Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shinzo beamed at the arrival of Mikasa as she stepped into the room her presence was one that served to comfort the young shinobi more than most. “There have been some issues, though only minor so I should like to think the transition has been reasonably successful.” But soon he had to regain his serious composure as the series of events that unfolded in the office took a turn towards troubling. The seikon stood quietly, observing the situation and paying the utmost attention to the goings on before him. Soon both Yuki and Yukio arrived bearing unexpected news regarding the unknown whereabouts of the Anbu Sennin. Shinzo’s brow furrowed upon hearing such a thing, in his interactions with Maki there had been no indication of any sort of lack of punctuality, quite the opposite in fact which made this circumstance quite suspicious.

He chose to listen now, rather than speaking. It would serve him better as he learnt the etiquette for such important meetings, and his experience wasn’t exactly insurmountable in these areas. The boy politely smiled toward Tamashii as the news of his role was shared, he nodded once out of respect toward the Sennin. As Takeshi continued to speak Shinzo’s mind drifted, mentally questioning what exactly the problems in Sand were at this point in time, that would be something to investigate in the near future. Though soon his trail of thought was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the dark visage that made its presence well known to those in the chamber. The boy’s green eyes darted to the sennin and anbu captains present in order to judge their reactions so that he could accurately respond to the figure. Kenshin seemed rather alarmed by the sudden appearance while the others gathered appeared relatively calm, Shinzo decided that it would be best to remain on guard though not visibly on edge.

Yukio’s dismissal to begin dealing with the situation was almost immediate to which Shinzo was seemingly glad, such a potential threat had to be dealt with immediately and the swift action taken was good in his mind. The topic of conversation was then shifted back to interbranch relationships, specifically the advancement of students to the rank of genin prior to branch choices being made. The head Jounin nodded in agreement with those gathered. “I too think that time spent as Genin would be extremely valuable to students before they make their final branch decision. I would argue that it is helpful to all the branches if a new recruit has some experience before their specialised training begins.” With this said the boy turned specifically toward Takeshi. “Lord Hokage, may I accompany Yukio to Crater City? Or is there anything else you require of me that would prevent me from doing so?” He gave a quick bow of his head while he waited on the reply to his request. He knew that he had to speak up and this could even be a time for him to prove himself to those who still doubted his ability in the position he was given.

Kenshin would stand down. Still he would eye Yukio leaving and and the rest of the people in the room.

"Apologises, this sounds like a dangerous situation. Maki was not one to slack from my interactions with him in the past. This is unusual. I understand this meeting is important but the disappearance of a Sennin is more pressing I think. Lord Hokage," Kenshin would switch to a more formal speech "Would you permit either myself or Shinzo to go with Yukio? Whoever you don't send should be posted here to keep an eye on you. I fully trust Shinzo as a Hokage guard. And it is up to Yukio if he wants either of us." Kenshin would say bowing slightly.

"As for any other suggestion, I am still working on getting more shinobi in the main branch including doing genin and chuunin exams. Once we have some more, I imagine I will have a better idea of what we can do. Shinzo is also teaching classes and exams as well." Kenshin still slightly bowed. He was waiting for his marching orders. To chase after Maki or to tighten our defenses.

The Medical Sennin would glance between the remaining participants of the Sennin meeting, having already spoken her mind on the subject relating to the academy students. Rather, the initial conversation seemed to be in agreement, between the branches to various degrees. "I wish to bring one final detail into the lime light, recently the medical personnel have been treating far more academy students as of late than in the past. We must continue to monitor the situation closely as sparing sessions between the youth has escalated to serious situations." Mikasa addresses in a gentle tone, continuing to clutch her hands behind her back, "If Kenshin-san and Shinzo-san are to develop the academy, I wish to see them handle the situation before I have to interject." the kunonichi finalizes, despite them all knowing she teaches more lessons than most.

Faltering to silence she awaits to speak once more if necessary, although the maiden didn't fathom the likelihood anytime soon, or at least until the next subject were to be brought up. In the rear of her thoughts, an odd notion grinds together, Konohagakure was made up of an interesting bunch. The ANBU group led by a foreigner who came back from an excursion from Sunagakure, at least to her relative understanding. Mikasa leading the Medical unit, being from outside of the village gates and brought from another village in her earlier years. Then there was the muscle punch first and inquire later pair of Shinzo and Kenshin. She wondered if the hidden council ever sat down to sigh at the villages leadership; despite the qualifications each hold.

