Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Thoughts of a biological infection that caused mutations as a form of murder or animals transforming into odd creatures with a sudden predatory nature were on Kamaru’s mind as he radio’d in he was on route back to the Village when he was in range. he was surprised at the sudden call back to meet at a waypoint. Usually the response would have been slower with just a simple acknowledgement. Seeing people at the waypoint already Kamaru quickly worked through it seeing the robed figures wearing masks. Explaining who they were and showing identification got a hand wave from Kamaru since it was more a formality than anything else really. They took custody of the man and the samples from the animal, Kamaru was given a folder. A protection detail it seemed of a man close to the area he was just at. With a sigh he nodded to the two who didn’t really pay him much mind and got on the road back to the village. Kamaru found himself moving in a different direction for his next mission.

On a break Kamaru drank from a water bottle and reviewed the details. A police detective had run down a lead involving the murders in the Village and found someone willing to talk if brought in for questioning, from what it sounded like Kamaru had a mental flag raised when the informant didn’t mind if he was in protective custody or solitary confinement just as long as he was protected. A politician. By stereotype he was not the kind of guy to be on the level totally, the fact he was willing to spend an undefined amount of time in jail made Kamaru aware the guy was a bit desperate.

Finding the path to the meeting point Kamaru found a man who was dressed at least as a detective, still on guard he made himself known before the man introduced himself as Iseki Hayato which was the name of his contact on site. Fuchizaki Tokichiro looked up from the chair he was brooding in as Iseki and Kamaru came into the small cabin. He walked over and thanked Kamaru for his assistance in getting him to the Village of Stone since the ‘heathens’ evil acts should be known. The smile and earnest nature in his voice was there, even facial expressions. If Kamaru didn’t know any better he’d say the guy was being truthful, granted the reality was the man was a politician with insider information on some creepy infectious disease or something that mutated people and created things like what Kamaru encountered in the lake and didn’t mind spending time in jail made him think otherwise. It made Kamaru wonder what the guy had got involved with that was this shady and scared him this much.

With the other two ready to go it seemed Kamaru just asked why the windows were boarded up out of curiousity which lead to something of an encounter. The police detective explained he had noticed but hadn’t bothered to ask until now. Fuchizaki was quiet for some time when something slammed into the cabin’s outer wall. When the man dove to the ground away from the sound and started scampering away the look and level of fear in the man’s eyes wasn’t normal. Kamaru eyes darted as his mind raced, the sudden grinding sound coming from where something hit the building grew in volume until a hole was ripped out of the side of the building. With the sudden light breaking in Kamaru started to make decisions on the fly.

”Door. Now. Keep moving.” he ordered to the others. Moving outside got something coming into the cabin, a clawed hand of blood came in first with a body following. Kamaru opted to not get too many details first hand as the person stepped in. The staring eye looking at the stranger shattered as Kamaru moved out of the range of being able to see from it. He didn’t have to see much more, he kind of figured out why the politician would be willing to give up information now. His life was more valuable to him.

On the run Kamaru caught up with the other two.

”Fuchizaki, you know a protection detail is different than requesting someone to stop an assassination right?” Kamaru explained as he jogged up meeting their pace.

”W-w-what?” the man jabbered stumbling almost just trying to keep pace in the run.

With his target gone the man stared around, pitiful. The meager humans scampered around like the foolish little bags of flesh they were, it was a job to take one of them down it was probably the weak one fleeing away. But the calling headed him to hunt them down and perform the rights. Such inferior specimens would be disappointing in a way though.

”The meek shall be trampled…” be muttered kicking open the front door and giving chase.

Several minutes later several people entered cautiously from both the broken front door and opening on the side of the building.

”Tracks lead into the woods taking the backroads. Two sets, one group of a few and a follower, second one isn’t making any attempts to hide his path really.” one of them stated to the group. Looking among themselves they silently made a decision and nodded. Filing out the building from the front door they wordlessly darted into the woods after their prey.

”This is nuts! That guy in a suit was suppose to protect me! You guys won’t know anything if I’m dead!” the man vented to the man next to him.

Kamaru dove out of the treeline and started to warn them, ”Watch out h-” was all he got to before the police officer slammed his shoulder into Kamaru. It wasn’t enough to knock him down but the politician had enough intelligence to scramble away and keep running while screaming hysterically.

