Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was the first time that Takeshi would be acting for the interest of the village, the first time that he would make sure his duty was done and make sure that progress was made. It seemed that in this situation Mikasa would take the blame for this, but Takeshi knew that was not the point. He studied the man for a whole as he looked at the three of them before allowing a sigh to come to him. It seemed that the offer had been made by the Sennin, but Shinzo was destined for more than that, he was destined to see the future threw and improve the main branch. Knowing full well that he was destined to teach.

“You will have to forgive me here Mikasa, I am about to inform Shinzo of his new appointment, that was the reason behind my coming her, after seeing him in the student tournament. And how he holds himself around others, as well as his actions it has been deemed that he is set for higher things inside of the village.”

Takeshi took a breath in it was his first action as Hokage and it seemed that he would be using that new power today, the main branch needed help. It needed active members and it needed people who would be able to help it. He turned his green eyes towards Shinzo at that moment and smirked the kid had no idea what was coming but how that would change shortly, how the future would change for him and how he would climb high.

“Shinzo Deguchi, you are here by promoted to the position of Head Jounin of Leaf. You are to report to the Hokage office on your return to leaf and report to your branch head, from there you will be in charge of the training and development of the Main Branch of Leaf. Your actions in the tournament, and the way you have conducted yourself seem worth of the trust this position offers.”

Takeshi allowed himself to turn towards Mikasa in those few seconds pondering on the action that should be taken. It seemed that a lot had happened as well since he had seen the other boy but knew he belonged in the medical branch.

“I would look towards that young man you have in your branch Mikasa, he seems to be doing well. Considering both of them managed to give my Captain a good run for his money they both seem to have some true goals ahead of them. Maybe consider him for the exams.”

Takeshi allowed himself to spin on his heels as he walked back out of the courtyard but paused briefly in those few seconds knowing full well that the last words needed to be said.

“Yukio, report to your Sennin, inform him of what took place here, I would contemplate why it happened here and not in leaf”

Takeshi walked away leaving them in the courtyards with the words he had spoken to each of them when it was needed.

[Shinzo is promoted to Head Jounin]
[Suyashi recommended for exam or promotion]
[Yukio to report to Maki]

Tilting his head back the Hyuuga had not expected Mikasa's arrival on the scene however it was a welcome one all the same offering no resistance to her assistance. "Apologies you have to see me like this, though I must say when I was told I would be up against an academy student I wasn't expecting Jutsu of that calibre. Dance of the waxing moon is not an easy thing to master nor to learn in the first place especially when you heard the word student. I dare say the boy's abilities exceed that of my own students." It was high and honest praise from the Captain but one he though well-deserved given the circumstances.

Giving a slight pause to catch his breath his gaze moved over to Suyashi calculated and pondering. "The same could be said of your own trainee here, both having skills comparable to that of a fully-fledged ANBU from my own branch, in fact, something proven in his constant bouts with the young Maru." The name was spoken through gritted teeth the Hyuuga still having problems to deal with in concerns to the young ANBU. “But if this showed us anything it’s that the generation coming after us carries potential and kind hearts it would be a lie if I said this wasn’t a friendly encounter with the two of them.”

Turning his head to listen to Takeshi’s words it was a breath of fresh air to hear the one who’d been half the reason had enough potential to be named head jounin however he couldn’t help but see the downside of such things seeing the team he’d seemed to have grown with separated but in the eyes of the village this would seen to be the best choice.

This relaxed sensation would quickly come to a halt however his body visibly tensing up as his skin seemed to become paler almost matching the ivory locks in complexion as a shiver crawled down the captain’s spine. To see the Sennin for such reasons was never a good sign and anything less than the truth could end poorly a lesson he’d learned a long time ago turning to address the others. “Well that could have ended better, but at the same time I could have been worse I guess we’ll have to see how it ends. I’m sure I’ll be fine in the long run.”

Dropping his form and the fight would end... Everything happened so fast... or he just was trying to catch his breath. It was the first time he would have ever exhausted all the Natural chakra he built up. It was a weird feeling he felt exhausted but his body seemed like it could go alot longer... anyways. Takeshi and Mikasa would show up on the scene. Mikasa offering Shinzo the Medical Field option, but in a bit of one upsmenship(?) Shinzo would be granted the rank of... Jounin? Sushi jaw dropped... and he would not be able to understand this situation... Maru was a Chuunin. Shinzo was a Jounin... but Sushi was the one that was sent out of the village, to meet with village officials to create a bridge between two villages branches. Something stirred in Sushi, just a bit, but it quickly went away... a spark of jealousy. It was fueled by being in the shadow of others. When he felt like he was... supposed to be the one. Right?

