Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]A blond-haired man entered the room rather quickly after having posted up the details of the class on the board. He was rather hopeful someone would show up. He was referred to as an incredibly strict teacher and as a result he had a tendency of throwing out most of his class. His forest green eyes glanced out of the window at the pleasant weather outside, before closing them as he rested by his desk. He decided a nap would be appropriate seeing as how the children would take their sweet time arriving.|

It was typical for Jomei to arrive quite late, but something was different today. The classroom's entrance creaked open with an obnoxious kind of loudness, and young Jomei sneaked in quietly once he spotted his latest instructor asleep at the desk. The room took on a dusty sepia hue; a filtered effect from the beautiful daylight shut out by the blinds. Marching to the center of the front row, Jomei selected an attentive spot for the classroom portion of the class, and turned his attention to a ninjutsu textbook he brought along.

Jomei couldn't blame the instructor for catching a quick cat nap, but the student had more vigor for this lesson than his master. Jomei was too excited to relax, better yet rest. According to the flyer he posted: Masaru was the instructor's name, and cafeteria rumors hinted that he was indeed one of the most terrifying experiences the academy had to offer. Jomei had heard enough horror stories about this Masaru to take the lesson seriously: that textbook hadn't left Jomei's sight line since he entered the room. Even if he proved to be an inferior student, Jomei was going to fail with an exceptional vocabulary and every answer to the quizzes for chapters one through three.

"Good morning, sensei" Jomei said with a comforting tone, standing front and center before Masaru. "I'm Jomei, here for Ninjutsu 101."

His palm slid the door to the side allowing him entrance into the classroom, truthfully his last class before he was eligible to take the exiting exam. The strange part was the fact that he was taking a class that was considered basic knowledge for someone like him who had already spent two years within the academy. Glancing within the room, he noticed another kid disturbing the instructors nap session but truthfully didn't pay it no attention. He was truthfully just tired of the academy setting and forgo'd the usual entrance procedures most students performed when entering a class such as giving their names and restating where they were in order to ensure they were in the right place specifically. Oyochi took his seat near the back of the class, the boy's bangs falling cleanly over his eyes to where they were hidden from other people's vision though that did not mean he couldn't see. The boy was non-chalant in his persona, though beneath that was a calculating and increasingly emotionless boy who had been through enough situations in his short career to warrant this type of behavior.

For now he simply wanted this class to be over with as fast as possible, considering it was the last class he'd ever attend in the building. Some might have felt bitter-sweet about it however Oyochi did not have overly fond memories of his time here then too he was not the social butterfly type either.

Another student enters the classroom with an interesting appearance to say the least. He was dressed casually, but he was definitely different from the norm. It was quite obviously he had some sort of demonic ancestry within his bloodline. On top of his head were a pair of cat like ear in addition to his human ones on the sides. He also had a cat like tail, which swayed behind him. On his back he carries an acoustic guitar which he uses to cast genjutsu. This young boys name was Yume and this would be his very first class. It was only just yesterday he and his sister went to the headmaster’s office to sign him up for the academy. It was quite easy to tell Yume was a bit nervous when he entered the classroom for his tail was twitching. Yume was too timid to speak to either of the students that were already in the classroom and there was no way he was going to risk waking the teacher from her little nap. Yume takes a seat in the middle of the classroom and sits his instrument in his lab. While he painfully waits for the class to begin he starts to tune his guitar.

Moto Youta

'crap crap CRAP' Youta thought as he woke up fromm his sleeping in. He threw on a shirt and hoodie, grabbed his pants and yanked them on, and was out the door with his usual messy hair. He had no time to prepare if he was to make it to class before it was too late. "Gramps is going to kill me" he spoke to himself as he ran straight out of the housing district and towards the academy. Most people gave him a wide berth as he ran, knowing that he was usually up to no good. Those who knew he was attending at the academy did not feel too secure about his participation in protecting the future of Iwa. To be honest, neither did he. Youta was more apt to burn it down, and that thought put a smile on his lips. He was a bit insane, but he loved this place and wouldn't burn it down without a good reason. After all, it was his home for now. But a grand fire was such a pleasing idea...

His distracting thoughts caused him to plummet into another kid his age who cursed loudly. he pushed Youta off him and got up angrily. "Whats wrong with you kid! Watch it or I will beat you" he warned. "You beat me? Hardly!" The fiery kid remarked before launching at the other boy. A short scuffle would pursue with Youta triumphant, but not without a new shiner to represent himself properly. He ditched the scene before anyone authoritative could show up and headed towards class.