As a puff of smoke exploded around Kamaru a blood red claw of metal and dark red blood flashed out into the police detective lifting him off the ground. The man stopped looking at the police detective and looked for the target. He flicked the chain for the body to fall off but it seemed to be jammed on his weapon, had he hit a bone? The man shook it several times and grumbled on the inconvenience when the detective’s insides took on a brown gooey texture letting him know why he was having all the trouble. The muddy body was slammed with the weapon against the ground in succession repeatedly in a rapid attempt to dislodge his weapon. The growl coming out of the man’s throat in agitation was cut short by the sudden impact of a fist against his jaw as it caught fire followed by several spinning kicks before he was slammed to the ground. He was a bit shocked to see the target having doubled back to attack him, fleeting as it was the man seemed to have skill. As the politician moved through hand seals it was apparent too much skill for a normal person. Kamaru shot out of gout of lava toward his doppleganger, the illusion of being Fuchizaki dismissed and in the distraction his fist started to blaze with fire his jacket growing longer and catching fire as it turned into a trenchcoat of blackened embers and lava.

As Kamaru closed and the assassin or killer moved to meet him several projectiles converged on the two of them causing them to both dart away. They both looked at twelve figures moved in on them. Kamaru moved away throwing up several projectiles flashing into the air before they darted down as he exited away getting some distance and causing those following him too closely to back off not knowing who the secondary attackers were.

His would be opponent was already on one of them, blood spattering out from an attack. The claw holding the person against a tree as the killer bite into their neck and continued to bite and chew. Kamaru was glad it wasn’t him in the situation as he watched the grizzly scene. Oddly enough since Kamaru seemed like a lesser threat and wasn’t eating them only three followed him, the others seemed mostly focused on avenging a fallen comrade or just focused on containing someone who might try and eat them in combat should they turn their back on him.

Kamaru easily confused his pursuers moving in one direction but creating sounds from another direction had them guessing if the real one was the one in front of them at time. Causing them to split up, slamming into an unseen wall on occasion didn’t help their morale much. Scream in the distance didn’t leave much room for what was going on during the other fight. Kamaru found himself eventually alone as he caught his breath.

”I sent them ahead on a different route. If you’d like to beat the route out of me that’s fine. At least I need to keep you at arms length.” Kamaru commented feeling the bloodlust and malice as it neared.

The man regarded him calmly which was disturbing considering the fact his was mostly covered in dried blood. ”You’re a coward with your tail between your legs… You can’t face me head on and take your hits like a man?” the man chided him sneering, his fang like incisors bearing with his mouth slightly agap.

”Fight, murder, eat, taking on someone in a bout face to face and trading blows and not dodging… what kind of fucked up delusional world you in anyway? If we’re in the business of getting good at killing each other it’s disrespectful to just sit there and just bash each other’s brain in. It shows we can’t think of anything else really to try and attempt except a base emotional nature, to attack each other. And we’re too foolish or lazy to try and dodge one another.” Kamaru scolded the man.

He could see the rage building inside the man in front of him from the insult. Kamaru didn’t care though what the man considered honorable, Kamaru deemed as barbaric. As the man dashed towards Kamaru and the stone he was in the ground gave way underneath him, Defensively he braced for the fall but the sudden hot sensation and brightness had his eyes open. It wasn’t a pit trap but lava under a thin layer of earth he had fallen into. The donut shaped pit surrounded Kamaru and with the man’s quick thinking had him scrambling for the one safe area in the middle from the falling rubble. Kamaru was trapped. It was pitiful, although a bit surprising.

As he slammed down onto the smug head of Kamaru his weapon moved through it effortlessly, as his smile faded he slowly realized the muddy face falling to the side, his foot not landing on steady ground but crumbling sand. As he scrambled for solid footing the thoughts of being tricked into killing a clone were dismissed. Until a seering hot pain hit the man in his jaw.

”Well now I can at least not worry about you biting me.” came Kamaru’s mocking tone from outside the death trap. The searing pain was realized as the man touched his lower face or was was left of it. Kamaru had sniped out a shot to hit the man in his lower jaw. He couldn’t see it on the ground but it seemed Kamaru had knocked off his lower jaw literally. He corrected himself finally smelling singed flesh and bone. It had been burned right off his face. Between the shock and unstable footing the man tried desperately to get away but slowly spiraled into the doom of the inevitable.

At the gates outside the Village Kamaru looked from the police detective to the politician. ”Just to motivate you to give up as much information as possible… He was literally going to eat you alive, before he killed you.” Kamaru explained before pulling out his creditials and made his way to the Village Gates.