'I.. I am the one born into the path of a leader... yet everyone else is passing me up?' shaking his head again he would turn away from the group, it was just too much for him. Even with the request of Takeshi to promote him. Why didnt it just happen like everyone else? Jealous. Yes, even envy... Envious of Shinzo being faster, physically stronger... Envious of Maru... weaker, but seemingly people followed him without merit or whim. What was wrong with Suyashi? Looking down at his own hands... there had to be something wrong. Everything seemed to be happening like a nightmare, an unmistakable dream... one he would not be able to wake up from.

"Hm...", then he would shake it off... Shinzo was his friend. He wanted him to succeed. He wanted him to flourish... but now he had another milestone to overcome. Shinzo. He would fight him one on one... To see who was truly better. He knew he could best Maru with ease... and now Shinzo. Suyashi found this to be thrilling, and something that would give him another battle to overcome. It would be his next arc... personally. "Congratulations Shinzo! Heh, Now you're a higher rank than me! I guess that makes you the leader of Team 8 now.", he'd lend a fist to Shinzo in an attempt to fistbump his comrade. This was going to be the start of something immaculate. Hopefully.

The brown haired boy was take aback by the sudden stop in the spar followed by the kind words of Hyuuga stood before he and Suyashi. His normally determined face was instead one of intrigue as well as slight concern while Yukio spoke up. In truth, Shinzo hadn’t quite reflected on his own abilities for some time, rather than compare himself to others, the boy just spent all his spare time practicing in an effort to gain the recognition of the village and all the shinobi within him. For that was his dream, acknowledgement. There was little delay before his attention returned to the moment.

“Yes, I understand Yukio-senpai. I am sorry if I have been a disappointment in any way.” Shinzo wasn’t quite sure what was going to happen so he simply bowed his head out of respect, half expecting some sort of disciplinary action to be taken. He stood quietly upon the arrival of who he assumed was Takeshi, the older figure stood head and shoulders above the young Seikon, but that was to be expected because of his age. His assumption as to the man’s identity was confirmed as he referred to the call that Yukio had placed several moments earlier. As Shinzo motioned to speak and answer the man’s questions another shinobi appeared. This time however the figure was one that the boy was thankful to lay eyes on, the familiar face of Mikasa took the boy by surprise but he couldn’t help but to smile in her direction.

Mikasa’s voice rang in the boy’s ears, she was right, fighting in such an open place so soon after some other incidents was a bit unwise. Shinzo lowered his head in recognition of this, slightly ashamed of the lack of consideration on this part. He held his head down, with his eyes on the floor in a small yet apologetic bow of his head. The news that Mikasa had taken over the leadership of team Akumi was a shock to the system, in truth the boy had been far from any knowledge of such a shift for a while now, but he looked forwards to seeing how things would be different. Once more the boy went to open his mouth, only this time words were unable to be formed as a headband was produced by the medical sennin. Shinzo’s arms snapped to his sides as he performed a low and extremely respectful bow towards Mikasa. His voice was soft now, the boy was completely in shock, unable to hide it this time. “Thank you, Mikasa-sensei.” He gently reached out to grasp the headband.

The thought of joining medical branch was a warm one in the boy’s mind, in truth he had never received such praise. He smiled once more towards Mikasa, this acknowledgement meant the world to the young boy, having spent so long at the academy had begun to drain him of the hope of moving on up until now. Again he opened his mouth to speak once more but the voice of Takeshi rang out. Jaw dropping news was to follow.

’Head Jounin? Does Takeshi-sama really think I’m ready for such a responsibility? Do I think I’m ready for such a responsibility?’ Doubt began to spring up in the boy’s mind as he listened, the praise lifting his spirits but the new weight upon his shoulders was a stress he had never encountered before. There was a few more seconds of doubt before a spark of determination flashed through the boy’s head. ’I will have to prove myself to everyone, prove that I can do this right, prove that I have the skills it takes. It’s doubtless that there will be judgements already forming in the minds of those who know, it is imperative that I get to work as quickly as possible.’
“It is an honour, Takeshi-sama.” He paused for a moment with a professionally serious expression on his face. “Thank you.” Once more the boy bowed a low and respectful bow towards his superior. The headband still clutched tightly in his hand.

