The two were back on their way, sliding down the path in a hurried manner as they rushed to make sure Azure was still alive and well. A worried aura emanated from the two of them, for obvious reasons, but the feeling of worry quickly turned to urgency as he noticed something through his extended vision. Two life forces glowed off the edge of the cliff beside the path they were on, and judging by both the size and familiar features of both of them, the young Byakko instantly knew what was going on.
"Excuse me Ting." There was no time to explain, and the boy quickly lifted the otter up off the ice, slung him over his shoulder, and leapt off the cliff. Undoubtedly, his ally would question his sanity, but with the situation taking such a dangerous turn, they simply couldn't wait until they reached the end of the path. The cold air chilled Yanjirou to the bones as he cut through it, but goosebumps that appeared on his skin was in anticipation for the fight. It was already clear to see that the two before him were fighting on equal grounds, but the minute difference in strength between them would ultimately decide the victor. Azure, unfortunately, was not the one with the advantage.
As they neared the ground, Yanji pumped as much chakra into his legs to try and soften the landing for the both of them. Despite his successfully managing to prevent damage, he was unable to prevent himself from falling to a knee, and breaking the ice beneath him. Already being as on edge as he possibly could be, the young Byakko was practically prepared for just about anything that could have gone wrong during his fall, and immediately hurled Ting toward the fight just before being submerged into the icy waters below. During this time, he was unable to see how things played out, but he could only hope that their - Yanjirou's rather - insane actions would be enough to catch Kuzo off guard, and end the fight as quickly as possible.
Already feeling the affects of the freezing waters, Yanji barely managed to pull himself back onto the ice. From here, his first priority was to raise his body temperature, which he did by once more building up as much chakra as he possibly could to prevent freezing to death. As he did so, he looked toward the fight, hopeful for the result - and praying to Byakko that the two would be alright. He couldn't afford to lose people he'd grown to appreciate like them, the emotional impact would simply be too much for one as inexperienced as he.