"Just what I needed" he grumbled as he entered the school building, well late due to his sleeping in and accidental brawl on the way. He quickly found a basic class in ninjutsu that sounded interesting and made his way towards the room. He was a bit late for it, but couldn't hurt to try walking in anyways. "Moto Youta reporting to Ninjutsu 101" he yawned out as he entered the designated class room. Rubbing his shiner he headed towards the back of the class room and found a seat as far away from the teacher as possible. He would then kick his feet up on a nearby chair, but under the table.

Whether or not the teacher was going to be mad at him awaited to be seen. Not that he cared, but it would be a pain to get yelled at again. While he awaited the teachers response, he looked over the other kids. They looked pretty normal, except the weird cat like person who was messing with a guitar. He instantly liked that kid. The guy in the front; looking all prepared and studious as he hugged a textbook, would be the exact opposite of someone Youta would get along with. Glancing to the left, he noticed the long banged black hair kid sharing his fondness of the back. He gave him a head nod, like one cool guy recognizing another chill guys presence. He then pointed to the nerd in the front with his head and gave a dramatic eye roll.

Masaru batted open an eye as the students began filing in. Forest green eyes observed each of them, taking in their appearances as they each came in. One Matsuo Jomei introduced himself to him and the teacher kicked his boots off of his desk and placed his feet upon the floor, leaning on the desk for a moment as he pushed himself up. He gestured for the boy to sit down, and began turning around as he grabbed a dry-erase marker. On the board, he wrote out his name, rank, and the name of the class. Turning around his lips would part to speak, but he was stopped as a boy with a shiner stepped into the room. Masaru raised a brow as he introduced himself as well before moving to sit at the back, like one of the other students. He raised a brow at the motion but shook the thought from his mind for the time being. Twirling the marker around in his left hand he began to speak now, not to be interrupted again.

"Welcome to Ninjutsu 101: The Basics of Ninja Theory. My name is Shirowa, Masaru and you will refer to me as Shirowa-sama. I am your teacher, not your friend. I will not tolerate any talking, horseplay, or sleeping in my class. If you do any of these things you will receive a strike and after three you will be kicked out from my classroom." He spoke and waited for the words to sink in before turning around to go back to writing on the board. As he wrote, he formed one-handed seals and summoned what looked like a crystal eye sitting upon his desk.
Basics of Ninja Theory said:
Ninjutsu are unique techniques which vary in size and power, as well as chakra consumption. In most cases, people must form hand seals to mold the chakra into the shape that they want, though this is not always the case.

After this, a rough diagram of the human body had been drawn next to the box, along with a system designated the flow of chakra within the body. "I want you to first begin by introducing yourself to the class if you have not already. Once you have done that, you are to attempt to channel your chakra through your body forming the Rat hand seal, like so." Masaru spoke and formed the handseal himself to show his students.

Standing in the neighboring room Kitsune leaned against the wall. This would be her younger brother’s first class and she wanted to be there for him. With her superior hearing she could tell what was going on in the classroom with ease. Kitsune could even tell what was being written by listening for the sounds of the marker as it glides across the white board. Teacher sounded quite strict and it was interest he asks for the honorific -sama rather than the more accurate –sensei. Being curious Kitsune places a hand on the wall as she touches the teacher’s dreams. Kitsune could sense that he had a talent for ice jutsu and she even mystically replicates his ability to perform one handed seals. “Interesting, I believe I might have run into someone like him before. That boy with the white fox also had an inherit knack for Ice jutsu.”

Meanwhile the cat eared student places the guitar on the chair next to him, stands up and introduces himself, “My name is Shikame Yume.” He the then preforms the hand seal shown, though sloppy doing it. He wasn’t sure which hand does which part and/or if that even mattered. He then attempts to channel his chakra with some success.

Little did Jomei know that his formal introduction would stir a demon for an instructor, causing Masaru to rise into action and immediately live up to his reputation. He was lean, feminine, and dressed in regal attire: hardly a threat to the eyes. But Masaru was just so... intense. Once the instructor turned his back to jot notes on the board, Jomei turned to take a look at the other students present for today's class. He hoped for another class with Kimi, but wouldn't be so lucky this time. Instead, Jomei was introduced to three more new faces; all of them more diverse than the last.

Jomei was hoping for more girls in his class, they were much easier to get along with. This class was had filled its quota on brutes, weirdos, and the strong, silent types. All Jomei needed was for his crush to arrive, and his shonen manga could start it's first chapter. He was less-than amused at his fate, and wondered who would be best-suited to fill roles in an imagined scenario. On command, the students began to pop up and announce themselves to the others, presenting Jomei the chance to get a read on their characters. First came Yume: he was the aforementioned weirdo. Jomei counted each involuntary ear wiggle from Yume's neko ears as he spoke. Any less than five wiggles and he couldn't play the lead.
"Wiggle" he whispered.