Shinzo stood upright, turning towards Suyashi. A peaceful grin rested on his face to disguise the immense pressure he was feeling at that very moment. The blonde haired boy at his side was probably the most comforting element of the situation at hand, for the two had grown up side by side for the majority of their careers. The words from his comrade were unexpected but welcome. Shinzo smiled, reaching out his fist to bump Sushi’s. That was when he spoke up. “I don’t think team 8 has a leader Suyashi, instead we just have each other. We’re family.” The young boy’s eyes watered for a moment as he moved forwards to hug who he saw as his honorary older brother. Someone to depend on, someone who Shinzo knew would always be there for him, someone who Shinzo was excited to see advance more so than even himself.

After this he pulled back and raised the headband to his head, swiftly he tied it. The metal bearing the symbol of Konoha shone brightly in the sun of tea country. “It looks like I have a lot of things to catch up on.” A light chuckle escaped the boy’s lips as he looked to the others gathered. His brown hair was brushed back now to display the forehead protector with pride. “I’m finally a shinobi. I guess I will see you all later.” He gave another quick bow to the group before turning to Suyashi. “Let me know when you’re returning to the village Suyashi ... Nii-san.”

As soon as those words left the boy’s mouth, he was gone, the wind whipping in the area that he was just stood. Today was the start of something big, dramatic changes were to follow. This was the acknowledgement Shinzo desired and now he had to live up to it.

Tundra orbs glance upwards to catch against the Hyuuga Captain's emerald hue, silent communication between the pair. A majority of said communication came from the unorthodox promotion from Academy Student to Head Jounin, Shinzo not any older than thirteen years of age. A heavy responsibility on one's who mentality had yet to truly develop; a frightening prospect to lead a generation. This would be an item the young man would have to endure for years to come until he came into his own, further than the Hokage deemed him capable. Fortunately enough the punishment for the ANBU Captain would be to speak to his superior Sennin, unfortunately out of her jurisdiction.

Alleviating a majority of the pain, her clutches on the ivory hair male lessen and the distance between the two elongate, "My apologies on enduring up until now. We will speak later, Yukio-san." she murmurs before attending to her own branch member. Slinking her arm around the waist of the honey dew blonde, clearly unable to do so around his neck, she eyes him - daring him to jest about the maidens height disadvantage. "I wish I were able to view with my own eyes how you managed to harm the ANBU Captain. Going to Kumogakure must've been a blessing in disguise." the maiden responds in a gentle tone, "Do not worry of other branches, you are an important part of the medical. Lord Takeshi's unusual promotion of Shinzo will have a significant amount of holes to be filled to silence others." Mikasa comments in a whimsical vocal.

"You will have to support Shinzo-kun to ensure know one speaks ill of him." she adds, leaning her frame against the shinobi, "When you return to the village, we much to discuss. I had already planned on having your Medical Chief exam in the future, don't let our Hokage fool you on that notion. You better prepare yourself, Suyashi-kun, for when the time comes I need one to lead the researching group." Mikasa murmurs, utilizing clotting powder to address the obvious scraps and cuts. "Escort me out, my medical shinobi?" she beams upwards.

It had been a rather interesting series of events the sudden promotions and combat as a whole making the Hyuuga's mind drift and wander in though mind occupied on every minor detail going over the whole thing again and again processing his methods, the flow of battle, missteps and mistakes self criticism his ally in those passing moment before sighing tilting his head down to Mikasa. "Well seems i have things to do now, though I hope me and the sennin can see eye to eye on this matter. Everything should be fine....hopefully." Giving himself confidence as the maiden parted from his side nodding slowly before stretching his shoulders back relieving any lingering muscle tension.

"Indeed we shall, there is much i wish to speak with you on however there is a time and place for such things and that would not be here though it is pleasant to have seen you once more." With that his gaze crossed over to Suyashi a slight nod his sign of respect for the young man. "I underestimated you both and for that i can only apologies though rest assured it shall not happen again i expect you to keep growing from this point onward and make leaps and bounds towards reaching your goals. Maybe next we meet you'll have students of your own." With a slight smile he turned returning to the streets of the city.

It would be some time before the events of today passed out of his mind the seed of doubt about his own abilities weighing heavily on the Hyuuga's mind, though this would not last for long a problem soon to be rectified at a later date. Though he said his goodbyes to Sushi and Shinzo Yukio wondered what they would do with their new found positions, what path would they walk and would the students they taught turn out every bit as honorable as they were a thought that brought the smile back to the captains lips proud they had grown to be those the village could take pride in.
