Shinzo beamed at the arrival of Mikasa as she stepped into the room her presence was one that served to comfort the young shinobi more than most. “There have been some issues, though only minor so I should like to think the transition has been reasonably successful.” But soon he had to regain his serious composure as the series of events that unfolded in the office took a turn towards troubling. The seikon stood quietly, observing the situation and paying the utmost attention to the goings on before him. Soon both Yuki and Yukio arrived bearing unexpected news regarding the unknown whereabouts of the Anbu Sennin. Shinzo’s brow furrowed upon hearing such a thing, in his interactions with Maki there had been no indication of any sort of lack of punctuality, quite the opposite in fact which made this circumstance quite suspicious.
He chose to listen now, rather than speaking. It would serve him better as he learnt the etiquette for such important meetings, and his experience wasn’t exactly insurmountable in these areas. The boy politely smiled toward Tamashii as the news of his role was shared, he nodded once out of respect toward the Sennin. As Takeshi continued to speak Shinzo’s mind drifted, mentally questioning what exactly the problems in Sand were at this point in time, that would be something to investigate in the near future. Though soon his trail of thought was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the dark visage that made its presence well known to those in the chamber. The boy’s green eyes darted to the sennin and anbu captains present in order to judge their reactions so that he could accurately respond to the figure. Kenshin seemed rather alarmed by the sudden appearance while the others gathered appeared relatively calm, Shinzo decided that it would be best to remain on guard though not visibly on edge.
Yukio’s dismissal to begin dealing with the situation was almost immediate to which Shinzo was seemingly glad, such a potential threat had to be dealt with immediately and the swift action taken was good in his mind. The topic of conversation was then shifted back to interbranch relationships, specifically the advancement of students to the rank of genin prior to branch choices being made. The head Jounin nodded in agreement with those gathered. “I too think that time spent as Genin would be extremely valuable to students before they make their final branch decision. I would argue that it is helpful to all the branches if a new recruit has some experience before their specialised training begins.” With this said the boy turned specifically toward Takeshi. “Lord Hokage, may I accompany Yukio to Crater City? Or is there anything else you require of me that would prevent me from doing so?” He gave a quick bow of his head while he waited on the reply to his request. He knew that he had to speak up and this could even be a time for him to prove himself to those who still doubted his ability in the position he was given.