Feeling the attention of the room shifting to him, Jomei took his turn and popped up from his chair. This was the time to get nervous, and picture the crowd naked to calm yourself. Jomei needed a boost of confidence and to make an impression. He needed something cool to say or the other students would walk all over him.

"My name is Matsui Jomei" he said with an over-emphasized sternness, even taking a pose like Marasu as he did so. "And you may refer to me as Jomei-san! I hope to have an excellent learning experience with you all."

At the close of his intro, Jomei shrank back down into his seat and returned his focus to Masaru's lesson. Each hand seal served a different purpose in manifesting and molding chakra, and Masaru commanded the students to manifest with the rat seal. Too many hours were spent in his backyard over the winter, practicing these hand seals and studying for the academy. Jomei placed his hands into the seal with ease, but he didn't feel the rush of chakra so easily. It took a moment of struggle and deep breathing, followed by a sudden warmth that came from his very core. He had felt his first jost of summoned chakra.

"Blah blah blah, blah blah" Is all that was heard by Youta. Respect the teacher bull crap was not why Youta was here. He wanted to learn something useful, not be lectured about being polite. He was going to be a shinobi! The only politeness he cared to show was towards those who mattered to him. He would play it cool for now. Good thing he already introduced himself on his terms, now he wouldn't have to again.

Yume went and was a bit sloppy, but his attention was not bothered with him. His cat ears and tail were cool though. Youta watched Jomei and almost snorted at his geeky way of introducing himself. Least he understood the handseal, not a total loser. He had some interest in the geek as a potential text book friend. If Youta needed someone to study with, of course the geek was the first choice.

The Diagram of the chakra system was cool looking, and he had not known what it looked like prior. So something useful did come of this class so far. Youta stood up silently, on his turn, and showed the teacher his sign. The channeling and rat sign crap he already knew was boring, but he played along for now. Knowing where his core chakra coil was now via the diagram gave him a bit better control when he performed a perfect rat sign. Well, his sign was a bit different thanks to his fiery teachings of his family. The teacher would probably notice it was off, but his chakra was of course perfectly molded. If the teacher requested him to fix his hand seal, well he would get a surprise that no one would like.

Masaru raised a brow at the first boy who had performed the hand seal though it was improper. His arms came to a cross as that small frown formed upon his facial features. Forest green eyes watched as the other students began to attempt to do the same. The first child to enter the room made the seal with a great deal of ease and looked as though he grasped the basics. He glanced at the first boy and walked over toward him, taking the boy's hands in a soft grip despite the odd frigidness when he spoke, and formed his hands into the hand sign necessary to mold chakra with a greater ease. Masaru then glanced over to the fiery-natured boy and spoke in a tone that showed none of the previous irritation that had been present. "Form the hand seal correctly as I have just demonstrated for Yume." He spoke, before seeming to ignore the sleeping boy. If he was going to sleep through the class then so be it, he would miss out on the rest of the lesson that would benefit him. It would also cut him out of the class. Masaru decided to throw an ice needle directly next the sleeping boy, a loud thunk sounding off as it slammed into the wall. He would walk towards the front of the class, and assuming that the fiery-haired boy either spoke a reason for not forming the seals the correct way, he would proceed with the lesson.

"The next step we will follow is actually using a jutsu. I want you to take the chakra you are molding, and with that I want you to imagine someone you know, someone famous or perhaps a family member. Even someone you made up on the spot. To perform a transformation jutsu, form the seal, and coat yourself in chakra with the person you imagine in mind, mold that chakra to match the appearance you are going for and then unleash the jutsu." Masaru spoke as he crossed his arms in front of his desk, sword resting calmly against the wall on the marker board.

