Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Wincing, Okibi jumped to her feet and made for the door. She stopped at its threshold with one hand on the handle. Without looking back, she growled out, "I cant take any more of this. You stay here and... help him home when theyre done." Seven watched with an even expression as his human threw open the door and slammed it behind her. At least she didnt stomp out this time. He couldnt say he blamed the girl; it was a little hard for even him to watch them slice open Sousuke's arm like that, and he had seen some pretty horrible things in his time. How hard must it have been for her to watch the consequences of her actions happen before her?

There was nothing more he could do for his human right now. All he could do was sit and wait, like she wanted him to do, until Sousuke was ready to be escorted home.

The Steward simply bit down on the mouth guard. It was perhaps the most delightful thing he had in the world right now, because only it knew how hard Sousuke was biting down on it. Soon enough he was being sliced open and operated on. The Steward put this fact out of his mind, or else he would have perhaps reacted in some way or another. He heard a growl and the door slam as Okibi made her exit. The Steward figured that this sight was perhaps too much for her. In a way he was proud of her for containing herself.

The Steward's golden irises and eyes turned dark. His vital signs were still present, he was just detaching his consciousness from his surroundings. In times of great mental concentration he would do this. Like a berserker being unable to detail friend and foe, the Steward was doing the same except he was cutting off the conscious world around him while they operated on him. A sort of self induced coma this was.

***

The Steward sat upon his steel throne. This was his seat of power, if he were in the Kazekage. He wasn't at the Kazekage tower though. He was in his own mind. The great throne of the sword was made from weapons of the martial sorts. Swords, axes, maces, fragments of these weapons made up this throne. The Steward sat thinking. I can comprehend and complete quanta-thermal equations and psionical movements with ease. Yet such a simple thing as smiling or frowning does not come to me. Why? It was a question that the Steward had been asking himself for a long time. The simple answer was because House Toraono had some effect on his birth. He was enhanced or so Lady Azame told him, at the cost of his expression of emotions. No. That does not fit. The Steward told himself. To you it doesn't.</I><i></i> Another voice remarked. This voice was deep and echoing. Was the Steward mentally unwell? No. He was in his right mind as usual.

A figure in a black shroud emerged at the side of the sitting Steward. This was the Shade of Mikaboshi. A fragment of the Ancient that was left with Sousuke when the real Mikaboshi could not be present. The two were different in appearance, and responses. The Shade of Mikaboshi stood there for a moment. It's all about interpretation Steward. House Toraono may think they're the cause for your lack of expression but what came first? Their genetic manipulation or the realization of your inability of expression? A babe cries when hungry, and from I've seen you did that too when you were of that age. Have you cried since then?<i></i> The Shade turned its hooded head to the Steward. I think not.<i></i> The hooded figure nodded his head. When you are pleased when Okibi succeeds, or when you have a successful design what do you do?<i></i> The Steward thought hard. Crack at the seams. Yet ... I do not completely break down in an expression of emotion.<i></i> The Steward answered. Why?<i></i> That was an even more difficult question to answer. A full expression is a loss of composure. That is not befitting of a leader. The Shade shook his head. You weren't the Steward at birth.<i></i> This was true. I just can't. Why? <I>You can't turn lead to gold.<i></i> The Shade shook his head again. An alchemist can. He merely uses a tool to do so.<i></i> The Steward rose from his chair and began walking about in his mental space. The Shade followed with him. I'm not going to construct some fabled device to make myself more expressive.<i></i> The shade waved his hand. Then do the math. You know that it takes more muscles to frown then smile.<i></i> This was true. I will try. Can you?<i></i> The Shade shook his head. I am a shade, a fragment. It's complicated...<i></i>

Ko did fine, and Itami smiled to him as they finished, removing her bloodied gloves and putting them in the biohazard bin before putting on a new pair in which she'd take the bones and set them on the sterilized plate, and begin piecing them together like a puzzle piece. After doing so, her eyes deeply entranced by the work, and not noticing the Steward slip into a coma, she'd fuse them together, and move back to the arm, placing the two separate long-bones--the radius and the ulna--back into the arm and fusing them with the rest of the bone. Simple as that!

She' return the folds of skin, fusing those back together as well, and giving the Steward a shock to restart the blood flow in his arm. "Now we do the same with the ribs." She'd say, tipping the chair back so the man was laying on his back. Slicing him open with the jutsu and cauterizing at the same time, they'd repeat: Pluck, fuse, return, fuse, fuse.

