospect of killing something was enough to take the edge off for a bit. So many thoughts ran through his head -- promises, commands, Him. He shook his head, forcing that thought away. The Shinobi needed to keep his guard up, especially now that he was in the desert expanse, away from the village.

The village was a mere pinprick in his sight now. The blonde could see it only if he squinted. But soon Akazukin was talking again, he looked back over at her and listened to her. Biting his lip slightly, the Chigokai nodded. It made sense to him. Most people would not have gathered that he was as intelligent as he was -- except perhaps Him. Don't go there... Instead, he tried to focus his energy into the task at hand.

Jiro was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of black jeans. A light breeze flickered sand past the two of them as they stood on the dune. He took in every sensation. So far, the only blood he could sense was his own and the woman who was standing next to him. Looking down, he watched the creation come to life and hop off. A smirk flicked over his face as he watched it.

"There's nothing here yet, Akazukin-Chan," he informed her after a moment of them standing in silence, listening to the flow of their blood and the sound of silence around them.

Akazukin feels just a little awkward about this considering the two of them were set up to be wed. It was an arranged marriage that she requested. The Inugami clan from which she is bore into has many traditions and joining another clan can only be done through marriage. It was a way for her to join the Miroku clan be uniting it with her own, rather than simply erasing her status in her original clan. She had no idea how Jiro felt about this and that's what made her uncomfortable right now.

Considering members of the Inugami clan can only eat what they themselves killed, this little hunting expedition was normal first date material. Akazukin looks Jiro in the eyes as she gathered her courage to take a bold step. The second hand within her Tokeigan races around in its eternal loop and then suddenly the minute hand jumps forward and goes back. Instantly Akazukin was blushing and looks away extremely bashful for some reason. Jiro could likely feel her heart beating quite quickly, “I’m sorry, That was too forward of me.” Akazukin was apologising for an action that has yet to happen from Jiro’s perspective.

Time is not always so linear for Akazukin for she could sometimes jump a small distance into the future and back with little to no evidence that she ever left. Akazukin looks back just in time to see her past self entering the present, kissing Jiro on the cheek and disappearing back into the past. Akazukin’s heart beats furiously and her entire face becomes as red as a tomato. It was embarrassing doing it, but to see herself infront of her doing it was too much for her to handle.

Jiro could feel the spike in the woman's blood flow. Her heart was beating rapidly, nervous. It put him on edge, especially considering the last time they had met in the Kitsune's class, if one could call it that. He had not known why he had gone with her, except that when he had told his mentor, the older Shinobi had told him to go with her, to see what she had wanted. But mostly, he was curious. Not because of his commands but because of the idea of hunting.

When the woman met his eyes, he held her gaze. That eye intrigued him, but there was something about it that made him keep his guard up. He had gotten good at pretending to be calm though. To anyone else, including her, he would appear to be calm and naive. But he had been taught well. Every movement, every heart beat, drew his attention, even as he seemed to be focused solely on Akazukin.

That eye began to move and he knew she was glimpsing into the future, but the flush of her face and the words took him off guard. The Chigokai cocked his head to the side. "What was too forward?" he asked her, blue eyes still locked on hers. But there was a flutter of panic going through him. He should have accepted the fox's offer to go with him, or at least carry a headset with him to call him in case he needed protection.

It seemed like mere seconds after he had spoken, another version of the woman had appeared next to him, leaned in and kissed him on the cheek before vanishing. Blue eyes widened as he tensed slightly. He took a step back, still not taking his eyes off of her. "I can't..." His voice was soft, almost a whisper. Panic flooded him then. If He found out about this...

Yes it seems she was correct in it being too forward of her to do such a thing. In her embarrassment she fell the strong instinct to flee and she runs. Sliding down the sand dune like a slide she gives him a poem he may have heard of before or at least the second half to this poem. She was not sure if she was running from the situation or trying to spur him on. For right now she was going on instinct.

Come my dear hunter
Come and chase me once again
My heart beats fast when you're near

As she gains some distance trees of topaz sprout form the ground growing big and tall with leafs of emerald. All around him these tree emerge from the desert sands thus surrounding the both of them into a crystal forest. The forest was thick thus making following her not as an easy feet. Clouds begin to blanket the dark skies and crystals start to rain down. Despite the name of the jutsu, it was not rubies falling down from above, but diamonds. Each diamond was small and shaped to that of a snowflake with no two diamonds identical.

Though Jiro could not see it, Akazukin was grinning from ear to ear. This was no normal forest, but a recreation of the wilderness she lived in as a child. She missed the mountainous terrain with the trees of pine and floors covered in snow. Jiro was in for an adventure to see an environment that he has likely never seen before in his life.

As soon as the Chigokai spoke, it seemed that he had said the wrong thing. The woman had fled, but that only seemed to kick in his natural instincts as a hunter. At her poem, he took off after her. It seemed that he was functioning solely on instinct and following the sound of her blood. The primal hunter in him felt his own pulse quicken in excitement at the new game she had started. His body shivered slightly in anticipation as his blood pumped quicker, soon something odd happened.

The blonde froze as trees of some type of crystal seemed to grow from the ground. They were blue with leaves of bright green jewels. Blue eyes widened as he looked up and noticed that there were diamonds falling from the sky. He looked at them as they fell before remembering his end goal. Listening for Akazukin's pulse again, he followed her blood flow.

