Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[legend="The Caverns"]Mission Type:Solo-Mission
Mission Rank: E Rank
Objective: Deep in the caverns that lead out of Sunagakure into the depths is all matter of plant and animal-life. The tunnels do not get dangerous until a great distance has been traversed, monster-like beasts are often killed and the dens of such creatures burned or buried for good reason. In any case, natural plant-life can be found in these caverns. Despite the relative safety, dangers are still present in the form of tunnels with limited supports, the potential presence of creatures and the fearful possibility of getting lost. Finding these plants is time-consuming but necessarily for various remedies and tonics, Medics favor youngsters willing to help restock their supplies.

Plants of interest include:

Midnight Bloom said:
A small, poisonous blossom that grows underground in the deeper caverns. The flower itself is quite pretty, a deep violet mass of petals, despite the dangers associated with its consumption many enjoy having his flower in their home because of how attractive it is.
The Seeds: Toxic, the poison is most concentrated here. The seeds cause severe GI upset, symptoms include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea and cramping. The poison is not deadly but it can be considered incapacitating. These symptoms can last anywhere from an hour to three days depending on how much was consumed in relation to total body weight.
The Flower: Pleasant to gaze upon, the bloom itself is toxic like the seeds but not nearly as much. A single bloom, however, is still sufficient enough to keep an unfortunate victim barricaded in the bathroom for a full hour. Many enjoy looking at these flowers and have the sense enough to not eat them and to wash their hands after handling. The flower also gives off a pleasant scent, this aroma is not used in making perfume due to the toxic nature of the plant.
The Root: Useless.
The Stem: Useless.
The Leaves: Useless.

Stranglevine said:
An invasive plant that grows in the underbrush. It is a black, twisting knot of a plant with red leaves and no blooms but plentiful with thorns. If pierced by this plant, the affected may suffer minor paralysis that could last as long as a day in the affected extremity. Sometimes used as a cruel prank, this plant is usually avoided or burned whenever possible because it also chokes out other forms of plant life that wish to grow there.

Akamaro was making his way out of the city and was headed to the caverns of Suna. He hadn't been there before but was prepared for his voyage. Two missions were under his belt and Akamaro was proud to be doing yet another. This time he would be helping out the Medics of Suna by retrieving some flowers for them. Apparently they were used in all sorry of healing for Suna and so the boy was eager to help out. He was also excited that this was looking to be a leisurely mission for the boy. Compared to chasing a naked girl around, which with every day he minds less and less, and chasing a demon cat this would be calm and relaxing. As he approached the caverns Akamaro paused so that he could double check his supplies. He didn't want to be stuck in these caverns without the proper supplies. There wouldn't be anybody to bail him out while he was down there.

Container for the flowers... Check. Kunai to cut... Check. Gloves so I don't touch the vines... Check. And most important a Lantern... Check. Akamaro put the gloves on his hands and pulled out his lantern. Lighting the flame he held it up and gazed into the cavern. Even though he expected the mission to be a breeze this place didn't give off that vibe. It was dark and just the idea that there were things unknown to Akamaro in there gave him a slight feeling of unease. But he had read the mission report. There was only likely to be Midnight Bloom and Stranglevine. So long as he avoided the Stranglevine everything should be fine. Going over this thought relaxed Akamaro and he pulled out his kunai. Time to pick some flowers!

Venturing forward Akamaro gazed at his surroundings as his lantern lit up the walls and floor. It was creepy and yet kind of relaxing. Nobody was here to bother or pester him and Akamaro was left alone to his thoughts. As an only child this somewhat comforted Akamaro. He made sure to keep his eyes peeled for the flowers he needed to pick. After searching for a bit Akamaro realized he should be marking his way. There was likely to be turns and getting lost in here would not be fun. With his kunai Akamaro made marks in the way with arrows pointing his way. Now he just needed to follow them out and he would be fine. Making his way further into the dark cavern Akamaro could see a faint shimmer of color ahead of him. As he approached he was delighted to see the Midnight Bloom he was looking for. Perfect! He bent down to cut the stem and saw Stranglevine curling up near and around the flower. Need to be careful not to touch that stuff. Moving his hands and kunai around the flower Akamaro safely cut it from its thorny prison. 1 down! Lets get some more. The boy placed the flower in the bag he brought and continued forward.

About an hour had passed and Akamaro had made great progress. He was collecting many flowers sometimes even being lucky to find them in bunches. So far the mission was going exactly how Akamaro had predicted it would be. Like a breeze. Akamaro picked another flower and looked into his bag. It was almost completely full and the boy feared going any deeper. He figured this would be a good amount and a good time to turn back. Spinning around Akamaro headed in the direction he came in. The boy looked at the cavern walls every so often to see the little arrow he had carved to make sure he was going in the right direction. Easy stuff. As he head back Akamaro whistled as tune to keep himself occupied. He was no longer nervous.

"WHOOOA!!!!" Akamaro's yell echoed through the area. He was feeling the sensation of falling. Something had caught his foot. Don't break the lantern!!!! Swiftly the boy turned his body as he fell to ensure his only light source didn't break.

THUD!

Akamaro hit the ground and shook his head. He landed pretty hard and slightly knocked the wind out of him. His lantern was okay but he wasn't able to use his hands to break the fall. For a moment the boy just lay there and thought about how he got here. What did I trip on? Shining the light at his feet Akamaro felt his stomach sink. Stranglevine... Acting quickly Akamaro used his kunai to cut his right foot free. He freaked out a bit when he saw the thorns had cut into his right leg slightly. He was even more upset to see that the thorns had also cut into his left arm. Why... Why... Why!!!! A simple mission just became a lot harder. Quickly rising to his feet Akamaro held the lantern in his right hand and picked up his speed to a run. These things caused minor paralysis and Akamaro didn't know how much longer he would have control over his arm and leg.

For a few minutes Akamaro was able to make good time by running to the entrance. But then it started to happen. He could feel his right leg being harder to move and his left arm started to swing freely at his side. Within a few more minutes Akamaro was hopping on one leg. He had barely any control over his right leg. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY EASY MISSION! Hobbling his way forward the boy started to get frustrated. His face got red and he wanted to scream but he wanted to escape this place even more. Akamaro's one hour journey into the cavern had become a two hour exit.

Finally Akamaro could see some light shining in. He had reached the entrance. He would have put his lantern away but he was afraid it would just be more trouble than it was worth. As he inched towards the entrance Akamaro let out a slight laugh. Now that it was all over he couldn't help but feel relief and let out a laugh to calm himself. The situation was slightly funny after all. Finally reaching Suna Akamaro hopped once more...

THUD!

Akamaro hit the ground face first. His lantern hit the ground and extinguished itself. With a face full of dirt and sand Akamaro yelled at the ground as he tried to lift himself to his feet only using one arm and leg. WHY ME!? Akamaro's left leg was extremely tired from carrying him the entire way and was likely the reason he tripped. Taking a deep breath Akamaro prepared himself for the journey to the mission office. He just prayed he wouldn't fall yet again.