Dismissing the thought a thin grin appears on her visage, their home was certainly an intriguing location. Hopefully the situation with Maki would subside with their combined efforts and allow the village to continue forward as they all shared hopes for.

[OOC: Apologies, wasn't sure who was to post next. After great thought, I figured I would take the plunge. Probably was mine.]

The Haku settled down in her seat hearing Yukio following shortly behind, by the look on his face he was about a surprised as she was but still, Takeshi was going to want answers and she wasn’t sure that she could give him on.
“Maki is ummm…” She searched for the word. “Well we don’t know where he is Lord Takeshi” To most people referring to their husband in such a formal manner would have been unusual but Yuki had grown accustom to it by now, and then there was the third intrusion of the meeting, a black mass clad in black armour appeared before the, Yuki knew it well, it was Maki’s persona. But why was he here.
Yuki watched seeing Maki’s persona burn the words help on to the desk, her eyes filled with rage that someone had dared to hurt someone that she cared about, it was a raw primal rage like a red-hot ball burning inside of her. She clenched her fist tightly her nails digging in to the palm of her hand nearly hard enough to draw blood she knew that she needed to calm herself before the feeling took a hold of her and stir the thing that lurked inside of her. The Haku closed her eyes and took a deep breath, around her she could her voices echoing but to her they were muffled as if she was hearing the conversation through a wall, she whispered to Mizuke calming him before she opened her eyes nd unclenched her fist feeling the ache in her knuckles from letting go of her grip, catching Yukio before he left the room.
“Send word a head to gather the Branch, I need to rely this to them,” she spoke softly to him before watching him leave the room.

Takeshi brought calm to the situation by continuing the discussion, she listened to what the others had to say before having her own say on the matter, she was a little concerned by Mikasa’s statement about treating more Academy Students the usual, knowing that some of her own AiT’s were not completely blameless.
“I think that it is for the best, the ANBU Branch isn’t something that we should have people running into. A little time to see what other aspects of being a Shinobi would be for the best,” She paused and turned her the only other female in the room. “I am sorry for any trouble that my trainees have caused you, it seems that the AiT’s think being outside the Village means that the rules don’t apply form them, I am only glad that the situation hasn’t escalated to a point that puts any treaties that we have with the other villages at risk, I will see that they are dealt with if you hand me the names,”

Takeshi listened to the Sennin as they spoke, it seemed that everything was slowly coming to its full form. It would be decided between them that each and every Academy student that came through the Academy would have to at least spend time as a Genin before deciding to either branch off to the ANBU or the Medical Branch. Takeshi could understand that much, as he pondered for a few minutes he was broken from his thinking by Mikasa as she spoke about the students and actions of late, it seemed that he had to agree there was improvements that had to be improve.

“So that has been agreed then, Kenshin any academy student must at least spend time as a Genin before they are eligible to request transfer to the Medical or ANBU branch. I agree with this one. Consider this in effect from today. I expect each branch to follow this with close course and do not faulter from this. I will make exceptions, but that is only under the recommendation of Kenshin and either Mikasa or Maki”

Takeshi allowed himself to sigh for a few seconds. It seemed that he was willing to accept the opinion of his Sennin and would allow Tamashii to make a note of this, if it would improve the relationship of the Branches he knew full well that this was a step in the right direction as such he would not change this or even try to stop it. He agreed with it full well.

“Now onto the Academy matter. I am hearing the same in the wind, though I hate to ask the question directly I feel that we need to know where we stand with this, and what the issue is that had been taking to infecting the Academy Students”

Takeshi allowed himself to stand silent for a few minutes as he sat in the seat, pondering on how to word it correctly before just throwing it out there. He allowed himself to smile slightly as he pondered on the wording before turning his attention to Kenshin, he hated putting the man under a spot light, but it was required today.

“I have to ask Kenshin, with the current actions of the Students, what will be the reaction of you and your Head Jounin. I want this stopped before it continues to spread and become a true issue, so right now how are we going to combat against this?”

Takeshi leaned back in his chair he glanced at Tamashii wanting the man to show some interest in what he had to say about this, he knew that the man had experience beyond his years and that would come into play during this meeting.

Kenshin would listen to the others and nod along. Takeshi would then agree to the proposition. Then he would ask Kenshin a direct question. It was not an easy situation.