Yume knew exactly who he was going to transform into. He remembers the stories Kitsune that told him of the three Gypsy goddesses. He shall concentrate to transform into one of these goddesses. If his transformation jutsu is successful, he will transform into Tia the goddess of the sun. Tia was like a knight in shining armor. Golden plates clothed her form from head to toe. The suit was polished to perfection so much so that it shown in the rays of the morning light giving her a majestic aura about her. Despite the beauty there were some imperfections that marred her precious suit. Dents, nicks and cuts littered its surface as evidence of the many battles she has fought over the many centuries of her existence. Evil seemed to have never slept and she must remain always diligent. However, even with these imperfections the suit still serves its purpose. In her hands she holds a mighty sword that could slay even the strongest of mortals with ease. Down the center of the claymore kanji was inscribed and it read: ‘No evil shall escape my light.’ It was a warning to her enemies and a promise to her children. It was a double edge sword, however like the words it was sharp enough to strike fear into her foes with a single thrust but heavy as the promise is difficult to bear. Even as a goddess she finds the promise threatening to crush her under its weight. Tia had wings like an angel and when she was first summoned into being she had them stretched out wide and they looked to be like veils of pure fire. Plumage of red, orange and yellow adorn her wings. The feathers shimmered in the light like a flickering flame. Her feathers were unique, though they looked like a birds upon closer inspection one would see not tiny little hairs sprouting from the stem but scales like that of a reptile. The scales were light but durable and were in a sense the armor to her wings. Her wings were the shield to her sword. They were a shield that she can use to not only protect herself from danger, but those she held under her wing as well. Now as she stands before the teacher tall and proud, she folds her wings into what looks to be a long flowing feathery cape. The wings however were not her only animalistic appendage she possessed. Around her legs a crimson tail lightly wraps. The tail was serpentine with yellow and orange fur stemming from its tip like a fine paintbrush. Its scales were like that of her wings.

It seemed as if Jomei's classmates intended to give the infamous instructor Masaru a run for his money. Masaru was set on intimidating Youta with a ninjutsu display. He had an artisan's flare to his creations, and was capable of molding chakra into complex forms without a single mudra. His ice spike chilled the air as it zipped by.

Jomei took note of the precision of his teacher's chakra molding, but didn't get to see what it was worth. These kind of ninja, elementals, were particularly powerful when it came to manipulating chakra. Another similar-natured classmate attempted to intercept Masaru's ice dagger. The entire class came to a halt as some kind of showdown brewed. With no elemental talent of his own to boast, Jomei considered moving away from the center of the room, but hung tight. His senses were getting edgy and neurotic around those loose cannons, and the moment seemed like it would last forever.

Jomei leaned over his book, focusing on the lesson at hand to clear himself of the room's distractions. His eyes flicked to and fro like a metronome from the pages to the board. Ingesting knowledge help him understand what was happening.
[col]It was then that the instructor breezed into the next phase of their lesson; performing ninjutsu. Masaru made the transformation technique sound like a cake walk. it was rather simple to achieve, but took a lifetime to master. Wisely, Jomei turned to his textbook for support and turned to the lesson on Henge no Jutsu.
Though henge no jutsu is a beginner technique, it is strenuous on the user and requires a constant emission of chakra. The room's temperature bounced slightly from his chakra nature as Yume made a flashy evolution. His chakra was working double-time, and Jomei would soon learn about the strain for himself. Yume's configuration was something spectacular to behold. A showcase of expertise and rare imagination, uncommon among the student level.

Dog - boar - ram!

Jomei clapped his hands together into the form of each hand seal as the book instructed, and paused to take a deep breath. The chakra gathered within him, and like a balloon he let out a sudden poof. Smoke cleared around him like a dispersing crowd. Once he revealed himself, the class saw a glistening, luxurious rendition of Masaru Shirowa. He was as glorious as the master himself, and sat at Jomei's set with a mannerful pose. To his classmates the backside of the transformation would have looked flawless, but Masaru himself would be the first to see the fatal flaw.|

"You asked for it" If he wanted a proper Rat sign he was going to find out exactly what happened when he gave him a proper hand seal. Youta jumped down next to the teacher. "I'd love to display the proper hand seal for the whole class.." He said mischeviously. His hands hovered in front of him as he prepared to perform the seal the way he knew would end badly, the correct way.

As his hands came together and he channeled the chakra through the rat sign that normal shinobi used, a sudden blaze of fire would whip up and outward away from him. The flames weren't severe as he guided barely any chakra through his coil; assuming he had huge control which he did not, but only managed to reduce the destruction by a fraction. The flames would crash into things in a small circle, the front row of desks would find the bottoms charred, the teacher and his desk had a flame wall coming at him, and of course the chalkboard/Dry erase board was trashed behind him.

"A proper rat sign" he bowed and decided whether or not to take a seat or prepare for being thrown out. He only did as was told. The teacher should have assumed he changed his sign for a reason or asked why he did it different. So many abilities out there, there was usually a reason behind it.

Deciding Youta did not like the teacher, he decided leaving was best. Let him deal with that. "Sorry about the mess, Ima go home and clean up" he waved as he walked towards the door. He brushed off some ash from his clothes and left the room if unstopped.