Jiro began to run again, running through the crystal forest. He looked around when he stepped inside of the forest. Blue eyes widened like a kid in a candy store, giggling slightly. "Aka-Chan!" he called out, cutting his hand open with the kunai he kept hidden on him. Before the blood could hit the ground, it formed into his usual tiger claw weapons. He lightly ran the claws over the crystal trees. The hardened blood made a grinding sound against the trees, forming sparks, but not doing anything to damage the trees. They seemed to be sturdy enough.

"Akaaaaa-Chaaaaan...." he called out, looking around the forest.

Before her water form gathers on the ground and growing ever large. Soon Akazukin was standing in front of a lake. Normally this lake would be a hot-spring back where she use to live. However considering how warm it is out here, even with the sun down, she sees no need to heat the water. Stripping down to her underwear she jumps into the cold water. Her body was youthful like that of a teenager, but in truth she is quite older. Black frills adorn her modesty and keep them carefully hidden from exposure. Her twin tails hang lower than normal thus causing some hair to block her Tokeigan from view. Scooping a handful of water into her hands she tosses it into the air and watches it sparkle it the air with the crystal snow. She was laughing happily in her own little world until she hears an all too familiar sound. "Does he really expect me to make it that easy? Use your powers to track me you idiot." If he would find his way to this clearing he would likely see signs of her being near before seeing her. Her dress and other garments hung on the trees.

When she did not answer, he giggled again and soon began to follow the sound of her bloodflow. Once he got to the clearing, he noticed the clothing on the trees, using them as some type of makeshift clothes hangers. He raised an eyebrow as he began to move closer to the hot spring she had made. Once he got to the spring, he paused, unsure of what to do. A quick tilt of his head and he moved closer to the spring, sitting cross-legged next to it.

"Found you," he said with another manic giggle. He looked around them again before looking back at her. "Where the hell are we?" he asked then, voice curious and filled with awe. The Chigokai was fascinated by where they were and by the beauty of the woman in front of him, despite being scared of where this would lead. But he pushed those fears from his head. "You're...I mean...this's beautiful."

He reached out to touch the water, unsure of if he should touch it or not. He hesitated slightly. "It's safe, right?" he asked her, meeting her eyes with blue eyes.

“Found me yes, but have you caught me?” She gives him an alluring giggle. She was quite happy that he had decided to play along. It would be quite disappointing if he did not participate in this game of hunter and prey and instead went home. She stood quite far from the edge of the spring. If he wanted to get her he would have to enter it. “This is my childhood, my love.” She does a little spin on one foot and mystically clothes seems to form on her body. It was a dress as black as night and a sound seem to emanate from it. It was like she had a thousand chirping birds under there. Tiny bolts of electricity flee from the skirt of her dress to the waters below. It was as it the dress contained a furious storm within its threads.

With a wave of her hand the clouds above dissipate and the rain of gems concludes. “Catch me and I’ll offer you a prize.” Clothed once more she makes a dash out of the spring away from him and back into the forest. This would leave him with a decision to make. Go around the lake unsure of its safety or quickly trudge through it and catch up to her quicker.

Jiro felt her words course through him and he laughed again. This could be interesting, he decided. And soon, all doubts and fears seemed to remove themselves from him. She was on the far edge of the spring, seemingly teasing him, but he liked the challenge. It was interesting to say the least, unable to do much but once her climb out of the spring and seemingly clothe herself by magic. Now, she was wearing a black dress. He had never noticed how beautiful she was until he had seen her in this mystical forest.

The black dress seemed to have tiny bolts of electricity flickering from it in small bolts. Jiro's eyes widened as he watched, entranced, at the movements and how beautiful it was. And how beautiful Akazukin was. Her childhood? That brought him back to reality. It seemed that there was much more to her than met the eye and her mysteriousness drew the Chigokai in even more.

"Prize?" he asked. "What kind of prize?" But instead of answering, the woman had fled from him once more. He chuckled and let the tiger claws form back to liquid blood before the blood moved back into the cut he had made, the flesh mending itself soon after. Once the blood claws were done, he slipped out of his shirt and dived into the lake.

The water was warm, almost pleasantly so. He swam to the other end and climbed out. He was soaked, but he did not care. He ran after her again after he shook himself almost like a wet dog. And then he was on the hunt again, tracking her through the sound of her own pulse. He moved through the trees quickly, moving closer to the sound of her heart beating almost in sync with his.

This forest was a mirror of that of her childhood, which she explored a great deal in her youth. The hot spring was only one attraction that she enjoyed visiting but of course there were others. The next place she will lure him to was a sacred one. If he continues to track the beating of her heart he could tell that she was performing some strenuous activity and more importantly gaining some altitude. It was obvious she was climbing a tree, but even if he was already in the trees following her; he would still find her to be much further off the ground than him. Like a monkey she swing from branch to branch ascending what her clan called ‘The Elder Tree.’ According to her clan it was the original tree of the forest. All other trees were supposedly its descendants.

Once Jiro Arrives at The Elder Tree, he would find quite an impressive example of pine. Its trunk was the size of a small house and it mountains over all the other trees into the crystal forest. Around the trunk was rope with shide paper hanging off of it like something you would see at a shrine. If Jiro remembers the very start of this hunting expedition, Akazukin mention about using traps while placing paper talismans on some bait. Perhaps it would be wise not to rush up the tree right now. He should be able to tell if she leaves the tree, so why hurry into a trap.