"I think this is coming from a lot of free time in between classes. This is a time of peace and the youth have no outlet. The last tournament of students went well enough. Maybe if we had another one it would allow a productive outlet instead of a destructive outlet. Sennin can watch the tournament and get a judge of students. Those students would need to become a genin but maybe some would get an offer from the other branches. Goodness knows Shinzo here benefited from the tournament. I will also be looking into hosting more classes or having more instructors teach. As we have more genin and hopefully chuunin in the future, more instructors and part time instructors would be beneficial and keeping students busy. I am, of course, open to other ideas. What do the rest of you think?" Kenshin would ask to the group that was remaining.

Kenshin was still worried about Maki. It was an issue. Maki always seemed competent in his position. for him to be missing is a sign.

"If you do not mind Takeshi W Ill be with you until we find Maki. Safety reasons. I will try to stay out of your way."

[Going to be skipping Shinzo for the time being?]

Mikasa held her tongue, wishing not to appear disrespectful to her fellow colleges; however the root of the issue danced about. Continuing to cusp hands behind her back, the Medical Sennin listens intently to the suggestion of Kenshin - unable to identify the drawbacks of the tournament outside of a single. Patiently she awaits for the proper time to begin speaking, "I believe this would be ideal, but I wish to suggest more than a mere student tournament." a brief pause, "I would find it more beneficial for Genin to have one of there own, as well." she murmurs, taking the liberty to continue speaking, "Or we can allow 'newer' Genin to participate as well." the kunochi concludes.

On the statement of Shinzo she glances over, beneficial was not the terminology she would went with. The poor lad had been stuck for a significant amount of time as an Academy Student and more than half of the combatants retired from combat prior to the matches. Never the least Mikasa had a single sparking argument she had to get off her chest, "While I do believe a sanctioned tournament is beneficial for alleviating stress, we have to also remind the younger generations that there are alternative methods to solving conflicts. Kenshin-san is quick to bout with those willing and with all due respect, Takeshi-sama, you have combated Genin and Academy Students for various reasons." shifting her gaze between the two Konohagakure higher ups, "There is a difference in lessons, proving a point, and showcasing strength. What is being hammered into there minds is that they shouldn't be bothered to speak and rely on there techniques only. Hence the spiking in hospital visitations."

Aiming an apologetic smile towards the leader of Konohagaure, the maiden hopes he understands the avenue in which Mikasa ventures from. "My fear has become when the younglings become Chuunin and Jounin, they will always resort to violence among one another." she summarizes in a calm alluring tone, the Medical Branch leader becomes content with speaking her mind. Surely the meeting wouldn't go into any additional detailing without Maki present; his unfortunate circumstances requiring immediate attention.

Shinzo listened closely, though his mind was too far gone from the other issues raised. His outwardly calm demeanour did not betray the flood of thoughts that spiralled in his mind as the news of the missing ANBU Sennin and the appearance of his persona sat amidst a sea of questions. With a sudden burst of realisation, Shinzo stepped back, his hazel-brown hair now sat unsettled atop the teen’s head. Mention of another student tournament made itself a key topic of conversation in the office, having had possibly the most experience on that front, he decided it was time to speak up on the matter.

“Well, if another tournament is to be run then I would have to agree with Mikasa-sensei. It would need to be done carefully, and some students would need to be watched more than others in order to make sure there are no rule breaking of foul play going on behind the scenes. As for punishments for previous misdeeds, I have already seen to a group and plan to have a heart to heart with the one I have determined as the ring leader.” He paused momentarily. Images of the tournament that he himself had partaken in flashed in his mind’s eye. “Efficiency will be key to properly manage a tournament. There are plenty of opportunities to be had via such an event or events.”

Shinzo glanced around the room once more, the question of Maki’s situation played on his mind. And now, with Yukio already on the trail, Shinzo felt as if now would be his time to act. “I shall make my way to catch up with Yukio, I feel my presence may be more beneficial with him as I do believe any further input I may have here would be limited to agreements given my lack of experience in raising shinobi.” Once again, the Head Jounin made a point to separate his speech. “Given the sense of urgency brought forward by that manifestation, I believe that we may soon have more problems to deal with.” His innocent, yet serious, emerald eyes flicked over to Mikasa with a small nod. “I shall, however make sure to teach the students as carefully as possible in order to help mould them into upstanding citizens as well as effective shinobi.” He finished with a smile before making his way toward the door. His frame bowed twice, once to the room in general and once toward the Hokage himself. “I will report in as soon as possible, Lord Hokage.”
