Kurokawa had finally reached the sandy deserts of the wind country. By now she had left a message for the one who should have traveled with her as she could not keep waiting out in the open. With news of the one assaulting her back in stone, being out and about outside the city, Kurokawa needed to take refuge in Sand and fast. She would have to go and find some Sand officials so that she could get enlisted there, and maybe feel safe again. Open war is one thing. At least there you know who your enemies are to some degree. It is a different beast to have random countrymen turn assassins in the middle of peace times. If she was going to live like every day had a potential to be lethal, she might as well live in the country that advocated that and from what she knew of neighboring countries sand had the "survivor of the fittest" mentality that could be said to emulate a situation like that. She was confident that she could adjust to the sand in her shoes.
