Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was not uncommon for Kazuki to receive stuff directly into his Sennin office. Most of them they were junk, trinkets with no proper use, but, now and then, he received things that were particularly interesting. Given his rank as Sennin for the Occult, it was no surprise that some of the offerings that were brought to him were of supernatural kind. The Senju Overlord was late in his office, finishing some reports that were supposed to be send to the Kazekage’s office for analysis when a knock on his dark brown wooden door interrupted his writing frenzy and focus. ”Yes?” he would question with a slight annoyed tone. In response he would get a more forceful knock on the door, quickly followed by a third that made the hinges screech. The Shadow Sword would practically jump from his chair, very determined to slay whoever had the audacity to do those knocks. Unfortunately, by the time he reached the door and opened, he only saw a fleeting black robe disappearing in the right corner of the corridor that led to his room. He was going to shut the door when he noticed a rolled scroll at his feet. He was going to pick it up when the White Wolf realized the parchment was very, very old. With extreme care, Reaper would transfer the scroll from the ground to his desk. Small particles would fall but most of it would remain intact. Even more gently, the Sennin would open the scroll and he would have but a moment to read it before it crumbled into dust. Cursing under his breath, the Deep Court Hybrid would hastily grab two scrolls and he would begin writing down what he had memorized. Luckily, his memory was near photographic thus he had retained the entire content of the other parchment.

After thirty minutes of nonstop writing, the Death Court Lord finished his copies. One scroll from himself for storage and the other for Sousuke. He quickly recalled what he had read and written down. A long time ago, a human male was taught sorcery by one of the former Lords of the Ancient kind. Proving himself to have an apt mind, the man quickly rose in the Lord’s hierarchy until his powers began rivaling his Lord’s own. Fearing having his lordship being usurped by a lowly human, the Ancient Lord battled and imprisoned the sorcerer on a specially built tomb. This tomb had power dampeners and a myriad of seals whose purpose was to hold and contain and prevent the sorcerer’s escape. Vowing for revenge, the mage eventually used his imprisoning to dabble into necromancy. It did not take him long to discover how to turn himself into a lich, which he did, thus attaining immortality, just like those nasty Ancients did. Having all the time of the world, the Lich only had to bid his time until revenge could be exacted. Imprisoned as it were, it did not realize the time of the Ancients had been over for a while now, overtaken by a former slave that led the entire country into rebellion and, eventually, freedom. The most curious thing about the scroll’s contents were not the tale about this sorcerer turned lich, but the fact that words had been added in red. “IT HAS RISEN”

Ironically, the former sorcerer had been entombed in the very place that would gain the name Godsfall, the very place of the Ancient’s last stand. Summoning one of his spies, Kazuki dispatched his operative to search the area for the so called tomb. A couple of days later, he received a report from his agent that he had found out a keep, a small one but a keep nonetheless, in Godsfall. The Senju Overlord had been there before, he knew there were no constructions made by man in that place. Packing some supplies, the White Wolf stormed off, heading directly to Godsfall. A few days later, he would establish a temporary camp a mile away from the so called keep. From that distance he saw multiple figures patrolling the walls, the sun shining at the tip of the spears those warriors held. He was a Dark Sage, he had intimate knowledge about death and he knew those men down there were not alive at all. In fact, he could not feel anything alive inside that stone construction. On the other hand, he felt a ton of chakra in the air, particularly emanating from the rock that comprised that keep. A clear sign that chakra had been used to create said fort, perhaps out of the tomb itself. What he had to do now was quite clear. Despite being alone against a small army, the White Wolf would have to storm the keep and take it, slain every creature inside and discover where the lich was, if this was the product of the lich at all and not of a derelict Dark Sage with grandeur delusions.

He knew he could take it all by himself, the undead were not a threat to him, not on his current state, but still, there was no point in incurring in needlessly risks. It was time to bring reinforcements out of his own private soul army. A single shadowy coffin would slowly rise Reaper’s right side, lead would fall on the sandy floor with a thump. From within came forth The Mighty Thor, Mjolnir in hand and ready to do battle against the enemies of Sunagakure. With a potent hurl of his hammer, Thor was propelled forward, directly into the keep. As he landed right in the middle of the courtyard, a massive lightning stroke the fortress and obliterated most of the undead soldiers at the walls. In his turn, Kazuki merged into shadows and reemerged in the middle of the courtyard as well, hardened shadowy spikes being thrown in every direction as he did so, impaling everyone caught in the radius. And so the defenders all fell. More troops began exiting the inner buildings, creating a defensive formation in front of the invading duo. What happened next was a show of shadowy strikes, lightning and hammer strikes that quickly dispatched any resistance as if it was a hot knife on butter. As the dust settled every denizen that rushed outside to defend the keep had been downed. The Senju Overlord and Thor would quickly scour the every building inside the walls and every room inside those buildings. Aside from a few scattered undead warriors they found no trace of the so called lich. Could this have been just a ruse to drag the White Wolf away from Sunagakure? Or had the lich evaded the Shadow Sword in time? Reaper had no definitive answer, but at least he knew he had permanently slain a few dozen undead creatures. Lich or derelict Dark Sage, this keep and its army where no more.