When the mess was over, she'd tip the chair back up, removing her gloves, the fourth pair in that time, placing them in the biohazard bin, scrubbing her hands clean and removing her medical mask, placing it in the bin as well. "The tranquilizer should run off soon, get him into his own recovery room, check his vitals often, get him pain killers, and hook him up to a fluid IV." Itami commanded, smiling, "He's all yours. I have another patient here in about five minutes. Good luck."

The Steward came to from his mental discussion with the Shade sometime after treatment was completed in full. The Steward felt off, but that was perhaps due to the stitching, and fusing. Panic first raced through his mind as felt whole again. He was feeling whole for the most part, but it felt off. Not that it wrong, just different. Surprisingly Number Seven was still around. The Steward was thankful for that as ... he was not left completely alone with strangers or in such a weakened state. It was not that he didn't distrust Ko, he was just unused to the medic.

Number Seven helped Sousuke up. The Steward was still groggy. With his working arm he removed the mouth guard he was given earlier. "Thank-you."<i></i> He spoke to the ebony canine. The Steward turned to Ko and nodded his head. "Thank-you as well. If I was with the doctor prior I beleive I may have been missing some parts... but I feel whole and full. Feeling has yet to come back to my arm but ... nothing is jutting out which is visually pleasing."<i></i> The Steward lightly traced his finger down his arm which was shattered. "Yes... complete and full once more."<i></i> The Steward nodded his head. "Well done. I am most thankful for the mending process that you and the medical doctor Itami has done. Give my regards and thanks to her as well."<i></i>

The Steward wanted nothing more than to go home right now, but of course that would not be as the healing process would take some time. In addition to that it was no doubt favourable for him to be present in the hospital for a few days to make sure everything set in properly. "It would be best to be introduced to my accommodations for the next few days. Not that I am looking forward to being here for a few days since I have work to do ... but I realize it is a necessity. Let us go then."<i></i> It was only a few days. He could survive this easily, if given multiple rubic cubes.

((sorry it took me a little while and that it is short, was a little preoccupied.))

Ko followed all of the instructions of his senior med officer down to the letter. He made sure to perform every task as she asked and helped her finish the operation in no time. He smiled at his medical sensei as he too took off his gloves. "Gotcha, thank you Dr. Kanashimi, you too."<i></i> and with that Itami left the room. He nodded and turned to the recovering Steward.

Ko listened to the man speak about his body, the nerve endings always react oddly right after an operation. The young boy nodded and smiled at Sousuke. "I'm glad I could be of use, not going to lie to you, but you were my first patient... Ever."<i></i> Ko smiled, he hadn't even dealt with illness before, let alone surgery.

Ko walked to the door beside the entrance and opened the closet. Pulling out a wheelchair, Ko brought it to the Steward so he could rest as Ko transported him to his room. "If you would like to sit here, I'll be able to take you straight to your room."<i></i> Ko smiled and awaited for the Kazekage-Steward to take a seat.

The Steward eyed Ko for a moment. He waved away the wheel chair. "I may be broken and mending, but they are those who need that more than I do."<i></i> The Steward spoke as he steadied his steps. The Steward was assisted by Number Seven who looked at him with a quizzical look. "Hrmmph."<i></i> The Steward once stable took a few small steps. He listened to Ko as the boy expressed himself and that Sousuke was his first patient. The Steward almost cracked a smile upon his face. The end of his lips curled slightly. "Well, it seems that your first surgery was a success. May you have many more."<i></i> Again the Steward complimented Ko. The Steward judged that perhaps the last half an hour had been extraordinarily intense for the medic. Extreme stress, and following that extreme relief at success.

"I'll settle myself into my room."<i></i> The Steward spoke. "All I ask is that you find me a rubic cube."<i></i> The Steward snorted. "It'll keep my mind from going into a state of decay."<i></i> Boredom was the absolute worst state of mind for the Steward. The last time the Steward was bored ... well that resorted in him listening to his parents and the creation of Kitchenzilla at the cost of his mother's stove. "If that is too much to ask, then I'll busy my mind with Qauntumus Physic Equations... I just must avoid the state of boredom at all costs."<i></i> Simple requests, and nothing more. The Steward was not a man of the highest needs.
