Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Although Kamaru understood what chicken wire was ‘usually’ used for as he got closer he realized something was definitely off for the farm area since most of the area was enclosed in a fence made by the crude metal mesh chicken wire. As Kamaru craned his neck to see the top of the fence he figured it was to keep the normal riff raff out maybe. Which made Kamaru wonder what kind of ‘riff raff’ did the area have exactly. Seeing a bell to ring with a sign Kamaru did as it instructed and pulled har bang out the requested beat to let the owner know someone was close by and requested access.

Seeing a man show up in makeshift padded armor and a crossbow and looking around at Kamaru who was looking at him oddly he became self conscious.

”Now don’t go looking at me like that. Things been pretty crazy around here lately and I have a keen interest in making sure my property and person don’t come to any harm from the crazies running around.” he stammered out Kamaru thought he saw a slight flush in the man’s face.

”I’m not here to judge you but I’m looking for a man.” Kamaru offered looking around, ”And should I be worried about all this?”

Lowering his weapon the man nodded and let Kamaru in, ”Well at least I know you’re not one of the ‘nut jobs’ running around.” he commented as they both heard the wail of a woman in the distance before the sit of birds flying from the forest treetops could be seen.

”Guess another one went nuts, ran into a tree…” the man commented shaking his head.

Kamaru’s focus went to the treeline than the man and back again. []b]”Yeah…. I kinda want an explanation now.”[/b] the man lead him inside to tell him the odd events.

Some villages had what was called the slur a village idiot, a bit slow maybe but for the most part a good person. Having someone sitting in the middle of town throwing dirt into the air and having it land on them causing it to land you might think such a person would fall into the category. Granted the fact they were the Village Elder’s younger brother and an owner of a store in town and seemed quite rational the previous day would surprise you. Afterwards several people dragging someone out into the street from a bar for some unknown reason before they wandered off unsure why they were doing what they were doing happened on occasions. It seemed people had the odd urge to drag outsiders in town out into the street. When the first person attacked an outsider to town in an attempt to drag them out into the street when pushed away happened that’s when things turned for the worse. The town seemed to going into a panic, with some riotings in the streets. Some people opted to take a impromptu vacations, others held up in their homes, others well… went crazy really rioting in the roads around town causing a muck, you wouldn’t think it but in a town of less than fifty people this was kind of thing that just didn’t happen.

Takewaki Yoshiaki living on the outskirts of the village on his farm opted to protect his animals and self from the ‘crazies’ as long as they didn’t bother him he wouldn’t bother them. Having lost most rational levels of thoughts they didn’t do much around the area besides run into the wire and sometimes get stuck in it. He’d just push em back through the other side and go about his business on the farm.

When Kamaru asked about if he had heard about a man named Yamasaki the farmer did mention it sounded like what the people in town would chant when things were crazy. Lately though it was pretty quiet though. He didn’t know if that was a good thing or bad though.

Kamaru explained he’d let himself out in the morning which got a gruff response from the man. Kamaru just shrugged and explained since there wasn’t a roof of wire mesh he could easily just jump out. The farmer shook his head and muttered about it being nice to be young he figured.

As things quieted down for the night Kamaru left in the wee hours of the morning when even farmers would still be sleeping. Grabbing his gear he made his way easily over the obscrution of a wall and through the forest towards the village, in these odd hours even the crazy people probably needed time to rest. He saw a woman and moved around her through the shadows, realizing she was sleeping Kamaru took a closer look, bloody fingertips and dirt on them and a hole near her as she slept clutching a stone made Kamaru purse his lips… he should judge but it did seem odd. He thought of calling into HQ when he was done for a medical team to come out and do a once over of the village but for now he’d need to find his target. Oddly enough seeing a light on in the village at this hour was what caught his attention.

Anyone up at this hour when the town was falling apart around them had to be up to something. When Kamaru slipped inside he found out they definitely were.

The sound of someone being slapped with something solid was the first thing that caught Kamaru’s attention. The second was the mess, what once looked like a tidy home possibly now looked like it had been lived in by messy people. Seeing someone tied to a wall and being beaten but a younger person he figured out which one was probably responsible.

Taking a break it seemed the young man stiffened.

”I take it you’re here for Yamasaki Tashiro?” he inquired causing Kamaru to look around wondering how he knew he was there… how had he been found out.

Spitting in the man’s face with disgust he turned around and rummaged through a cabinet and sat down eating something he had found it seemed.

”Well you can’t have him and this little snot hasn’t bothered to talk over the last few days since I finally captured the traitor. It took forever too.” he commented venting a bit.
With a sigh he added, ”Stop trying to size me up, I can tell what you’re going to do. This is why people are annoying.” to Kamaru’s surprise.

Although he was thinking about how to resolve the situation he still couldn’t figure out how the guy knew what he was thinking before he finished thinking about it.

What followed was an exchange of blows that aggravated Kamaru. He couldn’t tell if the boy in front of him was actually really good overall or just really good at dodging since none of his attacks hit. The boy hadn’t really attacked him, just the occasional attack making it harder for Kamaru to get into position to go on the offensive. What was getting under his skin was the look for boredom and focus by the boy. Granted he seemed to keep on looking to where Kamaru would move before Kamaru was there which was throwing him off. Was he predicting where Kamaru was going to be before he got there or was Kamaru falling for some trick to make him move to where the boy wanted.

As they moved away from each other Kamaru took a breather, the boy didn’t even look like he had just been diving around the house exchanging blows with Kamaru though who plomped back down in the chair and went back to eating.

”Told you.” he explained, ”I know what you’re capable of before you do. So it’s easy to dodge your attacks, and when I can’t I attack you so you can’t make a move… I don’t actually have to hurt you… you’ll eventually just tire yourself out old man.” he explained.

Old man? Well being able to tell what I’d do is an interesting thought or what I’m capable of… he’s not even tired. I guess he doesn’t have to use that much effort if he knows what’s going to happen...well what could happen. Kamaru thought to himself looking around and sitting down facing the boy.

”How you holding up Tashiro?” Kamaru asked.

”Since the little brat isn’t beating me in the face good I guess. You hear for my head too.” Tashiro replied.

”Nope an associate of yours asked me to come pick you up, it’s a real pain in the ass though...I did have something I wanted to try.” Kamaru explained as he stared the boy down.

Kamaru went through the mental exercise of looking of instead of looking for the best way to come at the boy looking at all the options he had available. For a second the boy’s eyes crossed it seemed and he shook his head. Fear showed in his eyes for the first time. Kamaru smiled quietly as he stood up. Thinking of all the options at once with each step he took towards the boy and thinking it was just best to go on impulse had the boy standing in a guarded position as Kamaru closed the distance slowly instead of rapidly. The boy looking all around him and back at Kamaru and his emotionless blank stare turned to surprise when he felt himself lifted off the ground. As he descended back his knees felt weak and his hands flew down to cup his privates which he had been lifted off the ground by being hit in and lifted surprisingly high. As the boy squinted and coughed Kamaru moved over to the prisoner.

”Did you seriously just kick a kid in the junk?” Tashiro asked as he rubbed wrists them were red and ragged from being tied up.

”Worked didn’t it? You better hurry though since he’ll probably still be able to catch up too you.” Kamaru explained.

Once outside Kamaru formed hand seals a large mass of earth suddenly errupting from the ground and waited instructions, taking the newly free man by the collar he tossed him up onto the golems back and motioned for it to get moving. As it clabbered off Kamaru felt a bit of spring in his step as he followed. He didn’t add to let the prisoner know it felt good what he did to the kid, he didn’t want to sound to warped.

The reaction of the town suddenly was warped though as the sudden wails and people starting to follow them had them moving faster.

As a young man stomped up the looked at the bell and signed and kicked it in.

”EVERYONE HERE!” he snarled.

”That’s not very polite… Any reason you’re in such a crude mood son?” the old farmer asked coming out of his house and scowling at the young man.

”Not in the mood old man… and don’t think about going and get a switch to ‘tan my hide’. Who does that anymore? And when’d you grow up anyway?” the boy explained aggravated and slightly disgusted it seemed.

”I’m looking for two men that may have come through here. You should probably tell me and I’ll be on my way… I don’t want you falling over and dying in a fight cus well… you’re old.” the boy stated in a condescending manner.

The large mass of people behind him also made the man wonder what he would do. He noticed a different air about him in the light though that his shadow seemed larger considering the time of the day and the boy seem to be ‘darker’ as if bathed in shadows even though he was in direct sunlight.

”I can tell you about the people I think you’re looking for but you really should respect your elders.” the man commented.

”Okay so tell me and I don’t have to be respectful if I don’t want to.” the boy countered.

The man shrugged before darting forward before the boy could react exploded in a cloud of smoke as he kicked the boy into the air higher this time then last, Kamaru stayed in a staring contest with the boy as his eyes closed in pain.

”Yes again… Don’t mess with older people, we get grumpy real quick.” Kamaru explained as he launched the boy into the air again. A blinding flash of light from the air sent the shadows flitting away from the sudden light.

The crowd came to seeing a man kicked a teenager in the junk several times as he explained the events of the past week. He offered anyone who would help the farmer take down his wire fencing a ‘free kick on the boy’ to the young man’s horror to which he called Kamaru between coughs a ‘monster’. With a bludgeoned prisoner and his target he radioed in for a pick up of the prisoner and the state of the people in the town from a higher point in the local landscape. Supposedly he had stumbled onto someone with a minor bounty on his head and a team was on route to the town where Kamaru left him to the villagers with a team moving in tandem to provide medical aid to those who might need it. With his mission over he escorted his target to the village.

”Thanks for saving me… So what are you a mercenary or something and where’s the safe house before we leave the country?” the man asked.

”I guess in a way I am but in a way I’m not… you’re not leaving the country… technically you’re under arrest like your politician friend.” Kamaru explained.

The man held a hand over his face and cursed.
